Welcome back to The Injustice Wars. Last time, we took a quick break from the action of the story to see how Dracia is processing this, as well as get some backstory on Goldix. But now we get back to the story. So what awaits as the Legion contemplates the words of Doctor Fate? Read on to discover...

(Our story resumed back in Legion Headquarters, where the group is still trying to comprehend the message from Doctor Fate, exactly as we left them.)

Blaze: So is everybody going to ignore the fact that he said there's a third enemy faction coming?

(At this point, the revelation appears to have set in, and at that moment, Flash looks at Blaze worriedly)

Flash: I'm starting to think I shouldn't have said anything.

Blaze: (Now unamused and worried) What do you mean Barry?

Flash: Remember that group of Malefor worshippers I mentioned?

Blaze: Let me guess, they just got a lot more dangerous, didn't they?

Flash: Not that I can tell. But I've got a bad feeling they're going to be connected to it in some way.

Blaze: Truth be told that's not even the part I'm worried about.

Green Arrow: Then what are you worried about?

Blaze: They said this group would be led by the last person we'd expect. I'm trying to figure that out before something goes wrong.

Supergirl: So then, who's the last person you'd expect?

Blaze: Still thinking about it.

(As Blaze continues to think, something can be heard moving through the tunnel leading into this room, eventually revealing a swarm of bats, and eventually, Batman himself.)

Blaze: (Swatting away bats as she sees Batman) DO YOU HONESTLY TRAVEL WITH A FLOCK OF THESE THINGS?! WHAT THE HELL FOR?!

Batman: You all know I wouldn't be here unless it was urgent.

Blaze: Funny, because we didn't expect you to be here period.

Batman: Something just struck the Insurgency. Thought you might know something about it.

Spyro: As presumptuous as ever Bruce.

Batman: I don't have time for stupid comments. This is serious.

Cynder: Then make your statement and leave.

Batman: Something just took over Brother Eye.

Blaze: Sounds like a trick Brainiac would try to pull.

Supergirl: That's actually exactly how he got to Kandor. Took out the central computer system.

Ember: Besides, it fits strategy wise too

Flame: Take away the toys, and he's left defenseless

Batman: It wasn't Brainiac.

Blaze: What makes you so certain?

Batman: Whatever took over Brother Eye said he served someone else.

Catwoman: And you just expect us to know who that might be?

Batman: Not you, Selina. The dragons specifically.

Leroy: Well you haven't given us much information to indicate we know this person.

Batman: Their title might tell you otherwise.

Blaze: That being...?

Batman: The New Dark Master.

(With that, an air of tension settled over the room. The dragons recognize the title, and Flash is kicking himself for bringing this group up at all)

Blaze: Looks like you were right, Barry.

Flash: Believe me, I'm already kicking myself for it.

Blaze: Guessing you know what's happening already on that front?

Batman: They were on my radar, as a low class threat.

Blaze: They're a high class threat now though, if they've taken over Brother Eye.

(At this point, all the computers in the room start acting haywire, leaving everybody confused as to what's going on.)

Blaze: (Turning to the expert) Barbara, what's happening?

Batgirl: Something's trying to get into the Oracle system.

Batman: Probably trying to take it over too. Don't...

Blaze: You don't give the orders here, Bat. (To Batgirl) What's the sitch?

Batgirl: It's not a cyber attack. It's a message.

Blaze: Let it play.

Batgirl: Are you sure?

Blaze: If it was Brainiac, there wouldn't be a problem with him taking over the Oracle system straightaway. This has to be Brother Eye. Let's see if we can't find out who this "New Dark Master" is.

Batgirl: Alright, if you're sure.

(With that, Batgirl let's the message through to the Oracle system, and before long runes start filling the screens, catching everyone off guard)

Green Arrow: This better not be some Ring nonsense.

Spyro: It's not, these are genuine dragon runes.

Cynder: I'm impressed that this group actually knows these. There's not even a lot of dragons who do.

Batgirl: Hold on, it looks like they're forming something, and before long the image of Darkblood appears on the screens in the room, surprising all the dragons in the room, as immediately they recognize the form this evil is taking. A form they'd long thought gone.)

Darkblood: Greetings and bienvenue, my adversaries. I am Darkblood, the new Dark master.

Batman: (Trying to be brave) What do you want?!

Darkblood: You dare to interrupt me, mortal?! (Sighs) Very well then. Straight to the point as ever with you. Listen well, all of you...

(Even in this moment, the entire room is speechless, but then Blaze finds the courage to almost whisper exactly what she's thinking, the disbelief evident in her eyes, now welling up with tears of shock, and strangely some form of... joy I want to say, but mostly shock.)

Blaze: D...D...Drago?

(And on this observation of what should be impossible, our tale ends for today.)

And that looks like a good spot to end for now. So, Dark blood is about to make a move in contacting his enemies. And it looks like Blaze is the first to notice the familiar visage before them. But I wonder, is the Legion the only one receiving the image? More on that next time. But now that he has reached out, what does the New Dark Master want? What are his demands? Tune in next time to find out! Same time... same channel!
