More than a Friend

I walked along the beach of my home. The waves were splashing up against my feet and the feel of the sand under my toes felt good. I smiled. How long had it been since I had some time to relax; been able to have some time without having to fight every two seconds? Too long, I thought. I looked up from my feet and there before me was the dock where she and I had always talked.

And she was there.

She looked in his direction and smiled. Oh god, how he loved that smile. He smiled back at her and headed towards her. She giggled. He sat down next to her on the dock and looked out to the ocean and she took the time to really look at him. He had gotten taller, no doubt and his hair was a little more tamed. Not by much though. His outfit was definitely different, but she liked it for the better and he even had muscles that rivaled Riku's. His eyes, oh his sea blue eyes, were what always got her. She smiled only wider; his smile was still as goofy as ever. Sensing eyes on him, he turned and looked at her. She quickly turned away in embarrassment.

"Kairi"

"Y-yes" she looked at him again, a red hue tinting her cheeks.

He looked back at the water, "Thanks"

"For what?" she asked, confused.

"For being my friend, for waiting, for believing in me." He smiled again and laughed a little. "I guess for everything"

"Y-you're welcome?"

Man, why was she stuttering? Wasn't she the one that always kept her cool when talking to him? It was never the other way around! She mentally smacked herself. He really had grown up. Sora looked at her and suppressed a laugh. She was blushing and it looked like she was fighting with herself. She was losing the battle, too.

"Kairi"

She turned to face him again, "Yeah?"

One second he was looking at her and the next his lips were upon hers so lightly, she almost couldn't feel them. All she could do was stare at his closed eyes and when he pulled away; she still couldn't do anymore but that.

"S-s-sorry"

'Come on damn it! Say something to him! Say something!' She opened her mouth, she tried to speak, she really did, but nothing would come out.

"Aw what the heck!"

"What?" he asked looking back at her, confused.

Kairi just decided it was better to kiss him back. Now it was Sora's turn to be surprised. Her kiss wasn't as soft as his had been, but it wasn't demanding either. He kissed her back eagerly, deepening the kiss.

He was going to show her that he cared for her, would protect her, and love her…...

Not just as a friend anymore.

Me: So? You guys like it? This was my first Kingdom Hearts fic. And yes I know, I know, another One-Shot. But hey! I wasn't a One-Shot Songfic though! LoL. And it wasn't Inuyasha based. I'm still working on the full length story, but I have writers block on that. Damn writers block! growls at it

Inu: Would you stop growling at every little damn thing!

Me: Oh shut-up brother! whacks Inu on head with keyblade Anyways, please R&R! Thanx so much!
