Now that you've made it through my little spiel, let's finally get onto the story and learn just how the Nullverse truly began. Also, please don't be surprised if this chapter is a little bit shorter than my usual. That just happens every now and again. So let's get into this!

Dragon of Mystery and Yami Null Present

A Story of a Decade of Conflict

The Beginning of the Nullverse as we know it

The Injustice Wars

(Enjoy the show!)

(Our story begins not where you think it would. Not on a battlefield surrounded by destruction and the cries of the wounded and dying, but instead in a peaceful scenario. This is Dragonbreath Village, a small community established by the Element Guard, a place where anyone can come and settle down if they choose to stay out of larger cities like Warfang. And as we gaze upon the community, we see it's leader, Dragnarok, the son of the famous Spyro and Cynder, now famous in his own right for saving the multiverse from his own inner darkness, an event that's now 15 years in the past, gazing out upon the sunset, a habit he's been taking up much more since 15 years ago. As he stares out to the horizon, Dragnarok is approached by a second purple dragon, his daughter Dracia, now 21 years old.)

Dracia: Hey dad?

Dragnarok: Hmm? (Seeing his daughter behind him) What's up, Dracia?

Dracia: Mom's looking for you.

Dragnarok: Thanks, honey. (Notices something is up) Is everything okay?

Dracia: (Sighs) It's the upcoming NIL meeting.

Dragnarok: Oh yeah, I'd almost forgotten. You take charge of the Neutral Interdimensional Legionnaires in about a week or so, don't you? Your mother and I are so proud of you.

Dracia: Doesn't make me any less nervous.

Dragnarok: Nervous? How so?

Dracia: I mean, no offense, but you and Grandpa are pretty tough acts to follow. I mean Grandpa pulled the planet back together, and you, you saved the multiverse. How am I supposed to live up to that?

Dragnarok: You needn't worry about matching your grandfather and I, focus on forging your own legacy.

Dracia: Believe me, I'm trying to. There's just a lot of pressure on me.

Dragnarok: You'll do great. Now, I better see what your mother needs, and besides it's getting late. You've got a busy week ahead of you.

Dracia: Thanks for the encouragement, Dad.

(As the sun sets, we transition to within one of the homes in this village, where Dragnarok meets with his wife, Blaze, the second in command of the Element Guard.)

Dragnarok: You needed to see me?

Blaze: Yeah, I wanted to talk about Dracia.

Dragnarok: Something about her taking over the NIL at week's end?

Blaze: Yeah. She came to you already I'm guessing?

Dragnarok: I got it out of her.

Blaze: I'm worried we put this on her too soon. She's worried she won't be able to live up to our legacy in the multiversal community.

Dragnarok: From what I recall you telling me after the fact, you said something very similar about yourself when you took up leadership of the Element Guard in the Injustice Wars.

(Just as those fateful words exit his lips, Dragnarok gets an idea about how to alleviate his daughter's worries)

Blaze: (Sensing this from her husband) I know that look in your eyes. You've got an idea, don't you?

Dragnarok: Didn't you say you kept a journal during the Injustice Wars?

Blaze: I did. And I'm pretty sure I see where you're going with this one.

Dragnarok: Do you still have it somewhere?

Blaze: Of course I kept it. I used to read it from time to time after you came back to remind myself that all of that was worth it.

Dragnarok: I think it's time we break it out again.

(Hardly speaking a word, Dragnarok and Blaze have reached a plan. And fast forward to the next morning, where we see Dracia returning to the village after an early morning flight. Upon her return to the village, we see Dragnarok and Blaze standing there, waiting for her. Something apparently she was not expecting, as evidenced by her surprised reaction)

Dragnarok: Good morning.

Dracia: (As he breath steadies, then sarcastically) Good way to start the morning. With a heart attack. (In a normal tone) So, what's going on?

Blaze: We know you've been nervous about taking command of the NIL fully at the end of the week.

Dracia: Yeah, so?

Dragnarok: Well, we figured we'd help you feel a little less out of your element.

Dracia: How exactly do you plan to do that?

Blaze: With this.

(With that, Blaze pulls out an old book, weathered by age and conflict)

Dracia: You've lost me.

Blaze: After your father was killed before the Injustice Wars, I was thrust into command of the Element Guard. I had no idea what I was doing. I documented everything that happened during the Wars in this journal. So, your father and I got together and figured maybe reading it would help you regain your confidence.

Dracia: (Hesitantly) I'll give anything a shot at this rate. (Taking the journal) I'll see if it helps.

(Fast forward a few hours, and Dracia is in her chambers, and just as her nerves about everything start settling in, she remembers her mother's journal and decides it can't hurt, so she cracks open the journal and starts reading, the text opening as such)

"My name is Blaze. And I'm in way over my head..."

(And just as Dracia starts reading, our tale ends for today)

And that looks like a good spot to hold the start of this story. So this is meant to set up the format for how this story is going to go. It's going to be set as a reference of Blaze's journal. Yes, I know Spyro and Cynder were more heavily involved in the Injustice Wars than they were in the rest of the Nullverse, but Blaze is probably the closest to being in Dracia's situation, feeling way over her head. Next time, we actually start going over the events of the Injustice Wars. So be sure to tune in for that! Same time... same channel!
