Author's Note: This fanfic is a request made by StoriesUnleashed. It is also part of my Spider-Verse fanfic collection. I have decided to make crossover fanfics with Spider-Man and any other fandom. It won't just be about Spider-Man though. It can be about alternate universe versions or different variations or side characters or supervillains or even Spider-Man from movies and cartoons. For example, Venom will be a part of Inside Job.
For Venom's lines, I'm going to bold them.
Any and all comments are welcome.
It all began early in the morning when Reagan Ridley was getting ready for work. She looked tired as usual, but she still had a full day to look forward to. She put on her lab coat and started to leave.
Reagan sighed once she entered the living room and saw her father, Rand Ridley, laying on the couch as usual gulping down bottles of alcohol. He had a barely shaven face and gray hair. He wore a red ski cap and a red bath robe that also had pink flowers on it.
"STUPID IDIOTS!" Rand shouted as he tossed his empty beer bottle at the television. Thankfully, his daughter caught it before it hit the screen.
"Jesus, Dad. You can't just throw bottles at my TV anymore."
"You'd do it too if you had to see all those sheeple blindly documenting those fake museum exhibits." Rand said. "What kind of goddamn idiot doesn't see that those moon rocks are just gravel?"
"As much as I'd love to keep you from destroying TVs." Reagan said rolling her eyes, "I don't want to be late for work. So I'll see you tonight. And Dad, for the love of God, don't break the house or try to expose the company again." She walked right out the door leaving her dad to sigh.
Once he was sure that his daughter was completely gone, Rand opened the window next to him. "Okay. The coast is clear. Get in here."
A man climbed out from the bushes outside and stepped right through the window. He was a rugged man wearing black clothes. He brushed himself off before turning to Rand Ridley.
"So that's your daughter?" he asked. "She seems like a real dandelion."
"Not really. Sometimes, she's just asking for trouble." Rand said as he turned off the TV. "So, are we doing this interview or what, Dock?"
"It's Brock. Eddie Brock. You're the one who contacted me."
"Well, you were kind enough to answer. I want the truth out there, and you're the only reporter willing to tell my story."
"Right. Your conspiracies." Eddie sat down next to him with a notepad in his hands. "Honestly, I've been suspicious of the government myself."
"You can't be suspicious of something that doesn't exist." Rand said. "I brought you here to talk about the deep state."
Eddie raised his head with interest. "I'm sorry. The deep state? I thought that was only a rumor."
"Oh, it's real, all right." Rand said. "A whole shadow government that controls the world. In fact, they use a company as a cover. It's called Cognito Inc. Fake moon landings. Reptile people posing as celebrities. The guy who killed JFK. They're behind it all."
"How do you know this?" Eddie asked.
"I know because I used to run the place." Rand replied. "Yeah, I was a master genius behind all the world's conspiracies. But all that was ruined by my asshole of a partner, JR. He pushed me out of the company, and now, I'm reduced to drinking underneath my own daughter's rooftop, and she actually sides with that bastard."
"So she works at this Cognito Inc too?" Eddie asked.
"Yeah. She works over at robotics and she's basically high up in the organization. You know that meltdown the president had the other day with his Cube idea? That was actually a robot copy that Reagan built. They switched him back with the real president who they are now controlling with sniper rifles pointed at him."
"I see." Eddie said. "Well, all that sounds very interesting, but anyone can just say that. I'm keeping an open mind about your claims, but the public's going to want some proof if they're gonna take this seriously. And I'm guessing you don't have any."
"No, but I'm sure you will soon." Rand said. He reached behind the couch and pulled out a small card which he passed to Eddie. "That there is an access card I forged. You can use it to get into basically any room in Cognito Inc. That'll be your chance to get in."
"If you already had a card, why do you need to give it to me?" Eddie asked.
"Because they'd recognize me. I can't go into Cognito Inc because I'll be tackled right away. But they've never seen you. If you keep your head down, then you'll get in and get out with whatever proof you find. Maybe from the robotics lab. That's bound to have a boatload of evidence for you."
