MUGEN
Surprise
.
"C'mon InuYasha! Get a move on!" I look back at you, almost perplexed at how slow your pace is, as you hide your hands inside your red kosode's sleeves and move like we have all the time in the world. Maybe that's why I urge you by using your name, trying to let it show in my voice. "InuYasha."
"I don't get why such a hurry." You say, and your voice only lacked the usual shrug to fully convey your feelings.
I huff, annoyed. I don't want to tell you the reason why we are climbing the hill, or why I insisted so much in coming to stargaze tonight; that would ruin the surprise.
"Just be quick." I insist, then continue on.
"The starts will still be there during the whole night." You retort, seemingly set on testing my patience.
I find no desire to answer, to which you follow with a huff, together with the only word you reply with.
"Fine." You say, then lift me in your arms to carry me up hill.
We take but an instant to arrive.
"Thank you." I smile as I say it. Many times you've done the same, to say things through your actions; One of the reasons why I love you.
"Bah, woman. It was nothing." You act modest, because you are modest, one of the many colors in the myriad composing you, from the most impetuous rebellion, to the purest humanity.
"Alright, let's go." I take your hand, and pull you closer to the peak of the hill, where I lay the mat I've brought, and invite you to sit by my side.
We remain there a long, silent instant, observing the stars surrounding a moon that's almost full, which I can't help compare with the night sky of my time; here, even with a full moon I can glimpse upon so many stars…
"How long will we be here?" You ask.
"Just a bit more." I say with confidence, as I see the start of that I want to show you. "When I was back in my time, there was this astrological phenomenon. It wasn't the only one, it's been repeating throughout time, and what made it special were the dates it had happened before. I remember one in particular, because it made me think if you may live it."
The moon's light began to be covered by a growing shadow, from its left side, one I knew would slowly approach the center of the white orb.
"I wanted to surprise you. It's an eclipse." I mention, not fully knowing if you call it the same, yet the one who gets surprised is me, as I watch your silvery hair be tinted dark ink, from its root to the end of each strand; even your hanyou ears disappear.
Then, you meet my gaze, and the vivid golden lingers there, beautifully colored by the growing orange of the moon.
"InuYasha." I show my wonder.
"I notice it." You say, your eyes lingering on me.
Suddenly, the lunar eclipse is no longer important; you are there, by my side, your hair completely black and your golden eyes, radiant.
"Your eyes…" I whisper, delighted in the magic glow I see in you.
"What's wrong with them?" You ask.
I turn in your direction, the moon now completely out of my thoughts.
"They are still golden." I explain, staring at you, fascinated by you. "I love it." I sigh.
That attractive golden, shows me your growing understanding, then you smile, almost shy, with an innocence I can only take as a result of the wonderful moment. Unable to hold myself back, I lean against you, leaving a kiss on your cheek.
"No." you say, and I take a second to understand what you mean, during which your hands find place on my waist, and your lips on mine, with that impetuous rebellion that suddenly blazes into the purest of passions.
.
Much later, as the strands of your hair start to turn of their usual silver against your naked chest, I recall the moon, and quickly come to understand that, whatever I may want to show you, you always manage to be even more wonderful.

A/N
A short story born from a question that came to me yesterday… Does InuYasha turn into a human during an eclipse?
Believe me, I don't know, yet I liked the idea, and to write about it.
Kisses, and I hope you've liked it and that you tell me.
Anyara.
