A/N Haven't uploaded jack diddly squat for months now. I decided to start a little story that plays with my idea for a mix between the TV series The 100, Star Wars, and some aspects of How to Train Your Dragon. It mixes the beginning relationship of Toothless and Hiccup, with Ezra and Sabine from Rebels, and a few undecided aspects from the 100. I'll also be using a translator for Mando'a, hopefully, it's a good translator. I'll leave a little side note for each one translating it back to English.
Lost on Arctauris
Chapter-01 Survival
Sabine had slowly and groggily opened her eyes. She found herself in an unfamiliar environment. It was a dark oak cabin, with animal furs covering her, and some weird seaweed or leaf bandages wrapping her left arm, forehead, and a decent-sized poultice on her stomach. There was a fire going in the distance, she knew she wasn't in Imperial prison but didn't know where she was. She attempted to get out of bed but found herself in extreme pain before moving even a few inches.
She looked around, scanning her environment for her captor, but found only the empty room, still well furnished, with a fire going in the corner to keep it warm. There was a desk, she found much of her armor laying there, she realized, she didn't have her mesh suit on. She did, however, have warm clothes on, she was furious someone had seen her naked while she was unconscious, but also realized she couldn't really do anything about it. She tried moving again, only being able to pull herself up and sit up, but unable to leave the bed.
She'd attempted to get out of bed but felt an unyielding pain coming from her right leg, she'd removed the blanket from her leg, finding it in a primitive splint, she'd found the work to be quite impressive. Using oak wood for a splint, and what looks to be some sort of hair for stitches, she can only assume that whoever patched her up, knew what they were doing. Since she was still alive, in pain, but still alive. She also came to the perception that whoever captured her, isn't Imperial, which relaxed her, she knew she was safe in her own way.
She still didn't know what planet she was on, who had captured her, or what all happened from the time of the crash to now. But she was already feeling tired and drained. Thus, Sabine laid back down, analyzing the room once more before falling asleep. Mumbling to herself, she spoke, "Ni'm oyayc". (I'm alive) She then closed her eyes and quickly fell asleep once more.
Fifteen hours later...
Sabine had awakened once more and quickly found something different, there was a man sitting next to the fire, stoking it, and had a kettle or pot of some liquid over the fire. Sabine had quietly tried to move, but hit her leg on the end of the bed, grunting in pain, she knew she'd been discovered. He looked over, it was hard to see but she could make out a bit of a beard and a decent set of hair. He stood up, grabbed a cup and poured the fluid in the cup and added a leaf to it, then walked over to Sabine.
Sabine obviously expected the worst and lifted her body up to the back of the bed frame, she grabbed a little statue from the right side of the bed and threatened to hit him with it, "Norac be'chaaj!" (Back away!) He suddenly stopped. He raised his eyebrow and spoke, "Great, communication barrier. Relax, I'm not here to hurt you. Drink this, it'll be good for you". Sabine had no idea what he'd said, but she believed he wasn't going to hurt her, although she remained in a position to attack, he didn't show any hostility, his eyes were open and his pupils were bigger, indicating he had fear in him. Which was understandable, all life throughout the galaxy knew of the Mandalorians.
He stuck his hand out with the cup in it, waiting for her to take it, Sabine finally relented and took the cup slowly, grabbing it and pulling it away from the man, who similarly, recoiled away from her. Sabine smelled the drink, flinching away at the smell of the drink. But after taking another whiff of it, she realized that the drink contained at least a portion of Nysillin, a healing herb grown on Felucia. A very powerful one at that. The man stoked the fire once more and brought some food over.
"I know you don't trust me, and probably can't understand me, but I'm not going to harm you. If I was going to, I would've done so already so and we don't give this treatment to prisoners. These are for you too". He finished, and he put the plate of food on a table next to her, it contained some vegetables, fruits, and meat. As well as a small plate of cheese. He also put a pair of old-fashioned crutches next to her, so she can move around.
He then left the room, closing the door, but also opening a pair of blinds, allowing the sunset skies to penetrate the room, properly illuminating it. Sabine began chowing down on the food and taking the occasional drink of the tea. The sunset was beautiful, she had to admit. With the bright yellow sun turning into a beautiful orange as it sat over the horizon, she could see the open fields beyond the forest through a clearing in the trees. Sabine kept the knife that came with the meat, out of forced habit. She cleaned it as best she could and hid it under her pillow. She then grabbed her crutches and moved about the room.
Looking upon the beautiful decor as the sun sat, enjoying the freedom of movement she hadn't had in around two days now. Though she doesn't know how long she's actually been on Arctauris. Sabine quickly became exhausted after moving around, she returned to bed and quickly fell asleep once more.
The next morning...
Sabine had felt pressure on her leg and stomach that wasn't there before. Opening her eyes, to her horror, she saw the man sitting in a chair next to her, with his hands on her stomach. She pulled the knife from under the pillow, and scared the man, putting the knife to his throat, she yelled, "GEV BAL VE'GANIR BE'CHAAJ!" (STOP AND GET AWAY!) His hands suddenly went into the air, but he didn't move. He did speak though, "Easy lady, I'm changing your bandages, you don't want this getting infected do you?" She understood somewhat, looking down, she saw that the poultice that laid on her stomach yesterday wasn't there, but in his hand, and the tray next to him had another new one.
She then calmed down, keeping the knife in her steel-gripped hand, letting him finish his work. He finished and backed away, trying to speak with her again, "Umm, Ni- cuy'... burc'ya". (I am friend) When he began speaking in Sabines' native tongue, her eyes shot open, staring intently at him. She knew he didn't speak it naturally, but he can communicate with her, although he can't understand her, she can understand him. This effort to commune with her confused Sabine.
She obviously didn't trust him at all, but told him to leave by nodding her head towards the door, he complied and left, leaving a canteen of water on the table next to her. It was morning, around eight if she could tell properly. She laid in the bed, admiring the medical work he'd done on her. She felt pain in her leg more of a throbbing pain than a searing one. She's able to relax when the Man isn't in the room. She put the knife back under the pillow once she knew he wasn't listening or looking.
"Pirusti, bic liser't ve'ganir dush'shya". (Well, it can't get worse) She said. Suddenly, it got worse. She saw a squad of stormtroopers advancing towards the house. More of a patrol, most likely looking for Sabine...
A/N Well, let me know if you like this little project I had, I'll probably do some more, but this should be a good start in my opinion, it is quite a bit rushed, I did this at midnight, so I was a bit tired. I'll try and make the episodes more detailed and in-depth as time goes on.
