Chapter 1: Desire That Trancends Dimensions

Karakura Town, a seemingly normal town located in Japan. While the citizens and their day to day lives seemed average, truth can be stranger than fiction and the truth was, Karakura Town was almost destroyed. To flashback a little, there is a young man named Ichigo Kurosaki, a man who after a chance encounter with a Soul Reaper, a god of death, Ichigo became a substitute Soul Reaper and used his abilities to protect his friends and family. During his adventures, he found himself in conflict with a man named Sousuke Aizen who wished to become a being known as the Soul King, a powerful being capable of changing reality as people know it. Ichigo managed to defeat Aizen, but at high cost. He had sacrificed all of his Soul Reaper powers in order to win and now, he was nothing more than an average teenager and no longer even able to see spirits. Ichigo thought his days of fighting were over, unfortunately for him, his battles were just getting started.

Inside a slightly shady building in Karakura Town was Kisuke Urahara, an ex-Soul Reaper and now a humble candy shop owner. Right now, he was working on a device. The purpose? To give Ichigo his powers back. All of it had started a few weeks ago when he received a message from, seemingly, another universe. It seemed farfetched, but to Urahara, the farfetched was never truly that far. It had occurred one day when he was sitting in his personal laboratory, staring at his computer screen, trying to figure out what to do with his little Ichigo problem. Suddenly his computer screen changed, putting him on alarm. On his screen was... he wasn't even sure what. Whatever it was, it looked like a floating egg wearing a blue cap.

"Hellooooo? Is this thing onnnn?" The egg said as he tapped the screen.

Urahara looked at the strange figure, the way he talked seemingly familiar for some reason. Probably just deja vu.

"Hellooooo there! What can I do for you? Whoever and whatever you are." Urahara replied, deciding to go with a casual reply.

"Ah, so it seems the test worked this time. Hello, person from another dimension, my name is Magolor." The stranger said with an almost showman like performance.

Hidden by his hat, Urahara's eyes hardened.

"Another dimension. I always theorized there was alternate dimensions, just like there are different planes of existence. Just never thought the proof would just appear before me like this." He thought, quickly softening his eyes. "Well, Magolor, my name is Kisuke Urahara, but you can just call me Urahara."

The egg seemed to smile. "Well then hello, Mr. Urahara. If you were able to pick up my signal, you must have some kind of fairly advanced or unusual technology. Usually when I send out messages from the Lor, no one picks up!"

Urahara put his fan to his mouth. "Well, not to brag, but my lab is fairly state of the art." He said, internally smirking that his technology picked up Magolor before fellow scientist and pain in the ass Mayuri's did.

"Oh, that's quite interesting. My Lor is also just as state of the art. Not to brag myself, but it can also travel through dimensions, and I might have upgraded its capacity to do that!"

Thanks to his fan, Magolor wasn't able to see Urahara's face become serious. "Tell me, you seem to be a scientist. Is it your goal to learn about other dimensions?"

"Of course! I specialize in studying dimension traveling and strangely powerful objects! Though the latter I stopped testing on myself years ago, but you don't need to know about thaaat!"

"I see. Then I assume you'd like to learn about my dimension then?"

"Oh, I'd love to!"

"Great! I'd be happy to teach you, under one condition. It's nothing serious so you don't need to worry. I just need you to tell me about your dimension. A fair exchange of information, if you will."

"A fair exchange indeed! Not to brag, but I'm quite sure you'll find my dimension quite interesting!"

"I'm sure I will, but I suppose I'll go first with my explanation. Since you did ask first and all."

"Well, go ahead then!" The mage replied with visible excitement.

The man cleared his throat. "Well to begin, in my dimension there's three main planes of existence. Currently I am in the world of the living, where normal living creatures belong to. Then there's the Soul Society. You may refer to it as an afterlife. Inside the Soul Society are beings known as Soul Reapers, those tasked with overlooking the cycle of life and death, helping dead souls cross over. And if needed, fight Hollows. Hollows are creatures of negativity, born from malice and negative emotions. Hollows come from a world known as Hueco Mundo and Hollows tend to invade the world of the living to feast upon the living. In order to combat them, Soul Reapers fight with Zanpakuto, weapons with living spirits. In fact, I'm actually a Soul Reaper myself. Let me show you... Cry out, Benihime!" With a yell, Urahara's cane transformed into a beautiful sword.

