-Duel Academy, baseball stadium-

"About time you guys showed up. What was the hold up, Jay?" said Vante, holding a baseball bat over his right shoulder.

"Sorry, I lost track on time," said Misawa, rubbing his head sheepishly. "I got wrapped up in constructing my deck."

"And I went to get him," said Jaden.

Vante and Sho made a face. Vante smirked, "Fine! But I declare a bet! Whoever team loses, will get a penalty game, deal?"

Jaden and Misawa looked at each other before agreeing.

"Then – play ball!" shouted Vante before he and Sho went over to their teammates while Jaden and Misawa went over to theirs.

"Which one of you can pitch?" asked a Ra.

"I'm pretty good, you Misawa?" said Jaden.

"The same," replied Misawa.

"Then you'll take turns – Yuki pitches first!" said the Ra. Jaden nodded and walked over to the pitcher spot while the yellow team decided that Misawa would be catcher.

Vante pointed the bat at Jaden, "You may be a good pitcher back home, but remember, I was a bloody damn good of a batter! So be prepared to see your pitch – out of here, Jay!"

Jaden smirked, "No, you wouldn't. You never were able to hit my pitches when we were younger!"

"Oh, but this time I will mate," said Vante, getting ready for the first pitch.

"Start us strong, Vante-kun!" shouted Sho.

Vante nodded as Jaden throws the baseball. The silver hair teen swing to the first throw, "Strike!" then the second, "Strike!" and then the last throw, "Strike! You're out!"

"Bloody hell!" shouted Vante.

After a few batters and two more strikers, the team switched places. The red team decided that Vante will pitch while Sho will be catcher. On the yellow team, they decided to have Jaden and Misawa bat last.

After ten minutes, Vante saw the next batter was Misawa, not Jaden. 'Damn, I was hoping it would be Jay…Get ready to be strike out, Misawa!" Vante shouted.

Misawa smirked, "Sorry to disappoint you Vante, but you wouldn't be able to. My equation to batter you is completed. And the results are – I'm going to batter you, plain and simple."

Vante gritted his teeth, "We'll see about that!"

At the side of the baseball field, Chronos was walking pass the sports equipment when something suddenly hit his face. He fell into the sports equipment as Vante and Sho were retrieving the ball that Misawa hit.

Chronos got up to see them running towards him. He gritted his teeth and snapped, "Not you two again!"

Sho panicked and hid behind Vante while the silver hair teen was trying not to laugh. Vante coughed, "A-Are you alright, Sensei?"

Chronos was about to snap at Vante and Sho when Misawa and Jaden came running towards them. Jaden and Misawa winced upon seeing the baseball in Chronos' eye.

Misawa sighed, sadly, "Please Sensei, it was me that cause the ball to hit you."

Chronos demeanor changed upon seeing the two Ra yellows. He offered a warm smile, "No need to worry. It's just a small wound, Signore Misawa…actually; there is something we need to discuss…"

Vante and Sho leaned over to try to hear wheat their professor was going to say, but Chronos notice them. He gritted his teeth, "This has nothing to do with you two, drop-out boys!" Vante and Sho flinched, "Shoo! Shoo! Shoo! Sashirsuse – shoo!"

"We're sorry!" said Sho as he and Vante left quickly.

"But that was foul, Misawa!" shouted Vante.

Jaden scratched his chin, "Um Sensei, it's sort of half my fault so I don't mind paying half of your doctor's bill."

The baseball fell from Chronos' eye which left a huge black eye. Jaden and Misawa winced once more upon seeing their professor's eye while Yubel was laughing, uncontrollably.

"Non! Non! Non! Signore Yuki! Instead paying bill, the two of you will…" started Chronos.

Meanwhile, Manjoume took his personal seat with a smug look on his face. He smirked, "Hey! Drink and massage, over here!"

"What's with him?"

"Huh? What's the matter?" asked Manjoume.

"What's he thinking?"

"Hey, answer me damn it!" said Manjoume, standing up from his sit.

