I'M BACK
Well... sort of.
Not really.
So if you've all been following the RWBY franchise like I had, there had been a follow-up to the franchise...
But it's still technically a spinoff, and with Vol 9 delayed, my priorities resurfaced.
Writing both narrative and descriptive chapters does take a lot of time and continuous proofreading, and real life comes first whether we like it or not, and eventually caught up and bit a good chunk off of my arse.
Also FF servers like to crash during editing while I was about to save. Like a lot.
I even got covid a few months back. It sucked.
So, this is goodbye.
I am unfortunately halting my journey in FF, even when this fic had gained quite some recognition.
I want to take this time to thank you guys, because without the support it'd probably be half of what it is today.
HOWEVER! If you still want to catch and support me, I DO have a youtube channel now, where I make gaming with friends and gaming-related content, in which I recently did a short film with Evans, so this is your chance to support me by subscribing and watching the content I do on (Hopefully) A weekly basis without fail.
Just search up Reconman26 on Youtube, with the channel being R26. Can't do the Pa treon trick anymore for copy pasting the link cuz FF hates links more than ever.
Now that that's out of the way, even though I am quitting this fic for good and about to close it, I feel that it's a bit unfair for you guys that I'd been leaving you hanging for so long without any closure.
SO, here's the point form version of what's going to happen continuing from last chapter.
Enjoy!
Louis, Adam and the trapped faunuses fight their way out of the Grimm horde with Louis' demon within but were fatally injured.
Ruby and the others arrive, seeing the tortured faunuses, prioritized them as Louis and Adam skitter away.
Louis and Adam encounter Stromboli, who escaped earlier, alone in a different gladiator cage somewhere within the compound, with his weapon being a bear trap at the end of an anchored chain with a canon attached to where the pedal is supposed to be.
Fighting the towering man together (And winning), Louis earned Adam's respect, but Adam still wants a duel to settle things, this was when Sienna Khan and the WF arrives.
Blake arrives and approaches Adam to stop him, but Yang stops her to point at both Louis and Adam smiling.
Louis and Adam nearly gut each other, laughing as they pass out from extreme blood loss, but before Adam blacks out, he says "Fine, I'll do it your way for once."
Going out of the gladiator jail they encountered Mistral faunus haters, who got more angry at the sight of the WF, and Blake gets pelleted by vases and ceramics.
Louis' arm grabs one and shatters it, challenging anybody who dares before passing out again.
Blake and Sienna reach an understanding for faunus equality, Blake promises to get Ironwood to help.
Wake up otw to Atlas, where General Ironwood spits at both the idea of Adam joining the "Good guys", and the fact that Louis isn't really dead.
Ironwood then says that if Louis and Adam wanted to have their names cleared and their licenses for Hunters (For ease of travel), then they would have to pass a test.
Thinking that revived Louis is Salem's pawn, sends both Adam and Louis on a few hard-to-accomplish missions with a bunch of newbie soldiers.
Missions include having to help the lower part of Atlas, which the JNPR and RWBY met and helped with rebuilding from Grimm attacks. there they met their families, and worked as a team for the first time. Eventually, they bonded.
A few weeks later, only Adam, Louis, and the squad were allowed out on a suicide mission with the Geist Golem in a volatile Dust cave meant for the Ace Ops.
Within the Dust cave the Golem wreaked havoc on the whole squad, exploding the whole cave which Ironwood said to protect, until only three out of ten plus Louis and Adam survived.
Coming back, Ironwood welcomes both Adam and Louis with Hunter licenses.
Louis threw a bag of dog tags down on Ironwood's feet upon completing the mission, asking if he remembers their names, and reciting the full names of each 7 members afterward.
Ironwood says Louis forgot his license. Louis says he could keep it.
Strolling around Atlas, Louis saw a poster for a brainwashed Weiss who's gonna have a concert soon, and cobbles up a plan to save her which included hijacking her whole song and lyrics, and placing everyone in the crowd holding glowsticks and wearing headbands.
The Pied Piper (Von Eizbern), unaccepting of his plan to use Weiss' concert as a way to sway politics and for Jaques to allow Weiss to be his newlywed, brainwashes nearly everyone except Louis who struggled, who then traumatizes and threatens him before letting Atlas guards take him away.
