"Yuri, what the hell was that all about?"
"Ugh… I see your slapping skills have improved a little too much." Yuri mumbled, rubbing his cheek.
"Forgive me for slapping you, but you were going off on a massive tangent. Someone had to shut you up."
"Well, apologies for being so rough… but you're no saint either. I thought I had lost you five years ago… and every day on the anniversary of the destruction of Night Raid, I would have a moment to myself and mourn the loss of my sister."
"You didn't mourn anyone else? You visited Night Raid all the time."
"Of course I did! You were just the main focus. You were gone for five years, sis… and who do I see in this five star hotel? You. Hell, I was surprised to see Akame alive too! You have some explaining-"
"It's because of what happened that day!" Yor interrupted.
BGM: Scent of Silence (Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories)
"I was out shopping, so I was unaware of the attack that happened in Mistral. When I got there, it had already burned to the ground. That's when I saw the Scorpion Faunus. I thought I could avenge my clan, I put up a good fight but he overwhelmed me. I escaped before he could finish me off. This was no ordinary Faunus, Yuri… he singlehandedly wiped out the entire clan. By himself."
Yuri's eyes widened. "Wait, so he… he didn't have an army? He single handedly wiped out the entire Mikazuchi clan? But they were the toughest, most feared assassins on the planet. How could one man wipe out the clan?"
"According to Akame, he struck when everyone's guards were down. No one had time to prepare for the massacre that had happened."
"But there were two hundred of them!"
"And he wiped them out. Me, Akame and Kurome are the only survivors."
"W-wait, Kurome? As in Winter Ops Kurome? I thought I recognized her but I assumed my mind was playing tricks on me."
"No, she lives. That man destroyed our livelihood. I had to escape Mistral… and so I did. I hopped on a boat and headed for Vacuo. On my way there… I threw my scroll into the ocean."
"Why the hell would you-"
"Think for a moment, Yuri! If a man like him destroyed Night Raid, then what are the chances he would be able to track the survivors if they made a phone call? I couldn't risk that… no matter how badly I wanted to call you."
"Yor…"
"So when I got to Vacuo… that's where I met my daughter, Chelsea."
"Chelsea, the red head? She doesn't even look like your daughter… like, I could see her being passed off as a surrogate sister, but daughter? There ain't no way that's your-" Yor shot him a mama bear glare, causing him to stiffen. "Shutting up now!"
Yor's face softened. "I shouldn't be too hard on you for that… in any other scenario, it would be pretty laughable that she would be my daughter. But she came from a very toxic home that she walked away from."
"Oh, I'm sure it wasn't that bad."
"They were alcoholics. And as she got older, the drinking worsened to the point where they considered alcohol as their true child, forcing Chelsea to fend for herself. Every birthday, she wished that her parents would stop the drinking and pay attention to her. The only time they did pay attention was only out of obligation. By the time her thirteenth birthday hit, she couldn't take it anymore. She grabbed her birth certificate, put it through the shredder and ran away."
Yuri's eyes widened as the story progressed. "...Holy shit. I'm surprised Child Protective Services didn't come to snatch her up."
"They did come, but every time, it was as if the parents knew what was going on and cleaned themselves up, and when they detected nothing was wrong, they went back to their old lifestyle as soon as they'd leave. A week later, that's when I ran into her. When I heard her story, I knew what I had to do. I went into town hall and to my surprise, everyone in town knew about Chelsea's predicament."
"And they didn't do a thing about it?!"
"I asked that question a day later… they said anyone would get violently chased off the property or get shot at. She was a prisoner in her own home."
Yuri grimaced. "Hell, that's… brutal."
"After I got the new birth certificate, I grabbed Chelsea and went to one of our hideouts in Vacuo. She learned that I adopted her, and we became close ever since."
"Sooo… did you get a new scroll or-"
"I did, but unfortunately, contact memorization isn't my strongest suit… the only contacts I have are Chelsea, Kokoron, Akame, Kurome and… I'm-assuming-her-boyfriend Wave."
"Well, why couldn't you have just… grabbed the paper off of your dresser and put in my contact infor-... oh, wait…" Yuri groaned. "That explains it."
"It's not that I was ghosting you, Yuri… it's just that I could never remember your number for the life of me. I tried visiting our old home we grew up in together, but you weren't there…"
"No no, it's okay." Yuri sighed. "Sooo… uh… Kokoron is also your daughter?"
"She had a similar problem like Chelsea. Her father died and her mother… changed. She got more aggressive with Kokoron, she forced her to sing and whenever she messed up, she yells at her as if she was an embarrassment. Eventually, she had enough and walked away with her cat. She found Ms. Focaccia in Toad Town and lived there for a while… until when I got to know Kokoron, I thought "She needs all the support… I'm gonna adopt her and give Chelsea a sibling"."
