Welcome back to The Injustice Wars! Last time, just as the Republic gathered some of their members, a divine wind started blowing through the mountains, which Belial Aether and Vandal Savage investigate, learning it was generated by a young man known as Flint Tengu, who Belial takes on as a student upon learning he wants to be a hero, taking up the name Aero as he joins the Republic. But now, I'd say it's about time we rejoin the Legion. So, what are they up to? Read on to discover...

(Our story resumes in Legion HQ, where Blaze is shown writing in her journal, while Flash and Supergirl appear to be discussing recent events with some of the other members of the Legion. The entry reads in this fashion:)

"It's been nearly eight months since we put Black Manta undercover in the Empire, and so far, he hasn't reported back since his first transmission. I'm starting to get worried. Darkblood is definitely not Drago, but still, something tells me he possesses the same analytical mind that made him the perfect leader for the Element Guard. It's possible Manta's been found out, and thus that he's been executed. But if he has been, why hasn't Darkblood shown us our mole is dead? Unless he's waging some kind of psychological warfare. I just don't have enough data."

(But as Blaze writes those words, an orange light suddenly extends over the scene, as Firestorm descends into the conference room)

Blaze: (A bit confused) Firestorm? What're you doing here?

Firestorm: Batman's analyzed some data packets sent out from the Skull Ship, and thinks he's got something you're going to want to see.

Blaze: And he couldn't come here because...?

Firestorm: Luthor-Wayne Industries investors meeting. Even with his cover blown, he's still got Bruce Wayne business to attend to.

Blaze: Guess Bruce may've finally started taking Lucius' advice.

Firestorm: (Seeing the monitor) How's the undercover guy going?

Blaze: Manta hasn't reported back in nearly eight months.

Firestorm: You think he's gone fully dark?

Blaze: I've considered it, but I don't think he has. He might just be on some long term assignment for Darkblood.

Firestorm: That's certainly possible.

Blaze: Well, thanks for the intel. We'll look into it. Give Bruce our regards

Firestorm: Will do.

(And with that, Firestorm flies off, leaving Blaze with the data on a USB drive.)

Blaze: Alright Bruce, let's see what you've managed to catch.

(With that, Blaze plugs the USB drive into a port on the main computer, revealing several pieces of encrypted data)

Blaze: Because of course he doesn't bother to decrypt the data.

(As Blaze's frustration mounts, Blitz spots the situation, and walks over)

Blitz: Mind if I try my hand at this?

Blaze: If you can make this legible, go right ahead.

(With that, Blitz cracks her knuckles and starts to work. Despite not having computers in her native world, Blitz proves a quick hand, having the data decrypted in under 5 minutes)

Blitz: That should do it.

Blaze: It never ceases to amaze me how good you are at this.

(As Blitz finishes her work, Flash and Supergirl step up to the monitor to see what's new)

Flash: So what's this?

Blaze: Data from Bruce. Supposedly intercepted from the Skull Ship itself.

Supergirl: This may have come from the Skull Ship, but Brainiac didn't send it, that's for certain

Blaze: So who else is up there?

Flash: Grodd would be my best guess.

Blaze: So Gaul 2.0 is sending out data, but what for?

Blitz: It says something about Slaughter Swamp, and it looks like Scarecrow's involved.

Flash: There's only one thing that could mean.

Blaze: Brainiac needs Fear Gas.

Supergirl: Looks like that shipment is due out tonight.

Blaze: We'll need to dispatch a team. Contact Batman and have him send over an operative or two.

Blitz: I'd recommend Ollie for this.

Blaze: They'll be having me along as well. And I'm bringing Leroy and Sizzle.

Supergirl: (Slightly confused) Why them?

Blaze: One, they haven't done much since we got here. And two, their unique abilities make them perfectly suited for this. Leroy's Fear elemental, so he should have resistance to the psychological aspects of Fear Gas. And Sizzle, being Poison elemental, should be immune to the chemical concerns.

Flash: Them I get, but why are you tagging along?

Blaze: I've been sitting around for a little too long for my tastes. Besides, getting some action may help me think this whole Darkblood thing through.

Supergirl: Alright then, I'll go let Ollie know.

Blitz: I'll get that call out to Batman, then tell Leroy and Sizzle.

(As Blitz and Supergirl leave, Flash looks to Blaze and sees something in her eyes.)

Flash: You're more worried about Darkblood than you let on.

Blaze: Can you blame me? It's Drago's eyes, staring me down, but in a body that's trying to kill us. I don't know how much of him is in there, if any.

Flash: What, do you think he can be restored?

Blaze: I don't know. I hope so, but I really don't know.

Flash: You know we're all here for you either way, right?

Blaze: Thanks Barry. (Thinks about it) I've got to get moving. Something tells me Bruce's agent will be here any minute now.

(And with understanding between them known, Blaze and Flash part, letting Blaze head off on the mission as our scene ends for today)

And that looks like a good spot to wrap up for today. Just a nice simple chapter to tell us how the Legion is doing at this point in time. So, what awaits in Slaughter Swamp? Tune in next time to find out! Same time... same channel!