Magolor gave a "hmmm" as if he was thinking about what was said to him. "I see... that is indeed quite interesting. Especially with those Zanpakuto things. I think I might want to study them a bit more in detail." He then gave a shrug. "Well, I guess I should let you know about my dimension. Here, it is common to travel through space and dimensions to various worlds. In this dimension, there exists three kinds of matter: Dark, Soul, Heart, and Dream. But no one has studied much about them. What I have studied though, is the use of magic in this dimension."

He said, summoning a giant sword with his two hands.

"I've also mentioned there are various planets here. The planet I am situated on currently is my absolute favorite of them. It's called Planet Popstar and it's said to be a land of hopes dreams. Though I guess that's obvious since the largest landmass on the continent is called "Dreamland". The name Dreamland apparently comes from the almost magical atmosphere and the Fountain of Dreams. While there seem to be many of these situated throughout this galaxy, this one in particular is responsible for sweet dreams and restful sleep of its residents. It's also extremely peaceful until something from outer space attacks it. That happens more often than you'd think, actually. Thankfully, we have a local hero named Kirby that can take care of them."

"A hero you say? I might want to meet him, maybe show him to our own little hero."

"Oh, I'm sure Kirby would love to meet them. He loves making friends."

"Actually, that gives me an idea." Urahara stated, voice becoming an interesting mix of serious and jovial.

"Oh, let me hear it!"

"Well, our own hero, Ichigo Kurosaki has lost his powers. He used up all of his power to defeat a man named Aizen, who wished to become the ruler of all reality. I wish to give Ichigo his soul reaper powers back and based on what you told me about Dreamland, the energy there might be able to reawaken his powers. So, I propose I make a machine that will send him to you. Ichigo gets his powers back and you get to study a soul reaper firsthand." He explained. "That and a Vizored, but he doesn't need to know about Ichigo being part hollow yet."

"Well, there is a chance that this Ichigo will get his powers back. They do say that Dreamland is the land of miracles after all. It's a deal!"

"Excellent!"

While Urahara had a feeling Magolor was hiding something, he would just have to deal with it. He knew that sometimes working with the shadows was the only way to make results sometimes.

In the current day, Urahara wiped a large amount of sweat off of his face.

"Whew! Finally done. Now, I just need to get Ichigo and we'll all be set."

He then left his shop. Ordinarily he would send a message in some kind of comedic fashion, but in this case, he figured it would be best to take this seriously.

Meanwhile, Ichigo was laying on his bed, staring at the ceiling. It's been three months since he lost his powers and to be completely honest, he wasn't fully over it. He was glad he sacrificed them, if he hadn't everyone he loved would have been dead. But now that he was without his powers, he felt useless. What if Hollows attacked his family? What if a new threat like Aizen emerged? He would be powerless to stop it.

"This must be how Uryu felt." He mused.

Suddenly, he heard a knock on his window. Looking outside he saw Urahara, smiling at him.

"Mr. Hat and clogs? What's up?" He asked, confused as to what the man needed.

"Ichigo. I think I might know of a way to bring back your powers." He said seriously, making Ichigo tense up.

"If you're interested, follow me back to my shop." Urahara said, starting to take off.

Ichigo didn't know what to think. Was Urahara telling the truth? Could he really get his powers back? Should he even get his powers back? What if Urahara was wrong about knowing a way to help? At times like these when he couldn't trust his brain, he did what he did best. He trusts his heart and ran after Urahara.

Upon arriving at the location, Urahara explained everything to the young man. As a result, Ichigo was, for lack of a better phrase, bewildered. Right now, he was talking to an alien egg from another dimension over Urahara's computer.

"...Let me get this straight, Magolor right? Do you really think this Fountain of Dreams can bring back my powers?"

"It's not a guarantee, Ichigo. But there's a chance it will work. And don't worry, I won't send you to Dreamland by yourself." Urahara promised.

Honestly Ichigo had no reason to doubt him. Sure, he was shady at times, but he always did the right thing.

"Would you be coming with me Kisuke?" Ichigo asked.

"Sadly, no. I have to stay here to operate the dimensional hopping machine."

While a bit bummed by this, the youth completely understood this. "Then who'll be coming with me?" He asked.

"That's a silly question, wouldn't you say Kurosaki?" A smug yet friendly voice said from behind him.

