Me: Surprise! Double update! As this was the shortest chapter and duel. Hope you enjoy both updates and I'll be working on the next chapter. If you guys have any ideas, feel free to PM me since the DA boys wants Kaida's attention.
I'm still working on Reunion and hopefully I'll have it done soon before I get word out about my bypass surgery…and no, I'm not getting it just to lose weight. I need it so I can do the liver tumor surgery and control some of my health issues as well.
Enjoy!
P.S: Oh, if you guys do me a favor, read ShadowFireHime-Sama's Gemini Yugioh Gx fanfic? I'm read it and it's pretty good, well in my point of view. If you like her story leave a review if you don't mind.
-Slifer Red Dorm, night-
Nagisa was pouting, sitting next to Hayato who was cooking some food with Daitokuji while Vante and Sho were in a middle of a duel.
"Ah, lighten up Isa! Winter vacation just started! No bloody school work!" said Vante, happily.
Nagisa's eye twitched, "Lighten up?! How can I? Kai-chan and Judai aren't here!"
"I summon Giant Rat (1400/1450) in attack mode," said Vante then slightly turned his head, "So they had to head home and you know why so stop whining!"
Nagisa was about to argue back when they heard the sliding window door broke. They turned around to see an Obelisk blue student on the floor.
"W-What the…" said Sho.
"Is he alright?" asked Nagisa.
"Hey mate, you okay?" asked Vante, poking at his head.
The Obelisk lifted his head, slowly, "I-It's after me!"
"Who's after you?" asked Hayato.
"J-Jinzo," replied the Obelisk.
"Jinzo?" said Nagisa with confusion, "The monster card? Why is he after you and how?"
"Daitokuji-sensei! You research about duel spirits! Sensei, you'll understand me!"
"Duel spirits?" murmured Vante.
"Wait, you're Takadera-kun from Obelisk blue, aren't you-nya?" said Daitokuji as the Obelisk student nodded. The Head of Slifer bends down, "Please, try to calm down-nya, Takadera-kun. Tell us everything from the beginning-nya."
"Y-Yes, of course," said Takadera, nervously. They took a seat at the diner room, "It happened a while before winter vacation started. We, the Takadera Occult Brothers…"
"Takadera Occult Brothers?" asked Sho as Vante made a face.
"It's a group that Mukouda, Isaka and I, Obelisk blues, made to research aspects of occult dueling. In particular, we researched what you'd call the origins of dueling: spirits. And, on the day, we decided to put what we'd researched to the test and contracted a spirit using an Ouija Board," explained Takadera.
"Oh Jinzo, please heed our call!" said the three Obelisk. Suddenly, there was a strange sound coming around the library when a book fell from a bookshelf.
"Offer me three sacrifices. If you do so, I will be reborn,' his message read," finished Takadera.
Daitokuji frowned, "You shouldn't have gone into researching both dueling spirits and phenomena-nya."
"So, what sacrifices did Jinzo ask for, Takadera-kun?" asked Sho.
"We…We thought it meant sacrificing monster cards!" replied Takadera before looking down, "But in truth, the sacrifices Jinzo wanted were…"
Nagisa widened her eyes, "Your souls! He was demanding human souls as sacrifices!"
"Mukouda and Isaka vanished – they were offered as sacrifices!" said Takadera. Sho fell off from his seat while Hayato went pale.
"Hey mate, calm down. You sure they didn't leave for winter vacation?" said Vante.
"I called both their parents, but I was told they hadn't returned," said Takadera while Daitokuji looked worried. "I knew I was next, so I planned to leave on today's ferry. When I did," recalling what he saw inside the boat, "He was there! Jinzo wouldn't stop until he gets me as his last sacrifices!"
'Jinzo's spirit,' thought Vante. Suddenly, the light went off, "Isa, let go of my neck!"
"Please, calm down everyone-nya," said Daitokuji.
Suddenly, the light returned and standing in front of them was a dark cloaked figure that was holding an unconscious Takadera. Sho, Hayato, Daitokuji, Nagisa and Pharaoh screamed in fright while Vante made an annoyed face.
""I-It's really…" said Nagisa.
"Jinzo, let Takadera go!" said Vante.
The cloaked Jinzo simply took off with the unconscious Takadera. Vante cursed before running after Jinzo into the forest. Nagisa and the others followed after recovering from their shock.
"W-Where did Jinzo go?" asked Sho as they stopped.
"Don't know. I lost sight of him," said Vante, rubbing the top of his head. Suddenly, Pharaoh started hissing to the left.
"What's wrong, Pharaoh-nya?" asked Daitokuji.
"Pharaoh's whiskers, they're…" said Sho.
