I finished my own Original Story, it is entirely free and on Wattpad. Check it out, Destiny Rebellions- A Queen's Champion... if you love A Mortal's Might you'll love it. It was inspired heavily by that story and this one. Please check it out and tell me if you love it. I will be publishing it one day, so check it out before I pull it off of Wattpad.

"What?" Rooku smiled at Kakashi Hatake, who was a tall thin man with grey spiky hair, a mask and his headband over his left eye. "You just graduated and you managed to get past the first rank of Medical training in just a month?" The man looked at him with a smile." Very impressive."

"Thank you, Sir." He bowed softly. "I try and I hope to prove myself during this mission."

"I am sure you will be." Turning to his team, he nodded. "Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura I am sure you know Rooku?" They all nodded and so he turned to an older man, their client. "Tazuna, this is Rooku, he is a medic ninja in training. He has shown enough skill that he has already passed the first stage of medical training, allowing him to come and act as partial support. The application of just a single Medic has a habit of doubling the success of any single mission, so we are very lucky to have a medic on our team today."

Flushed, Rooku bowed low to everyone. "I hope to help you all as much as I can." He barely managed to mask his nerves, which were screaming in terror at the idea of going into the field. He could just hope that he had enough skill to be helpful...

As one, they started to walk out of the village gates when Naruto, annoying Naruto, bellowed out with a raised fist. "YEAH! Alright!"

Naturally, it was Sakura who replied. "What are you getting so excited about Naruto?"

"This is the first I have ever left the village, I'm a traveler now believe it!"

Rolling his eyes, Rooku sighed. "It is exciting Naruto, but now is not the time. Decorum is needed on a mission, remember you represent the village on every mission." Naruto pouted, making Rooku laugh. He never thought much of Naruto, but he could be funny at times and kind of cute.

They started walking then and it was only when they reached about three miles away from the village that Rooku noticed something odd. A puddle, in the middle of the road... his medical training, which focused on noticing signs and symptoms outside the norm, kicked in. 'Why is there a puddle, is hasn't rained in weeks... and it's actually been rather hot lately... so why... this has to be a genjutsu or some sort of jutsu.' Turning, he looked at Kakashi, who nodded slowly, his eye serious.

"""

Kakashi was impressed but not surprised, Medical Ninjas were taught to be observant, it was a huge part of their job, it would have been more shocking if the boy did not notice the puddle. He was sort of disappointed that his team did not notice it, but so was life. Looking at Rooku, he put a finger to his lips. The boy frowned but nodded, unlike Kakashi's team he knew to listen to his captain.

So, the boy was not too shocked when the two men jumped from the puddle and threw their chain around Kakashi, tearing him to shreds... or at least, the log he replaced himself with.

Sakura screeched, Naruto gasped his name, Sasuke looked determined.

In an instant the attackers rushed behind Naruto, ready to bind him but before they could, Sasuke pinned their chain to a tree with ease while landing on their claws, using them for leverage to kick each of them in the face. They severed their chains in that instant. As they flew back, both recovered in an instant due to sheer training and force of will. One rushed to Tazuna who was quickly guarded by Sakura, the other towards Naruto who froze in shock.

Rooku, the medic of all people, tackled Naruto to the ground, popped up and ran through handsigns before slamming his hands into the ground. "Earth style-Mudslide Jutsu!: A simple C rank jutsu, it turned the ground beneath the attacker into sheer mud so thick it made the man slide and trip up, giving Rooku the chance to kick him in the face and send him back. The man recovered instantly and moved with claw ready to kill.

'I've seen enough.'

With a fraction of his speed, Kakashi collected both attackers in his arms, saving Tazuna and a doomed Sakura all at once.

"Hi." He said. And it was clear that everyone was stunned, even the immovable Sasuke. "Naruto, sorry I didn't help you right away, I didn't mean for you to get hurt but I didn't think you'd freeze like that." His eyes moved to Rooku, who was shaking. "That jutsu was well executed, you sure you want to be a medic?" Then he moved to the others. "Good job very smooth. You too, Sakura."

Rooku frowned. "Fight or Flight is a human response to stress, Naruto's never been in battle so he froze. I only moved to protect Naruto, it is part of my medical training to get over my Fight or Flight response. We are trained to act in crisis, something the academy never taught us."

Kakashi turned to him for a moment. "A good fair point... There is no shame in that Naruto, just do better and be better. Simple as that...Your very lucky though, if Rooku hadn't interfered you would have been in serious trouble. There is poison on these Ninja's claws." Naruto went white at that moment. "By the way Mr. Tazuna, we need to talk."

It was Tazuna's turn to look scared.

It took only minutes for Kakashi to scold the man for lying to them and revealing the scope of the mission to be B rank at the least...

And only a minute longer for Naruto to whine. " Come on, we can do this! I won't freeze any more believe it! I swear!"

Kakashi just sighed. "Very well, I do believe we are going to continue with this mission."

And so they went, moving on leaving their attackers tied to a tree to be arrested later onwards on a mission way above their paygrade to a land where they very well may die...

Poor Rooku could not help but look at Kakashi, stunned he would let them continue when this was so far above their skill level. 'This is so far beyond our paygrade, even with me a medic on this team... 'Shaking he turned inward, and focused on what he could work on. 'I can't believe that Mudslide jutsu worked. I knew it was the perfect defensive jutsu, it slips up my enemy and gives me enough time to actually do something. I do not have Tsunade's super strength, so a defensive and supportive jutsu like that works perfectly...'

Sighing, he focused back on the mission, hoping it would not get too much harder from this point on... he wasn't sure he'd survive it if it did. As it was he got lucky when fighting that Mist Ninja... who knew if he could do it again.

Chapter end, tell me what you think in the reviews.

This was so much fun to write. He is stronger than Naruto, but not as powerful as Sasuke by any means... he is average with a single ace... that's it.

Love, your Ninja Overlord,

Mika.