Ichigo turned around and smiled. "Uryu, Orihime, Chad! I guess Hat and Clogs already filled you in?"

Uryu responded by pushing up his glasses. "He did and while it sounds like a story out of a fantasy novel, I figured it would be to our benefit to see this Dreamland for ourselves."

"And I want to see this Kirby fellow!" Orihime added, causing everyone to stare silently.

Ichigo then looked at Chad, who just gave him his trademark thumbs up. Truthfully, being surrounded by his friends helped put his thoughts at ease.

"Kisuke, you've tested this machine, right?"

"Oh, ye of little faith. Of course I did. At first, I used apples as test subjects. Then I used semi living test subjects. Namely mod souls."

"Oh, so that's where Kon has been." Ichigo said under his breath.

"And finally, I had Yoruichi be my final test subject and sure enough, she made it there and back safely. So, Ichigo, will you go through with this?"

Ichigo closed his eyes. In the back of his mind, he could hear the voice of his Zanpakuto Zangetsu speak.

"Trust your instincts Ichigo."

He opened his eyes, determination visible in them. "Let's do this."

Urahara smiled. "Alright everyone, step inside this pod I'm standing next to. Once you do that, I'll send you off to Magolor."

The group nodded and walked inside.

"Ichigo, good luck." Urahara whispered so that only he could hear it. The orange haired youth smiled back at him.

"Next stop, Dreamland!" The man yelled, pressing a button. In a flash, Ichigo and others were off a new adventure.

Inside the magical and technologically impressive ship the Lor Starcutter, Magolor patiently waited for this Ichigo person to show up. Suddenly in a flash of light, four unknown figures appeared before him.

"Alright, who is it this time? Hopefully it's nothing like that annoying plush toy. I told him not to touch my gadgets, but nooo, he didn't listen! Does he know how expensive they are and how much time they take to make?" He grumbled as he waited for the figures to fully materialize.

"Well, that's not a warm welcome now, is it? Whatever, the name's Ichigo Kurosaki."

"Oh, so you're the person that Mr. Urahara was talking about, aren't you? He probably told you already but I'm Magolor, and I'm a researcher in dimensional travel and strange items!"

Ichigo looked at the strange egg-shaped creature. "Yeah, nice to meet you."

"Oh, I see you brought some friends, too! Would you care to introduce them to me?"

"Uh yeah sure. This is-"

"I'm capable of introducing myself thank you. I am Uryu Ishida, Quincy."

"I'm Orihime Inoue! Nice to meet you!"

"I'm Yasutora Sado, but most people call me Chad."

"Yes, yes, nice to meet you all." He then turned directly to Uryu. "You, what is a Quincy?"

Uryu already wasn't sure what to think about this Magolor. At least he wasn't trying to dissect him like Mayuri. Yet.

"Quincy's are humans that are able to manipulate reishi, or spirits energy. I use this ability to fight hollows."

"Hmmm? Would you care to demonstrate that? Oh, wait, I got something. Give me a moment, I think I still have that practice dummy that he used in the Copy Ability room somewhere..." Magolor quickly flew off into the depths of the Lor. He soon came back, giving a eye smile. "Ok, test it out on this dummy! It should work if it managed to survive him pummeling it!"

"Him?" Ichigo questioned, but before he could receive an answer, Uryu summoned his bow.

"Oh, the local hero of this planet. I believe he's on his way here now." He then turned his attention to Uryu and his bow. "I assume the arrows are also made out of this spirit energy you talked about?"

"That's right. I can manipulate the size too. So, they can be small, or they can be..." He then fired an arrow that completely obliterated the dummy. "Massive."

"It seems to be much more powerful than the Archer Ability, it seems..." He mumbled to himself, rubbing where his chin would be. "Can you do anything other than shooting arrows?"

In a blink of an eye, Uryu teleported behind Magolor, surprising the magical scientist. "Hirenkyaku."

"I see. This is quite similar to the ESP's teleportation ability." He thought to himself. "Tell me, how are you able to do that? Is it some kind of psychic ability?"

"No, I simply use my spiritual power to move faster than the average eye can see. It's less actual teleportation and more super speed."

"I'll have to check that out on the slow-motion camera later then." Magolor shrugged. "Anything else?"

"Anything else would be too destructive to show off right now." Uryu said in a tone that left no room for discussion. However, Ichigo knew what he was doing, he was deliberating holding back until he knew he could trust Magolor.

