Welcome back to The Injustice Wars. Last time, the Legion regrouped and discussed what to do about this sixth faction, The Republic. Ultimately, Blaze agreed to send in Red Hood, Jay Garrick, and Vixen in to see what this group is about. So, what do the rest of the factions think about this new group? Read on to discover...

(Our scene reopens in the Batcave, where Batman is observing footage from the battle in Metropolis, specifically researching the newly emerged Republic, when Harley Quinn walks into the scene)

Harley Quinn: (With a slightly depressed air) Hey, Bats. We're putting together a small funeral for Red. Not much, but just something to remember her by. It'd be really nice if you could attend.

Batman: (Thinking about it) I might be late.

Harley Quinn: If you show up at all?

Batman: There's a lot I need to think about.

Harley Quinn: (Examining the Batcomputer) Like this new faction?

Batman: Exactly. I'm not sure I can trust them.

Harley Quinn: Let me guess, because they killed Bane?

Batman: You know about my rules, Harley. We don't kill

Harley Quinn: To be honest, I'm not sure they were wrong in that. But that's neither here nor there. Are you going to make it to Red's service?

Batman: (Thinking about it) Like I said, I might be late if I do.

Harley Quinn: (Slightly confused) Okay? Well, we'll see you there if you show up.

(And as Harley Quinn leaves, we transition to Kahndaq, where the Regime is observing the same data on Cyborg's recording system)

Wonder Woman: Just when we thought Brainiac and the dragons were all we'd have to deal with. Now we've got this happening.

Black Adam: Their leader seems familiar to me.

Robin: Might have guessed you'd worked with Vandal Savage.

Black Adam: No, not him. The other one. He radiates the energy of one of my gods.

Aquaman: Which one? Shu? Zehuti?

Black Adam: Not one of the six I get my powers from. One who was considered, but rejected. Anubis, God of the Dead.

Wonder Woman: This could prove most dangerous indeed. Especially if he's brought Shayera to his side.

Superman: (Having thought about all of this) I wouldn't be too sure, Diana. You saw everything I did in that battle. Whoever this kid is, he was willing and able to kill Bane. Nobody else I know of had been able to do that, not even me. Perhaps he could prove a beneficial ally...

Black Adam: I would be cautious in trying to recruit him. The power of Anubis is not something you want to trifle with...

Superman: You forget, Adam. I've fought gods before. Old and New.

Black Adam: The gods of Olympus, yes. The gods of ancient Egypt are beyond that. Stronger than you could ever believe.

Superman: Still, it would be worth trying...

(As the Regime thinks on about the Republic, we transition to the Skull Ship, where Brainiac is meeting with Grodd about the same data)

Brainiac: This sixth faction is proving an interesting variable.

Gorilla Grodd: An interesting variable that just took out our heaviest hitter.

Brainiac: Their leader's energy signature is unique. I wish to study it.

Gorilla Grodd: And you honestly expect that to work? He just killed Bane!

Brainiac: Such power could prove useful in collecting this world. Capture him and his allies, alive.

Gorilla Grodd: (Begrudgingly) We will try.

Brainiac: (As Grodd leaves) This planet has proven more fascinating than I first expected.

(As Brainiac replays the debut of the Republic, we transition to the Nameless City, where Darkblood and Enchantress are reviewing the same data.)

Darkblood: (Noting Hellboy) I presume you recognize the hornless devil?

Enchantress: In all my years studying the dark arts, I have never come across anything like him, except in legends.

Darkblood: Legends?

Enchantress: Nobody has been able to confirm he exists, but this demon matches the description of one Anang Un Rama. Supposedly a rogue Prince of Hell. Nothing more is actually known.

Darkblood: (Looking at Belial Aether) And their leader?

Enchantress: I know nothing of that one.

Darkblood: I can sense great power radiating from him. Almost like my own.

Enchantress Aethereal?

Darkblood: Godly.

Enchantress: A demigod?

Darkblood: Perhaps. We must try to suede him to our side.

Enchantress: Are you sure that is wise?

Darkblood: Do not question me, hag. We know he is willing to be merciless, his murder of Bane gives that away. Perhaps there's a darkness in him we can exploit.

Enchantress: (Drumming her fingers together) Perhaps indeed...

(As the Empire plots, we transition to the Republic's headquarters in Mongolia, where they too are reviewing the last fight, particularly noting the Legion)

Belial Aether: Got to admit, when you first told me there were dragons in this fight, I thought you were pulling my leg, V.

Vandal Savage: Rest assured, I was not.

Belial Aether: At the very least, they seem like a good group, the one's led by the orange one anyways. That purple guy is rough though.

Vandal Savage: He wasn't always that way.

Hawkgirl: I can attest to that.

Belial Aether: Either way, this looks like it's going to be a tough war to win.

Hellboy: We've fought tougher.

Belial Aether: You've got that right. But still, we won't be able to do this alone. We'll need an alliance. (Looks at a still of Blaze) I think she's the one we need.

(As Belial Aether considers his possible alliances, our tale ends for today)

And that looks like a good spot to end for today. A brief little reaction chapter that sets up some of the plots going forward. So, looks like the Republic's got the same alliance idea as the Legion. So how's that going to go? Tune in next time to start finding out! Same time... same channel!
