|next day at school|

Scott is filling in Allison, Lydia and Isaac on their current request from Noah Stilinski.

"A Coyote really?" Isaac asks with disbelief.

"Yeah man. Were-coyote." Scott responds.

"So what do we do about it?" Allison asks.

"No clue yet. I was gonna talk to Deaton if he knows if I can force the coyote to reveal their identity." Scott says.

"reveal their identity?" Issac asks.

"Make them shift back." Lydia explains.

"You have to be careful though. Even if you are an alpha, you can get hurt." Lydia tells Scott, grabbing his hand concerned.

"I know, especially since we're all pretty shaken up by the aftereffects of giving the Nemeton power." Scott agrees.

"So, if Deaton says you can turn it human. What then? I mean he's not gonna just confess to killing the Tate family will he?" Isaac asks.

"I don't know, but we have to find out who we're dealing with so we can take the next step afterwards." Scott tells them.

"Wait something is weird. I smell something." Isaac says, sniffing the air. Scott and he perk up their ears, hearing a panicking Stiles rushing into the boy's locker room with Kira.

The two boys jump up from their seat in the cafeteria and run down the halls, seeing broken glass on the floor in front of the locker room door.

"Stiles!" Scott shouts, opening the door to the locker room and sees the coyote jump out of a window across the room.

"Don't." Scott stops Isaac from going after the Coyote who escaped with the doll Stiles took from the car wreck.

"Stiles where are you?" Scott asks loudly, looking around until Stiles and Kira slip out from under a row of benches.

"You two alright?" Scott asks, pulling the two up with an offered hand each.

"Yeah. But why was the coyote here?" Stiles asks.

Scott shows Stiles his now ripped open backpack and the teen notices the missing doll.

"The doll? Seriously?" Stiles asks and Scott shrugs.

"Are you OK?" Scott then asks Kira.

"Yeah. But what just happened?" She asks confused.

"It's complicated but you're fine now." Stiles answers awkwardly.

"And thanks for your insight on that Bardo thing." Stiles says, holding up a detailed printout Kira brought with her for the group.

"Should we call the janitor or something?" Stiles asks when they leave the locker room with Isaac.

The four seeing Lydia and Allison already waiting for them with Scott's and Isaac's bag.

"Let coach deal with it. I'm gonna go tell him what happened." Scott says volunteering to inform the PE teacher, Lydia following quickly and taking his hand in hers after handing him his backpack.

"Thank you." He says gratefully and smiles at her, kissing her cheek.

"Coach?" Scott asks loudly when the two enter the locker room with his office.

"McCall. What? Am I supposed to officiate you or something. Let go of each other!" Coach tells the couple angry as always.

"Uhm Stiles and a girl just got attacked by a wild dog. It left but it crashed through some windows..." Scott informs the teacher.

"Seriously? A wild dog? And you think I'm gonna buy that?" Coach replies.

"Coach, quick students reported a wild dog running over the lacrosse field. You should call animal control!" A group of 8 students then come rushing to the teacher.

"Yes, well I never doubted you McCall. Good luck with the ball and chain." Coach says fake coughing and goes back into his office, to call the authorities.

"I'm your ball and chain huh?" Lydia asks Scott teasingly.

"I'm hoping one day." Scott says huskily, wrapping an arm around her hip and pinning her against a wall, kissing her lovingly.

"Come on, we should meet up with the others." Lydia says blushing and smiling to herself, which is unusual for the usually in control and dominant Redhead he loves.

Later that evening Scott meets up with Lydia, Stiles, Allison and Isaac to make a plan on how to handle the coyote, Deaton having informed him that in theory he should be able to change it back with his superior power.

"Are we all? What about Derek and his crazy ass uncle? This is a scenario where I wouldn't mind the murdery bastard as company." Stiles says when he looks at his four friends.

"It's gonna be fine. And I don't know where they are I tried to call them, but they're not answering." Scott says.

"Deaton said you'd feel safer with this." Scott says, handing Stiles a small leather pouch that's tied closed.

"What's that?" Isaac asks, looking inside and hooks a finger into the bag, only to pull it away with a painful yelp.

"Mountain ash." Scott says.

"Yes! Thank god. Uhm I mean, alright we're good to go." Stiles says ecstatically before clearing his throat and giving them a thumbs up.

"You guys ready as well?" Scott asks, looking at Allison, Isaac and Lydia, receiving nods in reply.

"Alright. You guys go ahead. I'll meet you at the parking space." Scott tells them, the five exiting the animal clinic, but Scott ducks into an alley instead of going for his bike.

"What's he doing?" Allison asks.

"I'm not sure." Lydia says looking to where he disappeared to for a second before getting in her car with Isaac and Allison.

The two cars pull away from the parking lot and Scott steps out of the alley with Ethan and Aiden.

"What do you want?" Scott asks, going over to his bike.

"We need a pack." Ethan says.

"And you need more strength in yours." Aiden adds.

"Do you two think you're the right kind of material for my pack though?" Scott asks.

"What are you talking about. This will work for both sides." Aiden says annoyed, but his brother holds his arm in front of Aiden.

"We'll talk about this another time then." Ethan says, getting Scott's message.

"Good. Just don't hit on Lydia." Scott says, looking at the twins with red glowing eyes, the two teens swearing they could see a black cloak of feathers around him, drenched in black blood when he locks eyes with them.