"We can easily go to the training room if you want. That place is designed specifically to withstand the detonation of a hydrogen bomb."

"That won't be necessary. Besides we're not here for me, we're here for Ichigo."

"Oh, right, right. I would like to study his abilities if he gets them back as well. They sounded most interesting based on the way Mr. Urahara talked about them."

Ichigo stiffened at that word, if. There was a chance this could fail, but he would just have to take that chance. "Magolor, I promise I'll set you analyze me after I get my powers. So, I hope I can rely on your help in getting it back."

The mage smiled. "Excellent. Now, if you excuse me, I must go check to see if the local hero has arrived. I swear, for someone that was so excited to meet a new person, he's taking quite long..." He walked to the door while mumbling the last part of his sentience as he began to walk outside.

"Smart move, Ichigo. He might be shady, but at least we can count on his help. For now, that is." Uryu complimented Ichigo.

"Thanks. I think I've spent enough time with mad scientists to get an idea on how they operate. The fact that he reminds me of Urahara just made it easier."

The moment he said that, Magolor was practically run over by what appeared to be a hyperactive blob of pink.

"MAGOLORRRR! I'M HEERREEE!" He cried out in his usual cheerful voice. The mage peeled himself off the floor and glared at the puff in annoyance before giving a smile that poorly hid his slight anger.

"...ah, yes, there you are, I was wondering why you were so late even though you sounded so excited when I told you about this."

"Oh, I slept in!" He replied with a timid giggle as he rubbed the back of his head.

The Karakura crew didn't know how to react. When they heard of Kirby, the last thing they expected was an innocent looking...puffball. Ichigo however was the first to snap out of it.

"So, you're the hero I've heard about. I'm Ichigo Kurosaki."

The child smiled. "And I'm Kirby! It's nice to meet you!"

Suddenly, Kirby was scooped up by Orihime, hugging him. "Oh, you're so cute! Ichigo, can we keep him?"

"Orihime he's not a pet." He sighed.

Kirby only smiled and hugged her back. "While I'd love to come visit, I'm sure my mentor wouldn't like me trying to skip out on training!"

While Ichigo was interested in this mentor, he had other things to focus on. "Kirby, did Magolor tell you about my purpose in coming to your dimension?"

"Yup! You're trying to get your powers back, right? While I don't fully understand them, I'll be glad to help you!"

"Thanks, kid. So, this Fountain of Dreams, it's powerful yeah?"

"Yup! I would know! I've used its power myself!"

"Then, do you think it can help me?" Ichigo said, hopefully.

"Hm... it might. It was able to restore some of my Copy Abilities when I lost them on the one adventure I had." He then scratched his head. "If your ability is naturally part of you, then I think it should."

That made the youth more hopeful, since he was born with spiritual power, being the son of a Soul Reaper after all. His powers, while seemingly unnatural at times, were in reality completely natural.

"Oh yeah! I don't think you heard about my power, have you? I can inhale things and copy their abilities!"

That gained the interest of everyone from team Karakura. Despite being in so many crazy scenarios and battles, someone absorbing another creature to gain power was different.

"So, I guess you want to go to the Fountain of Dreams now?" Kirby asked, scratching his head.

"If you wouldn't mind. The sooner I try, the better."

"Yeah, hopefully I can fit you all on the Warp Star."

"Warp star?" Chad asked.

"Well, let's go outside and I'll show you." Kirby said as he ran out the door.

"He's certainly energetic." Ichigo deadpanned.

"Yeah, he kinda reminds me of Yachiru." Orihime added.

Magolor stared at where the puff was. "Well, have fun you guys."

"You're not coming with?"

"I'd love to, but pleaassee understand that I've had a handful of times where people took something they shouldn't have from my ship while I wasn't here or while I was sleep deprived!"

"You should lock your door then!" Kirby called out to him.

Ichigo nodded, that's partly why Urahara usually never leaves his shop. Besides being lazy.

"Well alright then, we'll be back hopefully soon."

"Yes, hopefully with those powers of yours."

"Trust me, I'm getting them back, no matter what." Ichigo said as he left.

As the rest of the group left, Magolor gave a slight grin. "Let's hope that."

Once outside they saw Kirby sitting on a large, floating star. "Well, hop on!" He waved to them.