Yuri chuckled. "That's wonderful… so uh… Kokoron-"
"It's Kokoro, but Chelsea called her "Kokoron" as a loving nickname for her… and everyone started using it after that." She giggled.
"That'll do it." He then sighed. "Look, Yor, I'm sorry for being overbearing, but you have to understand… ever since that fateful day…"
"You mean when our parents died?"
"No, it was after. Remember when you went dating that one guy?"
"...The one who got that eyepatch after a horrible car wreck?"
"No no, the other guy."
"The one who gave me that black eye?"
"That one! He got way too abusive the longer you hung out with him. When you finally had the courage to break up with him after I encouraged you… what did he do again? Oh wait, he stormed into our home and despite you fighting him off, he gave you that shiner. I was able to fend him off until the cops came and arrested him. I've heard of nasty break ups, but I always thought they were just old folk tales… until that happened."
Yor sighed. "Yeah, I wasn't myself for a few days either, I was drowning myself in ice cream and chocolate syrup."
"Exactly. That day, I just… felt like I had to protect you. You've protected me, so I thought I could do the same with you. So when you found that guy who happened to be an assassin from Night Raid, I just about had a panic attack. I… honestly wasn't thinking straight. I was thinking assassins wouldn't make a good significant other that I never noticed how happy he made you. I was starting to notice it myself when I got to know him, but I was still… overly cautious."
"That's an understatement…"
Yuri snickered. "Yeah, and so, when Night Raid burning down made international news… I instinctively called you but you didn't answer. That's when I had assumed the worst. So I made a vow to protect those from mass genocides… so I applied for Atlas's Special Forces. Unfortunately, it took a while and another mass genocide happened."
"The Atlas Massacre…"
"That's the one. However, even I knew there was something fishy going on. Seryu, this kind hearted individual suddenly goes on a killing spree and suddenly, she's in a mental hospital? Even I knew politics were being played. When I was finally accepted, I figured I would get to the bottom of it. …When I got around to it though, the mental hospital burnt down. Imagine my surprise when I hear Seryu lives and totally murders Jacques on live TV!"
Yor nodded. "Even I knew there was more to the story. I'm glad she's living a better life."
"Mhm. Though, I do think it's rather unfair. My son applies as a detective for Vale and he gets in almost immediately yet I had to wait a bit? Talk about unfair…"
"Wait, your son got in? The same one who's a bit self conscious?"
"Yeah, they accepted a loose cannon, can you believe it! …Although I've heard he's really good at his job, even if he's a bit insecure. The police force loves him and they said, and I quote "He's the best thing that's ever happened! He may not look like much but when he's out on the field, he's rather serious"."
"...This is the same boy, right?"
"Thank you!" Yuri shook his head. "That boy… he really is an Ultimate Detective, even if he denies it."
"And… what about the other one? The one who's a loose cannon? The self proclaimed Ultimate-"
"He's also in the same force, but he takes all the credit. Sure, they've talked it out but… nothing's changed."
"Oh dear…"
"Yeah, and while I love those two boys, sometimes I can't help but worry about them."
"So… Yuri, I just want to apologize for ghosting you all these years and-"
"Don't worry about it, you have your reasons… a pretty good one at that. And… I should apologize about my behavior in there. When I saw you with that man, it… made me panic because, this guy's a super spy and I thought this would be another repeat like with that assassin. I… honestly wasn't thinking straight. I don't mean to control your life… I tend to be overprotective without realizing it."
Yor smiled. "It's okay, bro."
Yuri teared up. "I'm… just happy that my big sister is okay." He said as the two embraced.
"Just… one other question. Why were you so worked up anyway over what Loid did in Atlas? I'm sure he had his reasons."
"Well… promise that this doesn't go into the public knowledge?"
"Sure."
"Turns out there's a hidden base deep within the Atlas base filled with tons of Faunus children in test tubes."
"What?!"
"Not even Esdeath knew about it, so when she found out about it… let's just say I'm glad some people are there to keep Esdeath chilled because I'm pretty certain she would have made Atlas fall under a neo Ice Age. She's that livid over it… and from what I've heard, she's not one to anger easily. I see her get frustrated, but never angered."
"Oh my gosh…"
"When I took a look at that footage, I saw Loid busting Anya and that dog out. I… came to the conclusion that he made that secret lab and he was taking Anya and the dog somewhere for some nefarious purpose. I… might have jumped the gun a bit…"
Yor sweatdropped. "A bit?"
