For instance if one of you were to learn fire techniques a tag team attack of wind and fire would be devastatingly effective

The twins excitedly wonder all the possibilities with stars in their eyes visibly buzzing with excitement

I'm a Leo so I'm a Fire type but I can already control lightning

Yes I remember very impressive you must do alot of meditating since it takes extreme concentration to channel lightning

The short swords are for the twins you guys both have high energy and are able to move very fast without lightning reinforcement so I thought they be a good fit for you guys

Besides the fact that you'd probably cut yourselves moving that fast with full size blades

The two katanas are for you guys red and black scabbard is for saiori and the gold and black ones is for JinSol

Now theses sword aren't the best qualities it's just something to start with so don't go crazy

Alright let's get to work

The group practices very hard night and day for the next 4 months growing stronger and closer as a team until they are summoned for their first mission out of the zaltak capital city

Alright guys it's time for your first real mission now it's kill or be killed Tenzo said in a icy tone sending a chill up the spines of everyone present

Seeing the apprehension in his team Tenzo decides to break the ice

Whoa I scared myself a little bit with that one chuckling and scratching the back of his head this earned a sigh of relief and some laughs from the group

Seeing that the tension is broken Tenzo proceeds. The mission is to protect a convoy from bandits the destination is not far out of the kingdoms limits a village called Elm there's not a large threat of danger and I also have my own mission so I can't join you guys

Aww no fair our mission sounds boring can I come with you what's your mission Renji begs

Oh my mission it's nothing too exciting really just a standard assassination don't leave a trace but me I like to leave it bloody Tenzo says nonchalantly

Earning disturbed looks from the group

Oh come on I was joking

sure you were Tenzo the group says with deadpanned expressions

Alright that's enough of that let's get serious

This is you guy's first mission and maybe first time out of the capital city without an adult

I want you guys to be vigilant and watch out for each other, don't split up and watch what you say lastly if you do get in a fight and the opponent out classes you do not take the chance in fighting them it may cost your life.

Now since we got that out the way safe travels

Tenzo flickers away in a burst of speed

The entire team nods in agreement

Walking back to the Zaltak capital

Well that was boring JinSol said

no kidding 6 hours walking without a break saiori said

Yeah well at least the pay was good im gonna get a better sword when we get back

The group continues not noticing a small group of 3 bandits picked up on their conversation pegging the group for easy pickings

Hey something feels a little bit off JinSol says worriedly

Renji turns to JinSol to reply only to see the glint of a throwing knife headed towards the group

Everyone duck Renji shouted

Ha so you brats actually do have some skill that knife was perfectly aimed to strike anyone of you in the head a instant death , no matter you'll all be dead soon the bandit said aloud

What do you mean it's 4 of us and 1 of you Renji said cockily

2 more bandits appeared from atop of nearby trees

Not exactly kid the bandit replied

Seems like we're in for a fight Renji said while he unsheathed his blade

Luci watch my back Renji said rushing towards his target

Right !! Luci shouted while rushing to follow her brother into battle

You ready Sol saiori asked

Yeah im ready

Good I'll take the lead lay down some cover fire with your scatter shot saiori said before rushing into the fight

Sol shot off 4 consecutive scatter shots before following saiori into battle

Jumping over saiori into a kick to his opponents chest knocking the wind out of him JinSol immediately gets the upperhand in his fight and knocks out the bandit

Before turning to join saiori in her fight JinSol hears the blood curdling scream of Luci screaming her brothers name JinSol rushes only in time to see Luci take a similar blow to the head as Renji leaving the twins on the ground with pools of blood beginning to surround their heads

This can't be happening JinSol said to himself turning back in Saiori's direction to see her pulling her sword from her opponent's chest feeling relieved JinSol engages his next opponent in battle

in speed and maneuvering it seemed that they were evenly matched but JinSol's opponent was a lot physically stronger than himself

Saiori joining the sword clash tips the scales in terms of strength forces the bandit on his back foot until the bandit mumbles quietly

Taurus earth style rock pillar then slammed his foot into the ground that shot 2 rock pillars into both Saiori and JinSol's chins Knocking them both back JinSol rushed back in despite being dazed while Saiori stays back

The bandit noticing the weak points rushes towards JinSol

JinSol readies his blade to swing but when in range the bandit suddenly changes direction headed straight towards Saiori who is still suffering from the stun

JinSol sees this and in this moment is overcome with fear and the thought of losing his first true friends JinSol blitzes forward runs faster than he's ever moved in his life appearing in front of Saiori intending to tank the sword strike with his own blade

The bandit surprised at JinSol's incredible speed channels a lightning technique into his sword intending on skewering the two young teens

To his surprise the boy seemed to show more strength only to be proven futile when the lightning covered blade slowly cut throw his sword and into his shoulder leaving the arm useless

