"They're here! They're here!" Hawkeye shouted as he heard a knock at the door.

With a chuckle, Daniel stood up and went to the door with his son. "You've been on edge all morning waiting for that knock, haven't you?"

"Are you kidding? I've been waiting for months to see my best friend and his family, and now they're finally here!" He exclaimed as he opened the door.

BJ, Peg, and little Erin were all waiting on the other side of the doorframe as Hawkeye cheerfully ushered them to come inside.

"Come in! Come in!"

The three Hunnicuts gladly walked inside and sat down their bags by the door. BJ smiled and looked fondly at his old comrade.

"Hawkeye..."

Hawkeye could barely contain his excitement, and with a swift movement of his arms he quickly engulfed BJ with a tight hug.

"Awww Beej!! It's been months!" He gave BJ one final pat on the back before letting go of the embrace. "I've missed you ol' pal! How've you been?"

"Terrific!" He replied with his usual white toothy grin. "How are you holding up?"

"Great! Couldn't be better now that you're here!"

BJ turned to his wife and smiled, "Hawk, I'd like you to meet Peg, I've told her an awful lot about you," he said with a smirk.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Hawkeye," Peg said, shaking Hawkeye's hand.

"And this here," BJ said, pointing to the little girl clinging to Peg's skirt, "is Erin. Can you say hello to Uncle Hawkeye?"

"Hi..." Erin said shyly.

Hawkeye bent down and gave her a gentle pat on the head. "Well it is most certainly a pleasure to meet you, little miss! From the pictures your daddy showed me a while back you've been growing like a weed!"

Erin giggled, "I'm tall just like daddy!"

BJ smiled, "You sure are, sweetheart."

Hawkeye grinned, "Well why don't you all come get settled in! We've got lunch cooking and I'm sure you'll love the famous Pierce casserole!"
