Welcome back to The Injustice Wars. Last time Blaze, Shade, and Blitz attempted to infiltrate the unveiling of the Society. But ultimately things weren't ending very well once Grodd learned of their appearance. Thankfully, Green Arrow and Black Canary showed up to save their tails. But just as everything appeared good, the Society's benefactor made an appearance and abducted not only the three dragons, but Green Arrow, Black Canary, and Catwoman. So what's going to happen next? Read on to discover...

(Our story resumes in a dark room of almost living metal, into which the blue light that abducted Blaze and company at the end of the last chapter deposits them, causing everyone a bit of confusion)

Blaze: Where the heck are we?

Green Arrow: It's official. We've been abducted by aliens. Fill that space in on the "things I never thought I'd say yet I say all the time" bingo card.

Catwoman: So Grodd's been getting help from beyond the stars. This can't be good.

?: (Echoing across the chamber) And indeed it is not. For you.

(With that pronouncement from an unknown voice, six tendrils shoot out of the floor and grab everyone, holding them in the air as a mass of those same tendrils rises from the floor before untangling themselves to reveal a green techno-organic humanoid with black eyes)

Blaze: Who the heck are you?

Brainiac: I am Brainiac, the Collector of Worlds.

Blitz: Already not liking the sound of this.

Shade: Something tells me I can already guess your motive in helping the Society.

Brainiac: They are a means to an end. Simply a tool by which I will achieve my ultimate goal.

Green Arrow: What do you want?

Brainiac: I have sought out the person you call "Superman". For decades I was under the belief that I had destroyed Krypton and it's civilization. However, in a rare circumstance, I was mistaken. This is an oversight I must correct.

Blaze: Well you've got the wrong people if you're looking for Superman.

Brainiac: I am aware of your world's history. But this world was added to my radar long before I discovered the Kryptonian was here. (Looking right at Blaze, Shade, and Blitz) I had heard the stories of dragons existing on this world. Yet when I first found it's coordinates, they had vanished. Even still, this world's unique contradictory nature piqued my interest.

Black Canary: If you think we'll serve you, then you're out of your mind.

Brainiac: Serve? Do I appear to be some sort of petty despot? As my title suggests, I collect worlds, and preserve their essential knowledge to enhance my intellect.

Shade: Figures. But why do I get the feeling there's a pretty big downside to all of that coming up?

Brainiac: Much like your society values trinkets made of precious metals, I value knowledge. And knowledge is much more valuable when it is rare. So once I have taken what I seek from this world, the remnants will be discarded.

Blaze: Like hell we're letting you do that! To this or any other world!

Brainiac: Your resistance will be futile. No world has managed to stop me yet.

Blaze: There's a first time for everything!

(With that, Blaze bites into the tendril holding her, causing Brainiac pain via his link to his ship, which causes him to drop everyone as a reflex. And while he's distracted, Blaze just straight up tail thwacks Brainiac in the head before he can start fighting back, and which point he uses those tendrils to try and grab everyone again, but this time, they're prepared and are able to fight off the assault from Brainiac. But even then they can't last forever as shown by Brainiac managing to pin Blaze with two of those tendrils)

Blaze: Please tell me somebody has a plan!

Catwoman: Way ahead of you, Blaze.

(With her announcement made, Catwoman pulls out a small metallic disc with a blinking red symbol on it. A bat symbol.)

Blaze: You've got to be kidding me.

Catwoman: I activated it the second we got free. Bruce should be getting to us any minute.

Blaze: How?! WE'RE IN SPACE!

Catwoman: You'll see.

(Apparently, Catwoman's plan works, as just before Brainiac can do anything to Blaze, some sort of holographic screen pops up behind Brainiac, revealing Batman on it)

Batman: Whoever you are, turn back now

Brainiac: (Surprised at the fact that Batman is talking to him) Impossible. Nothin on your primitive planet should even be capable of connecting to this ship!

Batman: Let's just say I've got some tech you have no chance of beating. Now then, I'll be taking my associates.

(And without even looking at who's all there, Batman hacks Brainiac's teleporter and zaps everyone out of there, leaving Brainiac alone as Batman disconnects from the ship)

Brainiac: (Looking back towards Earth) This planet has captured my interest even further.

(As Brainiac looks towards Earth, we focus back onto the planet, where Blaze and company have been teleported into what looks like an old subway station, except clearly modified for use by the Dark Knight as a new Batcave since the one under Wayne Manor is out of access.)

Blaze: (Seeing the new Batcave) At least he finally decided to get some lights in here.

(Just as the group is getting used to their new surroundings, Batman enters the room, clearly a little more than pissed off, especially when he sees Blaze and company)

Batman: Care to explain what you're doing back here, Blaze? I thought I told you we had this world under control.

Blaze: Well, let's just say Barry thought otherwise. Even after five years of our help.

Batman: I told Flash I would handle his concerns.

Blaze: Apparently, and I agree, that's bull. If Barry's to be believed, you were too focused on some little science project.

Batman: Sounds like Flash told you about Brother Eye. Well let me counter with this. If it weren't for Brother Eye, you'd still be stuck on that ship.

Green Arrow: Wait, Brother Eye is up and running?

Batman: It's observation protocols went online this morning.

Green Arrow: Then behold the Eye of Sauron.

Batman: I had a feeling that since it saved your life, you'd have a different opinion.

Green Arrow: You know how I feel about mass surveillance. Even for an old leftie like me that's too far.

Batman: The world's changed since Superman fell.

Blaze: Apparently not that much, seeing as we're here.

(Just as Blaze and Batman look like they're about to start a fight, Flash runs into the scene)

Flash: Is everything okay? I just got word that you were... (Sees Green Arrow and Black Canary) Ollie? Dinah? I thought you were both dead!

Blaze: It's a long story.

Batman: Barry, we need to talk. You brought them back.

Flash: Because you were refusing to take anything we said seriously.

Blaze: And now look at where it's gotten us! There's an alien world collector floating above our heads looking for Superman!

Flash: He's after Superman?

Blaze: To, as he put it, correct his error in assuming Krypton was totally destroyed.

Flash: Then we've got to warn Kara. She's probably on his target list too!

Blaze: As far as I know, he doesn't know she exists, but you're right, Barry. We need to let her know.

Batman: Kara?

Flash: The other Kryptonian I told you about.

Batman: So you're leaving the Insurgency.

Blaze: Barry's with us. Now if you don't mind, Bruce, we need to get to work.

Batman: Fine. But just know, I'll be watching you.

(And as Blaze and Batman continue their death stare, our tale ends for today)

And that looks like a good spot to end for now. We have officially introduced half of the major faction leaders today: Batman for the Insurgency, Blaze for her faction, and Brainiac for the Society. So, knowing Supergirl's history with Brainiac, how's letting her know that he's come for Earth going to go? Tune in next time to find out! Same time... same channel!
