Welcome back to The Injustice Wars. Last time, Brainiac's forces were overwhelming the Legion and Insurgency, but not before Blaze and some of her allies brought over a group of six heroes from Green Arrow's earth, namely Martian Manhunter, John Stewart, Jay Garrick, Red Tornado, Magpie, and Heatwave, the last of whom was able to convince Captain Cold to leave the Society and join the Legion. I will say it, today won't be the typical chapter, you'll see what I mean in a minute. So let's get on with it.

(Our story resumes in Legion headquarters, where the Legion and Insurgency are meeting up, especially with the newest members. Specifically, we focus in on Blaze and Batman)

Batman: As much as I appreciate the aid, we had things handled.

Martian Manhunter: The sheer number of robots overwhelming you tells me otherwise, Bruce.

Blaze: As it did all of us.

Batman: (Sighs) Fair enough.

Blaze: Look Bruce, I know we disagree with each other's methods, but it's clear from all of this we need each other.

Batman: I still can't be sure that you'll act objectively as far as Darkblood is involved.

Blaze: Then that's where you'll come in. If you think we're unable to handle it, the Insurgency can step in. Do we have a deal?

Batman: I'm still not sure I like it, but for now, yes. (Looking around the room) I still can't believe you managed to revive them.

Blaze: You think we revived them? As far as I know, that's not possible.

Batman: Then how did you do it?

Blaze: We had a little help.

(Now Blaze steps aside to reveal the dimensional portal device is active, with Flash supervising it)

Flash: Wonder what's keeping Ollie.

(And just as Flash ponders this, Green Arrow leaps back through the portal.)

Green Arrow: Hope these six will be enough, that's everyone I was able to convince to come over.

Blaze: (To Green Arrow) Since we managed to break someone off from the Society, I think we can call this plan a win.

Green Arrow: (Looking around at the familiar faces) I guess we can indeed. (To Flash) You go socialize with the new guys. I'll see if I can't get this turned off. There's one person specifically you'll really want to see.

Flash: You sure? (Sees Jay Garrick) Thanks, Ollie.

(With that, Flash and Green Arrow swap places, and Flash walks up to Jay Garrick)

Flash: I... I honestly can't believe it's you.

Jay Garrick: From what little I've heard about this world from Ollie, it sounds like this is a place that could use some old fashioned justice.

Flash: Trust me, losing you in this world is probably part of what caused this.

Jay Garrick: Well then, I'm happy to try and get this world back on track.

John Stewart: You're not alone, Jay.

Green Lantern: I'm still trying to figure out how your ring is working in this world/

John Stewart: So long as I have a Power Battery, I'll be fine. Probably.

Green Lantern: Then here's hoping we don't need to go to Oa.

John Stewart: I've heard about the Corps being hunted to near extinction. And your part in it, Hal.

Jay Garrick: And trust me, Barry, I've heard about your involvement with this Regime.

Flash: I know there's a lot of making up to do.

Jay Garrick: The race for redemption is a hard run, but I'm certain you'll be able to finish it.

Flash: I've seriously missed your optimism, Jay.

(As the two Flashes are reuniting, we see quickly that Green Arrow is having some problems with the machine)

Green Arrow: Barry, a little help! This thing isn't shutting off!

(Sensing the urgency, Flash rushes back over and tries to help his comrade shut off the machine, but it seems he only makes it worse, as evidenced by the alarms going off on the thing.)

Blaze: Please tell me that's not what I think it is!

Flash: That depends on what you think it is.

Blaze: It better not be indicating something bad is about to happen.

Green Arrow: Sad to say, that's exactly what it means.

Blaze: HIT THE DECK!

(With the warning issued, everybody does indeed hit the deck, just as the machine seemingly explodes, arcing energy in 12 different directions, letting in a cacophany of voices, nothing of which is understood, but also allows for several orbs to exit through the portal before it shuts for good with the machine emanating black smoke)

Blaze: (Getting up and looking) Is it done?

Flash: (Seeing the smoking pile that used to be a machine) Looks like it.

Blaze: Follow up question: what just happened?

(As Blaze ponders what just happened, we transition to a random field somewhere, where a man in a red suit is trying to hide. This is Plastic Man, one of the neutral heroes in the Injustice world, one not involved in any faction. But it's not him we're focusing in on, but rather, it's the ball of light that crashes down in front of him, revealing three figures as it does: one feline, one humanoid with strange protrusions on his forehead, and the third appearing a mixture between humanoid and canine who shifts into a more traditional human form as soon as the smoke clears)

Plastic Man: What the heck just happened? Where did you guys come from?

?: (To Plastic Man) Tell me, where are we?

(And now the smoke clears, revealing the three figures in clarity, but only one is immediately recognizable, as it's literally Hellboy, accompanied by a humanoid cat creature and the now speaking figure.)

Plastic Man: I think you're in New Jersey somewhere. Now answer me this: who are you?

Belial Aether: You can call me Belial.

(And on this reveal, our tale ends for today)

And that wraps up today's update. And now we have the last of the key figures introduced. This is where Belial Aether gets involved with the story. One of the most anticipated characters from the rest of the Nullverse enters the fray at this moment. And with him should be another familiar figure, but more on the cat person later. You probably already recognize them if you've read my other stuff. So, now that Belial's here, how do things progress? Tune in next time to find out! Same time... same channel!