"Manjoume, where are you sitting?" asked an Obelisk. Manjoume gave him a confused look. The Obelisk smirked, "This isn't your seat anymore so – move it!"

"What are you talking about? My name's right here," said Manjoume, pointing at the tag name. He looked down at the tag, but saw that his name was… "It's gone!"

"Well yeah, of course," said the Obelisk then pointed down below, "You were moved down over there."

Manjoume gritted his teeth, "What?! A seat change?! And with those slackers to boot?!" that's when he saw Chronos enter the classroom, "Chronos-sensei, what is the meaning of this?! Why was I moved with the slackers?!"

"Because you, Signore, lost to a former Slifer Red student. And there's a reason for your seat change – no ne," replied Chronos, angrily. "Signore, tomorrow, you must duel with Ra Yellow's, Daichi Misawa with a dorm change at sake!"

"T-Then, if I lose, I'll be demoted to Ra Yellow?!" said Manjoume.

"At least you have some brain cells. Now, class is about to begin so go take 'your' seat – no ne," said Chronos.

Manjoume gritted his teeth before running out of the classroom as the students started laughing at him. He narrowed his eyes, "A demotion, he says?!"

After the game, Misawa and Jaden took Vante and Sho to the Ra Yellow dorms.

"You're bloody good in baseball, mate. Close to Jay's level," said Vante.

"Aniki and Misawa-kun sure creamed us good, Vante-kun," said Sho.

"Actually, this is the key to my winnings," said Misawa, taking out his bat. Scribbled on the wood was numbers and letters.

Vante made a face, "A bloody…formula?!"

"That's right," said Misawa. "You see, I find that science, statistics, geometry. They play a role in everything that we do in life."

'Interesting. I wonder if that's how my uncles think…' thought Jaden.

Vante's eye twitched, "How in merlin's name can you do that? I can barely pass math and science."

"So, what's our penalty game going to be?" asked Sho.

Misawa smirked before the two Ra Yellows pushed Vante and Sho into the Ra dorms. They went to the second floor where Misawa opened his door room. Upon entering, Vante and Sho gasped upon seeing the walls covered in formulas.

"Mate, what's up with your walls?" asked Vante.

"Vante…those are equations," said Jaden. Vante and Sho opened their mouths in shock.

"Correct," said Misawa. "All these equations, I wrote them down out of whim. Over there is Schrodinger's Cat. Here, we have Avogadro's Law. And that's the probability formula of 'If the wind blows, a bucket maker prospers."

Jaden had to hold onto his laughter upon seeing Vante and Sho's blank expressions.

"…and what do you want us to do with these devils?" asked Vante.

"Simple. I want you both to assist Judai and me in the Big Bang of all these stars!" replied Misawa.

"Big…Bang?" said Vante and Sho.

Misawa hold up some white paint cans while Jaden was holding a few paintbrushes. Misawa grinned, "Yep. Big Bang."

Within an hour, the room was emptied and parts of the floor were covered in case the paint will fall. Jaden is using a small ladder to paint the ceiling which puzzled the brunette on how his neighbor was able to write on the ceiling. Vante and Sho were painting the side walls while Misawa was washing the falling paint from the ceiling.

"Ha, I think I'm better than Michelangelo," Jaden joked. Suddenly, the brunette lost his balance, but was able to keep his footing. But the brush he was holding, fell out from his hand and hit Vante's head.

"Bloody hell, Jay! That freaking hurt!" shouted Vante.

"Sorry pal. It wasn't on purpose, honest!" said Jaden.

"Likely story," murmured Vante before grabbing a paint bucket and was getting ready to throw it at Jaden. That's when Nagisa came in, "Hey, Misawa-kun, why…"

At that moment, Vante throw the paint towards Jaden who ducked to avoid getting paint on himself. Unfortunately, Sho and Nagisa got splashed on their faces.

Sho gasped while Jaden and Vante's faces were pale.

