"Damn momma," El said to Liv as she came out of their bathroom, dressed for his retirement ceremony.
She wore a form fitting dress and high heels, her make up was done and her hair was in her signature wave.
"I look 9 months pregnant."
"You look sexy as hell, and beautiful," he whispered, kissing her slowly. "I can't wait to see what's underneath," he whispered right as Dickie came in.
"Jesus man," he said, pretending to puke and El laughed. "Sorry I usually shut and lock the door to keep out unwanted intruders."
"Let's not forget that again," he said. "Noah needs help with his bow tie."
El nodded and went out to help him. "C'mere my boy," he said with a smile, kneeling down to help him out.
He stood proudly while his dad fixed his bow tie, and Liv snapped a photo.
"Okay girls and Eli are meeting us there. Do we have everything?" Liv asked, double checking her purse for her speech.
"I think so," El said smiling. He was in full uniform and Liv wanted to rip it off him and fuck him right there in the kitchen.
"Alright so Noh," she called and he turned. "Remember baby you and Eli are going with Dickie tonight, Dickie bed times and limited junk food please, and then we'll pick you guys up tomorrow afternoon."
He nodded, bouncing next to his big brother, over the moon that he was getting a boys night. It was their favorite.
"Alright we ready?" El asked and Liv nodded. The four headed to the car for the short ride to the venue. El had requested something low key, but unfortunately for him, his daughters were anything but.
The room broke out into an applause as they walked in. He grinned looking around at all of his old and new friends, their families, and his own.
He smiled at his daughters and Eli who had been dragged along for muscle and went over to hug them each tightly. Turning to Dickie, he squeezed him and then lifted Noah up, kissing his cheek.
Liv's heart melted and tears formed in her eyes as he came over to kiss her slowly. "This is amazing baby… thank you."
She smiled and kissed him again. "Go greet your guests and get a drink!" She said smiling and he nodded. The pair made the rounds, talking and laughing, with everyone admiring her ring and belly.
When it was time for speeches, Munch and Fin went up first, causing Elliot to groan. "Noah, block your ears," he teased.
F: Munch can you believe Stabler made it to retirement?
M: I can't believe he made it to retirement again! Look at this place! He's making up for the fact that he disappeared like a ghost the first time!
Everyone was cracking up and El shook his head laughing.
F: Honestly, my favorite part of this is that he retired with 5 kids the first time, and now on the second go around he's retiring with 8. Munch, was that in your retirement package?
M: No it wasn't, which is probably good for the kids.
More laughed filled the room and Liv looked and smiled over at her fiancé.
F: We could roast him for hours, and probably would if Noah wasn't here, but we also should be nice. Man, I'm so glad your dumbass came back and got the girl. She's the best for you and y'all's kids.
M: I agree. The only thing cooler than watching you be a badass cop is watching you be a dad. And now you get to do that full time!
F: Did anyone think Stabler had the patience for that?
"No!" Don Cragen yelled from the crowd before standing and making his way to the stage. Liv smiled over at Elliot- Don was supposed to be sending a video message, but Liv had coordinated the surprise.
El was tearing up and watched the man he considered a father climb up on stage. "Surprise," he said into the microphone, ushering Fin and Munch away.
"You know, surprises were something that I had a lot of when Stabler and Benson were partnered together. I went into work every day knowing exactly what Fin and Munch were going to do, and praying that whatever Benson and Stabler were gonna do wasn't going to get me fired," he paused for laughter.
"And you know, it looks like these two are still full of surprises," he motioned towards Liv's swollen belly and laughed softly, "but this might be my favorite one to be honest," he smiled.
"Elliot, you've grown so damn much in the last 25 years. I'm thankful that you came home and we can finally celebrate all you've done for countless victims properly. But more so, I'm glad we can celebrate in front of all of your kids. You've put a lot of long hours into making New York City safer, and while I know you missed some stuff, I'm glad they can see first hand the impact you have made on this many people."
The kids were teary and Noah was beaming as he leaned into his dad, reveling in how everyone was talking about his hero.
"I never had a son of my own, maybe cause God knew I wouldn't be able to handle anyone on top of Elliot," he smiled, "and it's been the greatest blessing of my life. Congratulations, son. To Elliot!"
Everyone cheered and held up their glasses. El stood and hugged Cragen tightly. "Thank you so much," he whispered as the two men embraced. "I'm so proud of you," he whispered to him.