Pietro revives Penny from her core and did an Aura scan on Louis. The wavelengths went in the negatives, which is an anomaly, but explained why Louis could heal on the inside after getting hurt instead of a forcefield that protects someone before getting hurt.
It also explained why Louis was resistant to Piper's control.
Ironwood takes notice of this and summons them all plus Weiss back.
He congratulates Weiss for being freed, but condemns Louis as it shakes politics.
Louis gets jailed yet again, this time in a proper Atlas prison.
Salem attacks upper Atlas, the group finds this as an opportunity to break Louis out, and encountered Ironwood alone in a large open room.
He monologues about the greater good, and Dwiki challenges with "You and what army?" Robots appear from every nook and cranny, with Louis replying "You just had to ask."
Ironwood rides upon the same mecha that was protecting Argus, with a mutilated Cordovin with cables and wires sticking out of her small body as veins being the core for its operations, a Broodmother.
Salem's forces struck the lower parts of Atlas, so Adam and Louis said to leave the rest to them while the rest of the team goes to the bottom.
Louis and Adam fight until Marrow comes in and snaps his fingers, but instead, Ironwood finds himself paralyzed, not for long though.
He tears his shirt off to reveal that the Relic of Creation was inside his chest all along, creating a Nanomachine armor that replaced his flesh, leaving only his head organic, which is why the tin man had no heart for the fallen soldiers.
Adam and Ironwood fight like Raiden vs Armstrong.
This was thought out waaay before the resurgence of MGR memes and Vtuber gameplays, so no, it's not a recent trendy thing that I just cobbled up last min to put in this final chapter.
On his dying breath, Upper Atlas shakes, and Ironwood laughs maniacally saying that without creation Atlas has no anti gravity. By tearing Creation from his chest Louis and Adam has doomed them all.
Louis climbed into the Mecha and tore Cordovin out, requesting manual override with an exoskeleton that could paralyze him neck down.
He drills all the way to the bottom and carries the upper Atlas like well... Atlas the titan.
Jaune boost's Weiss' Knight to grow as big as the Mecha, Penny also helped with thrusters, and Robyn, families of the soldiers, and everybody else helped by throwing harpoons onto the mass to help carry it outside of Lower Atlas' walls.
When all is done, Ace Ops minus Marrow got corrupted by Merlot on their own will as Ironwood was no longer there to lead them, and the group goes to Vacuo.
In the middle, they tried to summon Ambrosius but Ambrosius quickly shrinks back into the staff, refusing to get out. Jinn, who was summoned simultaneously, amusedly called Louis her "Brother".
They fought against a Grimmified Ace Ops who was attacking Carmine.
When they're retrieving the Relic of Destruction, it looked empty and unradiant, unlike Knowledge and Creation which was brimming with power, and Evans thought it was a dud.
Salem waited outside, revealing she had the Relic of Choice in her hands. Ruby was taken hostage, and they figured out Evans was not on their side.
They fought, shit happened, and losses of not-so-important side characters (Like Jack and Jill) occurred.
In the Grimmlands Ruby discovered that Merlot had tempered with a now Grimmified Summer's eyes, which turns people into Grimm, which was how he turned the Ace Ops and himself into Grimm.
Though he did reveal that the Ace Ops did it at their own free will.
The remaining group then attempted a rescue mission, but was quickly dispatched by a mysterious new being. Grimm in nature, but instead of red it had blue stripes and was humanoid, and wields a sleek weapon, a katana.
With Louis in a coma, the group agrees that they cannot just sit around and do nothing, and fought this mysterious figure a second time, only for Yang to have both arms lobbed off.
Defeated, back in the XiaoLong-Rose household, the group just waits.
Louis appears behind a bathing Yang having trouble applying her shampoo one day, and Yang sobs into Louis' arms, uncaring if she was in the nude.
Louis went down to Weiss and borrows her weapon. Blake took turns after the 2nd encounter to be in a coma.
After getting permission to borrow Ember Celica, Yang tried to seduce Louis, not out of love, but out of fear that she'll lose another close to her.
