Abby and Klaus's POV

Standing at the top of a hotel building, Abby and Klaus looked down to the street. There was no sign of him yet. "When we find him, I'm gonna kill him personally. And then I might kill you, I told you I didn't want to leave Bonnie," Abby said with a huff.

Klaus only smirked. "Abigail, love you realize Kol is back in Mystic Falls with his fae recruit by now. I have taken this trip as an opportunity to quell my urges to kill civilians, dagger Kol once again, and finding a neutral witch to incite the crescent curse on Hayley once more,"

Abby glared at him. "You haven't stopped yourself from killing anyone yet,"

"I suppose two out of three isn't so bad," he said thoughtfully. "Kol overstepped his boundaries in claiming the life of our mother and using Hope in his methods. No doubt I remain cross with him. Why, if it wasn't for the siphon trouble, it'd be three more years without his beloved,"

Abby just rolled her eyes. She knew Klaus was likely bluffing because if he used Bonnie to punish Kol, he'd find himself without Abby. And since leaving New Orleans, she'd spent most of her time with Klaus, the guilt was great. Not to mention Abby had intended to stay in Mystic Falls with Bonnie and help her through her ordeal with the Gemini leader, yet she was on the road with Klaus, once again.

It had been about two weeks since the collective traitors used Hope to help take out Esther. Thanks to a spell Davina had Hope aid her with, imbuing Hayley and Kol with the ability to wield magic so Kol could perform the spell to extract Esther's life. Enraged that he wasn't informed on it and they got Abby to conspire against him by way of her tempting seduction, he decided Kol was for the coffin life once again and Hayley would spend her days as a wolf until she'd learned a lesson in crossing him. Only, they'd had to detour to Mystic Falls, where Bonnie was being continually preyed upon. Klaus decided Kol was free for now, at the pleading of their long-lost sister, and until this was all under control, after Klaus stepped in on Kol's rightful kill of course.

Malachai Parker, the leader of the Gemini Coven was seriously unhinged and had this disgusting fixation with Bonnie. It was sort of like a heretic, only he wasn't a vampire, just a witch imbued with way too much power for his own good. His attacks, his kills had begun to make national headlines across the states over the past two weeks. For some reason, he was avoiding Mystic Falls, but Klaus picked up on his trail. The siphon was attempting to recruit various rogue, stand-alone witches for his coven. A smart move, perhaps, though he'd still have a coven if he hadn't slaughtered his original one.

Klaus's witches from down below entered the hotel. A moment later, seemingly out of nowhere, the siphon appeared.

Klaus smiled. "There's our target, taking the bait,"

Abby's vampire eyes broke through at the sight of her smug enemy. "Can we get this over with? We should really get back to our daughters,"

"Patience, ma chérie. A good kill takes time, and he'll no doubt resurrect. We need to make sure everything is in order. Aren't you glad you came with?" he asked as he brushed her curls away from her face. Abby couldn't help but grin at her love. He flashed her a smile as they both bared their fangs.

Wearing a stone face, the siphon waltzed into the hotel after the witches, as if he had not a care in the world.

"That's our cue darling," Klaus said before grabbing Abby's hand and leaping to the ground with a catlike descent.

Mystic Falls

Present-day

Bonnie's POV

"I should've told him, he's a vampire. He's entitled to know how vampires govern themselves," Bonnie sighed. She absolutely hated disappointing Damon, he had a way of taking things hard and personally.

"He'll get over it. Most ancient vampires are the ones who know of and attend the summits, after two centuries of walking the earth as the undead. The doppelgänger would've been in attendance a decade ago if she wasn't fleeing from Nik. It's likely she would have informed them, being that she indulges in that which is forbidden for her own personal gain."

"Well, how am I even going to go to California? Shouldn't you and Toni just go? I can't leave the town borders, remember?"

"I will find a way, my darling," Kol said into her hair while he snaked his hands up to squeeze her breasts.

He slid his hands down her sides and gripped her ass. "Ooh," Bonnie giggled before she pressed her lips to her vampire's. The two weeks without him had been harder on her than she'd let on. Only one night with him after being separated for three years, then he had to go recruit Toni. And now to find out there was even more at stake, with the siphon predator getting out of control. If things didn't work out, Bonnie risked losing everything that was important to her. Her magic, her friends, Abby, and most of all Kol. Her whole heart. She would not, she could not lose him again.

Kol returned her kiss with an eager amount of force, unzipping her top. He removed his jacket before he lifted Bonnie and placed her on the table behind her. She could feel his arousal in more than one way, growing by the second. She wanted him as he wanted her but Bonnie didn't feel this was the right time or place. Still, she had missed him so much, she was letting him get carried away with the touching. He slipped his hands between her legs, feeling the heat and moisture he incited.

"Mm. Kol," she sighed. "Not now, we can't start this here,"

"We already have, besides, we're cloaked in here," he continued rubbing her before he guided her hand to his tented trousers. "Do you feel that?"

Bonnie gasped as she did indeed feel how rock-hard he was. She couldn't take it anymore, she needed to handle this now. Only her phone went off. It was an emergency alert.

Kol growled at the interruption and grabbed the device, probably wanting to throw it out of the window. "It's from Elena, she says Caroline is in labor," he frowned. "Wait, I thought Elena had the vampire pregnancy?"

"Oh my gosh, we need to go!"

Stefan's POV

"Awww he's back, Bonnie, I'm so happy for you," Caroline crooned when Bonnie walked in, hand and hand with Kol. Then she appeared to notice another scent as Toni followed them. Likely due to the pregnancy hormones, which heightened her already sensitive vampire senses, Caroline's eyes turned black and the veins began rolling across her cheeks. Stefan gripped her hand tightly. "Who's she?" She asked Stefan, unable to take her eyes off Toni. "I want her,"

Toni raised her brows.

"Caroline, sweetie Toni's a friend, you can't have her," Stefan said softly. Angered by this, she death gripped his hand, breaking his bones. Stefan groaned.

"Caroline," Kol sped to her side and caught Care's eyes in compulsion. "You don't want Toni. In fact, you can hardly detect her scent, it's hardly alluring. Toni is just another friend and ally to our cause in keeping Bonnie safe from the siphon," he said gently before he released her from his influence. Caroline released her grip on Stefan's hand. He winced as it healed.

Kol was fucking dick. He compelled Stefan and Damon to not feed on Toni despite how much her scent tortured them, yet for Caroline, he'd given her specific directions, taking the torment of the allure away from her. Of course, it was what she needed, only that would've helped Stefan so much as well. The Ripper in him was raging internally and he felt bad because every time he looked at Toni, he was torn between wanting to possess her and tear her apart. The only other thing occupying his mind over Toni's allure was the blatant risk Caroline delivering the twins posed. It helped quell his urge for Toni's blood.

Bonnie suggested Damon and Toni go back to the boarding houses and get comfortable with the area since the laboring process was going to take a while. It was a welcome suggestion, Stefan wouldn't have to work so hard to focus his mind so much.

Caroline laughed hysterically once Damon and Toni left. She could tell Bonnie was getting hot for Kol just the same as Stefan could. He decided even though he was a dick, Bonnie deserved the alone time with her man they were undoubtedly going to engage in. Toni would be fine since Damon was compelled to not feed on her.

Bonnie and Kol's POV

Since they could anticipate at least a few hours' wait, Bonnie closed the door and spread some fae dust across the threshold to the empty hospital room as she did to the hospital entrance. No Kai or rogue heretic witches could enter and certainly not disturb Caroline's procedure.