Saiori watching the fight horrified believing JinSol was going to die in front of her for the second time

JinSol notices and bolsters his resolve watching for his opponent to engage again seemingly completely out of options with a useless arm and a broken sword JinSol was determined he and his friends were not going to die

The bandit finally made his move blitzing ahead , JinSol suddenly had the idea to channel his chi into his broken blade to strengthen what's left not having done this before JinSol gets a result he didn't expect

Rushing to gather the chi to strengthen his weapon JinSol actually taps into Ki

Instead of reinforcing his blade like he expected a blade of ki extended out of the hilt of his sword shocking the bandit who tried to stop but was too late as JinSol began his devastating assault on the remaining bandit beginning with a reverse grip slash cutting off both arms and puncturing lungs leaving the bandit heaving on the ground coughing blood before promptly dying

JinSol trudges to saiori with a worried look beginning to ask if she was hurt before he passed out at Saiori's feet

Saiori rushes to take care of JinSol's injuries before checking on Renji and Luci finding their heads were hurt badly but not life threateningly bad

While waiting hours for one of her teammates to wake up saiori thinks back to the strange power jin used getting lost in thought Luci wakes up and rushes to her brothers side also waking him up when they both turn to see how badly hurt JinSol is the both pale and blame themselves for getting in over their heads and putting the team in danger and left JinSol and saiori to fight alone

Determined to get their friend to a hospital the team takes off with JinSol piggyback on Renji running as fast as he could

While asleep JinSol awakes in his dream to see two silhouettes floating above him

Only being able to make out the eyes of the silhouettes

one gazes upon him as if he was a son or relative of the specter

While the other gazes upon him with what seems to be malice and contempt

JinSol finally speaks up

Where am I and who are you two

The two specters proceeded to introduce themselves

Wait zaltak as in zaltak empire your a ancestor to the king why are you haunting me JinSol said while taking a few steps backwards

Yes he is an ancestor of the current king and so am I for zaltak is my twin brother Solaris stated but we are simply guides to support your destiny to save the world

There is a prophecy that speaks of a child born of the sun JinSol you are the child of this prophecy and you will have a large roll in shaping the world for future generations. A lot has happened to you which in turn delayed the prophecy but that ends now

we cannot tell you of your true heritage for that is something I have no knowledge of myself but I can tell you that you possess the same archaic powers of myself and my brother. JINSOL YOU ARE THE SUN!!!!

In an intense flash JinSol wakes up to the intense white light and sickeningly fresh smell of antiseptic products used to clean hospital rooms

The bright light and unnaturally fresh smell of sanitary products suddenly snapped JinSol awake. Bleary eyed and dizzy JinSol is very confused and in pain Noticing a ball of sheets at the foot of his bed he reaches to pull them over himself only to find Saiori asleep using the foot of the bed as a pillow

Shocked this causes JinSol to recall what happened on their mission to leave him like this

While thinking about the mission JinSol recalls that he made a sword come out of his broken blade but what the world was that power I'll have to ask master pakkun or Tenzo if they know anything about it

While lost in thought saiori begins stirring waking up

Sol your finally awake I was so worried

Saiori rushed to his bed side embracing Sol with a crushing hug

Yeah I'm okay just a little sore but can you loosen the hug a little Sol says while chuckling

Hearing the commotion a nurse comes to the door seeing JinSol is awake and notifies the doctors

Doctors rush into the room to run diagnostics on JinSol

I'm sorry sweetie your gonna have to wait outside the room while the doctors work on your boyfriend the nurse says

Oh no he's not my boyfriend saiori says with a blush creeping onto her face

The nurse gives saiori a knowing look

Hey Saiori what's happening 2 voices could be heard screaming down the hallway

Saiori turning around sees Renji and Luci full on sprinting towards her

We saw the doctors running this way and got worried Luci said

Sol is awake now the doctors should be out soon

The nurse comes out of JinSol's room approaching the group

JinSol is expected to make a full recovery but needs to stay for 2 more days so he needs you to get him a few things from his dorm in the barracks here's the list of items the nurse says handing the paper to saiori

his roommate Renji won't be released until tomorrow and should still be in bed the nurse says dangerously while she stares daggers at the twins

And your his girlfriend so you'll get used to this

Frozen at the bold assumption of the nurse Saiori begins to retort but is swiftly cut off

Luci squeals in excitement So when we're you gonna tell

quiet down Luci he'll hear you saiori says with her face fully red from embarrassment

were not dating the nurse is making assumptions

Aww really you guys would be so cute together Luci says

Renji listening to the conversation takes note of Saiori's reactions

Okay well I guess I should get going

Saiori takes off headed to JinSols dorm room to gather the items he asked for

After getting there and finding everything failrly easily the last item on the list was the old book. After examining it and flipping through pages confirming she has no idea what the book is.

