CHAPTER 1: THE FALLBACK PLAN.
It was a peaceful day in Outworld well not for Shang Tsung as he was being scolded by emperor Shao Khan"You foolish sorcerer you promised victory but end up here telling me your team got bested by those common Earthrealmers and worse ,you got beaten up by that slow moving monk, Liu Kang My lord he's not as weak as you think he even defea..."Shut up i'm thinking of a plan to get Earthrealm, send me Baraka and Jade" "Yes my lord"said a sorrowful Shang Tsung .
Some minutes later ...
(Baraka and Jade in unison)"Yes my lord" "I want you to go to Earthrealm in 16th century with the portal the shadow priests opened, get the Soul Calibur and Soul Edge and also recruit all the fighters you can get."(In unison)Yes my lord."And as for you go tell Raiden this,There is a new tournament called the Soul Kombat go with some Tarkatans attack the temple until he accepts then report back" said Shao Khan."Yes my lord" said Shang Tsung.
CHAPTER 2: THE BEGINNING OF THE RECRUITMENT.
Astaroth was wandering in a village which didn't even look like a village, after he had slain every single soul in that village. He had been tired from his search for Soul Edge, when a portal opened right in front of him, two strange warriors emerged from the portal, Baraka being a Tarkatan, couldn't resist a fight and charged at Astaroth who was resting on a tree, he charged on and tried to impale Astaroth and got one of his blades stuck on a tree, Astaroth quickly cut his blade, Tarkatan blades being so soft made it very easy"It took me weeks to grow that!" shouted the enraged Baraka as he furiously slashed at Astaroth getting more enraged as Astaroth dodged every attack due to his sharpness, Baraka getting weary each strike tried a final attack and missed as he took a slash to the chest "Aaaah" cried the Tarkatan as he took a hit fromAstaroth, "Need help?" taunted Jade "No stop bugging!,aah!"cried the Tarkatan taking another blow from Astaroth"Yes I do need help !""Hahaahhaahaah the almighty Baraka needs help" "What are you doing standing there, help me!" "Fine, hey you! would you like to enter a tournament you can take the souls of your opponents" "Fine" said Astaroth. "See fighting doesn't solve everything" "ppssh dumb luck" said Baraka "Now can you get us to Soul Edge and Soul Calibur ? "I can get you to Soul Edge but i'm afraid I can't find the holy sword, Soul Calibur."Fine let's look for Soul Edge".
CHAPTER 3: THE PROPOSAL OF THE TOURNAMENT.
Earthrealm Shaolin Temple:
"So what way should we celebrate the new Mortal Kombat champion"said Kung Lao "Oh nothing special I just wan...Liu Kang was interrupted by Shang Tsung and his attacking Tarkatans the battle was gory but the monks prevailed. Some minutes later... "The temple's a mess. Said Liu Kang "What do you want, Shang Tsung?" "A tournament, Shao Khan wants a tournament called Soul Kombat all the requirements are on this paper" Shao Khan wants a tournament, its a tournament he'll get,go tell your master I accept".Said Raiden "Its your doom Earthrealm" laughed the sly sorcerer. The note says that we must recruit fighters from 16th century Earthrealm, If so its time to meet an old friend.
Chapter 4:
16th century Earthrealm:
"Algol my old friend how are you doing something came up and we are having a tournament we need recruitments from this era" "Then I suggest we go see EdgeMaster". "Killik, Maxi good job do some more push-ups and you're true for the day" said EdgeMaster "Aaaaw more push-ups? groaned the tired Maxi. "Maxi do some push... Suddenly a portal opened and Algol, Raiden, Kung Lao and Liu Kang emerged from it. "Algol, Raiden my good friends what might bring you here" "I can see your students are doing well with their training, a tournament came up and I need recruitments from this era do you think you and your students could enter? (Maxi and Killik in unison ) Yes! "Vey well then, we shall fight in your tournament" said EdgeMaster "But we need three more fighters" said Raiden worriedly "Fear not my friend I have been watching some fighters and I have seen three promising ones" said Algol.
Chapter 5: The German Rebel
Siegfried had just had the best night of his life merry making with his crew, drinking and having fun, he had just called it a night and went home, when on his way home a light came closer and closer to him, he pulled out his sword Soul Calibur, that's when he realized that it was not a light but a portal seven beings emerged from it he grabbed the hilt of his sword, battle ready he then bowed down at the very sight of Algol for he knew that he was the one who made the Soul Calibur that Siegfried wields, and was the only one who could wield the Soul Edge without getting malfested. "My lord what may I do for you?"asked Siegfried "There is a tournament upcoming I need you to enter"said Algol "Anyhing my lord and may I ask who are these " "They are my friends and our allies in the tournament".