"Alright." Ichigo said, carefully climbing onto it. Orihime was next, clinging onto Ichigo, making him blush. Next was Uryu and finally Chad.

"Alright, now hang on tight! This thing goes pretty fast!"

"Orihime, hold on tight." He whispered to her.

"S-sure thing, Ichigo."

Almost instantly, the Warp Star sped off at incredible speeds, passing over fields, hills, mountains, and even the sea until they reached the frosty heights of space known as Rainbow Resort, the area that is home to the Fountain of Dreams.

"Had I known it would be this cold, I would have brought a coat." Uryu complained.

"Oh, suck it up, Uryu. It's not that bad."

"You're only saying that because Orihime is still hugging you!"

"Oh, I'm sorry, if I knew you all would be cold, I would've stopped to grab an Ability Item first!"

"You're fine Kirby, it's just Uryu being Uryu."

"Oh, ok!" He simply smiled. "Well, come on, the Fountain of Dreams should be up ahead."

The group continued on, Uryu glaring at Ichigo until he felt Chad put his jacket over him.

"Thank you, Chad."

"Don't mention it."

"Hey, Kirby, what are these ability items you keep mentioning?" Orihime asked.

"They're special items I can inhale to instantly get my Copy Abilities. My sensei usually carries a few on him for our training sessions."

"Ok! Do they taste good?"

"According to a few of my friends, they don't taste good. Trust me, I've seen them try it!"

"Oh, that's too bad. Maybe they will taste good with some wasabi and peanut butter."

"He's tried that, too. He vomited it up immediately."

"Hmm, maybe the wasabi of this world is different from ours?"

"Orihime, I will never understand your tastebuds." Ichigo and Uryu thought at the same time.

"Maybe! Even though I think my sensei said that it's not safe to let other people eat them, especially stuff like the Fire Ability Item."

"Kirby. How far away is the fountain?" Chad asked.

"Five minutes from where we landed. See? We're coming up on it now!" He exclaimed, pointing towards the Fountain of Dreams.

"So that's it. I certainly feel some kind of energy from it." Uryu mentioned.

"Probably the hopes and dreams of everyone in Dreamland."

"Maybe, Ichigo, do you sense anything?"

"No, but hopefully I will soon."

"Maybe if you get closer to the fountain or enter its water."

"I doubt it. I haven't been able to sense any kind of energy ever since losing my powers. I need them back for that."

"Well, you won't know if you don't try, right?"

"We'll see."

They stopped in front of the fountain.

"Do you feel anything yet?"

"Not yet. Should I touch that staff that's in the center?"

"Go ahead!"

Ichigo nodded and slowly walked up to it. The Star Rod, glowing with power right in his reach. As soon as he touched it, magical energy swirled around him, forcefully entering his body.

"Ichigo!" His friends shouted as they heard him scream in pain.

"Don't come close! I can feel it, I can feel this spiritual pressure! It's working, I don't care how much this hurts! I'm seeing it through to the end!"

Kirby scratched his head. "Usually, it shouldn't hurt... is it because he's not from this world...?" He thought with a worried expression.

"It's ok." Orihime said, getting everyone's attention. "Ichigo always fulfills his promises, no matter what. I believe in him."

The puff then smiled. "I trust him, too. I haven't known him for long, but he's my friend, and I always trust my friends!"

"You're very trusting, aren't you?" Uryu asked.

"A lot of people tell me that."

"I see. Well, you're certainly a good judge of character. Tell me, do you think Magolor is trustworthy?"

"Yeah, he's redeemed himself from what he did in the past!"

"And what exactly has he done in the past?"

"It's a really long story~!" Kirby giggled timidly.

Uryu knew he was hiding something about Magolor, but with how earnest the kid was, he didn't want to pry. "Very well. If you think he's trustworthy then I'll accept that answer."

The puff smiled at that reply.

Meanwhile with Ichigo, he was struggling to handle the magical power, but he wouldn't give up. Slowly he reached into his pocket and pulled out a familiar device. The substitute soul reaper pass. Ichigo gripped hard, using it and the memories associated with it as motivation to keep going. Suddenly, reddish-black energy came out of it, surprising even himself. Apparently, a bit of his power was still inside the device, he just couldn't access it... until now that is. The Soul Reaper power from the pass combined with the magic coming from the Star Rod and surged into Ichigo's body. He was consumed by a tornado of magic and once it disappeared, all that remained was Ichigo, now wearing a familiar kimono and wielding a massive sword. Ichigo Kurosaki, Substitute Soul Reaper was back.