Wow Sol is a bit of a nerd I never would've thought he would be into ancient literature

While sliding the book into her bag saiori notices on the dresser in sol's room theres a box with a zodiac lion pendant

This is very high quality this would make Sols fire attacks so much more powerful if he brought this maybe he wouldn't have gotten hurt

She then notices the tag attached to it revealing that it's from him addressed to her

Seeing that this is a gift for her from JinSol Saiori puts it back and leaves with what she came for feeling embarrassed for snooping

Getting back to the hospital Saiori drops off

JinSol's clothes and books while JinSol layed asleep in his hospital bed

Saiori POV

Walking closer to his bed side with each step feeling the heat get more intense with each step

Why is it so hot in here Saiori says to herself as she reclaimed her seat by his bed side

Watching as JinSol slept he finally took a long deep breath and let out the long breath but to Saiori's surprise a small fireball crackled and hissed out afterwards the breath

Jumping to her feet saiori rushes to get a temperature check on him because casually breathing fire in your sleep was anything but normal

Engrossed in her current task saiori didn't notice when JinSol had awaken

Thanks for taking care of me this whole time Saiori I was out for a long time JinSol says tiredly

Saiori smiled appreciating his thanks ,How'd you know I was here saiori asked

I don't know I could just feel your presence and I knew I was gonna be okay

Saiori blushed and turned her head trying to hide the embarrassment, yeah what are friends for I'll always be right there with you to back you up

Regaining her composure Saiori proceeds to interrogate JinSol

What do you remember from the mission after the fight started

Well I remember Renji and luci going down then the bandit went for you while you were stunned and after that I'm drawing a blank JinSol stated

Saiori presents JinSol with the broken half of his sword , does this bring back any memories the bandit cut through it and gave you that gash on your chest and neck what were you thinking almost getting yourself killed Saiori says with irritation lacing her voice

JinSol whips around to defend himself and face Saiori why wouldn't I have what kind of teammate would I be

Catching the look of worry on Saiori's face JinSol stops in his tracks seeing how it upset Saiori and apologizes

Reaching out to grab her hand

Saiori I'm sorry I'll be a lot more careful next time I just couldn't stand to watch my friends get hurt and besides you're my best friend I'll be fighting with you for a long time on and off the battlefield JinSol said while laughing lightly

Embracing JinSol in a tight hug Saiori begins to cry. Just please don't scare me like that again.

I promise Saiori you have my word

With this the pair sits in comfortable silence in a warm embrace until the duo falls asleep

The next morning

Wow you guys are really cute together Luci says waking the duo up

Stirring awak Saiori sees Luci and smiles them notices Renji standing off to the side

Renji what are you doing in my room get out you creep

What are you taking about this is JinSol's hospital room

Taking a look around Saiori realizes he's right

She then looks down to see that she slept overnight in the same bed with JinSol and Luci and Renji seen the entire scene

I thought you guys weren't dating Luci drags Saiori's out of the room by her ear , now you have to spill the beans for lying to me

After walking far enough away the interrogation starts

So how long and when Luci says sternly

It's really not like that Luci I promise Saiori pleads

That's not what I seen just now so just tell me

Okay fine I'll tell you Saiori's said defeated

We're not dating but I really do like Sol but we have a bit of a history before the team Saiori said nervously

Wow so you've had this crush since you were kids

No Saiori said red faced , Luci gives her a knowing look , okay yes since we were kids but that doesn't matter

Please don't tell him Luci it's embarrassing and I know he just sees me as a friend I don't want to make it awkward between us if you promise me that I'll tell you everything

Deal Luci says with stars in her eyes

Dude you are the man how long have you guys been dating Renji says bluntly

Dating what are you talking about i don't think she likes me like that JinSol stated

Oh you think so, how come Luci and I found you and Saiori cuddled up this morning

This caught JinSol by surprise, I thought I was dreaming that was real a trickle of blood escape his nostril

Well do you like her because it's pretty obvious she really likes you

This caught JinSol off guard , do you really think so? Renji nods his head affirmatively I guess the only one who doesn't know are the both of you how sad is that Renji says while laughing at his friends misfortune

I suggest you two spend some time together while you finish healing and practice together

Hearing the door open JinSol is greeted with a red faced Saiori and a satisfied looking Luci following behind

Hey guys have a good talk Renji says smiling evilly

Oh shut up Renji Luci says

Saiori walking to JinSol's bed side steels her resolve not to act like an idiot but before she can speak hears the last thing she expected

Hey Saiori do you maybe want to get a meal together after I get out of here JinSol said

Not being able to respond in words Saiori nervously nodded in agreement and smiled brightly

Renji nudged JinSol, see I told you, JinSol surprised that it worked smiles back to Saiori