Meanwhile Jade and Baraka followed Astaroth as he lead them to Ostrheinsburg "If you're looking for the strongest there is one person that is so strong and luckily he is the wielder of Soul Edge but he is stronger than anything you've seen, the Azure Knight, Nightmare. said Astaroth
Ostrheinsburg castle:
Nightmare sat on his throne, lonely as ever planning to go to the neighboring village to get more souls when he heard pounding on the huge door in his giant castle he opened the door and saw three warriors, Jade held Baraka back to stop him from trying to attack Nightmare as Astaroth negotiated with Nightmare, luckily Nightmare was convinced after Astaroth mentioned that Nightmare could claim the souls of his Outworld and Earthrealm's teams were advancing.
Chapter 6: The Spartan Warriors
"Shang Tsung!" "Yes sier" "Go convince Kratos about the tournament" said Shao Khan "Yes my lord" Some minutes later ... "What do you want Tsung" "A tournament" "Whats in it for me" "Oh nothing special I just thought you'd want back your family" "Don't you dare joke about my family" Shouted Kratos "It's not a joke said the sly sorcerer" Kratos hesitated before thinking twice and agreed.
Algol had just revealed that the last fighter they needed to recruit was Kratos he then told them that they two different Kratoses from two different universes and that they were very similar. "So you're telling me that Outworld might have their own Kratos this is bad" said Killik "Whatever, we're still gonna win"said the confident Maxi, as they went to recruit Kratos. Algol, Raiden, Maxi, Killik, Liu Kang and Kung Lao went to where Kratos lived and was informed by a man living nearby to Kratos that he hasn't been living there for a while now "I feared this would happen Kratos should be in the underworld Raiden, only you and I can go there. Said Algol as the rest protested " Fine you can go, but you have to be conscious "said Raiden "Yes !" shouted the crew as Raiden teleported them to the underworld in search of Kratos.
Chapter 7: THE KRATOS' JOIN THE TOURNAMENT.
In the Underworld:
"This place is very dangerous so I suggest that we do not make a sound"said Edge Master "This place gives me the willies"said Maxi "We are almost there" said Algol. As they arrived at Kratos's spot in the underworld "Kratos battle ready said in a trembling voice"What do you want! "" Relax demi god how would you like to live again and try to redeem yourself by getting your family back again"How do you know of my tale "said Kratos "That doesn't matter, what matters is that you should accept our offer and join this tournament we need your help"said Algol "Fine I will join this tournament of yours but if any of you try any thing funny I shall end you all" Very well then let us leave this place". As they all vanished to the Shaolin temple to train.
Chapter 8:
Out of Shao Khan's orders Shang Tsung summoned back Jade and Baraka surprised that they came back with two strange warriors, a giant golem and an azure knight "You fools you only came back with two warriors and may I ask were are the swords you were tasked to bring? Questioned Shang Tsung "We couldn't find The holy sword, Soul Calibur but we did find the wielder of Soul Edge" said Jade "If you want my sword you'll have to fight me for it" "Fine we can do without your sword" Lied the sly sorcerer. Little did Nightmare know Shang Tsung lied to him, he had ordered for Kitana and Mileena to ambush him before the tournament and collect Soul Edge but he warned that none should touch or try to wield the blade or they would turn evil and malfested.
Meanwhile at the Shaolin temple Raiden, Algol and EdgeMaster trained the competitors from Earthrealm but Raiden then thought to himself what if Outworld brought back Bi Han (Sub-zero) They had to be prepared, so he brought back Hanzo Hasashi (Scorpion) back from the Netherealm to duel against Sub-Zero one last time Scorpion was brought back and the team trained with the guidance of four martial arts masters.
Chapter 9
Shang Tsung! "Yes sier" Brig back Bi Han from the Netherealm "Yes my lord".
A few minutes later: "Shao Khan, what may I do for you that requires you to bring me back from hell"said Sub-Zero "Another chance to claim Earthrealm awaits us in the form of another tournament, I want you to enter. Fine the tournament starts in the next two days, we need to be prepared.
Earthrealm Shaolin Temple: "You fighters have shown true martial arts prowess and you have achieved your Akana by defeating the best and claiming your marking we are ready for tomorrows tournament now we get a good nights rest for tomorrow.
Sorry for the short chapter the ideas weren't going through.
Chapter 10: THE BEGINNING OF THE TOURNAMENT.
"The paper Shang Tsung gave me states that all the fights will take place at Outworld in their chosen arenas the paper states that the arenas will change each match, the first match is going to be Killik vs. Outworld's Jade" said Raiden "I won't fail you Master" said Killik "Now we go" said Raiden as they teleported into Outworld.
Outworld Soul Chamber:
"Killik it's you're turn, do your best and make us proud" said EdgeMaster "Thank you master I will"
"Kombatants take your positions" Said Shang Tsung as Killik and Jade entered their fighting stances.