"Yeah… so I figured if I took him in, I would take him to Esdeath. Now that I'm more level headed, I'm realizing that that was a horrible idea, given how the Atlas Academy is a bit of an icicle right now."
"Look on the bright side, at least you weren't caught in the crossfire."
Yuri laughed. "Yeah… otherwise I'd probably have my boys try to chisel me out." He chuckled.
"So… Loid's a spy?"
"Yeeeeeah… what do you think about that?"
Yor smiled. "I think that's pretty cool!"

Meanwhile, in the house…
"How bad is the damage?" Fox asked.
"Weeeeell…" Yatsuhashi looked at the massive Yuri-shaped hole in the staircase. In fact, the floorboards and staircase was damaged, including the railing. "From a certain point of view, it's not that horrific."
"It's bad, isn't it?"
Yatsuhashi sighed. "It's bad. I definitely know what we're doing in the morning."
Back at Hisui…
BGM: Jubilife Village (Pokemon Legends Arceus)
"We're going to a new location?" Ruby asked.
"Yes, indeed." Kamado said. "I figured your help is needed at the Crimson Mirelands, considering that we have another rampaging Pokemon."
"What's the Pokemon in question?" Cynthia asked.
"An Ursaluna. Cyllene will fill you in on where you need to go." He hobbled off, making sure his cane was holding him steady as Cyllene walked over.
"What's an… Ursaluna?" Yang asked.
"Probably an ancient Pokemon." Weiss said. "...Ancient for us, that is. This is practically modern times for these folk. No offense."
"Don't worry about it." Cyllene waved it off. "Ursaluna is the final evolved form of Teddiursa."
Ursaring can evolve? Everyone but Akari thought to themselves.
"Yup! And how Ursaring evolves is pretty neat too! First you gotta give it a Peat Block, and then you gotta wait for a while until it's a Full Moon, then you train it up and then boom, it evolves into Ursaluna! Pretty neat, huh?"
"You need a what and you need to wait for what now?" Jaune asked.
"...Think I know the reason why Ursaluna isn't in our time period. That fascinating evolution method probably caused it to go extinct." Cynthia muttered to herself.
"Great… that's saddening." Marine mumbled.
"Hmm? What for? Ursaluna is a cool Pokemon!" Akari said, unaware of what Cynthia said. "Dangerous, yes… but I can't help but be fascinated over it."
"And it's under the protection of the Pearl Clan. It is one of their Noble Pokemon after all." Cyllene added.
"We'll see what we can do." Ruby said.
Cyllene nodded and then turned to Byleth. "Byleth, are you sure you're well enough to go to the Crimson Mirelands? It's only been several hours ever since you woke up from Darkrai's nightmare."
"I'll be fine. I've been through a lot worse."
"...Alright. But if things get bleak out there for you, don't hesitate to retreat and come here safely. I'm sure your wife will make sure of it."
"That's what I'm planning on." Dorothea nodded.
"One other thing." Cyllene turned to Summer. "Summer, you look a bit weary. Is everything okay?"
"I'm fine."
"Hmm… very well."
"Hang on, we need to discuss something real quick." Weiss said as she hurried over to the hotel room with everyone but Akari behind her.
"Okay, what is it now?" Yang asked.
"I've… been doing some thinking." Weiss said. "What, with Ruby calling her scythe to help out against that Kleavor and how Gloria went into her Rapidash form, which by the way, how's your ankle holding up?"
"A bit sore, but nothing too serious."
"We're keeping an eye on it though." Victor said with Marnie nodding.
"Okay… so, considering no one made a bit too much of a fuss over it, not to mention practically everyone knows we're from the future, minus Kamado, I'd say… we probably should use our weapons. Considering who we're up against, we might just need to use them."
"I was actually going to suggest that." Rosalina spoke up. "I can imagine Team Plasma might have something behind their sleeves aside from Pokemon. They might have brought weapons of their own."
"That's what I'm afraid of." Cynthia said. "They might actually try to kill us but without the need of the Pokemon they catch."
"Indeed. I say the best course of action is use your weapons." Steven agreed.
"Let's… try not to harm the Pokemon unless we have no other choice." N suggested. "I'd rather we try minimalistic damage against them with your… unorthodox weapons." He looked at Crescent Rose. "Seriously, why do I see a trigger on this?"
"Oh, it's also a high impact sniper rifle." Ruby casually said.
N sweatdropped. "A gun scythe… that… shouldn't be possible but alright then."
Steven chuckled. "Better get used to it, N. Remnant is filled with unique weapons. Or so I heard from Umber anyway."
Luce grabbed her guns. "Alright then, shall we get going?"
"Oh… I'm so ready." Byleth said, having grabbed her sword with a look of determination.