"Exactly did Elena's pregnancy become Caroline's?" Kol asked as he took a seat. Bonnie leaned against the doorway, giving him a long, heated look. He could not focus when she looked at him like she wanted to conceive his babies that instant. A soft pang of regret fluttered in his heart as he realized that children were one thing they could never have. He knew she would make a most fit mother, and she absolutely adored the little miracle that was Hope, but Kol had long since reconciled that life was not for him, only unaware of Bonnie's stance.

"I'll explain later," she said softly as she slithered up to him.

"You don't want to talk? Indulge me on how your week has been without me?" He teased with a knowing grin.

"Not right now," she shook her head with a bashful blush and smile.

Kol loved it when she expressed her desire for him in her innocent, demure fashion. However, he also loved getting her to vocalize what she wanted, loved hearing that she ached for him.

"And what would you prefer to do instead?" he lowered his voice as she approached him.

"You know…" she trailed off, pushing him to lie down on the bed. She climbed on top of him and kissed him, aggressively and passionately. Kol's hand slid down her sides and traveled under and up her dress, caressing her ass. He moaned when he realized she wasn't wearing any underwear.

"Bonnie," he sighed, feeling down her center. She was in puddles for him, she couldn't help it. She missed him and just being near him excited her and now that she could have him any way she wanted, her desire leaked out of her pores. "Even with hospital staff lurking outside of the door?" he slipped two fingers inside of her, thumbing her clit. "Is that alright?"

Bonnie nodded, unable to speak due to the fact that she was melting in Kol's hands.

"What was that darling, I can't hear you," he continued stimulating her from the inside.

"Yessss!" she called out, breathlessly.

"Well, then. If you insist,"

In an instant, Bonnie was on her back with her legs spread wide open and Kol's free hand was lifting both her hands above her head. And then he was pushing through her walls, kissing her to muffle her uncontrollable moans.

His touch was tender, his voice soothing, with an affectionate gaze as he coached her through various positions and orgasms. The only thing better than unraveling Bonnie was falling apart in unison with her. This was the thought in his head as he came from behind while she trembled underneath him.

At the conclusion of their sex, Kol leaned forward, gently resting part of his weight on Bonnie. "God, I needed that," he said against the glistening skin of her shoulder. Both bodies were gleaming, they had worked up quite the sweat.

"Me too. If you don't give it to me like that every time, we're gonna have problems," she said, trying to catch her breath. "I think I've got a favorite position,"

Kol groaned, and slipped his hands underneath her, fondling her breasts with both hands. "I honestly can't get enough of you. I want you again,"

Bonnie laughed and turned her head. "What's yours? Your favorite?"

"It involves you doing the splits. Would you like a demonstration?" Kol's answer sent a thrill down to her nether region.

Vampire senses made Kol privy to Stefan and Caroline's thoughts on the audio show they'd witnessed. He laughed. "Your friends are proud of you,"

"Oh my God," she wiggled out from under him and settled next to him, covering her face and leaning against his chest.

"Don't be shy, my love," Kol pulled Bonnie up to his eye level. "I like to think we helped, our miniature companions have arrived,"

"Oh yeah, the act of making babies while they have some!" She giggled. Then, as Kol initially feared, a somber look came over her. He knew what she was thinking.

Bonnie knew being with a vampire, having kids was absolutely out of the question. Not only was it not possible, it was also dangerous, given the life they lived. Too many life or death situations happened too frequently for conditions to be safe for a child, with the humanity-less vampires, Rippers, the bloodlust. Not to mention the witches that hated vampires, though they'd never harm children, getting in the crossfire was still a risk.

She'd never given it much thought in the past, she only wanted Kol. But seeing how happy Elena was when she found out she was pregnant and how crushed she was when she found out Ric's twins were magically transported to her womb, made her wonder what it would be like. Elena was already planning the life out she'd imagined for her and what she thought was her son. Since Ric was like a father to her, she couldn't do it, she couldn't carry the children of the one who'd help raise her in more ways than one the past few years. That would put her in the mom role and Ric the father, it didn't sit well with her. She agreed to act as only surrogate but it was evident she was crushed and her heart was no longer in it. Caroline volunteered to step in as surrogate, only she wanted to be involved as well, even agreeing to leave town with Stefan to somewhere that was not a beacon for supernatural trouble. They'd be one big, mingled family.

"But that's not something that's usually possible for any of us. Caroline is very fortunate for the opportunity to have a normal, simple life. I know she'll do right by them, they all will,"

She looked at Kol, not wanting to spoil the moment, though deep down she was crushed she could never bear his child. "Just to be with you now after the hell of the past few years is the only blessing I could even hope for," she caressed his face.

Unbeknownst to her, Kol shared the same sentiments; while having a child would mean a product of their love, it would mean creating a life vulnerable to their enemies. The danger was too great. The only thing that would destroy him more than anyone harming Bonnie was anyone attempting to harm the life their love would create. He would not stand for it, never even allow for the chance to happen. Hope was already furiously protected and that was enough vulnerability for the Mikaelson's and Bennett's who were attached to her as well. Of course, he could tell Bonnie nothing of the sort. He knew all too well that giving her any idea that he'd have any hope for that, she'd take that idea and run with it.

Ha planted a kiss on her head. "If that were meant to be, I'm sure we would have met in a situation where it was actually possible. Certainly not one where fetuses are magically transported twice for shelter in a vampire womb, accelerating the pregnancy," he chuckled.

"Are you saying that's something you would want?" She asked, eyeing him with emerald curiosity.

"Hardly. I haven't the patience for it,"

Sighing softly, Bonnie pressed a kiss to his lips. "We should get dressed,"

"I consider it a crime that your beautiful body must be covered by these dreadful garments," he groaned.

"If I was naked all the time, everyone would see all of this," she gestured down dramatically to her immaculate form. "I don't think you'd like that,"

"You're right, I'd have to kill all who have seen you in your best outfit yet,"

She pulled on her dress, threw his pants to him, then went to wash up in the bathroom.

Outside of the room they occupied, a hospital staff was pushing a cart towards it when the door opened and Bonnie walked out, glanced at the woman and ran her fingers through her hair, before she strutted down the hall. The woman frowned at Bonnie's back before she turned to the door but then Kol stepped out. He straightened his jacket and smiled a mischievous grin at her before he strolled down the hall after Bonnie. Noticing the wobble in her walk gave him sweet memories of the space he'd recently occupied. It made Kol quiver internally.

Damon and Toni's POV

"I'm not gonna have to blast you with my light am I?" Toni asked as she stepped inside the boarding house. Damon closed the door. Toni made her way to the living room and stood in front of the fireplace, looking at Damon expectantly, her hands resting on her hips.

"Well that depends-" He zipped over to Toni at top speed, but she was ready and waiting, blasting him across the room with her light. He crashed into the wall and landed, skin still sizzling from the heat of her light.

Toni walked stealthily and catlike, with one heeled boot in front of the other as she crept towards Damon and crouched down, boring her hazel irises into his deep blue ocean eyes. The corners of her mouth crept up in a cocky sneer. "Damon. I'm only going to say this once. Don't fuck with me. I can literally fry you alive and if I have to barbecue Bonnie's BFF for my own survival, so be it. I'm here to help, remember?"