Nagisa stood there for a moment before gritting her teeth. She snapped, "McKnight…You. Are. So. Dead!"

Vante squealed and started to run from Nagisa while the others were having a small paint war. After the chase and a shower, the three Ra students guided Vante and Sho to the diner room.

"How many times do I have to say sorry? It's just paint!" said Vante.

"That ruined my hair!" snapped Nagisa. She hissed, "It's going to take days to completely get rid of the white paint!"

Jaden sighed, "Will the two of you quit it? Or do I have to send a message to Kai-chan?"

"…Fine," said Nagisa and Vante. That's when Misawa placed a tray of lobster on the table Vante and Sho were drooling upon seeing the food.

"It's a bloody banquet!" said Vante, happily.

"By the way, what did Chronos-sensei want with you two?" wondered Sho.

"Ah, yes. It was about a dorm exchange test," replied Misawa.

Jaden bite a piece of fried shrimp, "He offered the exchange to both of us."

"What?!"

"So, that's why you're cleaning your room," said Sho.

"Are you going to do the same thing, Jay?" asked Vante.

Jaden shook his head, "I decline the offer," before making an annoyed face, "Ever since the tag duel, Chronos-sensei has been nice to me."

"I guess promoting you to Obelisk Blue, Chronos thinks that your father will take notice and tell Mr. Kaiba about it," said Nagisa.

Jaden narrowed his eyes, "Like I'll become a puppet for that guy."

"So when's the test, mate?" asked Vante.

"Tomorrow at the Obelisk duel arena. Ten o'clock in the morning," replied Misawa.

"We'll be there!" said Vante and Sho before the two started eating.

Meanwhile at the Obelisk boy's dorm, Manjoume was video chatting with his two older brother, Chosaku and Shouji.

"Hey Jun, you do understand, right?" asked Chosaku.

"Yes, Chosaku nii-san, Shouji nii-san," replied Manjoume.

"My hands have been so tied with my election campaign, and Shouji's as well," said Chosaku, seriously, "With his banking settlements that we haven't had the time to contact you, but…"

"You are at the top academically, right Jun? Not Kaiba's little brat?" asked Shouji, seriously. He narrowed his eyes, "Ani is at the top in the political world, while I am in the financial world. Jun, you have to rule the card game world so the Manjoume family can dominate the world! You understand, don't you, Jun?"

Manjoume stayed silent.

"Beat Kaiba's spoiled princess and show them who truly their rightful Duel King is!" commanded Chosaku, seriously. "The future of the Manjoume family is riding on your shoulders."

With that the video chat disconnected. Manjoume walked over to the window and looked out of the night sky with an uncertain look.

"Easier said than done. Kaida's quite strong with those Blue-Eyes dragons in her deck. Not only that, but there's still the fact Yugi Muto's son being the Duel Prince at the age of ten," murmured Manjoume, softly. "And I can't say to my nii-sans that I might get demoted instead of being in the top…"

That's when he spotted five figures heading towards the Slifer dorms. He looked closer and saw it was, "Misawa and Judai? Are they heading to the Slifer dorms? If they are, then their rooms are…"

Over at the Slifer dorms, the two Ra's and Vante fall asleep once they were in bed. Misawa and Jaden were tried and didn't want to head over at the temporary dorm so instead they made make-shift beds on the floor. Sho and Hayato fall asleep so after.

In the morning, there were woken up by a rather loud banging and shouting.

"Bad news! Judai-chan, bad news!"

Jaden opened the door, "What's wrong, Tome-san?"

"I was unloading some boxes, but I spotted something floating by the pier. I went down and saw a bunch of cards in the water!" explained Tome.

Jaden and the others widened their eyes before Jaden dashed out of the room and the others followed him. They went to the pier to see a bunch of cards in the water.

"Ring of Destruction?! Vorse Raider?!" said Vante before gasping. "Jay, these cards are…"

Jaden nodded, "These cards are Misawa's."

Misawa sighed, "I was careless. This deck was in the desk that was put in the hallway yesterday."

