The smile on Elliot's faces turned into hysterical and nervous laughter when the doctor said "they".

Liv stared straight ahead at the screen, finally able to make our the two different forms that were being projected.

"You didn't know," the doctor stated, half laughing.

Liv slowly shook her head stared at the monitor and Elliot cackled beside her.

"How…" was all she managed to ask as Elliot's laughter dissipated.

"Hidden twins are more common than you think," the doctor said and Elliot shook his head, taking her hand.

"Did I will this into existence?? I just joked about it this morning?? This can't be real."

She chuckled. "No, but good intuition. Olivia this is your first pregnancy?"

She nodded slowly, still staring at the screen in shock.

"Is… what is it…" she managed to whisper and the doctor smiled small. "Gender? Looks like you guys are having one of each. Congratulations! Pretty good deal for your first pregnancy later in life."

"Uh huh," Liv barely whispered.

"8 kids…." He muttered and looked at her.

"Two sets of twins," she whispered. "Twins…"

They made eye contact and both burst into tears. He helped her sit up and wrapped his arms tightly around her.

She held onto him for dear life, and the doctor left to give them some alone time. When she finally could catch her breath enough to speak, she looked up at him and stuttered out between gasps and tears, "these a-a-are hap-py t-tears r-… right?" She managed and he laughed through his, pulling back and cupping her face.

"Olivia. I get to have not one, but two babies with the love of my life! A boy and a girl… a little Olivia…" his tears flowed harder and she smiled through a sob, leaning in to press her wet lips to his.

The pair walked to their car, puffy faced and red eyed. El opened her door for her and helped her get in before going to the drivers side.

He looked at her when he got buckled and they both started laugh crying again.

"How is this possible…" she whispered and he grasped her hand tightly. "I blame Kathy…"

They both laughed, nothing the due date in their minds, and she looked up towards the sky. "I don't know if I should thank you or curse you," she said as a few tears more fell.

He watched her and rubbed her hand with his thumb, taking a deep breath.

"Her middle name should be Kathleen," Olivia whispered softly and El leaned over to kiss her without another word.

"I love you so much, Olivia," he whispered and she smiled against his lips. "I love you, baby."

They sat on the outdoor patio of their favorite restaurant, having just ordered their food. It was the perfect temperature and Liv sat with her hand resting on her belly.

The sun was hitting her just so and she was looking out into the street. El took a sneaky picture of her and she smiled. "I see you," she laughed.

He reached across the table to hold her hand. "How should we tell the kids," she asked, gripping his hand.

"I have an idea… but it's gonna require a lot of work from… well me and a lot of direction from you. You trust me?"

She laughed, a big smile plastering to her face, and nodded.

"With my life, Stabler."

He lifted her left hand up to kiss it and she blushed.

"What about Charlotte for her first name?" She asked thoughtfully. "Charlotte Kathleen…. We could call her Charlie… Charlie and Benny…"

He gave her hand a squeeze. "It's perfect."

She laughed and shook her head. "I've completely picked both of their names are you sure??"

He smiled and nodded. "I trust you with my life," he winked.

They both leaned back and watched one another, enjoying the silence and each other's company.

He broke out into laughed after several minutes and she laughed too. "What??" She asked, smiling.

"Our twins are Richie and Lizzie and Benny and Charlie." He said, causing her to laugh harder.

"My hearts set on Benny and Charlie don't ruin it," she teased and he grinned.

They went back to their peaceful and quiet setting and as they are their late lunch, and when they were finished he looked at her again.

"I'm gonna retire." He said bluntly and her jaw dropped a little.

"R-really?" She asked, slightly shocked to hear it aloud but not super surprised.

He nodded. "I've been thinking about it since Dickie verbally murdered me in a hospital bed," he paused for her laughter, "thought it'd be good to stay home with Ben. I'll get my PI license and do some side gigs if I get bored but…" he shrugged. "Twins… damn… it was a sign. I need to be around for them."

She stood and walked over, cupping his face and kissing him passionately.

"So you're good with that?" He said between her kisses and she nodded. "So" kiss "good" kiss "with that" kiss.

"And I don't want you to think I'm asking you to retire," he said, leaning back a little bit.

She laughed, "do I think you'd ever suggest anything Tucker did ever? No baby you're good."

He groaned and attached his lips to her firmly, biting her bottom lip gently. "Don't say his name when I can't bend you over and show you why I'm better I'm every way," he whispered and she bit her lip.

"Let's go home?" She asked hopefully and he laughed. "No, woman we're going shopping. If I take you home now I'll never get you out of our bed."

She smiled and smacked him lightly. He paid and they headed out to the store.

They didn't get home until almost 6 that night, and after dragging all of their stuff up, they stood in the middle of the empty room in their apartment.

"Where do we begin?" She asked him and he chuckled.

"Noah slept in my room and living room for the first year I had him," she said looking up at him. He raised a brow and she frowned "I didn't know if I'd get to keep him."

"Ah, that's fair." He turned back to the space in front of them.

"Well… we don't have to paint so maybe start building cribs?" He asked and she nodded.

"I like it. But I'd like it better after we have sex…" she asked giving him a cheesy smile.

He looked down at her raising a brow and then smiled, quickly grabbing her sides and backing up against the wall.

She giggled as she pressed her lips to his.

"I don't think this position is going to work…" she pouted and he laughed, kissing her.

"So turn around," came his gravely response.

She bit her lip and started to turn before stopping. "Please don't tease me," she whispered desperately.

He chuckled and pulled her leggings down, unbuckling his jeans and pressing himself against his ass. "Whatever you need baby…"

She sent up a silent prayer of thanks when he pushed into her. "Ellll," she drawled out, whining.

He pumped slowly, holding her hip with one hand and gently massaging one of her nipples with the other.

Her head fell back against his chest and she moaned. "Oh my god that feels good… El don't stop please," she whined, moving his other hand to her neglected, growing breast.

She covered both of his hands with her's and encouraged his massages. "El please faster…" she begged and he felt her begin to flutter.

He moved one of his hands down to her clit, watching her tweak her own breast over her shoulder. Her back suddenly arched and she cried out his name. "Elliot!"

Smirking to himself, he pumped harder and rubbed more quickly, working to get her there a second time.

When she clenched and screamed again, he let himself explode deep into her.

She leaned her head back against his chest, breathless and spent. "Fuck," she muttered, smiling.

"You good?" He whispered through his heavy breathing and she nodded, turning her head to kiss him.

"Better than ever."

It was close to 11:30 and Liv was sat on the floor eating pizza, rubbing her belly, and watching him finish the second crib.

"I can't believe we're having twins. Twins. At 53."

He laughed, plopping the 2nd mattress in the crib. "It's wild huh," he said, sitting next to her and looking at the joint cribs. She leaned her head on his shoulder.

"You think Noah will be okay?" She whispered.

"Yeah baby why?" He asked, looking down.

She sighed, grasping his hand. "Well I mean he went from an only child to the baby or the family to bring a big brother... and now a big bro times 2…"

El nodded thoughtfully and kissed her head. "How about he and I go out for dinner after we tell them and I'll talk to him and make sure he's okay?"

She looked up at him and pecked his lips. "That would be the best. You're the best daddy."

He smiled. "Thank you for letting me be his daddy," he whispered kissing her.

They sat in silence for few more minutes.

"I miss them."

"Maybe the kids can come home tomorrow."

They said together, before pausing and then bursting out into laughter.

"Let's pick them up in the morning and tell them and then we'll tell the big kids at dinner?" El suggested and Liv smiled. "Sounds perfect."
