"Why did a skeleton have a mechanical beetle?" Nika thoguht as she put the beetle arund her wrist, "Better yet, what is this? A remote?" Nika muttered as she saw some kind of controller in the skeleton's skull.
While the beetle was a weird discovery, Nika had a bigger problem, she couldn't get out of the dome and couldn't even reactivate the crystals outside, the dome did have holes, but she couldn't fit through them, "What do I do..." She wondered before the spirit of the sword talked "The beetle you just found master, you can control it with the remote."
Nika didn't think about it at all, the beetle had wings, so it was capable of flight, the problem was learning how to use it, "Hopefully it doesn't need to be recharged..." Nika joked before pressing a button on the remote, causing the beetle to take off from her wrist, "Seems to work." Nika thought as she directed the beetle to one of the holes, "Wait, where is it-" Nika realized the problem, but a screen turned on on the remote, showing the beetle's sight, "Oh okay..." She said.
Being able to see what the beetle saw helped a lot as Nika made it hit the crystal outside, she expected it to fall, but instead it returned to her wrist on it's own, "This is way too useful" Nika smiled while getting out of the dome.
Looking around, Nika saw a another crystal on the ceiling of the room, she used the beetle once more to activate it, this caused another door to be unblocked, "I wonder what else this thing can do... The mandibles are pretty sharp, maybe it can cut ropes and such." Nika thought as she crossed the door, and there was water.
"Damnit." Nika cursed as she tried avoiding stepping in it, she managed to do so and reached another door, this led to a room with three eyes that kept a gate locked, "Again? Okay" Nika said as she stretched to hit all the eyes, making the gate open, behind it was a chest with a small key inside.
Nika went back to the large room where she saw another door that was locked, but it was over a cliff, and the only thing connecting to the other side was a rope, "Shouldn't be that-" Before she could finish her thought, a bunch of plants with mouths dropped from the ceiling above the cliff, "-Hard, well, any time is good to test the sharpness theory" Nika thought as she used the beetle to try and cut the plants down, succeding in doing so.
After having crossed the cliff, Nika opened the door, and walked down the corridor it lead to, at the end of it, was a room larger than the previous one, and with a seemingly bottomless fall over once again a rope.
"*Sighs* Never going to have a joy in a temple am I?" Nika muttered as she noticed a large door with a weird lock on it, "What kind of lock is that? And what key could possibly fit there!?" Nika lamented before noticing an ornate chest behind steel bars, "Maybe it's in there..." Nika thought, trying to stretch her leg to step over the wall "I wonder what caused this damage, well, I don't want to meet it that's for sure!" Nika laughed.
She took the weirdly shaped key out of the chest and was about to walk over the rope that connected the two sides of the room, but noticed two monsters on the other side, "I don't want to deal with that..." Nika thought before activating the beetle and making it go over to the monsters, Nika was thinking to knock them out, but she didn't expect the mto run away when they saw it.
"Not what I was planning, but it works too." Nika commented, amused by the monsters. With them out of the way, she was able to get over the rope and to the door, where she had a bit of problems to open it, but managed to in the end.
She walked through the door and entered a room, which didn't seem to serve any purpose other than being there, "Why was this necessary?" Nika thought outloud, "Because I'll use it!" a voice responded from the other side of the room.
Nika looked over and saw a really pale guy wearing a cloak and skin tight clothes, "Who the hell are you and how did you get in here!?" Nika questioned the stranger, "Oh where are my manners! I'm Ghirahim, the Demon Lord."
"...Who?" Nika asked, not realizing that Ghirahim was offended by that, "Of course you ignorant mongrel wouldn-" He was saying, but got interrupted by a Savage Blow to the face by Nika, "Who are you calling mongrel? Mongrel." Nika mocked, knowing she dealt damage to his pride.
Ghirahim looked incredibly mad as he held the cheek that was hit, "Do you have any idea how that made me feel inside? Furious! Outraged! Sick with anger! This turn of events has left me with a strong appetite for bloodshed." He exclaimed as he tossed his cloack away and got into a battle stance.
Demon Lord Ghirahim.
He had the first move, snapping his fingers to summon a line of floating knives in front of him, then by waving his and toward Nika, launching them at her. It only took a second for Nika to react, using her sword to deviate the knives before dashing to Ghirahim, gettin ready to strike, but didn't expect him to use his hand to catch it.
"How-" Nika was about to ask, but Ghirahim pulled the sword out of her grasp and threw it away, making it get stuck in a wall, "I can see I need to step up my game..." Nika thought as she stretched both her arms back and exclaiming "Blaiser Impact!" Before letting them sling back against Ghirahim chest, cleary stunning him and Giving Nika enough time to get her sword back.
In the time it took for Nika to take her sword back, Ghirahim gained back his senses, and summoned a sword this time, "I guess I can't hold back on you anymore, can I!?' Ghirahim yelled as he dashed in a similar way Nika did, only to be clocked by Nika's sword and making him lose his balance, allowing Nika to get a few slices in.
The grunts of pain Ghirahim was letting out were enough to confirm he could get hurt, "So you're not as strong-" Nika's mockery was interrupted by Ghirahim laughing, "I fear I spent far too long teasing and toying with you. The girl's presence has all but faded from this place, which means there's no reason to linger here. Good-bye, sky child. Run and play this time. Get in my way again, though, and you're dead." That's the last thing he said before teleporting away.
"I doubt he'll just go away without making noise..." Nika thought before crossing the last door of the temple, and... Full of water... "Fuck my life, not really." Nika said as she noticed a crest that looked similar to the one that was inside the Goddess statue.
The obvious course of action was the same as before, she striked it with the vibrating sword and a note came out, "Again?" Nika asked as she reproduced the note with her sword and in the distance she could see another portal open in the sky.
"Back to the sky I guess." Nika guessed as she started making her way out of the temple.
