AN: For those of you waiting for the next chapter for over a year- thank you for sticking with this story! A move really threw me for a loop. I wish it was under different circumstances that I was finishing this story, but I intend to keep it true to where I planned the story to go.

The five teenagers gathered in the Command Center and stared at Roberto. They had all vanished from various places in New York to go battle some monsters and now they found themselves in the middle of a space aged building, being told that they were Power Rangers. This was not what any of them thought would happen this morning. They were fairly sure no one ever thought that'd become rangers like this.

"No. You are certifiably insane," Julia said as she threw her helmet to the ground and stalked towards what looked like the exit. She was not going to have any part of this. She stepped into the corridor and froze when she saw the portraits. There were hundreds. A closer look at one of them revealed a ranger and the same man. As she walked further in, she saw the same man. Over and over. She reached the end of the line and saw the man with a woman, in a wedding dress. She recognized the woman. Every person in the United States would recognize the woman. She scrambled back down the hallway, unable to believe her eyes. Were the Power Rangers really real? She had always thought it was something that was a piece of Californian folklore.

"I am not your mentor. We are going to have to do things a bit differently this time. Your mentor has retired, at least he thinks he has retired," Roberto stated and he looked up as Julia sprinted back into the room. He wondered for a moment what the Command Center had pulled on one of its newest rangers, but decided not to address it. If it was that horrible- he was sure that she would share it with the others.

"Kimberly Hart is a Power Ranger? The TV host?" Julia asked and she watched the reactions ripple through the others. Leave it to her to just recognize Kimberly. Admittedly, Tommy had managed to live a much smaller life when it came to being in the public eye. "Who is the man in the pictures?"

"Have you decided that I am no longer certifiably insane?" Roberto asked as he locked eyes with her and she shivered. This man was not normal.

"I still believe you are certifiable, but I can't ignore the fact that I'm now in spandex, have powers, and that there is a hallway full of Power Ranger pictures- with the same man in all of them and a few with one of America's favorite morning television hosts. So- who is hte man?" Julia said and the others paused for a second before running to check out the hallway as well. The minutes passed and she knew they must be having a similar reaction. "What were you saying about mentors?"

"That I am not your mentor, I'm a Guardian. Your mentor…" Roberto trailed off as he caught movement out of the corner of his eye.

"Is me," Tommy said as he stepped out of the shadows and in to the light of the Command Center. He had risked teleporting here to see if what he suspected was happening. What he had overheard had shaken him to his core. They had killed the last living Guardian- on Earth. He knew that as fact and yet, here was another Guardian. "Although my wife will kill me if she knows that I came here. And she might kill you too, Roberto. We thought the Guardians were gone."

"Atlantis was a Rogue Guardian. He was also the father of all Guardians- it's complicated, but it's very good to see you here," Roberto remarked and she watched the man take in a deep breath. When he turned to face her, she realized that he was the man in all of the photos.

"Who are you?" Cameron asked as they re-emerged from the history corridor.

"Tommy Oliver," Tommy stated as he pulled out his morpher and rolled it around in his hands. He was tempted to morph, to feel his powers course through him again- but he knew better than to do that and instead settled for flicking it around. Tasting his powers again was just as dangerous as being here. "And I think all of you will be perfect members of my new dojo class."

"Dojo class?" Julia asked and she glanced around at the others. She could see the nervousness settling on all of them, as well as the responsibility. The little bit that she knew about the Power Rangers made her feel that their lives were going to be forever changed.

"If we don't want my wife to kill us. Yeah, dojo class," Tommy reiterated as he smiled at them- the first genuine smile she had seen from him. That smile relaxed her in ways that she could not believe. She felt safe. She felt like they were going to be okay. He had, obviously, worked with tons of rangers and gotten them through everything. Why would they be any different? "She's kind of a reluctant mentor, but maybe we'll get her to come around. I am going to need names though."

"Cameron- your white ranger. The chatty one is Julia- she's your pink. Patrick is your red. Shelby is the blue, and Brandon is the black," Roberto recapped and Tommy looked over at him and the rangers gawked. They had never told him their names. "We need to talk about the functions that Guardians have that are helpful to the Power Rangers; how we were meant to balance each other out. It's a function we've not been able to fulfill because none of us dared come close enough to tell you what we were."

"You are one hell of a pizza delivery guy," Tommy muttered and Roberto chuckled. The pizza delivery routine was the least of his worries at the moment. "As for all of you- you'll come sign up at Hayabusa Karate Academy- ask for Renshi Oliver's Thursday evening class. You should get going- don't want anyone to notice that you're gone."

Before they could say anything else- they were teleported out of the Command Center and landed in the middle of Times Square. The shock settled in for a moment that no one had noticed them suddenly appear. They weren't aware that they had travelled across the country to do so.

"His wife is Kimberly Hart, right?" Julia asked and the others looked over at her and barely nodded. "Anyone else think it is a horrible idea to keep this a secret from her?"

"Probably, but he's a grown man and we're going to need help. See you at the dojo?" Cameron asked as he held out his hand to her and she took in a shaky breath. She did not want to do this, but she was not sure she had much of a choice. As she shook his hand, she felt the slight bolt of electricity and shook that thought of her head. She was here to do a job. She wasn't here to meet her husband.