She held out her hand out, which Damon only glared at. "I won't burn you again. As long as you don't bite me or otherwise attack me, we're good. I can even heal you,"

He took her hand and she helped him up. "Heal me?" he asked. Toni nodded and put her hands to his chest, and this time, instead of scorching heat, a soft warmth came over him, repairing the sun damage inflicted on him during Toni's blast. Damon put his hand over Toni's on his chest. "Tingly," he said with a smirk. "And hot ,"

Toni sneered and snatched her away, not caring to hear things she already knew from a guy like Damon. "My blood has always ran hot, must be a faerie thing," she shrugged. "So how many times have you killed him since he's been out of the prison world?"

Toni removed her Serpent jacket and went to sit on the couch. "Elena's killed him twice, Bonnie's did it once, and me three times," his gaze crept over Toni. "You should keep your jacket on, it looks like you're about to burst through your top,"

"And you should keep your eyeballs inside of your head, Damon. Worry about what's under your shirt, instead of mine, alright?" she rolled her eyes. "Come on, there's gotta be more to do here than sit around blowing you off. Where are the spellbooks? Show me the prison world spell, I can see if I can fuck with whatever Kai is trying to do."

"All ready to work, perfect," Damon opened a bottle of bourbon and poured it into a glass. He needed at least one glass of bourbon to be able to stand Toni's presence. Just one, too much and his bloodlust would get out of control. And his lust, as she was fucking tempting. Especially since he's been on vervain, Kol's compulsion wouldn't keep him away from her if he wanted her. And he certainly did, he'd never sensed anything like her before. It was blood, honey, the best smelling YSL fragrance, and pure sex. He would have her, if she'd have him. Something told him she'd give in, may have been that cocky hard to get attitude. "In the library," he said.

Toni walked up to him with her chest held high in a snooty fashion and grabbed a glass and took the bottle of bourbon out of Damon's hands. He snatched it back. "Allow me," he poured her a glass of bourbon then set the bottle down and handed her the glass. Toni scoffed and grabbed the bottle before she turned to head towards the library.

Damn, girl. Not the bourbon. Damon decided he was most definitely doing to fuck all that attitude out of her the moment he had the opportunity. He followed her into the library and closed the door.

Toni's phone rang. She looked at the screen and saw that it was Jughead. She sighed, knowing she couldn't avoid them forever. "Hey, Jughead,"

"Toni, where the fuck are you? Cheryl's dead, you're gone, and the heat is on us both . Everyone thinks I've either killed you both or you killed Cheryl and I'm covering it up for you. What is going on?" he exclaimed.

Damon frowned. Toni shook her head and made a face at him, demanding he keep his mouth shut. "Jughead, wait. I know who killed Cheryl, but I don't know where to find him. I'm working on that, but stay away from any strangers who come into town, especially tall dudes with dark hair and crazy eyes. I mean it, Jug, he's dangerous. And… I know where to find Archie," she added slowly.

"What?! Where? Toni, where are you?"

"Hold on, I'm going to try something," Toni put her phone in her pocket and looked at Damon. "How long have you lived in this house?"

"Over a hundred years, give or take a few decades,"

"So you have this place memorized?"

"Like the back of my hand. Why?"

Toni didn't answer, instead, she raised her phone to her ear again. "Jughead, where are you right now? Are you alone?"

"I'm at Betty's-"

"Are you in the living room? I need you to go to the living room, now!" Toni disconnected and looked at Damon, who frowned.

"You can't. Can you?"

"I tried it with Kol but couldn't beam here because I've never been here before. I know Betty's house. Teleportation is fast traveling, Damon. There's heat on me and some of my guys back home. I need you to compel it away. If I can beam us there and use your mind to get us back then I'll have one less problem when I get back home," she hiked her brows in anticipation.

"What's in it for me?" Damon smirked. He was only fucking with her, and the drinks were getting to him already. It amused him to mess with her.

"How about this: if you don't help me, I'll fry your ass and then Kol won't have you to worry about,"

Damon laughed as Toni grabbed his hands. "If you wanna hold hands, just ask Toni,"

"Shut up and close your eyes,"

"Why?" his question was answered when the room lit up so bright there was no other option than to close his lids.

When he opened his eyes, he was standing in the middle of someone else's living room. Besides Toni, there were three other people in the room, an older blonde woman, a young blonde lady, and a young man wearing a stupid-looking hat. The lad also had on a leather jacket, probably with a Serpent emblem on the back like Tinkerbell's.

"Damon," Toni said, squeezing his hand.

Damon locked eyes with the older woman. "Don't move," he looked at the other blonde. "You either," Damon turned to who he presumed was Jughead, his stupid name likely matching his stupid ass hat. "Hold still,"

When Toni was sure Damon compelled everyone to be still, she walked over to Jughead. "Who has the evidence against us?"

"Sheriff Keller," Jughead stated.

"Do you know where he is now?"

"Probably at his office. Toni, what are you up to?" He asked.

"Please don't ask questions. I was attacked when I found Cheryl dead and if Sheriff Keller comes across the guy who did it, he'll die too," Toni said as a matter of factly.

Betty gasped. "Who is he? What does he want?"

"He wants power. And a very sweet girl I've just met. He's dangerous and he doesn't deserve either of those and I swear. You all need to stay away from Kai Parker,"

"Power?" Jughead asked.

"Yes, Jughead," Toni answered.

Damon stalked over to stand face to Jughead. "The hell is up with your name? Your parents hate you that much, is that why you ran off and joined a gang?"

"It's a nickname, " Jughead rolled his eyes. "Who are you anyway?"

"Damon Salvatore. My parents used to love me,"

"Damon, I need you to shut up and compel!" Toni called out.

He compelled the party of three to forget anything they knew of the supernatural and Toni beaming to their presence.

"Oh and Jughead, you should know, Sweet Pea left one of his own hanging. Don't let him get away with it. In fact, grill him for my whereabouts," she looked at Damon. "We need to go see the sheriff,"

He nodded and followed Toni outside. "You gonna do that blinky thing?"

"Why don't you just speed us there?" Toni asked with a frown.

"We traveled here in an instant, I figured we'd get there in an instant,"

"Damon, that's a public building, it's the police station! Did you not notice how blinding my light is? We can't just beam there in front of all those cops-" Damon suddenly grabbed her waist and pulled her against him. Caught completely off-guard, Toni forgot to blast him. "Well, then. Lead the way, Tinkerbell,"

The door opened and Betty stepped outside. "I wanna help-" but Damon grabbed her hands and pinned her against the outside wall, snarling with his vampire visage.

"I just wanna help, I swear," she said quickly. Her matching blue eyes stared into Damon's, terrified. He could hear her heart pounding.

"Betty, you're supposed to be compelled!" Toni exclaimed.

"I know but I've been taking that vervain ever since you and Cheryl gave it to me because you said it could protect us from monsters and clearly I needed it, otherwise he would've hypnotized me," Betty chuckled lightly.

Damon glared at Toni. "Great plan, Einstein. You'd think a woman like yourself would have much brighter ideas," He released Betty and sighed. "We're gonna have to bleed the vervain out of her system so I can compel her,"

Betty's brows shot up. "Or I can go to the station and collect the case files on Toni and Jug. That way no one will see what you are. Trust me, it's a small town. If you're seen, people will notice,"

Damon thought for a second before he snatched Betty's hand and clamped his fangs down on her wrist. Betty opened her mouth in a silent scream and a cyan light beam shot out.

"Damon!" Toni slapped her hand on his back, incinerating him from the inside out. He faltered to the ground, growling about fucking Tinkerbell's and Toni stepped around him to Betty. "Has that ever happened to you before?"