Scott then puts on his helmet and drives off to meet up with his pack.

"He's not someone you mess with." Ethan berates his brother who got too worked up.

"Come on he's a punk. His pack is all humans and one whiny wolf." Aiden replies.

"Yet he was able to go head-to-head with Deucalion, when he had us and Kali in his pack." Ethan reminds his brother who either doesn't understand Scott's power or just tries to deny it so he won't be terrified.

20 minutes later Scott pulls up to the small parking area

"Alright, here's how we're gonna play this. Allison and Isaac, you two head to the car wreck and look for it there. Try to shoot it with a tranquilizer and if that fails you howl for me. I'm going with Lydia and Stiles." Scott tells them.

"No." Lydia says decisively.

"What do you mean no?" Stiles asks nervously while the group looks at her surprised.

"Stiles and I will look for it ourselves. We'll start where you said you lost it the last time and move towards the wreck." Lydia says.

"What why?" Stiles asks annoyed.

"It's strategically stupid to leave the guy who can fly on the ground and prolong the search time unnecessarily." Lydia explains.

"Are you sure? You two aren't the best when it comes to combat babe." Scott asks.

"We can do it and if we're in danger Stiles will use the mountain ash and I will scream. You will find us then, right?" Lydia asks, knowing her scream has some kind of effect on the supernatural.

"Yeah. Are you sure though? You don't have anything to prove." Scott asks her.

"I know but if we're gonna be a real team or pack then we need to get used to making hard decisions as well as easy ones." Lydia tells him.

"Alright. You heard Lydia." Scott says and Isaac leaves with Allison.

"I'll give you guys a lift to where I lost it." Scott says, going over to them while large brown wings spread behind him and his hair becomes a mix of hair and feathers.

"We can do this Scott." Lydia tells Scott softly, while he grabs the two and starts flapping his wings, lifting off and flying them to the spot he lost the coyote at the day before.

"Be careful you two." Scott says before flying up until he's above the treeline and looks down on the woods from above with his red glowing alpha eyes, looking for heat signatures.

Hearing two quiet popping sounds 5 minutes later Scott flies over to Allison and Isaac, finding their heat signatures easily through the treetops.

"Was it here?" Scott asks.

"Yeah. It went that way." Isaac says, pointing in the direction Lydia and Stiles should be at.

"Lydia, Stiles." Scott whispers worried and jumps up, flapping his wings and flies after the coyote, being able to see the occasional faint paw print giving off heat.

He follows the trail until he hears Lydia's shrill scream, making him feel as though all of his body just got punched with a club and he goes down, being able to crash-land safely before his wings are completely gone.

Looking up he sees Lydia panting out of breath, looking at a naked girl their age with messy brown hair who looks around like she just got hit by a truck while Stiles stares at her with a gaping jaw.

"Who is she?" Scott asks coming over to Lydia and checks her for injuries.

"The coyote. I screamed and she shifted back." Lydia explains shakily, being shocked by this herself.

Scott takes off his Jacket and hands it to the naked girl who looks at him and Lydia confused.

Lydia comes over and helps her into the clothing, zipping the jacket up once she put her arms into it.

"Who are you?" Lydia asks the girl who stares at her and Scott, Stiles barely being on her radar.

"Malia." She says raspily.

"Wait. Malia as in Malia Tate?" Stiles asks and she nods quickly.

"OK. Uhm, do you know what happened?" Lydia asks.

"I couldn't control it. I didn't mean to hurt them." Malia says sorrowfully, nodding her head.

"How long were you stuck like this?" Scott asks.

"Since the crash." Malia informs them.

"Wow. That was about 8 years ago Malia." Lydia says.

"Stiles you better call your dad. He'll want to bring Malia home and we have to come up with a story." Scott says, Allison and Isaac arriving shortly afterwards, staring at the girl sitting on the floor in surprise as well while Lydia comforts the confused and scared girl.

"You smell weird. Like him." Malia tells the redhead.

"Scott is my boyfriend. And he's special like me and you too. Just in another way." Lydia explains, Scott showing Malia his red glowing alpha eyes, making her shudder in a mix of fear and exhilaration.

|3 hours later|

"I don't even know if we should bother going to sleep." Lydia moans tiredly, she and Scott pulling up in her driveway and quietly entering her home and choosing to lie down on her couch instead of going upstairs into her room and risk waking her mother.

"Hey, you did something amazing today. I think it's fine if we lose a bit of sleep for that, don't you?" Scott asks her, kicking off his shoes and tossing his shirt down next to them.

"do we need an alarm for tomorrow?" Scott asks sighing.

"We found a girl who was lost 8 years I think our teachers will allow us a onetime skip of school." Lydia says, sitting down on the couch and pulling her shoes off, before pulling the yellow and brown dress she is wearing over her head and lets it drop to the floor next to Scott's shirt.

"Let's hope so." He agrees yawning.

"If we both weren't so dead tired, I'd be so upset now." Lydia chuckles softly, leaning into his side.

"Why?" He asks, rubbing her arm soothingly.

"I'm looking this sexy in my underwear and you aren't even trying to paw at me." She says amused.

The two then lie down snuggled together and pull a blanket over themselves.

"Tomorrow. I will paw and pleasure you all you want, tomorrow." Scott mumbles, closing his eyes.

"Sounds like a great plan." She accepts, the two hugging each other tightly before falling asleep in a matter of minutes.