They immediately ran out of their hotel room and started to head off toward the Crimson Mirelands.
"Hmm?" Kamado spotted them. "What are those unique weapons that you are holding?"
Crap! Weiss thought.
"Oh these? We come from a region where we craft weapons to fend off Pokemon." Nora explained.
"Hmmm…" Kamado narrowed his eyes. "And where is this region?"
"A secret village from the Johto region!" Nora continued.
He's not going to buy it… Weiss closed her eyes.
"Ah, I see what you mean. Johto does have better defenses against the dangerous Pokemon." Kamado nodded. "What's the village's name?"
"If we told you, it wouldn't be a secret now, would it?" Nora winked.
Kamado burst out laughing. "Fair enough!"
HE BOUGHT IT?! Weiss thought in disbelief.
"Let's rock!" Ruby said as they took off.
"Be careful out there, the Pokemon are far more dangerous over there than they are in the Fieldlands!" Kamado warned them as he walked back into the headquarters.
"There you guys are!" Akari walked over with the Eevee on her shoulder. "I was just playing with this little gu-... okay, those are some fascinating weapons. I can imagine you crafted them from your time!" She smiled.
"You figured out a name for the Eevee yet?" N asked.
"Not yet… I'm still trying to figure it out." Akari chuckled.
"Oh, I'm sure it'll come to ya." Yang smiled.
"Evai!" The Eevee agreed as they took off for the Mirelands.

BGM: Crimson Mirelands (Pokemon Legends Arceus)
"Wow, definitely different compared to the Fieldlands!" Yang said as they walked up to the Mirelands, seeing a few Budew wandering around as a Carnivine went about its day.
"I wonder if we'll come across another Space Time rift…" Akari wondered aloud.
"Space Time rift?" Whitley asked.
"Yeah, that's how I got this cute little guy." Akari responded. "We came across this shiny Ponyta and then this Plasma guy captured it, then proceeded to battle us with an Alpha Heracross. At that moment, a rift opened up and an army of Durant came out of nowhere and attacked the Plasma doofus."
"Indeed. From what we saw, we can safely say… they killed him."
"So was that the thunder we were hearing earlier?" Ozpin wondered. "Hmm… I wonder if that could be a bad omen."
"Considering a colony of Durant ignored you, I'd say it'd be nothing to worry about… however, I'd say we need to be on our guard. They may help us with the Plasma Grunts but they may also turn on us. You never know." Steven said.
"Right." Ruby nodded. "We just have to be on our guards just in case."
"Heeeeey!" A voice called out as they turned to see Laventon running toward them. "Phew… made it!"
"Laventon? You wanted to come with?" Akari asked.
"Yes! I wanted to see these Mirelands for myself." He explained.
"The more the merrier." Cynthia said as they started to walk through the Mirelands with Raven and Mavis sticking close to Summer.
"So you're saying she's been acting strange after getting these wisps inside of her?" Tai whispered.
"Yeah, she seems fine now but I can't help but worry."
"I'm fine." Summer said. "I feel a bit lousy at the moment, but nothing I can't handle." She winked.
"It's that "lousy" bit that's got us concerned." Mavis said.
"Hmm?" Cynthia spotted some ruins up ahead. "...That looks familiar." She said as she walked over to the ruins with the group walking with her, where they headed inside after dodging a curious Carnivine, although Laventon decided to hang back and make a small camp.
"And just what do you rabblerousers think you're doing in the Solaceon Ruins?" A voice asked as they turned around to see an old woman approaching them with a Bibarel.
Solaceon Ruins…? Now that makes sense of where we are. Cynthia thought.
"Oh uh… hi there, who are you?" Ruby asked.
"Hmph, so you're those people who helped out with Lord Kleavor." She said. "I am Calaba of the Pearl Clan… and if you don't mind, I'd rather do things my own way. I don't need any outsiders meddling in our affairs. Now shoo!" She walked forward only to see part of a plaque was missing. "What?! No… someone took off a piece of the plaque?! Rrrrrgh… when I find those troublemakers…"
"You… do stuff on your own?" Yang asked.
"Only in the interest of the Pearl Clan. Sure, we share territory with the Diamond Clan in this part of Hisui, but I don't need any help from Diamond or the Galaxy Team. I just need to… catch my breath for a while." She turned back to the plaque and sighed. "Who would have done such a thing…"
"Someone's a stubborn old fart…" Coco mumbled.
"You have to forgive her-" A voice said, making everyone turn around to see Volo.
"Volo? How did you know where we were?" Cynthia asked.
