"Ugh, where…" open eyes trying to focus on her surroundings, Kushina felt a warm sensation on her body. Regaining her vision she noticed she was in a crystal( like Mavel from fairy tail) inside her house bunker. 'A restoration crystal? How did I?' then it hit her 'Minato-kun must have done this but when?' She was trying to remember the event that happened before the sealing, until she gasped in fear. 'Naruto?! Where he is, I have to find my sochi.' "kai!" sending a burst of chakra threw her body, Kushina shattered the crystals and fell to the ground, but before she hit the floor, she did a front flip and landed on her feet. She moved her body a bit trying to get a feel on her condition and to her surprise she felt great despite being isolated in the crystal. She looked down and blushed. She was completely nude but to her luck no one was around.

Kushina then walked upstairs toward her bedroom to get a change of clothes. She decided to wear her old anbu gear without the mask and proceed out her room door. While she was walking towards the entrance of her house, she turned to her left and started to shed tears. She was looking at a picture of her and Minato when she was seven months pregnant. 'Minato-kun, I'm going to miss you.' She then shook off the thought and left the house. 'No time to mourn, i have to find sochi.' Kushina left the complex and headed towards the village.

She started to look around the village the moment she arrived at the village from on top of the roof. From what she can tell, it was around nine at night, and there was a festival going for some celebration. "The kyubi festival?" Kushina read on a banner, she figured they were celebrating the anniversary of the Kyuubi defeat, which means. "IT'S SOCHI'S BIRTHDAY!" Kushina squealed. But first she had to find him. 'Now where would he be, I know on my birthday when i was a kid i would go..' Kushina smirked and disappeared in the night.

-Ichiraku's ramen-

At the stand there was a little blonde boy sitting on a stool, kicking his leg in excitement. "Ramen, ramen, ramen." Naruto sang in excitement, making Teuchi, the owner of the shop, smile at the enthusiastic boy. Soon his daughter, Ayame, came out from the kitchen with a bowl of ramen for the birthday boy. "Ayame-nee! It's my birthday, dattebayo."

Ayame giggled a bit. "I know, so how old are you now?" Ayame asked even though she knew the answer. Naruto tilted his head in a thinking position. Causing the girl to squeal "KAWAII!" jumping over the counter hugging the boy before he could answer.

"Now Ayame let the boy eat, there will be time for that later." Teuchi said, making the girl return behind the counter. Naruto shrugged his shoulder and began to gorge himself, unknowing to him another customer sat next him smiling.

"Excuse me, Teuch-ji but may I have the Kushina special? Kushina ordered with a smirk. When Teuchi heard the order he turned to see who would order such a legendary dish but when he saw Kushina he gasped, soon followed by Ayame. Before he could say anything, Kushina made a quiet sign with her finger giving them a wink.

"Sure thing, haven't made the dish in five years. Coming right up." Teuchu said with an exciting smirk, while Ayame was jumping up and down from excitement. Naruto looked up at the two in confusion before turning to Kushina who was smiling at him. She felt her heart pound and excitement built up inside her, he looked just like his father but she wanted to surprise him.

"Hello there, I heard it was your birthday?" Kushina said, making the boy give her a cheesy smile, making her squeal kawaii inside.

"That right I'm five years old, dattebayo!" Naruto said.

"Wow you're a big boy huh, say since it's your birthday, tell me what would you want for your birthday?" Kushina asked. Naruto looked down with a sad expression.

"I want a family, that's all?" Kushina gave him a warm smile.

"Well, maybe I can help." Kushina offered with a smile. Naruto's face lit up at the thought.

"So, are you going to adopt me?" Naruto asked. Kushina smiled and shook her head no, making the boy look down thinking he was not wanted.

"After all, we are already family." Kushina making Naruto look up to her, with eyes filled with confusion. Kushina then got on her knees, eye level with Naruto. "Naruto-kun, I know your name but you don't know mine, well let me introduce myself. My name is Kushina Uzumaki, and I'm your Kaa-chan."