"Mm, animals are sensitive to the paranormal. Maybe he can sense Jinzo's spirit," said Nagisa.
"Then, let's go," said Vante, running to the left path. They reached to an unknown fence area.
"Where are we?" asked Sho.
"This is the power supply for the entire island's electricity-nya. Be careful," replied Daitokuji.
That's when Vante spotted the Obelisk student lying on the ground. He shouted his name and was running to him when electricity started to spark all around. Suddenly, Jinzo appeared from the gathered electricity.
"Sensei, can duel spirits become real?" asked Nagisa.
"Um, well…t-this is the first time I've seen one appear like that-nya," replied Daitokuji.
"Hey, Jinzo! Let Takadera and the others go! Take me as a sacrifice!" shouted Vante.
"Vante-kun, no!" said Sho.
"What the hell are you doing, Vante?!" snapped Nagisa, angrily.
"…if that's what you wish, boy," said Jinzo.
"Easy there, mate," said Vante, smirking. "There's a condition. If you win, I'll become your sacrifice, but if I win, you'll left Takadera and other two go, deal?"
"Interesting…I accept. I'll use you as my final sacrifice for my summoning to the human world!" shouted Jinzo as electricity surrounds them. "There's no longer any escape for you, my last sacrifice!"
"Like bloody hell I'm going to lose!" snapped Vante.
"Duel!"
Vante: 4000
Jinzo: 4000
"I'll take the first move – draw! I summon Malice Doll of Demise (1600/1700) in attack mode!" said Jinzo as a wood doll, holding an axe appeared on his field. "From my hand, I activate the permanent magic, Ectoplasmer! During the end phase of our turns, both players can sacrifice a monster on their field to deal half of its attack as damage to the opponent."
Once Jinzo finished his turn, the spirit of Malice Doll attacked Vante and loses 800 life points.
Vante: 4000 – 800 = 3200
Jinzo: 4000
'That magic card can give yea an advantage…or disadvantage,' thought Vante, "My turn, draw! I activate the field card, Zombie World."
The plant area changed into a dark field of endless bones and skills around them.
"Not this card again," murmured Sho.
"I've seen much scarier things than this," said Nagisa.
"I summon Zombie Master (1800/0) in attack mode. And activate his effect! By sending a monster from my hand to the graveyard, I can select a level 4 or lower Zombie type monster in either graveyards and special summon it to my field," said Vante as he send one card to the graveyard.
"But Jinzo has only one monster on his graveyard and it's a Fiend type monster," said Sho.
"Ah, remember Vante's field spell does," stated Nagisa.
"Oh – Oh! Right!" said Sho.
Hayato nodded, "Makes all monsters in the field and graveyard Zombie type."
"Come back to the living – Malice Doll of Demise!" said Vante.
The doll appeared, but it looked different. His hair was covered with mud and blood, the eyes were red and one was hanging out, the teeth were bloody. His clothes and shoes were covered in mud and blood and the axe was stained with blood. His wooden body was rotten.
Sho and Hayato freaked out while Nagisa rolled her eyes.
"Now attack Jinzo directly, my zombie minions!" ordered Vante.
Vante: 3200
Jinzo: 4000 – 3400 = 600
"Impressive. Vante-kun was able to damage Jinzo's life points, heavily," praised Daitokuji.
Nagisa smirked, "And he's not done yet."
Sho and Hayato widen their eyes, "Jinzo's spell card!"
"Now, I'll use the effect of the Ectoplasmer you activate! I'll sacrifice Malice Doll and use half its attack to damage you!" said Vante, smirking.
"What?! No! I need to be resurrected!" shouted Jinzo.
"Sorry mate, but you should never duel against a Pro-Zombie duelist – now, go back to the spirit world where you belong! Go Malice's spirit – end this duel!" said Vante.
Just like before, the spirit of Malice Doll comes out and attacked Jinzo, causing him to lose all his life points.
Vante: 3200
Jinzo: 600 – 800 = 0
"No! I was so close!" screamed Jinzo. Suddenly, a bright light surround Jinzo's body before engulfing the power supply area.
Vante and the others were engulfed by the strange energy, but when it dims and night turns to day. Walking up, Vante looked around to see Takadera and his friends lying nearby, unconscious.
Daitokuji sighed, "It would seem they're all right-nya!"
"How can it be morning already?!" said Nagisa as Hayato agreed.
Sho walked over to Vante, "So, it wasn't a dream, huh? Duel spirits, sacrificing human souls…sounds like…"
"The Game of Darkness…I have a feeling it's making a comeback," said Vante. Sho and Hayato looked worried while Nagisa had a serious look on her face.