"Who in the world could have done this?" asked Sho. Hayato had a furious look on his face.

"What are we going to do, Jay?" asked Vante. "We don't have the time to gather up all of Misawa's cards. How will you duel without your deck, Misawa? Your test is going to start soon!"

Misawa didn't say anything, but rather he bends over and picked up one card from the water and started walking to the main building. Jaden and the others looked at each other before followed Misawa.

-Obelisk duel arena-

"You're late-no ne, Signore Misawa," said Chronos.

Manjoume smirked, "I thought you already ran away with your tail between your legs."

Vante gritted his teeth, "Manjoume?! He's your opponent?!"

"That means – you're the one who threw away Misawa's cards into the water!" shouted Jaden.

Chronos frowned, "What did you say, Signore Judai?"

"Are you falsely accusing me of cheating, Judai?" asked Manjoume, smugly. "Why would I…"

"Are you sure about that?"

Everyone turned around to see Asuka, Kaida, Nagisa and Ryo entering the arena. Asuka narrowed her eyes, "I saw you, Manjoume-kun, tossing his cards into the shore!"

Everyone had a shock look while Manjoume gritted his teeth.

"You low life bastard!" shouted Vante, angrily.

"Shut it, slacker! I threw away some of my own cards. Or was there a name of something written on those cards?" said Manjoume.

Kaida, Jaden and Vante glared at him.

"You're going to take responsibility for accusing me of cheating," said Manjoume before looking over at Chronos, "What would you say whoever loses this duel gets expelled, Sensei?"

"But Misawa-kun doesn't have a deck!" said Nagisa. "How's he…"

Misawa interrupted, "It's alright, Nagisa-chan. I accept the duel and the terms!"

Jaden and the others were shocked.

"Sorry if I made you all worry," started Misawa. "You see, the deck that was tossed away was a mish-mash deck for tweaking. My real deck – is right here!" He opened his yellow blazer to reveal six deck holders, strapped into a dark green vast. "Behold the six decks packed with my blood and soul! Kaze as swift as the wind, Mizu as quiet as the water, Hi as aggressive as the fire, Chi as sedentary as the earth, Yami through the evil darkness, Hikari will shine!"

"S-Six decks?!" said Manjoume before taking out his deck, "Then allow me to take those gaudy bluffs of yours and char them into cinders with these flames of malice of mine!"

"Heh, that settles it. The deck that will defeat you – is this one!" said Misawa, pulling out a deck from the holder and placed it into the slot. "You'll soon learn whether this deck is for show or not, Manjoume!"

"Bring it, Misawa!" said Manjoume.

"Duel!"

Misawa: 4000
Manjoume: 4000

"I'll go first! I summon Chthonian Soldier (1200/1400) in attack mode," said Manjoume. "Then I place one card facedown and end my turn."

"My turn then – draw!" said Misawa.

"Which attribute did Misawa-kun choose?" wondered Nagisa.

"Wind? Water?" said Asuka while the others looked uncertain.

"I summon Hydrogeddon (1600/1000) in attack mode!" said Misawa. "Hydrogeddon attack Chthonian Soldier – Hydro Breath! Eliminate his soldier!"

The muddy water beast fired muddy water at the soldier and destroyed it. Manjoume loses 400 life points.

Misawa: 4000
Manjoume: 4000 – 400 = 3600

"I activate Chthonian Soldier's effect! The battle damage received by the player goes to the opponent as well!" said Manjoume.

Misawa: 4000 – 400 = 3600
Manjoume: 3600

"That's a somewhat scary effect," said Nagisa as Vante and Sho agreed.

"Then I'll activate my monster's effect, as well! When Hydrogeddon destroys an opponent's monster by battle, I can special summon another Hydrogeddon from my deck – come forth, Hydrogeddon!" said Misawa as another muddy water beast appeared on to his field. "My battle phase still continues! Hydrogeddon, direct attack on Manjoume – Hydro Breath!"