Eddie looked at the keycard in his hand. "And you're sure this will work?"
"Trust me. You do this, and everything will change."
After an afternoon of consideration, Eddie decided to give it a shot. He drove all the way to the outside of the building where Rand said it would be. Eddie parked his car at the forest side of a gate he climbed over. He slipped past the cars and came across a side door. He gave his keycard its first swipe, and much to his delight, it worked. The door was unlocked and Eddie Brock was able to get inside.
Once Eddie was in, he walked a couple of empty hallways until he gasped in surprise at the lobby. Above him were floor after floor filled with things only seen on conspiracy boards. A frozen yeti. People who turn into globs. There was even a tiny, misshapen person in a water gallon.
"This is unreal." Eddie said in disbelief. "Everything that old coot said is actually true. I gotta get some proof of all this. But how do I get through unnoticed."
Eddie hid behind a pillar when he noticed an employee walking past. The employee stretched his arms and yawned. "Well, guess I better use the restroom. Although, I do hate bringing my lab coat with me when I have to take a shit. Better leave it here and be back for it when I come back." He removed his coat and headed to the bathroom. Eddie saw his chance and took the coat with him.
After taking the coat, Eddie searched from one door to another. He headed up a flight of stairs and checked a few hallways until he found the place he was looking for. He swiped his keycard and entered the robotics lab.
Eddie stopped in the middle of the room to gaze at everything. "Perfect." He smugly pulled out his phone and started taking pictures. "Bam! Fake president desk. Bam! Robot arms. Bam! The scientist in charge. Wait, what?"
Eddie was caught off guard by Reagan who stood in front of him with an annoyed look on her face and her arms crossed.
"Who are you?" Reagan asked.
"Uh… New guy?" Eddie replied weakly.
Reagan rolled her eyes and pulled out what looked like a code scanner from her pocket. She flashed a green light on Eddie's face and looked at the results on the screen there.
"Nice try, you idiot. You don't even work here. You shouldn't be here."
"Uh… I couldn't agree more. Where's the exit? I'll let myself out." Eddie tried to leave, but Reagan stood in his way.
"You're not going anywhere. You saw too much. Now, I'm gonna have to destroy your body and erase all record of your existence. Even your own mom will forget all about you."
Eddie gulped while Reagan exchanged her scanner with what looked like a small button set. She pointed it at the center of the lab and pressed a red button. Eddie watched as the circular center of the room hissed and opened up. Slowly, a white, metal device was revealed on a metal platform. Eddie was both confused and unfazed by the fact that the device turned out to be a vacuum cleaner.
"Well, that's effective." Eddie said mockingly. "What's it scanning for? Dust bunnies?"
Reagan displayed a cocky smirk before pushing another button on her device. Suddenly, the vacuum cleaner began to shift its gears and metal plates like a Transformer. Eddie watched in shock as the vacuum cleaner had become a giant, menacing robot in less than a minute.
"HOW BIG ARE YOUR DUST BUNNIES?!"
"All right, buddy. Love to do this to ya." Reagan said readying to push her last button. "Any last words before I put my robot to attack mode?"
"Uh…. Yeah. I just want to say… SNOWBALL BANANA!"
"What?" Reagan asked confused. "That doesn't make any…"
Eddie saw his chance. With Reagan's guard down, he pushed her out of the way and exited the lab. He ran wildly while Reagan growled and pushed the button on her remote. The giant robot began to move and run in the same direction as Eddie was.
Eddie panted with deep breaths running through each employee he came across. The robot kept a lock on its target ignoring all the Cognito Inc employees it ran out of the way. Eddie grabbed a framed picture and tossed it back, but it didn't slow the robot down. He then tried to open a door in its way, but it just broke right through it.
Once he gained a far enough edge from the robot, Eddie stopped at a locked door. He waved his keycard in front of its lock, but it just beeped red.