Betty shook her head. "What is it?"

"Your faerie light. Betty, you're one of me I think,"

The first time Toni's fae magic manifested was when Kol terrified her in an elevator, and once again when Kai terrorized her. Fear seemed to be what activated the ancient magic to come forth.

Betty raised her brows again while Toni looked over Damon. "Which means you better not fucking try that again, Betty's gonna help!" She said, manifesting a beam of light in her hands.

"I got it," Damon growled as he stumbled to his feet. Two faeries and fae magic could be the key in taking out Kai and Lily's heretics. And somehow two faeries just fell into his lap. He'd be the hero of Mystic Falls yet! "I'm gonna help you two, but I need you two to help me in return. Both of you, so you're coming with us, Ferngully."

"Ferngully?" she frowned. "My name is Betty,"

"I like Ferngully better. Now vamanos! "

They took Betty's car so Damon had time to explain what he needed them to do.

"Long story short, I just found out my mom is a dangerous vampire, known as a Ripper," he began.

"Wait, so you're a vampire? Not a demon?" Betty asked.

"Well, some people think I'm a demon. But vampire would be the correct term,"

"Oh thank God, I swear I thought you were an actual demon," Betty blew a relieved sigh with her hand to her chest.

"Anyway. Mom's the kind of vampire that rips people apart when she feeds on them, think of it like a blood addiction. She can't help herself, she just goes crazy. I didn't know this when me and Bonnie pulled mommy dearest out of the prison world her and her heretic freaks were in- keep up, I'm not gonna say it again-" he added when Betty furrowed her brows. "and long story short, they're wreaking havoc on the town when witch magic went on the fritz two weeks ago."

He went on to explain how they wielded magic and were killing some townsfolk for food. "We already had a siphon problem, now we have it times four, plus a Ripper."

"The siphon problem is the one who killed Cheryl by the way. Because he was looking for me,"

"Oh my God, Toni. I'm sorry. What's his deal?" Betty spoke with deep remorse as well as confusion.

"He's obsessed with a witch we know and he wants to kill me for my power so he can share it with her, only he hasn't realized he can't siphon my magic. My magic- and yours- is fae and it's older and stronger than witch magic. A siphon witch who can only siphon witch magic," Toni explained.

"So that's where you come in, Winx Club,"

Betty rolled her eyes at Damon's stupid nicknames.

Elena's POV

The hospital doors opened and Alaric stepped out, looking worn and world-weary but there was content and something calm in his features. He smiled a wide smile at Elena. "They're here,"

"I know, I heard them. Congratulations, Ric. You deserve it, more than anyone,"

His face fell slightly. "Elena, that doesn't mean you don't-"

"Don't Ric. Please. That's the life you were supposed to have originally with my mom, then maybe Jenna and definitely Jo. I don't fit into this equation. Isobel had to compel you to get over her, remember? She obviously couldn't do it and I can't either. It's funny, I always figured she was just selfish and didn't want to handle her responsibility. It probably wasn't that black and white. She probably had her reasons, you know?"

Alaric nodded slowly. "Well, what will you do now?"

"Oh, you know. Be a doppelgänger, a best friend, help her save the world. Stuff like that," Elena wrapped her hands around his waist and squeezed lightly. "I'll come to see you guys soon. I just need time,"

She turned and walked away, not stopping until she reached her car. Elena sat inside the driver's seat and closed the door, looking down at her stomach. She lifted her blouse up and her abs were flat and lightly toned, no trace of the lives she'd carried within her womb evident.

She cradled her empty womb as tears and uncontrollable sobs shook from her.

Bonnie's POV

Bonnie wrapped the darker-haired twin in a swaddling blanket before gently cradling her in her arms. "Oh Caroline, she's beautiful. They both are," she said as she swayed.

"I know," Caroline said as she looked at the other infant in her hospital bassinet.

"How do you feel?"

"Absolutely fine, I'm already healed," Caroline lifted up her gown and revealed a flat, smooth stomach. "See? All gone. No trace of my babies at all," she squeezed her breasts. "No more big pregnancy boobs," a tear slid down her cheek.

Those hormones were certainly still intact. "Oh, honey. Do you want a milkshake? It probably won't make you puke anymore," Bonnie offered.

Caroline sniffed and gazed up at Bonnie with such adoration. "You've always understood me the most. I don't think you realize how much I love you!"

Bonnie smiled and cooed at the newborn she still cradled. "I know. Jo and Ric did a great job," she sighed, once again remembering that motherhood wasn't something she'd ever experience.

Caroline gasped and burst into tears. "Why would you remind me that these aren't actually my babies? Oh my God, Bonnie you know I'm sensitive! I don't need to hear that right now!"

Bonnie gaped in surprise as Stefan and Kol walked in, each carrying milkshakes and Stefan a paper bag. "Don't keep her waiting," Kol muttered.

Stefan kissed Caroline's forehead and handed her a milkshake and put the bag on the bedside table next to her. "These are for you, sweetie," then he caressed her hair, gazing into her baby blues with his forest green eyes.

"Oh my God, I love you more than anything right now. Sorry, Bonnie,"

Kol handed Stefan the other milkshake. "This is for you as well,"

She looked at Stefan. "I think I love him too," then she turned to Kol who'd gone to stand next to Bonnie, watching her hold the infant. "Do you want to hold one of them?"

He raised his brow, looking in rare fashion sheepish as a child. Bonnie found it adorable. "Oh no, no, I don't think that's a good idea,"

Caroline frowned, visibly upset. "What's wrong? You have something against babies?"

"Caroline," Stefan said soothingly. "It's ok,"

"Yeah if you hate babies I guess it is ok! Why do you hate my babies, Kol?" she folded her arms and fixed a glare and delivered a verbal assault to Kol about how cruel it was to hate infants that have never done anything to you, what kind of person was he if he couldn't appreciate the gift of life, and Bonnie decided to intervene when it was clear her man was visibly dumbfounded.

"Kol," she smiled bitterly and spoke through her teeth. "Just hold the baby,"

" No ," he said as she handed him the baby, carefully wrapping his arms to cradle her. "Just for a second. Like this," she said. He appeared uncomfortable but as soon as Caroline saw him carrying the infant, she stopped her tirade and cooed.

"Awww, see! You're a natural! All you have to do is try,"

"Which one is this?" he asked, peering into the infant's squishy face. She had the chubbiest cheeks.

"That's Josette," Stefan said as he scooped up the other infant from her bassinet. "And this is Elizabeth."

Bonnie watched Kol in awe for another moment before he gave her that 'hurry this along now' look. She smiled at him as she took Josette back.

Alaric walked into the room then. "I just went to call everyone I know to tell them I'm a father. Then I realized the humans I know thought my kids were dead since about a month ago. I had to lie my ass off and tell them that Jo was one of those women who doesn't even show and they've been in the NICU until now," he sighed. "I'm sure they all think I'm even drunker and crazier now. Imagine how credible I'm gonna look when I show up with my girls," he cooed at Josie before gently taking her from Bonnie's arms. "You should probably talk to Elena. She's having a hard time,"

Caroline began sobbing again. Bonnie had previously thought those pregnancy hormones were out of control with Elena, but it seemed like Care had gotten the worst of it being postpartum.

"I'm sorry, I'm just so exhausted and they keep waking up. I'm just realizing that this is the most they've slept since they were born and they've already had their bottle. With my luck, I bet it'll-"

Alaric spoke quickly. "Caroline, don't worry about it. Why don't Stefan and I take the girls and you just catch up on sleep?"