Kirby's eyes lit up with sparkles. "Wooooow! Is that what your power is? It looks so coooollll!"

Ichigo smiled and flexed his hand, slowly taking in everything around him.

"Ichigo, can you hear me?" A voice said.

".. Loud and clear, Zangetsu." He smirked. It was official now, his powers were truly back. In fact, they felt better than ever, even stronger than when he fought Aizen. "Must be because of this Fountain." He mused.

"See? I told you it was a place of miracles!"

"You were right about that." He said, falling to his knee suddenly. "Don't worry, I'm fine. Just tired. Kirby, you know a place I can get some food?"

"Yup! I'll take you to my favorite place!" He said, calling the Warp Star over to his side.

"Cool and maybe you can tell us more about yourself. We're friends, right?"

"Sure! What do you wanna know?"

"You're a hero, yet you don't seem to be the fighting type. In fact, I bet you hate fighting. So, why do you fight?"

Kirby silently blinked. "You're right. I rather not fight if I don't have to. But the reason I fight is so I can protect my friends and this planet."

"Is that right? That means we're the same."

The child smiled. "I'm glad to hear that!"

"Yeah. I fight to protect my family and friends. I don't need any other motivation."

Kirby nodded in agreement before turning to Ichigo's friends. "Well, are you going to come with us?"

"We're coming!" Orihime said, somehow picking up both Uryu and Chad with both arms. The moment she hopped on the star, it jetted off.

[Line Break]

A short time later, Kirby landed at the restaurant of Chef Kawasaki.

"I'm surprised the residents of this town don't seem to find our presence that weird. Kirby, does Dreamland have humans?" Uryu asked.

"Yup! One of my friends, Adeleine is one."

"Fascinating. I must say, there's many unique species here. What species are you, if you don't mind me asking?"

"I'm a Star Warrior."

"Oh, does that mean you fight stars? Like how a soul reaper reaps souls? Actually wait, do soul reapers reap souls? Do hollows count as souls?" She wondered.

"...Anyway, are you the only Star Warrior around here?" Ichigo asked.

"Nope! My sensei is one, too!"

"What's he like? Probably strong if he's your sensei."

"Yeah! He's the greatest warrior in the galaxy! He's also really strong and kind of doesn't say too much, but he's actually really nice and patient and really cool! He's the best in the whole universe and he helps me so much and-"

"Ah, I thought you were here, Kirby! Come on in and bring your friends, too!" His rambling was quickly interrupted by Chef Kawasaki.

"Strong but doesn't say much. Sounds like Byakuya. Well, at least it's not another Kenpachi."

"What are you all waiting outside for, come on in!" Kawasaki exclaimed.

"Uh... right. Thank you."

After sitting inside the restaurant and ordering, the group continued their conversation.

"So, what else can you tell us about Meta Knight?"

"He likes swords and has his own battleship and crew."

"His crew? What, is he like a pirate or something?"

"No, he's a knight who helps to protect Dreamland!"

"Ooh, a brave knight! How exciting!" Orihime said, subtly looking at Ichigo for a split second.

"What's his crew like?" Ichigo asked.

"Oh, they're all a bit strict, but I know they mean well. They're also really loyal to him!"

"Loyal and strict. Sounds about right." Ichigo replied, once again thinking about Byakuya and his division. While he certainly wouldn't call Renji a strict Lieutenant, he was definitely a loyal one.

"Do you have a sensei, Ichigo?" Kirby then asked.

Ichigo took a moment to think, getting a sense a deja vu from that question. "I wouldn't necessarily call him my sensei, but there is a man that taught me the basics and is a man I owe a lot to. His name is Urahara, the one Magolor made contact with in the first place."

"What's he like?"

"How to describe him? I guess he's like Magolor but much calmer. And somehow less annoying. He also owns a candy shop and despite seeming lazy, he takes his work seriously."

The child's eyes sparkled as he drooled a bit. "A candy shop!? That sounds amazing!"

"If you asked him, he would say it's very humble."

"Really? But candy is so good!"

"It's just how Urahara talks, always referring to himself as a humble shop owner."

"Well, I'm told that being humble is a good thing." The puff said with a smile.

Ichigo smiled. "Guess you're right Yuz-cough Kirby."