"Oh, I'm a traveling merchant. How coincidental that we ran into each other again!" He grinned. "Anyway, don't worry about Calaba. She's carried on by tradition that Diamond and Pearl are rivals and doesn't trust anyone outside of the Pearl Clan. She's headstrong, but… it is a bit hard for her to follow any leads, given that she's ninety nine years old."
"Hmph, carry on tradition. That seems true for us older folk." Zhang said with Luce nodding.
"Now then… it seems that there is a slab missing from the writing on the wall. However, I did see some smoke nearby. Perhaps we have some campers that might have seen where the troublemakers have gone, perhaps?"
"Well, it's worth a shot." Marnie said. "Could be Team Plasma."
"Then let's knock their blocks off." Gloria smirked as they walked out of the ruins, leaving Calaba behind as they walked out of the ruins.
"They were in that forest over there." Volo pointed to the forest as they walked over, where they would encounter a Parasect, but was easily taken out when Yang had her Volcarona take care of it.
As they got closer, they would see a smoldering campfire with no one nearby. Raven knelt down to take a closer look. "It's still warm by the looks of it. Either they left in a hurry, or they were coming back. Either way, leaving a campfire still warm is reckless."
"Tell me about it." Maia agreed.
"HEY!"
Everyone turned around to see three Bandits approaching them.

BGM: Trouble! (Pokemon Legends Arceus)
"I don't know what you're doing in our camp, but we don't appreciate it when you step into our territory uninvited!"
"And… who are you supposed to be?" Coco asked with her arms folded.
"I'm so glad you asked us. We are the Miss Fortune Sisters. I am Charm, the eldest of the sisters… and your luck ran out."
…Bertha? That's surprising. Cynthia thought.
"You looking for a four leaf clover? Too bad, because I'm gonna make you see Minior! The name's Clover, I'm the middle child of the Miss Fortune Sisters!"
CANDICE?! That's really surprising! Cynthia thought in surprise.
"Heads or tails? Regardless, no matter the odds, I'll make your life hell. The name's Coin, and i'm the youngest of the sisters."
Oh… Saturn. That's not surprising at all. Cynthia rolled her eyes.
"Miss Fortune" sisters? Pffft, the puns write themselves…" Yang chuckled.
"Are they Plasma?" Marnie asked.
"No, I don't think so." Cynthia said. "They look too stupid to work with Plasma."
"Stupid?! Who are you calling stupid?!" Clover growled. "You'll regret those words!"
Yup, definitely a far cry from Candice's nice personality…
"Leave these interlopers to me. I'll rough them up." Coin said, and then called out her Pokemon. "Let's go, Toxicroak!"
Cynthia shared a side glance with Steven. "Shall we scare 'em off?"
"After you."
Cynthia pulled out her Ultra Ball. "Garchomp, let's rock!"
"Metagross, let's go!" Steven called out.
"Gaaaar!"
"Metaaaa!"
"Hmph. So you have a Garchomp and a Metagross. That doesn't scare us." Charm said as both Champions smirked, reaching for their wrists and touched the Mega Stones, Mega Evolving Garchomp and Metagross.
"GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR!"
"METAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
"Oh?" Volo looked intrigued. "Evolutions that go beyond?"
Toxicroak jawdropped, sweating nervously while all three sisters looked on in horror. "TOXIIIII!" Toxicroak hid behind Coin.
"Th-th-that do-doesn't scare us!" Clover lied, her legs shaking at the Mega Evolved forms.
"Charm. It's your call. What do we do?" Coin asked.
"...Only one thing we can do." Charm glared at the Mega Evolved Pokemon, then she immediately turned around. "GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!" She took off running.
"YA DON'T HAVE TO TELL ME TWICE! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Clover ran off screaming, dropping a tablet in the process.
Coin recalled Toxicroak. "You haven't seen the last of us!" She said and bolted away.

"Hey! What's wrong, ya cowards! They're just Mega Evolutions!" Gloria mocked. "The Garchomp just wanted to give ye a hug!"
"...That one girl, Coin… was it? Definitely had a good pick with that Toxicroak." Marnie said.
"That's one way to scare off those bandits." Volo said.
"You call those bandits? Pffft… I've seen better bandits in our tribe." Raven said, fist bumping Qrow and Maia while the Mega Evolution deactivated for the Pokemon.
"I've never seen this kind of phenomenon before." Volo said. "What was that?"
"Mega Evolution." Cynthia explained.
"Aaah, so that's Mega Evolution! I've heard tales of a Pokemon traveling to the Kalos Region who granted the ability for certain Pokemon to temporarily evolve beyond their current state. Of course… I believe this is the same Pokemon who started this phenomenon when it visited Hisui. What was it called again… ah… the Illumina Phenomenon!"
Velvet's ears perked up. "The Illumina Phenomenon?"