Bonnie nodded. "I think that's a good idea,"

The blonde hormonal vampire put her shake down and flopped backward. "Say less," then she shot up again. "But don't forget, you need to check their diapers often, diaper rashes aren't comfortable at any age. Don't take them anywhere too bright, their eyes are sensitive even though they can only see eight inches in front of them,"

"Ok, mama, I'm gonna let you get some rest now," Bonnie said, hugging her friend. "And don't worry about anything. Daddies, you guys got this right?"

"Yes, close your eyes," Stefan told Caroline who was still giving orders as Bonnie walked out with Kol.

As they began walking down the hall, Kol picked up his pace, grabbing Bonnie's waist. "Quickly," he whispered. She grinned a wide grin before he zipped them out of the hospital.

Betty's POV

Kevin was going on about Fangs, hardly noticing that Betty was paying only half attention to his ramblings. He opened the car door and sat in the passenger seat.

"Hi, there," Damon said from the backseat.

Kevin whipped around and gasped. "Betty, is this a late birthday present?"

Toni laughed and Kevin gasped at the sight of her. "It's you! Betty, she's here-"

"Alright Rupaul, you got work to do," Damon said, captivating his attention. "You're going to distract your dad so Betty can slip into his office, then when Betty has what she needs, you're going to lure him outside so I can have a chat with him,"

Kevin nodded, in a zombie-like trance. Betty felt bad but Jughead and Toni needed the spotlight off them as suspects. This was the only way she could see to do it. And it was one step closer to seeing Archie again after all these years. She'd likely try anything!

They walked into the building and headed towards Sheriff Keller's office.

"Dad, I have something I want to say," Kevin announced when they entered.

"What is it, son?"

"Mom's gonna be home soon and… well, there's something you both should know," Kevin was flailing, reaching, and Betty thought quickly. She mouthed the word mayor to Kevin and he understood exactly.

"Or is there something Mom should know? Something you wanna tell her?!" Kevin demanded.

Sheriff Keller's eyes widened in alarm and he got up to close his office door behind him. Betty subtly slipped all the Kleenex from the sheriff's box of tissues on his desk. She then faked a sneeze after hiding the tissues under her sweater.

"I'm sorry Sheriff Keller, do you have any more Kleenex? I'm getting terrible allergies," Betty expressed with a twinge of remorse.

The sheriff glanced at her warily and nodded. "Sure thing Betty, give me a moment,"

Keller and his son left the office and headed to the adjacent interrogation room while Betty quickly searched his files on Toni and Jughead. Keeping her eyes on Kevin, who thankfully was facing her while he spoke to his dad so the sheriff had his back to her. Once she retrieved them, she stood up and caught Kevin's eye, giving a silent signal that she was done. She emerged from the office and jerked her head towards the exit.

"Dad, I have someone I want you to meet," Kevin said.

"So about your mother?" The sheriff began.

"She'll meet him too, eventually! This way," Kevin and Betty led his dad out to Betty's car.

Damon suddenly appeared in front of Kevin and his dad. He sucked him into that hypnotic stare. "What do you want him to know?"

"The Black Hood killed Archie, Cheryl, Toni, and Geraldine Grundy," Betty issued. "Those cases are closed and Jughead is no longer a suspect because the Black Hood is already dead. He doesn't know or care anything more about any of these cases now,"

Damon let out a small whistle. "Who's the Black Hood?"

"My father. He actually did kill Grundy but that's because she was our high school music teacher and she had a thing with Archie when he was underage," she replied softly.

Damon laughed. "I gotta meet this kid,"

"Damon, focus," Toni said with an eye roll.

He compelled Kevin and Keller to forget any knowledge of Toni and Damon's visit and Betty assured them she would gather the rest of the evidence against the Black Hood, then she would rejoin them in Mystic Falls to face off with the heretics.

Kol's POV

Hoping to avoid the doppelganger, he led Bonnie out of the hospital only, he heard the girl in tears. That irksome raspy voice was distinctive in every generation of doppels. He attempted to tug his love in a different direction. "Let's go this way,"

"But my car's over here. Come on, what are you doing?" she pulled him towards her car and then noticed a teary-eyed Elena in her car. "Oh my God,"

"We really could have avoided this," Kol muttered. "The twit should be glad she's no longer the mum or she'd be subject to the raging and fluctuating hormones currently driving Caroline mental,"

Bonnie glared and yanked her arm away, slapping Kol's arm. "Kol! Do not be rude, she's hurting. You can go! I'll see you back at the boarding house," she turned to go but Kol swung her back into his arms and kissed her hard, dipping her low with a firm hold on the small of her back. She moaned lightly, as if his parting kiss was an injustice; it left her wanting so much more.

He released her and lifted her up before he licked his lips, pecking her one more time. "You want me to go?"

"Mmm," she exhaled a staggered moan. "Don't do this to me,"

"Tell me how much you love me, Bonnie,"

"Today, tomorrow, and for all time," Bonnie touched her nose to his before she shoved him back. "Now go! I need to talk to Elena."

Slowly and regretfully he released her hand. His little witch was most definitely a woman now, a fact which only made Kol love her more. He sighed and turned away. He needed to check in with Toni, who had left with Damon. He strolled away, dialing Toni.

"Hey," she said when she answered.

"Toni Topaz! Tell me, darling, are you staying out of trouble in Mystic Falls?"

Toni was quiet a second and whispers could be heard. "Toni, what's going on?"

"Nothing. But uh, define trouble,"

"Bloody hell, where are you?"

Kol could hear the sounds of a slight scuffle before Damon came on the line. "We're taking out the heretics. Their reign of terror ends today,"

The violence and bloodshed that sort of activity promised incited an aching in Kol's gums. He was always in the mood to kill someone, but as of late the target of his brutality had shifted primarily to those who brought about unnecessary chaos. Rather than compel the heretics, he decided tearing them about would be the most acceptable way to take them out. It was what he and Bonnie had agreed upon, anyway when they helped that damn ginger release her psychotic friends. In his eyes, a siphon witch in any form, vampire or otherwise was an enemy simply because the Gemini Coven leader gave siphons a bad name.

"You're not going to exclude me," he said.

Kol and Toni's POV

Underneath his sunglasses, Kol leaned against his car, looking as nonchalant and casual as if he were a teen who'd parked there to engage in recreational, albeit illegal activities like underage drinking or smoking. It was nothing out of the ordinary since physically he was nineteen years of age.

Toni was leaning across the street against Damon's car doing the same thing, just relaxing in her sunglasses. Totally normal, except a silent conversation was going on within their minds.

T- What if they don't cooperate?

K- Then we move things along and kill them.

T- How diplomatic of you, she thought with a mental scoff.

The plan was the heretics would end their reign of terror with an act of good faith, by collectively siphoning the spell that Kai used to trap Bonnie in Mystic Falls or they'd all die, starting with the ringleader Lily Salvatore.

Kol planned to kill them all anyway because if he was being honest, they shouldn't have ever been released from their prison world. That was the only reason Toni would help with her fae magic and not be subject to consequences, as the witch society had put this party away long ago; the heretics were tethered to no supernatural faction, unwanted by vampires and witches alike. All they had to vouch for them was the Ripper that was Lily.

Whereas, unlike with Kai, he was a coven leader, making him a prominent member of the witch society by default. It didn't matter that he wasn't supposed to be here, he'd won his merge and had been recruiting other witches to create a new sort of coven. His affiliation with the witches is what made him untouchable with fae magic, if Toni wanted to avoid a war.

