Welcome back to The Injustice Wars. Last time, The Legion started fighting off Brainiac's forces, and quickly found themselves overwhelmed, even after The Insurgency got involved. Thankfully, Supergirl had a plan, though it required Green Arrow to pull off, and Flash needed some convincing, but they got it working, sending Green Arrow back to his world to recruit help from there. And it succeeded, but we don't know who they recruited yet. So who were those mysterious silhouettes? Read on to discover...

(Our story resumes in Legion HQ, where Blaze, Supergirl and Flash are planning out their next strike, with the aid of these new, still silhouetted figures, now revealing there are six of them.)

Blaze: Sorry to pull all of you over at the last minute. I'm sure Ollie explained what's going on. Needless to say, we need your help.

?: Just tell us where we're needed and we'll take it from here.

Blaze: (With a nod) Alright then. The Legion and Insurgency are swamped in five major locations. Metropolis, Central City, Star City, Gotham, and Coast City. We'll need you to split up and take one of those locations each. Well, two of you will have to share a location, but that should work. (Looks to one of the figures) I'm going to need you to come with me back to Metropolis, there's an old friend who I think could benefit from seeing you again.

(The figure Blaze is addressing doesn't respond, but she takes the silence as accepting the mission)

Blaze: Alright then, I'll brief you on the way. You've got your missions, now let's move out.

(With that, the group dashes from Legion HQ and we focus in on Harley Quinn, Spyro, and Cynder, still fighting in Metropolis as Brainiac's robots start to overwhelm them, the stress not being helped by Captain Cold having gotten back up and started firing on them.)

Spyro: If this is where we die, it's been an honor fighting alongside you, my love.

Cynder: We're not going to die here, Spyro.

(And as if on cue, that's when Blaze swoops back in and releases a stream of flame at Captain Cold, followed shortly by Supergirl.)

Spyro: So what's this plan Kara had?

Cynder: And where's Barry?

Blaze: Let's just say we've got a bit of help coming.

Supergirl: And Barry's helping them get to the mission sites.

(And with that, a stream of fire erupts from behind Blaze, but notably not from her, as a figure carrying what looks like a modified flamethrower walks into the scene, catching Captain Cold off guard)

Captain Cold: It can't be.

Blaze: (Looking to the befuddled supervillain) I had a feeling you'd be glad to see this guy again.

Captain Cold: Mick?

(And that's when we see the figure in full view. And Captain Cold is right, it is in fact Heatwave.)

Spyro: You managed to get Heatwave?!

Cynder: But... how?! He's dead!

Blaze: The same way Green Arrow's back. And he's not alone.

(And just like that, we're treated to views from all the sites Blaze mentioned at the start. Starting in Coast City, where Green Lantern, Vixen and Deathstroke are paid a visit by John Stewart, then to Central City, where Blue Beetle, Firestorm, Black Lightning, and Zatanna are blown away, almost literally, by Red Tornado, next to Gotham where Batman, Batgirl, and Red Hood are saved by Martian Manhunter, and lastly to Star City, where Black Canary, the Atom, Mr. Freeze, and Black Manta are shown a speed display by Jay Garrick, and with him, Magpie, bombarding the robot army with jewel shaped explosives. As the last of these displays happen, we transition back to Metropolis, where the battle continues, notably with Captain Cold trying to get close to Heatwave)

Captain Cold: I can't believe this. Mick, is that really you?

(At this point, Heatwave finally sees Captain Cold and immediately sucker punches him across the face)

Heatwave: Yeah, it's really me.

Captain Cold: (Getting back up from the sock to the jaw) What was that for?

Heatwave: Blaze told me everything that you've done on the way here. I can't believe you abandoned the Rogue's code!

Captain Cold: If you've been through what I did, you wouldn't be so judgmental!

Heatwave: You think I haven't? The world I came from is very much like this one, only you died instead of me.

Captain Cold: What?

Heatwave: You heard me. You were the one who died in this world, not me. But even then, you didn't give up the Rogue's code.

(Hearing this story of his alternate self, something suddenly comes over Captain Cold, as if he realizes exactly what has just happened in the past few years)

Captain Cold: What have I done?

Heatwave: Made a pretty bad mistake. But now's your chance to make up for it.

(Realizing he's got a chance now, Captain Cold takes it, and starts firing his Cold Gun against Brainiac's robots. With the aid of Captain Cold, the tide of battle turns against Brainiac and the Society, and the robot army dwindles a bit, at least to a manageable level, before they seemingly get a summons to retreat, doing the same all over the world)

Blaze: Looks like our little plan worked. I have a feeling the others will be looking for an explanation.

Captain Cold: You know what? Count me with you. If you'll have me.

Blaze: (Taking his hand and shaking it) Welcome to the Legion, Lenny. Something tells me Flash will be surprised to see you.

(And as the group heads back to Legion Headquarters, our tale ends for today)

And that looks like a good spot to end for today. So now we meet the identities of those silhouettes, and it's all people who are dead in the main Injustice continuity, or in the case of Red Tornado can't be confirmed to exist in it. Considering we have the alternate universe this Green Arrow came from, I figured we might as well use that world for bringing in some members of the Legion that Yami had planned out. So, what's the reaction from the Legion, and presumably the Insurgency, going to be? Tune in next time to find out! Same time... same channel!