The second mud-water beast attacked Manjoume, blasting him to the floor and losing 1600 life points.

Misawa: 3600
Manjoume: 3600 – 1600 = 2000

"My turn…" said Manjoume as he slowly got up, "I activate the trap card, Call of the Haunted. With this, I can special summon a monster from my cemetery. And the card I'm summoning is – Chthonian Soldier! Next, I activate the magic card, Inferno Reckless Summon which special summons monsters identical to a monster on our field from our decks, hands, and cemeteries – all in attack mode!"

Two Chthonian Soldiers appear on Manjoume's field while a third Hydrogeddon appear on Misawa's field.

"Even with those two soldiers, their attack is 1200. Not enough to beat Hydrogeddon," said Asuka.

Ryo narrowed his eyes, "He must have some sort of plan…"

Manjoume smirked, "Precisely, Kaiser – I activate the equip magic, Chthonian Alliance! This increases the attack of the equipped monster by 300 points for each monster with the same name. Now, my Chthonian Soldier is strong enough to beat your water pets!" The soldier on the left grew taller and stronger than the other two soldiers. Manjoume shouted, "Go, Chthonian Soldier!"

The taller soldier swings his axe and sliced Hydrogeddon, destroying it and Misawa loses 2000 life points.

Misawa: 3600 – 2000 = 1600
Manjoume: 2000

"Misawa!" shouted Jaden and Vante.

"T-This isn't good. Misawa-kun's life is down to 1600," said Sho. "Things have flipped around now!"

"If you're done, than it's my turn!" said Misawa, drawing his card. "Come forth, Oxygeddon (1800/800)! Attack one of his weaker soldiers – Oxy Stream!"

Misawa: 1600
Manjoume: 2000 – 600 = 1400

"Did you forget my soldier's effect?" said Manjoume. "When Chthonian Soldier's destroyed, all the damage I take will be forced onto you, too!"

Misawa: 1600 – 600 = 1000
Manjoume: 1400

"Next, I used Hydrogeddon to attack another soldier!" said Misawa.

Misawa: 1000
Manjoume: 1400 – 400 = 1000

"And the same damage is send right back to you!" said Manjoume.

Misawa: 1000 – 400 = 600
Manjoume: 1000

Nagisa made a face, "It's like they are playing a tennis match. What's Misawa-kun thinking?"

"Nagisa-chan is right. Not only he's reducing Manjoume-kun's life points, nut his own as well," said Sho.

"Na, he's fine," said Jaden. Sho and Nagisa were confused.

"Judai's right," said Ryo. Sho looked at his brother. "The attack of the Chthonian Soldier with the equip card is 3600. It can't be defeated unless you summon a stronger monster. But look…"

With the destruction of the two soldiers, the equip Chthonian Soldier started to shrink its normal size, but that's not all.

Nagisa gasped, "With less Chthonian Soldiers, its attack has gone down!"

Jaden smiled, "Yep, Misawa made his chance to turn the match around by reducing some of his own life points."

'Right, if I can survive his next attack, I'll still have a chance,' thought Misawa before picking a card from his hand, "I place one card facedown and end my turn!"

"Your petty tricks won't work on me, Misawa! I sacrifice my Chthonian Soldier and my entire hand to summon Infernal Incinerator (2800/1800)! Come forth, Infernal Incinerator!" said Manjoume as he started to laugh. The soldier was replaced by a fiend like spider monster.

"I-Infernal Incinerator?!" said Misawa as the others were shocked minus Ryo and Kaida.

"What now, Misawa?" said Misawa, smugly. "What's more, for every one of my opponent's monsters, Infernal Incinerator's attack goes up by 200 points! And there are three monsters on your field, and so, Infernal Incinerator's attack goes up by 600 points!"

Infernal Incinerator ATK 2800 + 600 = 3400/1800

"Bloody hell! An attack of 3400?! How in hell will Misawa counter this?!" said Vante.