A text message came through on Kol's cellphone. It was a warning from Klaus to abort the mission as soon as the heretics arrived; there would be an explosion. Keeping his calm facade, he mentally relayed the message to Toni, warning her to remain composed as well. Then Kol had another idea, which he also implanted in Toni's head.

K- There's been a change in plans, ladies.

Four vampires walked up to the town borders, expecting the whole Mystic Falls gang. Instead, there was only Kol and Bonnie, leaning against his car, sucking each other's faces off.

"Bonnie Bennett. Is this young man the reason you've broken my son's heart?" Lily Salvatore said as she and her loyal cult appeared a few feet from where they lounged.

Bonnie turned around in Kol's arms and scoffed. "Please, like you even care. Otherwise, you wouldn't have abandoned your family,"

The one Kol recognized as Valerie put her hands up in the air. She was no doubt feeling for the potent magic and cloaking spell in the air. "There's more magic in place,"

"Obviously it's the Gemini magic because of Kai. Siphon it and we'll call it a truce for now," Bonnie said.

"Unfortunately, Miss Bennett, there will be no truce. You've killed my Malcom,"

Damon and Betty stood by casually as well.

"Well, he pissed me off," Damon said with a shrug. Suddenly, a petite brunette vampire rushed Betty, pushing her up against a tree. "Why do you smell so entrancing?" She wondered before her vampire face and bloodlust took precedence. Betty opened her mouth in a scream and her light blasted the heretic, who also screamed as she was flung backwards.

"Nora!" A blonde vampire appeared at the brunette's side. "Speak to me my darling,"

When Nora didn't respond, the blonde flared her fangs at Betty.

"I don't think so!" Toni yelled, conjuring a ball of light in her hand. "Back off unless you wanna join the barbecue,"

Kol had immediately grown bored with the scene. He grabbed the blonde by her hair. She gripped his arm in an attempt to siphon him, only it had no effect on him. "Something wrong, dear?" He smirked at Damon's mother. "Someone will siphon the spell keeping my beloved in this wretched town or this little tart dies,"

"Don't hurt Mary Louise! She's only protecting Nora. I'll absorb the spell, if you just let her go," Valerie insisted.

"You siphon it first," Damon demanded.

Bonnie nodded in agreement. "Working with you had proved that I can't trust you,"

Valerie hissed with her vampire face, while Kol forced the vampire Mary Louise to the floor, still gripping her hair.

Bonnie exchanged looks with Damon before she nodded to her Original. "Kol, do what you gotta do, baby,"

He smiled and placed one hand under the heretic's chin. She screamed.

"Valerie," Lily called in alarm. She fixed a glare on Damon who gave a smirk smug in return. The mommy issues made for palpable tension in just that moment, Toni thought.

Valerie's vampire face faded. "All right! I'll do it," she cried, in defeat.

She dropped to her knees and placed her hands on the ground, sucking up all the magic of Kai's entrapment spell. Toni listened in on her thoughts and realized she was scanning for other magic as well. You guys, split now! She issued the thought to Damon and Kol, who grabbed Betty and Bonnie, zipping them out of the radius the of Lily and the heretics.

"Wait, Lily. It's a trap!"

Before she could finish her sentence, the explosion went off and all the vampires including Kol and Bonnie were hit. The vampires tried to speed away of course, due to it being a vervain bomb but found they were captivated by Betty and Toni activating their magic to keep them in place.

"It's up to you, Toni," Kol said. "They are heretics and they attacked you,"

Each fae blasted them with their light. Each vampire was incinerated, screaming at first. Lily's screams were the last to die out and the last thing she screamed for was Damon.

"Ahh," Toni released a gasping moan, as her body was illuminated with pink light. "Oh God, it's so much power, it's overwhelming," she knelt to the floor, unable to hold herself up even though Damon had caught her arm. Betty was glowing slightly, not as much or as overcome as Toni.

Klaus Mikaelson and Abby Bennett appeared out of Bonnie's cloaking spell and Abby appeared to be having an internal struggle, her face warping between vampire and human before the bloodlust overcame her and she rushed at Toni. Betty opened her mouth in a scream but Damon clamped her hand over her mouth. "Wait!"

Klaus was immediately on Abby's tail. "Abby NO! Toni is key in protecting your daughter,"

Suddenly Kol snapped the hybrid's neck and Abby was quelled. She relaxed and her human face took precedence.

"What the hell?" Toni cried. "Bonnie, your mom's a Ripper too?"

"I'm ok," Abby said, backing up. "We needed Nik out of the way. He's pissed at you, Kol, but we have the siphon. You guys need to go now that power is going to calm down soon, Toni,"

"Now?!" Betty squealed.

"Not you," everyone said. Betty winced at that. "It's too dangerous and you still need to control your light, Betty," Toni finished.

"But what about California? And Archie? I have to be there, Toni, please,"

"You will, just not now. The sooner we take care of Parker, the sooner we can all move on," Toni took Betty's hand and gave her a beam, sending her home.

"Where is he?" Damon asked when Betty was gone.

"He's at Whitmore. There's multiple spells in place keeping him there unless Toni uses her magic to move him. But you need to hurry, he'll siphon and weave his way through those spells, you have three days max," Abby knelt down next to the hybrid. "I'll take Niklaus home,"

Bonnie and Kol's POV

Later that night

The platform boots Toni wore were killing Bonnie's toes. How did she do this so often? How did Katherine? And more importantly, why did they do this to their selves? Two and half inches on her boots was all she could typically handle. She hurried down the stage at her old ballet center and paused in front of Toni.

"Slow down, slow down," Standing behind her, Toni reached towards her waist. "May I?"

Biting her inner lip, Bonnie tried to suppress a blush. She'd never had a woman look at her the way Toni did and she couldn't deny it was flattering, especially considering how beautiful she was. She knew Kol thought the world of her since he'd met her, and Damon probably only wanted her since he couldn't have her, but Toni. She seemed genuinely mesmerized by Bonnie.

That was as far as Bonnie let her thought process go since it didn't feel right to let her mind wander about someone else when Kol was right there, and since her libido was now very active, he would sense that.

"You may,"

"Okay. Don't walk so fast, a little more sway in your hips. You just strut your stuff like you own this bitch, people need to move out of your way when you see them coming or you're going to run them down," she walked up to Kol, who wouldn't budge. Instead, he crossed his arms. Toni raised her chin and placed her hands on her hips. "You're in my way. Move ,"

"I don't think I will," The halfling may have owned the territory she came from, but they weren't in Riverdale. This was Mystic Falls, the land he was born on over a millennia ago. He would not be used as a guinea pig.

Toni looked back at Bonnie, who sighed and attempted to coerce him in her soothing voice. "Kol, sweetie, the point in acting out various scenarios is to cooperate,"

"It's okay, Bonnie," she turned back to stand with her. "There are those stubborn fools who have to learn the hard way. If we'd actually met in a bar, he'd be slammed against the counter by now,"

"Correction, you'd attempt that and be subsequently pinned by my superior speed,"

"And then I'd blast you with my light and bounce right after, so you'd have to do damage control by compelling everyone. You're not always going to get the upper hand,"

Bickering like Damon and Elena, Bonnie thought as she took a place next to Toni. "Okay, what else?"

"Posture," she lifted her chin up and stood behind her again, positioning her as she saw fit and inciting giggles.

