A/N: Welcome back.
Another month went by with no issues with the baby.
An ultrasound confirmed the gender and she she was now just about 17 weeks.
She sat at her desk with the door and blinds shut, cradling her belly.
It was getting harder and harder to hide the pregnancy and she and El had had a long conversation the night before about telling the squad and going on desk duty.
A conversation which spiraled into a small fight, due to a close call the previous day.
"SVUs my life" she'd said through tears.
His patience had been running thin and he snapped a little bit.
"Yeah well our baby's life is dependent upon yours." He said grabbing his pillow and going to the couch.
She cried herself to sleep.
The next morning, he kissed her goodbye before he took the boys to school and told her he loved her. She returned the sentiment through tears and he sighed leaving.
Her hormones were raging, and once she was able to calm down, she felt terrible and knew he was right.
She groaned and picked up her phone texting him.
L: Come by? Please?
She sent him a picture of her at her at her desk with her hand on her belly.
L: Please :( I'm behaving...
She sighed putting her phone down and leaning back in her chair. Her door opened a few seconds later and familiar blue eyes met hers.
"I was already on my way before you even considered texting." He said softly, shutting the door. He was holding a tea and a bag of muffins.
Her eyes brimmed with tears and she got up, falling into his arms.
"I'm sorry…" she whispered through tears into his chest. He leaned back and cupped her cheek with his free hand.
"No baby… I'm sorry… I overreacted. And I'm sorry I slept on the couch." He pressed a kiss to her lips. "That was unfair."
She nodded kissing him again.
"I love you."
He kissed her again "I love you more." He out his hand in her belly "and I love you, boy."
She smiled softly hugging him again. "I'm gonna tell them today." She said softly. "Do you want to join me?"
He smiled down at her kissing her nose. He nodded.
The pair walked out into the squad room.
"No donuts today, Stabler? You're slacking." Kat cracked and everyone laughed.
Liv rolled her eyes laughing.
"Sorry guys," he grinned looking at them. "The donut place I usually go to doesn't have the muffins Liv's been craving.
The squad looked at them, puzzled, and Liv looked up at Elliot who smiled.
She was wearing a flowy shirt under her iconic blazer. He reached down, placing a hand on her belly. It was clear that it extended to just below where her shirt hung.
She smiled looking up and the squads jaw dropped.
"Shut up no way!" Amanda cried rushing over to hug her.
Fin smiled big. "How far along?" He asked and Elliot smiled at him. "17 weeks."
Fin nodded. "You're on desk duty."
Elliot gave her a look and she rolled her eyes. "Don't worry" she said opening her arms to hug Kat. "I already have strict Instructions."
"Good!" They all said at once.
"Fin" El said, "I'm holding you to making her stick to it." He teased and Fin nodded going over to shake his hand and give Liv a hug.
"Finally, Stabler, something you and I can agree on."
El and Liv went back into her office, about to say bye, when Trevor Langan walked in holding up some paper work.
"Perfect timing." He smiled holding up some forms.
Liv gasped, grinning. "No way…"
He smiled and nodded. "Donnolly can be here Friday so you can sign everything and make it official."
Elliot smiled reaching out his hand to shake his. "Trevor… I can't thank you enough for this. Seriously." He nodded.
He shook his hand. "It's a pleasure. See you guys Friday."
Liv walked in their apartment around 6 that night to find Elliot in the kitchen in his boxers making some tea.
She laughed seeing him.
"Well hello Sergeant." She smirked.
He smiled walking over to her and taking her bag and coat. "I asked Kathleen to take the boys to practice tonight. We have a whole hour and a half alone and I thought I could spend some time showing you how sorry I am for last night."
She smiled and leaned in to kiss him. "That sounds amazing baby… maybe some of that time can include a back massage…" she asked hopefully. "Your boy is starting to kill me."
He laughed and put his hand in her belly.
"Whatever you need, Cap."
They went into their room and she sat on the bed with a huff, kicking off her shoes.
He stood between her legs and gently slid her blazer off, letting it fall on the bed.
She smiled up at him as he pulled her shirt over her head.
Her swollen belly made him grin and he climbed to sit behind her, unhooking her bra.
"Boy needs a name" he said as he started massaging her shoulders.
"Hmmmm I like John" she mused.
He laughed. "If we name him John, I'm gonna call him Munch."
She let out a cackle. "Didn't think of that," she said still laughing.
He found a particularly tense spot a her shoulder blade and worked on it, pressing gentle kisses to her neck.
She let out a whimper that ended in a moan, making the blood rush to his groin.
He kissed her neck again and she let out a breathy moan. "What about Benjamin?"
He smiled and kissed up the side of her neck to behind her ear.
"Benjamin Stabler" he whispered.
She smiled and her heart swelled. Benjamin Stabler.
"Benjamin Don Stabler?" She asked and he smiled kissing her sensitive spot again.
"Benjamin Don Stabler… that's a name I can get behind and one Grandpa will certainly love."
She smiled and leaned back into him. He was hard against her lower back. He placed his hands on either side of her belly and she covered his.
"These are our kids" she whispered "Maureen, Kathleen, Lizzie, Dickie, Eli, Noah, and Ben."
His heart squeezed and he turned her head to reach her lips.
"Livie it's perfect" he whispered. "You're perfect. And Ben will be perfect just like his momma." He kissed her again
She smiled against his lips and looked into his eyes. "And his daddy" she said.
He trailed his hand over her bump and down to the waistband of her pants. He slipped it in, feeling her slick folds and she let her mouth drop at the contact.
"Baby…" she whispered with a soft moan.
He traced small circles over her clit and her breathing increased. "You know what calling me daddy in our bedroom does to me." He growled.
She looked up at him, her eyes heavy with lust and gave him clear instructions.
"Fuck me, Daddy."
And he did, until she screamed his name as they shattered together.
They'd accepted the inevitability that the week was going to drag leading up to Friday.
Noah had dance the next day, so Liv and El took the opportunity to have the big kids over to talk about the plan.
"Daddy I'm so glad you're finally doing this" Lizzie said happily as Mo sat next to Liv with her hand on her belly.
"Me too! He was so worried about the last name situation," she said.
"Yeah that jerk at school keeps saying shit to him. Kevin or whatever… never wanted punch a 4th grader more," Dickie growled.
"Easy killer," Eli said to his brother. "I talked to that twerps brother last week. He plays soccer with me. He won't be bugging Noh again." He nodded proudly.
Kathleen laughed at them. "Good lord we need another girl." She leaned into Liv's stomach. "Please tell me you're a girl!"
Everyone laughed and Liv looked at El smiling.
"Alright" he said, "We all know to be at the 1-6 by 4:30. The boys will pick up Noah in their jerseys. Girls, Cragen, and Munch will hide in mom's office…" his slip of the tongue made him stutter and he shook his head, about to apologize.
Eli beat him to it. "Hiding in Mom's office yeah, and then we'll come in with him and you'll be there by 4:45 with his jersey and the papers, take pictures, yada yada, we leave for the game by 5:15."
Liv smiled at him and Elliot, who was taken aback nodded. "Yes… yes" he said nodding again before looking at all his kids.
"You guys are for sure ok With this?"
They all yelled some variation of "yes" in unison.
He smiled at Liv. "Alright. Let's make our boy a Stabler."