"ACCESS DENIED."
"What?" Eddie asked. "But that old guy said this would open any door! What…" He stopped talking and ran away when the robot began to get closer.
Eddie kept coming across more doors he tried to open and failed. He kept trying until one electronic lock went green and the door opened up. He wasted no time running into the door. He didn't even stop to read the sign above, which read "Extraterrestrials". Luckily for Eddie, the robot didn't see him get into that room and continued to stomp right past.
Eddie took a second to take a very deep breath. Once he did, he took a second to look around. From left to right were capsules displayed on the wall. Each of them held a different, sleeping creature he had never seen before. He immediately realized what they were when he saw a little, gray man with big, starry eyes.
"Aliens. They're keeping aliens asleep here. Of course, they are."
Eddie kept walking at a slow rate until he stopped in front of a small jar in between two capsules. He stared at the jar, which had a strange, black liquid inside.
"Is that an alien?" he asked. "Perhaps it's some kind of space soda or something."
Suddenly, the door behind him was demolished. Eddie freaked out seeing the same robot he was running from locking its eyes at him. It continued to run for him when Eddie grabbed the first thing he could hold, the black liquid jar. He immediately threw it at the robot, but the metal giant threw its fist and shattered the jar upon impact.
The liquid that was inside the jar flew out back to the person who threw it, Eddie Brock. Eddie yelled as the black liquid splashed all over his body. He groaned in disgust for a second before he began to feel something. The black liquid began creeping all over him getting into his nostrils, his eyeballs, his ears, his fingernails… Basically, every hole it could slip though.
Once it was completely sunken in, Eddie shuddered and trembled. That's right when the robot swung its fist and sent Eddie flying across the room. When the Reagan and the security team entered, they found him sprawled on the ground with his eyes rolled back and his legs bent in different directions.
"Well, that's one way to get rid of him." Reagan said. "All right, boys. Just clean up this mess while I switch my appliance-bot back to vacuum mode."
Reagan turned to press the button again and compact the robot. But before she could, a security officer got too close to Eddie Brock's sprawled body, which reached out his hand right at his ankle. Reagan turned around and gasped as Eddie Brock's body was being covered by the black liquid which straightened out his body. It completely enveloped Eddie's body as it stood back up wearing white, demonic eyes and a grin full of long, sharp fangs.
"Eyes. Lungs. Pancreas. So many snacks, so little time."
"Holy crap, he achieved symbiosis!" Reagan freaked out before pushing the button on her remote. "Robot, subdue!" The white robot understood her command and ran toward the black monster, which sank its teeth all around the security officer's head and ripped it off.
After consuming the officer's head, the monster tossed the decapitated corpse right at the robot, which actually slowed it down a bit. The monster then roared and jumped right toward it reaching out its claws. Reagan could only watch as the black monster punctured right through the robot's chest and destroy it. It landed right behind her.
"MY ROBOT!" Reagan shrieked.
"Well, that was a waste of tax dollars!" the monster laughed. "Later, you effers!" It jumped up to crash right through the ceiling.
The rest of the security team stared at the hole above them in complete surprise along with Reagan. She took a breath and turned to the security leader.
"Contact JR. Tell him the Symbiote is loose. And it finally has a host."
When Eddie Brock came to, he found himself sitting in the middle of a broom closet. There wasn't much there, so he had plenty of legroom, but as soon as he remembered what the black monster did, he began to freak out and sweat.
"What's happening?!" Eddie asked loudly. "I don't understand! Why…"
"Shut up, Eddie! You want to alert the entire company of your location?"
Eddie jumped up looking around. "Who said that? Where are you?"
"Wherever you are."
Suddenly, the black liquid reached out from his left shoulder stretching like a snake. It formed the same face it made earlier when it turned to face the frightened reporter.
"What the hell are you?" Eddie asked.
"I am Venom. And you are mine."