Apparently Bonnie was ticklish or maybe it was just because Toni brought it out in her? Kol reasoned that when he touched Bonnie it was more sensual and there was much too strong of a desire behind it. Of course she wasn't ticklish at his breathtaking touch, but maybe she would be if he caught her off guard.

"You have great posture. That's good, you're going to need it to hold these up. When they're yours," Toni added, to which Bonnie continued giggling as if comedic gold spewed in abundance from Toni's lips. There was nothing remotely funny about that statement. Kol skewered the side of Toni's head while she attempted to match Bonnie's dazzling smile with her own moronic grin.

"You can't tell me you're not enjoying this," Damon said, from where he stood, watching.

"Don't forget I am capable of killing you where you stand," Kol snapped. He walked up to Bonnie and took her hand. "You're awfully squirmy. I didn't know you were ticklish,"

She lifted her shoulders in a shrug. "I didn't either,"

Kol sighed as he led her out into the hallway. Bonnie glanced at Toni and Damon.

"I'll be right back," she called as Toni thrust her hands up in exasperation.

"I'm beginning to realize, regretfully, there are things I missed the opportunity to learn about you in our short time together,"

"That's because we were always working our asses to the bone with any and every magical emergency that came our way," Bonnie replied as he escorted her into a dressing room that separated half of the room by a hanging beaded partition. He guided her to one side while he took the other.

"And when we weren't doing that, I found I couldn't keep my hands off of you. The white swan one is yours," Kol called as Bonnie sifted through some costumes on a clothing rack.

"What are you going to change into?" she asked as she pulled out a white, feathered tutu.

He poked his head through the beads and grinned at her. "Why, these flattering tights of course,"

"Oh my," Bonnie covered her mouth and giggled again. "Kol these are… tight !"

"Do you like?"

She bit her lip and nodded.

"Then I shall only wear them for you. Granted, this is the only thing you like in this building,"

He took her arms and pulled her against him so they were nearly standing chest to chest.

"If you're struggling with your emotions, I can help with that,"

Bonnie frowned, not knowing what that meant and she wasn't sure she wanted to. She reasoned that Toni was just inherently smooth with the ladies, on top of her fae essence was why she felt affected by her. There wasn't anything more and there couldn't be, not if it was going to cost her safety. It was already a trying time maintaining her friendship with Damon. She then smiled up at Kol. "I'm fine. I love you and nothing is ever going to change that. I am never going to let you go, Kol,"

He raised a brow. "She's dressed now. This should be fun,"

He led her back to the stage where Toni was dressed in a black swan outfit. Kol was aware that Damon was standing noticeably close to her, but he was still compelled. He wouldn't be a problem or much of a distraction.

"Do your thing, love," he gently coaxed to Bonnie. She took Toni's hands and manifested the great power of the Gemini Coven since they were protected in the center and Kai was incapacitated anyway. Tomorrow, Bonnie would be one step closer to being rid of him, once and for all.

The magic wavered over them, as they each closed their eyes and when Bonnie opened them, she was looking into her own green eyes. She now had Toni's hazel eyes and rose gold cascading locks.

"Now, I'm gonna teach you how to be a witch," Bonnie said, using Toni's grin on her.

The next day

Toni's POV

"How long do you think before he'll notice?" Toni asked Bonnie as they entered the halls in the dorm house at Whitmore.

"I give it two or three minutes," Bonnie said, leaning towards her slightly. "He'll think it's Damon's influence when you start trash talking-"

"It is," Damon smirked.

"but the more you egg him on, he'll reach for my magical signature. All you're going to do is use your dust on him because we don't need the fae raining down hell on us,"

Bonnie, I'm worried about what will happen if he siphons you and his own collective power, was the thought Toni silently issued to Bonnie. I could take him out, I'm already practically untouchable. Bonnie made the mistake of glancing at Toni nervously and shaking her head. Kol, of course, noticed this. Dammit, Bonnie! Silent conversations require a lot more discretion!

"Whatever you're thinking, Toni, don't do it. You're not to use your powers here," Kol immediately said.

"What if I have no other choice?"

In an instant, Kol grabbed her shoulders and pressed her up against the wall, compelling her. "Under no circumstances are you to use your fae powers for this task. Understood?"

"I hate it when you do that. Bonnie, get your man," Toni said with a glare.

Bonnie hit his shoulders as Kol released Toni. "Was that really necessary?"

Damon took it upon himself to smooth out the fabric on the shoulder of Toni's jacket. Anything to be in physical contact with her. She scowled at him and jerked out of his reach, apparently tickling his humor. Toni sighed as she followed them into Bonnie's dorm room. "So let's do this,"

"Hands," Bonnie said.

They joined hands and Bonnie performed a glamour spell that wavered over both women, morphing their bodies to take on each other's appearance. Toni now looked like Bonnie and Bonnie looked like Toni.

Bonnie looked down at her full bust and squeezed gently. "I just might consider plastic surgery," she mused looking up at Kol who smiled back down at her.

"Those are real," Toni, as Bonnie smirked. Before Damon could make a comment, she placed a hand over his mouth. "We don't need your commentary,"

Toni watched as Bonnie gave Kol a quick squeeze goodbye, which looked all sorts of wrong to her as it looked like Kol was tenderly embracing Toni. Damon winked at Toni. "See ya Witchy,"

Then Bonnie put her hand on his arm and they disappeared into a cloaking spell.

Damon's POV

"So it's later. Much later," Damon casually said as they left Bonnie's dorm and walked around the corner.

"Oh my God, Damon, not now!" Bonnie hissed as she leaned against the wall.

"Humor me. There's time," he prompted.

"So I kissed you," She snapped exasperatedly. "All passionately and whatnot, that's the only way I know how to kiss by the way," Damon rolled his eyes. "Don't you think I would have kissed anyone that day?"

"Now you're just minimizing things, Bon Bon,"

She clicked her tongue. "You really hurt my feelings when you said what you said about Kol,"

"You know he'd do the same if it came down to it,"

"I wouldn't let that happen, Damon. We'd never even get that far for that to even be necessary because I love him. And even with Kol out of the picture, I still couldn't. I'm not blind, I see you and you're annoyingly captivating eyes and that little half smirk thing you do," he smirked at that. "But I'm not blind and I see you . The things you do when you're in love. For Katherine, Elena, me. If I'm never going to feel the same way, it's because I won't give it a chance to,"

"You think I'm going to let you down by being classic Damon. Just like everyone else? What do you even waste your time for, trying to change me when you know what I'm capable of?"

She shook her head. "I didn't say that! I actually believe in you and your ability to do what's right, even if you hate it. But if I were to get lost in you, you wouldn't have someone who cares about you who doesn't want to get in your pants,"

"What makes you think that I'll actually do the right thing?"

"Because you did it for me. When I first left Kol. You showed up for me,"

And that got me a whole lotta nothing, a mental eyeroll crossed Damon's mind as the siphon twerp rushed by in a huff.

"But one thing is for sure," Bonnie said warily as she nodded her head towards Kai. "If you two were the last men on earth, Kai wouldn't stand a chance with me," she was so damn bitter when it came to the little shit.

"That stings, girl,"

Bonnie snapped her head back to Damon. "If you want out of the friend zone, then walk out of my life. I am done dealing with people's fixation on me," she glared at him before she turned to follow Kai.