"Now, go! Be burned by my flames of malice, and be gone from this academy, Misawa!" said Manjoume as his monster fired his attack.

"Trap, activate – Amorphous Barrier!" said Misawa as ice pillars shielded his monsters from the flaming attack. "When there are three or more monsters on my field, this will negate my opponent's attack and end the battle! Sorry to disappoint you, Manjoume!"

Manjoume smirked, "You're a persistent one. However, your end will no doubt come on my next turn!"

"If you have a next turn, that is," said Misawa.

Manjoume gritted his teeth, "What?!"

"My turn and I activate the magic card, Bonding – H20!" said Misawa. "I'll offer my two Hydrogeddon and my Oxygeddon as sacrifices! Come forth, my Water Dragon (2800/2600)! And with less monsters on my field, Infernal Incinerator's attack goes down!"

Infernal Incinerator ATK 3400 – 400 = 3000

"Even so, my monster is still stronger than yours," said Manjoume.

"Heh, we'll see about that. My equation to defeat you is already complete!" said Misawa.

"W-What was that?!" said Chronos.

"Is he saying that the battle so far have been going as he calculated?!" said Jaden in disbelief. Vante, Nagisa, Asuka and Sho were shocked.

Suddenly a giant wave clashed into Infernal Incinerator and its attack points went down to zero.

"What's this?" asked Manjoume, shocked.

"Water Dragon's effect!" replied Misawa. "As long as this monster is on the field, the attack of fire attributes and fire type monsters becomes zero. Now, Water Dragon finish this duel – Aqua Punisher!"

The water dragon fired a massive hydro pump of water to Infernal Incinerator, destroying him. The water attack caused Manjoume to fall from the arena as his life points went down.

Misawa: 400
Manjoume: 1000 – 2800 = 0

Misawa frowned, "Manjoume, as duelist, you…

"Shut it! You just got lucky because you just happened to pick a water deck!" snapped Manjoume.

"No, it wasn't luck. You told me before the duel had started," said Misawa as Manjoume recalls what he said before the duel. "In other words, the outcome was clear before the duel began! Also, Manjoume…the cards that were thrown into the ocean are, without a doubt, mine."

"How are you sure?" asked Manjoume.

"Because I unintentionally made a memo on this," said Misawa, taking out Vorse Raider that he fished out from the water. "It's a formula. Here is your proof. But you could have written it, but then the answer would have been wrong; which is not. Manjoume, those who can't treasure their cards lack what it takes to be a true duelist!"

Manjoume gritted his teeth, lowering his head, "I've lost…yet again."

"Signore Misawa, congrats your transfer to Obelisk Blue-no ne," said Chronos.

Misawa sighed, "No. I must turn down your invitation."

"Oh? Why is that – na no ne?" asked Chronos.

"I decided back at the entrance exams that when I get into Obelisk Blue, it'll be when I'm the Number One duelist in the academy," said Misawa before looking over at Jaden and Kaida. "Judai, Kaida…you both show great kills as a duelist and in order for me to get to Obelisk Blue, is to beat both of you in a duel."

Kaida smiled, "It'll be an honor to face you, Misawa-kun."

"I'll take you on as well," said Jaden. "I take it you still need time to face us?"

Misawa nodded, "These decks aren't yet completed. They're mere prototype decks for Judai's Elemental Hero deck and Kaida's Ultimate Dragon deck."

"Prototype…deck?" said Jaden and Kaida.

"P-Prototype deck? I lost to that?" murmured Manjoume.

"Perhaps I can finish it before the re-coated walls of my room are filled up with formulas," said Misawa. "It'll be my seventh deck and the one that'll defeat Judai and Kaida's deck…"

Jaden and Kaida smiled. How they love a challenge.

"A deck that'll get the better of us…" said Jaden.

"Sounds interesting, indeed," said Kaida. 'Especially if we use our real ace cards.'

"I can't wait until you finish your seventh deck. That'll be when we'll rumble!" said Jaden as Kaida winked at him.