El pulled back and nodded smiling before taking his seat again.
It was Liv's turn next. She got up and made her way to the stage. Noah climbed into his lap to listen and the sight made Liv tear up.
"I knew I should have gone first- all the good jokes have been taken," she teased and everyone laughed.
"You know, I could stand up here and talk for hours but it wouldn't do how damn proud I am any justice," she smiled and looked at her family in front of her.
"I met Elliot on a rainy night at a crime scene. And from that moment on I knew I was in for a ride. The cop that I got to know was a hot-headed and serious detective. My partner that I became best friends with was a good and passionate cop who saw his daughters and son in every victim we talked to. And the man I fell in love with, for some crazy reason, came home to me despite all odds," she finished with a whisper and made eye contact with him. He was starting to tear up and gave her a cheesy smile, swaying lightly with Noah as they sat.
"Elliot Stabler is a good cop, and has been his whole career. Maybe a little different in his tactics, but a good cop. He always does what's right, always works hard, always saves the day. He's also a good man with a heart of gold, and thats made him the best cop for the last 35 years. But as good of a man and cop Elliot Stabler is, he's an even better daddy. I had the honor of watching him be the best daddy to his kids when we were partnered but seeing it first hand? It's indescribable."
A few tears rolled down her face and El had his head rested against Noah's as tears fell into his hair.
"El watching you be a dad to Noah and already loving our twins as much as you do... it's special. Thank you for being you, babe. And thank you for sharing your kids with me... I love the family we've built together and I'm thankful every day to you and Kathy for raising such beautiful, kind, loving, and accepting children. I can't wait to start this next chapter with you and our kids." She raised her glass of water. "To you, baby. Congratulations!"
Everyone cheered and he got up to hug her tightly. "I love you so much," he whispered and she smiled, putting her hand on the back of his head and turning it gently. "I love you Elliot... and I can't wait to show you what's under this dress," she whispered and he grinned kissing her repeatedly.
She took her seat again and Elliot went up to the mic.
"I can't thank you all enough for being here. My friends and family... my kids and my beautiful fiancé. I'm so blessed and I'm so thankful. It's been a hell of a 35 years, but I can't wait to take on this next role. I have a feeling it'll be my favorite." He smiled at Liv. "Thank you all!"
Everyone cheered again and kids got up to present him with his shadow box. He hugged them one by one and when he got to Noah the little boy whispered in his ear. "I'm really proud that you're my daddy," he whispered causing El to finally cry fully.
He wiped his eyes and looked at his youngest. "What did you win for being the one to make me lose it?" He teased and Noah giggled. "No bedtime. Don't tell mom."
Elliot laughed and ruffled his hair. "Love you boy. I'm really proud to be your daddy too."
It was almost 9pm when everyone started clearing out. They hugged Eli and Noah tightly, giving them kisses and sending them off with Dickie. Everyone said their goodbyes and Liv smiled wrapping her arms around her guy. "Congratulations baby... I've got one more surprise," she whispered and he smirked against her lips.
"Oh?" He asked and she nodded smiling. "I got us a room upstairs," she grinned and he chuckled against her lips. "You're my favorite."
"C'mon... I had the girls drop our bags off earlier." She whispered and they walked hand in hand towards the elevator. He stood behind her and wrapped his arms around her belly, the beginnings of a hard on pressing against her ass.
She leaned back against him with a content sigh. "How do you feel? Officially retired for good," she asked and he smiled. "It feels amazing. I just feel so lucky," he whispered into her ear.
She turned in his arms and kissed him slowly. "Our kids are so lucky. I meant what I said. I love watching you be a daddy... it's my favorite thing."
"You're favorite thing?" He whispered with a smirk, giving her ass a squeeze that caused her to giggle. "Well... my second favorite thing," she corrected.
The elevator dinged and she took him by the hand and lead him to their room, unlocking the door and opening it.
The kids had left a basket of goodies with some cards for him and a big sign that said "congrats daddy!" He smiled and looked at everything before turning to Liv.
"Undress me?" She asked softly and he nodded turning her slowly. He gingerly pushed her hair aside, trailing his finger tips across her neck. Smirking at the goosebumps he left in his wake, he slowly grasped the zipper and pulled it down at a painfully slow pace, while his lips attended to the side of her neck.
She breathed out a quiet moan and took a step forward. "Wait right here, daddy," she winked before disappearing into the bathroom.