The puff tilted his head. "Yuz?"

"Yuzu, my little sister. You remind me of her somewhat."

"Oh, really? What's the rest of your family like?"

"Karin, my other little sister takes after me. She's very headstrong and foul tempered, but behind all that is a very brave and sweet girl. My dad...is complicated. He's loud, obnoxious, annoying, disruptive, embarrassing and... the best dad I could ask for."

Kirby smiled. "Your family sounds really nice. I wanna meet them some day!"

"Maybe you can." He said, inwardly wondering how he would explain bringing what was essentially an alien with him.

The puff then turned to everyone else in the group. "What about the rest of you guys? What about your families?"

"I live by myself, but I have a nice aunt and uncle!" Orihime answered.

"I also live by myself." Chad answered next.

"Oh, so both of you are like me!" He smiled.

"Oh, you live by yourself too?"

"Yup! Though Meta Knight does come to my house to help me clean once a month, but that's about it."

"Sounds like he cares about you."

"Even if he doesn't fully show it, he definitely does!"

"Totally Byakuya." Ichigo thought to himself.

"Anything else you'd like to know?"

"Who's some other friends that you have?"

"I have a lot of them! There's King Dedede, Bandana, Knuckle Joe, Ribbon, Adeline, Magolor, Rick, Coo, Kine, Nago, Chuchu, Pitch, Chef Kawasaki..." He seemed to go on and on.

"Slow down there, Kirby. Names are good and all, but we'd like to hear about what you think of them."

"Oh, I like all of them and they're my friends! I love my friends!"

"What's a Dedede?" Chad asked.

"He's the self-proclaimed king of Dreamland. He acts like he doesn't care about me or that I'm his rival, but I know he cares about me!"

"Self proclaimed? Is he dangerous?"

"Nope! He just acts like he is! Though he's probably one of the strongest people in Dreamland."

"Has he ever beaten you?"

"He's tried multiple times, but nope!"

"You mentioned someone named Bandana. Who are they and what are they like?" Uryu asked.

"He's Dedede's advisor and one of my closest friends. Despite claiming to be my rival, Dedede doesn't really seem to care that Bandana's friends with me."

"You mentioned earlier that there was a human named Adeleine. What's she like?"

"Oh, she's a painter who can make whatever she paints come to life. She's also really nice."

"Paint magic? She sounds like someone I would like to meet." Uryu stated.

"You sure it's not because she's into arts and crafts?" Ichigo muttered sarcastically.

"Oh, if you have art materials on you, I can show it off! I have a Copy Ability that can let me use her abilities!"

"As if he actually brought-" Ichigo started to say but was interrupted by Uryu bringing out his sewing kit. "Dude, do you bring that everywhere you go!?"

Uryu pushed up his glasses. "You never know when someone will need stitches."

Kirby stared for a moment. "...I guess that will work. You mind if I eat one?"

"Will I get it back?"

"When I'm done, yeah."

"Then do it."

Kirby took one of the needles and inhaled it. Instantly, he gained a paint-covered red beret and a paintbrush. This was the Artist Ability.

"Fascinating. Do you gain hats for every ability?"

"Yup!"

"Where do they come from?"

"I don't know. Meta Knight told me it's natural for Star Warriors."

"Can you demonstrate this ability? After we eat of course."

"Of course!" Kirby replied and dropped the ability, returning the needle to him.

"Thank you. I'm surprised, the food here is very much like the food back in our dimension. Tastes the same too."

"Oh, do you have great food, too?"

"Great is a matter of taste, but yes."

"Oooh, I wanna try some of it sometime!"

"We'll see, Kirby." Ichigo then stood up. "I'll be waiting outside."

"Oh, are you done already?" Kirby asked as if he was unaware of inhaling his food a few minutes ago.

"I'm a fast eater."

"Oh! He he! People say the same thing about me, too!"

"Really? Didn't notice." Ichigo replied sarcastically, walking outside. Once there he took a look around, his eyes setting on a butterfly. "...We'll see each other again soon, Rukia."

Notes:

Hello everyone, this is GundamBailey speaking. This was an idea that both KachiKirby and I really loved and wanted to try. The main reason I'm the one doing the notes is because KachiKirby hasn't gotten to the last arc of Bleach, while I have so I have more knowledge about the Bleach side of things.

Anyway, I hope you all enjoy this little crossover Idea