Louis gets out of her leg grasp, saying that she was not the Yang he knows. The Yang he knows would never give up on Ruby.
Louis also calls Pyrrha an idiot for both fighting the impossible foe, and for not telling Jaune that she was pregnant during the fight, before setting out.
A full year passes, and Louis trained himself on all member's weapons except Cresent Rose, and went from town to town that was infested with Grimm.
When Yang got her replacement arms, courtesy of Adam being Ironwood's replacement in Atlas, and the group finally found the courage, they set out once more to fight the small fights.
Taiyang gets to babysit Pyrrha and Jaune's child.
Everywhere they went, they hear stories of the lone wolf, a Legendary Lupus that always comes where Grimm resides.
Eventually, they found Louis in a maximum prison in Atlas, but his darkness was controlling him permanently.
Adam agrees to let Louis out, even when Marrow calls him crazy.
Louis' demon said that this body was permanently his, and encounters the blue Grimm that had been standing in the exact same spot for the whole year, waiting for a worthy opponent.
As the face armour chips away, it became clear that the blue Grimm is a Grimmified Evans.
They fought 1v1 with Evans on the losing side, before grabbing Evans and dispelling him of the Grimm's control.
They both travel to the Grimmlands where an almost Grimmified Ruby (Because of her silver eyes she can resist more, even Merlot took a while to corrupt Summer's eyes, being the only existing reverse engineered Silver eyed warrior) attacks them with a Grimmified Qrow.
Evans handles Qrow but Louis had trouble with Ruby since she was trained not to rely on just her silver eyes anymore, being a fully capable warrior.
Louis gets impaled with a Grimm-infested Cresent Rose, and fell into a puddle of darkness.
The Relic of Destruction (Which Salem tosses into the pool after deeming it inactive) Glowed as it touched Louis's body.
Louis was at the back of his mind all along, watching this whole thing unfold. The demon then revealed that it was finally time for it to be whole again.
A pillar of light pierces the Grimmlands as a fully armored and unscathed Louis wrecks havoc amongst Grimm with ease.
Turns out the very reason Jinn (Knowledge) said to Ozpin that Salem is impossible to defeat was that Destruction was never whole in the first place. Earth was one of the worlds the Light and Darkness created, with Louis being the vessel that was holding the entity within Destruction.
With the Relics finally whole, gathered in one place, and complete, the Gods arrive, only for Salem to reveal that it was her plan all along.
With old magic, she merges with both Light and Darkness with herself to arise to godhood.
Louis then revealed that the Relic of Destruction is the most powerful Relic because it destroys the other Relics' rules.
God Salem then laughs asking what good that'll do, that everyone present would just perish like those that came before. She then asks Louis what he would even say to them, seeing as to how it was inevitable that he would fail.
Louis replies "Just one thing really. Rise."
Louis proceeds to summon those who died fighting in the Grimmlands by forgoing Ambrosius' rules after corrupting the Relic of Creation.
Summer's Grimm control breaks with Louis' help, and she fights alongside Ruby in a mother-and-daughter bonding session.
Creating weapons for everyone present and armor that was harder than steel, the group fights God Salem and eventually won by using Destruction to both split Salem from the Brother Gods, and destroy Salem's immortality.
The Gods thanks the group, asking what they wanted.
The bois said they just wanted to get home.
A portal opens, Summer & Evans goes back to normal, and everybody gets into a one-way ticket back to earth except Louis, who looks at Blake.
The Gods say that Louis never belonged in Remnant and he must get in to restore balance.
Louis refused, but before he could fight the Gods, Blake pushed him through with a tearful goodbye.
The end.
So that's pretty much the story flow I had in mind, once again I apologize to kept you all waiting for so long, but when going back and forth on whether I'm gonna continue this or not I prefer to want to write this rather than be forced to write this.
Also I know how much it absolutely sucks having a writer/author/manga artist go on infinite hiatus, so I hope this covers it.
Thank you so much for your support, and I'll be looking forward to seeing some of you guys on my Youtube at R26/ Reconman26!
Wish you all the best! Cheers!
