Looking over the map, it was obvious that the robot gave Nika a map of what the desert used to be, it helped a lot more than she thought actually, it revealed were the walls of the structure around what was revealed to be the Mining Facility were, letting Nika walk on their still present foundations, of course, stretching her arms also helped climb the walls and arrive at where her first stop was.
"So... I need to activate the generators before putting the combination on this thing..." Nika thought out loud as she looked at the incredibly complex lock, "The first one I should go for is the lightning generator, it's the closest after all..." Nika rationalized as headed north to find that the entrance was blocked off by sand.
Thankfully the map revealed that the entrance was there, so Nika just placed a bomb there blowing up the sand and letting her in.
Inside the first building was a lot of sand and a few electric crab things she saw outside, "These things are so weird..." She commented before checking the notes, "To activate the generators, first you need to power the sockets with electricity." She read outloud, but something was off, "I need to power the generators?" She thought, but brushed it off, the bigger problem was the sand, there was way too much.
A bit of thinking made Nika realize she needed a time stone so she asked the sword spirit "Hey, is there a time stone in this room?", the spirit took a moment to answer, but eventually replied "There is one in the middle of the room.", in the middle of the room there was a pile of rocks and the first thing that came to Nika's mind was blowing it up, revealing the time stone.
After Nika struck it with her sword, the sand in the room disappeard and the crabs turned back into... Eggs? She thinks they're eggs at least and these eggs were releasing electricity aswell, "This must be it." Nika said as she activated the upgraded beetle, sending it to collect an egg and there it was in it's sack, somehow not short circuiting, "What do you know, it actually works." Nika commented in amusement, she then led the beetle to what appeard to be the socket and had it spit the egg out in the open slot.
The electricity powered the socket causing a gate to open and behind it was the first generator, "So wait, the electricity is supposed to let people through? And it actually works?" Nika questioned no one in particular, but it didn't matter that much, she went to the generator and inserted her sword into the dial, allowing her to turn it and activate the generator.
"One down two to go." Nika counted as she crossed the first one off the map, she then decided to go to the second building, it wa easy to reach it her elastic power, and she got in, it was the same sight again, sand and in the middle once more was a time stone.
When she struck it however, the sand was gone, the crabs turned into eggs, and a GIANT PIT FALL THAT COMPOSED ONE THIRD OF THE ROOM WAS REVEALED, "Who the hell made this place!? I'm not an architect, but damn it! This can't be safe! Even for robots!" Nika lamented and when she calmed down, she had the beetle collect one more egg and placed it in the slot, the gate opened and once again, she turned the dial, activting the second generator.
Nika took out the map and crossed this generator too, now only the last one was left, but it was different, there wasn't a building noted on the map, "Did they forget to put it on?" Nika muttered, getting out of the building, she looked in the direction of where the generator was supposed to be, and nothing, just uneven ground, no mound that seemed to cover an entrance, no button to open a hidden door, on top of the sand there wasn't a structure.
"Where is the generator?" Nika thought, there were three generators signed, it didn't make sense, the only thing that showed even a bit of man made influence in that point were three statues, but one of them seemed to have fallen down from the wall and behind it was a time stone, this made her think "Maybe it's behind those?"
Getting closer, she stepped on the fallen statue to avoid sinking in the sand, she pace her fingers between the wall and the statue and started to pry them apart, she managed to do so, and behind it was the generator, she activated the time stone and turned the last generator's dial, activating it, the last thing to be done was put the code in.
She arrived back at the machine, but... What was the code? The only thing the notes said is 'check the map' and there isn't even a single number on it, there must have been a mistake, and there are still things that haven't been answered, why was this weird structure built? Why were there so many walls?
The map showed that the strucutre was once a lot more intricate, but this didn't really explain why, but something caught her eye, the generators were pointed out on the map as a lightning bolt, a flame and a water drop, the same symbols that were on the machine's dials, and taking a better look at the map, it looked like the dial and the symbols were located at the edges of the structure.
"The map is litteraly the combination!?" Nika exclaimed before trying to turn th dials of the machine in the position the symbols were on the map, and... It worked! The Mining Facility rose from the center, old and tattered as it was, it was the only way forwardif the what the robot said was true.
She climbed the stairs and looked at the entrance, the only thing left to do, is enter, and finally get this adventure over with.