"Yes. According to what I've read, this Pokemon granted select Pokemon with this phenomenon in case of something horrific should happen. Legend says that it's asleep after it stopped a meteor from crashing down on some islands… I believe it is called the Lental Region. However, these Pokemon still thrive to this day. I don't know what they're guarding, but it could be more than just a meteor."
Volo shrugged. "Anywho, I wouldn't be surprised if some of this Illumina Phenomenon caused some Pokemon to, shall we say, Mega Evolve. It truly is a mystery."
"There are some Pokemon that Mega Evolve in the Hoenn region too." Steven added.
"Ah yes, this Pokemon traveled to the Hoenn region as well. Perhaps it granted just a little too much of its power… because legend has it that a being in the sky was granted Mega Evolution and used its power to clash with a Pokemon that dwells within a volcano and a Pokemon that dwells deep in the ocean, stripping them of their true power." Volo chuckled. "Perhaps this Pokemon lent its power to Almighty Sinnoh as well? We may never know…"
"Vel? Are you getting all of that?" Coco asked.
"Oh, don't worry…" Velvet had written it all down. "I'm definitely giving this info to Professor Mirror later."
Ruby picked up the tablet that Clover had dropped. "Hmm? Hey, I think this was from… uh… So-law-ceon?"
"So-lay-ceon." Cynthia corrected.
"Right, that. I think this was from the ruins."
"I'll leave you to it." Volo said as he walked off. "I'll see you kiddos around. Hope you guys can quell Ursaluna's frenzy!"
"Something about him…" Oran folded his arms. "...Mmm, probably nothing."
"Let's go." Ozpin said as they walked off.
Resume Crimson Mirelands BGM
Once they returned to the Solaceon Ruins, Akari walked up to Calaba. "Excuse us!"
Calaba turned around. "Oh, it's you again. Try as often as you like, I will not change my mind on the matter. Only I can be the one to stop Ursaluna's might." She said.
"Then maybe this could change your mind." Akari said as Ruby showed off the slab.
Calaba's eyes widened. "You… how did you…?"
"We took it back from those bandits." Ruby said. "...Well, more like they dropped it after they ran away."
"Oh… I never realized that there were others who care about Ursaluna. Mmm… considering you stopped Lord Kleavor's frenzy…"
"Oooh, that's a little… high up." Ruby said.
"Allow me." Ghira requested as she gave him the slab and put it together on the wall.
"...Honey, I think you put it upside down." Kali said.
"Did I?"
Gloria tilted her head. "Uh… yeah, I don't speak upside-down Unown."
"Oh, my mistake." Ghira pulled it out and flipped it around.
"...Did I have it upside down? Whoops." Ruby blushed in embarrassment.
"There we go, that's better." Gloria said.
"Hmm…" Calaba looked at it. "All lives touch other lives to create something anew and alive…" She read and then closed her eyes. "I see… I suppose that means helping others, like how you helped me retrieve this fragment. I read this passage many times but this is the first time I've understood what it means… perhaps Almighty Sinnoh is guiding me toward trusting others?"
She turned around and smiled at them. "What are your names, then?"
Several names later…
"That is a lot to take in, but I will be sure to remember all of that." Calaba smiled. "I don't like to admit this, but I'm not in my prime anymore. I need you all to help me calm Ursaluna down. He's enraged… but I do not think he's in a frenzy unlike Lord Kleavor. If we gave him some medicine, we should calm him down. I am not one for Pokemon battles, but perhaps that's where I can rely on you."
"Yeah! So uh… where's this Ursaluna at?" Nora asked.
"He prefers to stay at Sludge Mound. Follow me." Her Bibarel got into position as Calaba climbed on top of him. "Let's go, Bibarel."
"Barel!"
"...Is he okay with that?" Marnie asked.
"He doesn't mind it at all."
"Bi!" Bibarel agreed as they walked off.
"Never thought I'd see the day where someone rode on a Bibarel…" Cynthia said.
Steven chuckled. "Well… I've seen stranger things." He said as they walked off where Calaba guided them to Sludge Mound, but on the way there, an Alpha Tangrowth got in their way.
"TANGROOOOOOWTH!"
"I'd be wary of this one! It uses Sleep Powder to put you to sleep and then it will finish you off. We've lost plenty of young Pearl Clan members from this one." Calaba warned.
"Not if I can put it to sleep first!" Yang called out Phoenix, where the Tangrowth used Sleep Powder on it, but with Yang telling him to dodge, Phoenix then slammed into Tangrowth with an Aerial Ace as Weiss called out her Mamoswine to finish it off with Blizzard.
"Tangroooowth…" Tangrowth fell to the ground in defeat.
