Welcome back to The Injustice Wars! Last time, Darkblood made his presence known, and just about every dragon in the room was completely surprised that they all somehow saw Dragnarok behind the evil drake's eyes, even if briefly. Blaze in particular was surprised, to the point of remaining silent through his entire message, but ultimately noted that if Enchantress, who was in the transmission, will pay if she had anything to do with this. With that mind blow out of the way, what's going to happen next? Read on to discover...

(Our story resumes in Kahndaq, where we see Superman, Wonder Woman, Black Adam, Aquaman, Cyborg, and Robin watching the previous scene that just unfolded from one of Adam's observation crystals)

Wonder Woman: The world is spiraling into chaos without us. Now there's three threats running around.

Black Adam: These dire straights must be stopped.

Superman: And that's what we're here to do. (Now floating off the ground) Time to show this world that the Regime is still it's best hope.

(As the Regime mobilizes to action, we focus back in on the Legion and Batman, who are currently trying to debate what to do about this new "Empire" threat)

Flash: Bruce if you think the Insurgency will be able to handle this guy, PLUS Brainiac AND Superman on your own, you're out of your mind!

Green Arrow: Barry's right. Brainiac alone is a disaster, Brainiac and Superman is an apocalypse, but add all of that to this Darkblood character, who we know nothing about, this is going to be the end of the universe

Batman: I don't trust Blaze, or any of these dragons really, to handle the situation objectively. Given their supposed connection to this Darkblood character.

Spyro: Even if that is my son, we still will fight him to the end if he's turned to the dark side.

Batman: And how do I know you won't let him escape if he's on the ropes and you have the opportunity to kill him?

Cynder: Like you did with Superman?

Supergirl: Still waiting for an answer on why that happened by the way.

Batman: That's not relevant at this point.

Flash: Given as your choice led to part of this situation in the first place, I'd say it is kind of relevant.

Batman: Don't make me smack you, Barry.

(As the rest of the team goes about arguing what is happening, Blaze is thinking, looking back on how this Darkblood character could be her beloved Dragnarok, but in that moment, it hits her)

Blaze: Wait. I think I know how Drago could've gotten into this situation.

Shade: (Confused) You do?

Blaze: It seems to me that this Enchantress character must be connected to this Malefor worshipping cult. Am I correct, Barry?

Flash: Connected? She founded it.

Blaze: She must've been trying to revive Malefor to conquer this world, but ended up with Drago's spirit by mistake. Something in the spell she used must've corrupted him and turned him into this!

Batman: You've got to be kidding me. That's a leap in logic.

Spyro: Not as much of one as you'd think.

Cynder: I've never heard of spirit corruption, but it's a distinct maybe.

Blitz: Even then, we'll need more evidence to prove your theory.

Blaze: I'm working on that. So far the only plan I've got is to plant a mole in this Empire and see what we can find. But I don't know who would be the best fit.

Green Arrow: If I could make a suggestion?

Blaze: I'm all ears. Internal or otherwise.

Green Arrow: Deathstroke might be a good choice.

Deathstroke: Kid, I was never good at undercover work, he'd put me together in a heartbeat.

Black Manta: If the assassin's too much of a coward, I'll do it.

Green Arrow: That's... honestly a better call than what I came up with.

Batman: This Darkblood guy likely saw him on the transmission.

Blaze: Maybe, but he'd make the most convincing defector of any of us. We'll...

(And just as Blaze starts making a plan to send Black Manta in as a defector, and alarm starts going off across the room, as well as on Batman's wrist gauntlets.)

Blaze: What the heck is going on?

(At this point, Flash goes to work and pulls up the source of the alarm, and it's disturbing)

Flash: Looks like we've got more trouble. Brainiac's finally started his invasion. Moscow, Beijing, Gotham, They're everywhere!

Blaze: Brainiac must be choosing what cities he wants to "collect". We'll have to figure out setting up Black Manta as a spy later. We've got to get into action. Now. (Looking to Batman) Can we count on you to assist in this situation?

Batman: I'll be handling this situation. But we are not allies.

Blaze: Close enough.

(With this statement made, the group heads out to battle, but not before Batman notices they're standing at the old Justice League conference table, then looks to Flash)

Batman: I can't believe you kept this.

Flash: This is one of your storehouses, Bruce. You were the one who kept it.

Batman: (Thinks about it) No idea why. The League is dead.

Flash: (Looking back towards the rest of the Legion leaving) I'm not so sure.

Batman: Then you've got way more hope than I do, Flash.

Flash: For some reason, I doubt that.

(With that, Flash dashes off to join the Legion, leaving Batman to stare at the old conference table, proving to at least the author that he still has some hope that Flash is right, but before long leaves the scene as well, going to rally the Insurgency, as our tale ends for today)

And that looks like a good spot to wrap up for today. So, it looks like Black Manta's about to do some undercover work. But will Darkblood be able to pick him out as a spy? But it looks like that's going to have to wait for now, as there's an invasion going on to worry about. So, what's going to happen next? Tune in next time to find out! Same time... same channel!