Bonnie, Bonnie, Bonnie, Damon thought with a sigh. As if it was that easy to get rid of him. Besides, he couldn't take her seriously while she donned the face of Toni.

~~~
Toni's POV
Kol held out his hand, gazing at Toni curiously. "Shall we?"
"Alright, boyfriend," Toni said, taking his hand.
"This is strange. The face of the one I love on someone I merely tolerate,"
"Aha! Well, I've never liked you anyway so I guess you're getting the better end of the deal."
"Says the girl who initially wanted to take me home upon meeting," Kol reminded her.
Toni sneered before they left the dorm room, hand in hand. "Beer goggles. Never forget! Now shut up and act like you love me,"
Kol led her to the couch in the lounge and sat down, then pulled Toni to sit beside him. Kol kept shifting and Toni hit him to still him. Suddenly he stiffened. He's coming. Go.
To keep up the ruse that she was Bonnie, Toni very quickly and lightly pecked his cheek -mostly because she couldn't stand Kol and didn't want to give him the satisfaction of looking like Bonnie for very long- before she stood up to wander the halls. She rounded the corner and was startled to meet the eyes of Kai Parker. He rushed her against the wall.
"You've been a bad, bad girl," he hissed in her face. "You broke a sacred vow! Do you know what you've done?!"
Toni glared at him. Kol stepped out from beyond the shadows, flinging Kai across the room with his vampire speed.
"Relax darling! Sweet Bonnie has been in very good hands," Kol announced as he took a spot next to Toni.
"And the hot tub," Toni chimed in, not knowing where Kol and Bonnie actually got X-rated, though she figured it would piss Kai off anyway.
"And the backseat of my car," Kol heaved a small laugh then waved off the memories with his hand. "But wait a second, we're getting off track. The point is, I've annulled your enchanted nuptials with my beloved. Many times," he added with a wink at Kai.
Figuring she might as well goad his rage until he explodes, Toni added, "and I loved every minute of it,"
"Why wouldn't you," Kol cradled her chin and beamed a satisfied smile while Kai visibly gnashed his teeth.
The siphon let out a throaty grunt as he thrust a burst of magic towards who he perceived as Kol and Bonnie. Toni knelt in an Atlas pose and blocked it with one elbow, boomeranging Kai's magic back to him. Instead of it slamming into him, Kai just reabsorbed it.
Kol flashed right behind Kai and reached for his head in an attempt to snap his neck. "You're an old one aren't you? Just like the fuck who brought me here,"
"Who I am is your worst nightmare," Kol snapped his neck but when the body fell to the floor, it was the body of another college student. Kai appeared behind him and siphoned him by grabbing his arm.
"Kai, stop! Don't hurt him, please. Take me instead," Toni implored, rushing up to him as Kol fell to the ground. "I won't fight you, just please let him go,"
"Bonnie, no!" Kol yelled.
Kai drained more magic from the Original before he dropped Kol's arm and blinked to grab Toni from behind. "Say less," he murmured.
Kai grabbed Toni and siphoned her, only to siphon Bonnie's spell from her and reveal that it was actually Toni. "What the-"
The real Bonnie, disguised as Toni, appeared out of her cloaking spell. Dressed exactly as Toni and standing next to her, Bonnie gave a visibly confused Kai a cocky grin and said, "Hi. Member me?"
Then she blasted him with magic, but before it could hit him, he blinked to behind Kol and her magic hit Kol instead, stunning him. "Just remember this is your fault, TT!" Kai said as he grabbed Kol's arm and yelled some Latin garble that Toni couldn't discern.
Bonnie used her magic to strangle him. "I don't think so!"
Damon appeared out of nowhere, coming into view behind Kai, jerking him forward and locking him in a chokehold. "NOW Toni!"
Toni conjured her faerie dust and blew it into Kai's face as Damon thrust him forward. To her surprise, both Kai and Kol fell victim to the slumber.
"Kol!" Bonnie cried and rushed over to Kol who was slowly desiccating, cradling his head in her lap. "Wake up, baby,"
"He'll be fine, he's just knocked out. I'd heal him but his dumbass compelled me not to use my magic right now. Get Stefan and Donovan," the fae said to Damon. "I'll scan Kol when we get back to Mystic Falls. We'll need to do the same spell Kol did with Esther, while Kai's still out, otherwise all this risk will be in vain," Toni said as she knelt down next to Bonnie and Kol.
Damon flashed out to go retrieve his brother.
"Are you ok?" Bonnie, who was still twinning asked her companion.
"Oh yeah, I'm fine. This was a piece of-"
Kai gasped and sat up straight suddenly, grabbing Toni's arm. "Bonnie!" he cried with wild eyes.
Both women screamed and instinctively blasted him with each of their magic, and Bonnie's nose began to bleed. As he fell back down, Toni scooted away and stood up. "What the hell?! He should have been out cold!"
Bonnie's weakened state caused her spell to falter and she morphed into her usual form. "Let's just get out of here, the guys have got it from here,"
"Yeah, let's," Toni took Bonnie's hand and Bonnie used the remnants of her magic to perform a teleportation spell, holding onto Kol so they all three blinked out of sight.
Kol's POV
Before Kol opened his eyes, he could sense the brightness of his surroundings. When he opened them, everything was white. White sand, white skies, white trees, except there was a clear blue pond nearby. There was no sun in the sky to be seen. He looked around to see that he was alone and there was nothing in sight for miles. The only thing that seemed to be animated was the pond which was rippling, though there was no wind to push the small waves.
Kol knelt down to gather a handful of water, only when his hands made contact, he found the texture was impenetrable. It was as if the pond was made of glass. Growling, he punched at it. If it was glass it would have shattered, but this pond may have been manufactured by steel or possibly the strongest substance in the universe as it shattered his hand instead. Grunting, he shook his hand out as it healed.
Looking around again, he grew angry at the fact that he didn't know where he was or what was happening. "What the devil is this place?!" he demanded to no one in, particular or whoever was in charge here.
"You need an invitation to drink of the Eternal Fountain," an annoyingly cheerful voice rang out from behind him.
Using vampire speed to spin around, Kol found his gaze upon a woman so beautiful she radiated a crimson glow and angelic features, as well as red hair that matched the asymmetrical dress adorning her body.
The fragrance of faerie was so strong that Kol could hardly contain his bloodlust. She was intoxicating and all he could tell in that moment was that he wanted to devour her. Trying to focus his thoughts on whether this was heaven and wondering where Bonnie was if he was at peace wasn't working; his eyes glowed in the way they did years ago with Bonnie and his fangs dropped.
Before he could flash forward and sink his eager fangs into her, she blasted him with a beam of light and it burned.
That snapped him out of it. "What was that for?!" he groaned as he fell to the floor.
"Your fangs and your impure thoughts gave you away," she snapped. "This is not peace Kol Mikaelson, you are undeserving of peace with Bonnie," her voice was melodic and cheery and she enunciated a venerable savoir vivre. She was no doubt fae royalty.
"Who are you?"
"I'm Autumn," she said with a dramatic hand gesture. "Ruler of this universe. I have a warning for you,"
Kol waited but the crimson-clad woman said nothing, just watched him in earnest. Impatience getting the best of him, he snapped, "Well? What is it?"
Autumn marched up to him, pausing just a foot away. Strangely enough, the bloodlust was present but it wasn't taking over. Kol suspected it was due to an enchantment the faerie likely evoked.
"Come with me," she grinned a sort of creepy Cheshire smile. "You shall see!" Her chipper demeanor and sonant were slightly unnerving to Kol. Her hands flew up to Kol's cheeks and a great vortex of turquoise winds surrounded them. So bright he closed his eyes and winced as Autumn's touch singed his cheeks as a world around them materialized.