"Huh." Naruto said as he looked deep into the woman's eyes, from what he could she wasn't lying but he was tricked before and he didn't want to get hurt again. Seeing the doubt in his eyes Kushina decided to guess the boy's habits. "I bet you love pranks, eating ramen, and hate the three minutes it takes to make cup ramen. And I bet you called the hokage, jiji, Dattebane."

"Wow, how did you know that?" Naruto asked, amazed then stopped to think. "You said dattebane."

"Because sochi, you're my child and I love, hate and do all those things too." Kushina said, embracing the boy in a warm hug. Naruto was hesitant until he looked at the ramen chefs, receiving a nod.

"You're really my kaa-chan?" Naruto asked, slowly returning the hug. Kushina nodded. Naruto started to cry, "you love me and didn't abandon me?" she nodded again. "You're not tricking me to hurt?" Kushina's eyes shot right open after the question, she slowly pulled away from Naruto, quaking an eyebrow.

"What do you mean trick you and hurt?" Kushina asked. Teuchi and Ayame slowly back away to the kitchen knowing the female Uzumaki reaction.

"Well…" he started.

-hokage office-

"Damn this monstrous paperwork, how the kami did Minato get this done so.." Hiruzen was complaining, until he felt high killer intent making it hard to breath, he turned to face the window and the sky darken and turned red. He pinpointed the location and it came from Ichiraku's. "Naruto-kun! Neko, go to the ramen stand and make sure Naruto-kun is alright?" the Sandaime ordered.

A cat faced anbu with purple hair appeared in front of his desk kneeling down. "HAI!" she then shushin away without a second thought. Hiruzen turned back around, and realized something, the ki he just felt was familiar to him for some reason.

-with Neko anbu-

The cat anbu was jumping from building to building at a fast pace towards the ramen stand, unlike most people, she didn't fear nor hate naruto. In fact she thought of him as a little brother, especially since he was Kushina sensei's son. She was pissed at the attempts on his life along with Anko, one of her best friends, she swore to herself that no attacker goes unpunished. When she arrived, she saw Naruto being held by a woman with red hair and she was walking from the stand and proceeded to hop on the buildings. "Kushina-sensei, no that's impossible. It must be a ninja in a henge again trying to kill him, well not on my watch." she then pulled out her sword and charred at the red-head."

Kushina, after calming down, decided to take Naruto home, when she started to jump on the building she felt some familiar ki, which made her smile. She looks down at Naruto and smiles before putting him down on the roof. "Don't worry, Kaa-chan's old friend came to say hi, i'm not going anywhere, so don't move" Naruto smiled and nodded doing what he was told. After freeing her arms, Kushina bit her thumb and swiped on her arm, summoning her sword. When Naruto saw this he got scared, which Kushina noticed. "Don't worry sochi, I promise not to hurt you." she said with a warm smile, making Naruto worries drop. When Neko came close enough to swing, Kushina turned around and blocked the attack with ease. Neko proceeded to unleash a barrage on attack, which was parried easy.

"Drop, the henge! I will not let you hurt Naruto-kun!" neko ordered, which made Kushina smile.

"Yu-chan." was all Kushina said, making Neko stop her attacks.

"How do you know that nickname?"

"How can I not know the nickname I created, and of course I would know, you were my student alongside Hana-chan and Anko-chan" Kushina answered by reverse summoning the sword. Yugao sheathed her sword and started to quiver and shed some tears.

"Cat lady," both the women turned to see Naruto running to give Yugao a hug. "I have a mom." he said with happiness in his voice, making Yugao smile behind her mask and returning the hug.

"Sochi, do you know her?" Kushina asked, walking towards the pair.

"Yeah, she protects me from the bad guys with jiji, dog man, weasel man, snake lady, and Hana-neechan" Naruto answered, while in Yugao arms.

Kushina gave Yugao a thankful smile. "Thanks Yu-chan for protecting my son, I owe you his life."

"Of course Kushina-sensei, I would do everything for Naruto-kun. He's precious to me like the little brother I never had." Kushina nodded, and retrieved Naruto from her arms. "The hokage wants Naruto in office and I was ordered to retrieve him."

Kushina smiled, she considered Hiruzen a grandfather and he always helped when she moved to the village. "Sure but tell him.."