"It'll wake up from that. We must hurry." Calaba said as they hurried along while Yang and Weiss recalled their Pokemon as a few Tangela hurried over to the Alpha Tangrowth and tried to nudge it to wake up.
As they went further along, they passed by a swamp where some Hippopotas dwelled peacefully… although a Croagunk emerged from the swamp and gave the heroes a nasty glare and prepared to use Gunk Shot, only for a Hippopotas to walk out and unwittingly get in Croagunk's way.
"Croa! Croagunk!"
"Hippo? …Hippo…" Hippopotas decided to take a nap in front of it, causing it to facepalm and walked away in annoyance.
"Here we are, Sludge Mound." Calaba said. "Now, as it's part of the Pearl Clan, I will not permit you to catch it… however, you're free to use whatever method you so choose to calm him." She pulled out her own Celestica Flute. "He usually comes when I play this melody." She proceeded to play the melody.
They heard a loud roaring shortly after as a large Ursaluna jumped into the arena. "URSAAAAA!"
BGM: Danger! There's Trouble! (Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX)
"So that's what Ursaluna looks like, eh?" Yang rolled her shoulders and walked forward. Before anyone could react, she took off her gauntlets. "Let's go, big guy!"
"You're going mano a mano with Ursaluna?!" Calaba said in surprise.
"You did say we could use any method!" Yang pointed out.
Calaba sweatdropped. "I should've been more specific." She mumbled.
"Oh no, you're not fighting that thing alone, young lady." Tai said as he climbed into the arena and squared up. "I'll join you."
Nora jumped in. "Got room for me?"
"Gloria, wait a second!" Victor exclaimed as Gloria jumped in as Akari joined after.
"Oh, she'll be fine. It's Gloria. What are you gonna do?" Marnie shook her head with a chuckle, then Ghira climbed in.
"Ghira?! What are you doing!" Willow exclaimed in shock.
"He'll be fine. He's the leader of a pack of Lynels in Hyrule." Kali said.
N climbed in. "I'll try to calm him down."
"Alright, let's rock." Yang smirked.

BGM: Battle! Stone Talus (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild)
The Ancient Bear of the Swamp - Ursaluna
Ursaluna roared, charging at them with Headlong Rush as Ghira stood his ground as Ursaluna tackled him, but Ghira held on and then delivered an uppercut to knock the ancient bear back. It snarled and clawed him, but Yang jumped in and punched him in the jaw to knock him back.
With a snarl, Ursaluna leapt into the air with High Horsepower. Gloria's eyes widened. "High Horsepower?!"
"That thing's definitely a Ground type!" Marnie said as Gloria rolled out of the way as Ursaluna charged at Gloria and swiped at her, but she ducked and then delivered a swift punch into his chest and then flip kicked him as Akari jumped in and karate kicked him in the face.
Ursaluna snarled, biting down at Akari, but she backflipped while Gloria went into her Empoleon form as Tai managed to get on top of Ursaluna and punched him in the back as Ursaluna snarled and shook him off, but Tai jumped off.
"Ursaluna! Come to your senses!" N called out to him as Ursaluna turned to N, and with a growl, he lunged at N with Headlong Rush but Yang got in the way and got in a stance.
"SHORYUKEN!" She yelled, knocking the bear back as Nora tackled the beast and wrestled it to the ground as Ursaluna tried to shake her off.
"Don't… make me play… Whack-a-Bear!" She said, trying her best to subdue him. "Hmm?" She noticed a faint purple on his fur. What…? She wondered as Ursaluna shook Nora off and pounced on her, roaring in her face.
"Nora!" Ren called out as JPR instinctively climbed into the arena as all three of them shoved the bear away to get him off of her as it turned to glare at them with a snarl.
"There's something on Ursaluna's fur! It's like there's some kind of purple substance on it!"
"I've noticed some of it too!" Ghira informed.
Calaba's eyes widened. "He's been poisoned… so that's what made young Arezu warned me about Ursaluna being in a frenzy… but why would she tell me this, I wonder?" She immediately looked into her bag. "Someone subdue Ursaluna for me, I have an idea!"
"I got an idea too." Marnie said, pulling out a Pecha Berry.
"No! Pecha Berries won't work on strong Pokemon like Ursaluna!"
…What? Marnie raised an eyebrow.
Ursaluna roared again as he lunged at Yang and Tai as they both used an uppercut on his chin to knock him back as Ghira then tackled him to the ground and held him there with Akari and Gloria helping him out.
"Behold! Toxi-Gone!"
"I still think a Pecha Berry would suffice…" Marnie mumbled. "Hell, a Full Restore or Antidote…"
"N, was it? Use this!" Calaba said as N took it and then ran over to the Ursaluna where Gloria forcibly pulled his mouth open as N gave the Toxi-Gone to Ursaluna.
"Luna…?!" Ursaluna grunted. "Bleeegh!"

"Did it work?" Yang asked as they got away from it as Ursaluna shook his head.
"Ursa…"
"That should help it." Calaba said as Marnie immediately walked over to them and pulled out an Antidote.
"Considering you guys wrestled with the big guy, you probably got poison all over you." She said, applying the Antidote on them while everyone gathered around the Ursaluna.
"Bi Bibarel!"
"It's a good idea." N agreed as he pulled out his Celestica Flute and played a melody, which caused Ursaluna to perk up.
"Ursa!" Ursaluna nudged N and nuzzled against him.
"Interesting… he usually doesn't nuzzle just anyone." Calaba mused.
"Something peculiar though…" Cynthia spoke up. "This wasn't frenzied unlike the Kleavor from before."
"You're right… something is surely amiss." Calaba agreed while Ursaluna walked off and dug something up, before turning around and giving N the Ground Plate.
"Thank you." N patted him on the head.
"Hey!" A voice called out as they turned to see Adaman running up to them.
"Adaman? What's wrong?" Akari asked.
"Have you guys seen Arezu anywhere? I can't seem to find her."
"No… not really. Why?" Blake asked. "Has she gone missing?"
"I guess you can say that. She tends to be stubborn and tends to do things her way… which usually means she's by herself." Adaman said. "Oooh… I hope she's not doing anything reckless."
WIth Arezu…
"Okay, this should be enough for Lady Lilligant… I hope this is enough to quell her frenzy."
"Well well well, what do we have here?" A voice asked as she turned to see a few Neo Plasma Grunts surrounding her.
"...So. You're this Team Plasma I've heard about." Arezu said.
"That's right. And we won't let you stop Lilligant's rampage."
Arezu growled. "You dare talk to me that way…" She clenched her fists as they called out Yanmega, Ursaring and a Rhyhorn, but then to Arezu's surprise, the Plasma Grunts brought out their own weapons.
Shit… I can't bring my Pokemon to this. They'll get hurt from these maniacs! She closed her eyes, getting in a stance.
"So, you wish to fight us without any weapons? You have a death wish, girl." A female grunt said.
"I'm not afraid of you."
"We'll make you afraid of us. Get her!"
BGM: Battle! Team Galactic Commander (Pokemon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl)
The Rhyhorn charged at Arezu, tackling her head on but Arezu jumped into the air and landed behind the Rhyhorn as it slammed into a tree. The Ursaring charged and swiped at Arezu, but she weaved her body to the side and delivered swift palm strikes into the Ursaring.
The Ursaring snarled and swiped again, but Arezu dodged and proceeded to attack the Ursaring's pressure points to knock it down to the ground. The Yanmega used Air Slash at her, but she rolled out of the way as it used Ancient Power, but Arezu slid underneath it and grabbed the Yanmega by the tail and threw it into a Plasma Grunt.
The Rhyhorn turned around and charged again, where Arezu cartwheeled out of the way as the Rhyhorn kept charging as it attempted to slow down… but slid right into a wild Onix, which was enough to make it angry and glared at the Rhyhorn.
"Alright, that's it!" One of the grunts charged at her with a dagger, slashing at her but Arezu dodged the stabs and kicked him in the shin before roundhouse kicking him in the face to knock him down.
Another grunt, this time with a nunchuck twirled it around. "Hoooo-aaaaah!" The nunchuck smacked him in the head. "Ooof!" He grunted as Arezu punched him in the wind pipe and grabbed the nunchucks as she swung it into his face to knock him out.
The female grunt brought out a katana and charged at Arezu, where she turned around and used the chain to block it swinging down at her, then Arezu kicked the woman in the knee as she wrapped the nunchuck around the sword and yanked it away as she then clobbered the woman with the nunchucks before kneeing her in the stomach and then flip kicked her to the ground.

Arezu tossed the nunchuck away. "Anyone else!" She called out before turning around. "I thought not."
The female grunt growled, slowly getting up. "I'm not through with you yet, girl…" She mumbled as she reached into her pocket. "Say goodnight."
"Huh?" Arezu turned around.
With the heroes…
"I'm sure Arezu is okay." Ruby said.
BANG!
"What the heck was that?!" Adaman wondered as the loud gunshot had echoed throughout the Mirelands.
"That sounded like it came from the Scarlet Bog!" Calaba said as they hurried off, all of them having a bad feeling.
Ibuki: Oh shit, that's not good!
They came prepared all right...
