"NO, THIS CAN'T BE!" Yamai slammed the door to her apartment room shut. She was jealous, fuming, and a whole bunch of other negative feelings that were tearing at her from all sides.
"This is impossible! Their relationship shouldn't be progressing… this fast!"
She felt her hopes dwindle. Every day she had been attempting to seek out an opportunity, an open door, for her to get Tadano and Komi to break up and to take Komi for herself.
The hype of the TadaKomi relationship had gone down, but not all was according to plan. The couple seemed more glued together than ever before.
Yamai sighed deeply as she looked up at the sloppy collages of Komi plastered across her walls.
"Oh… Queen Komi… how can I make you mine…?"
She needed a new plan. At this point she probably didn't care how badly it might go. As long as she got Komi, it was all that mattered.
Bzz!
Her phone rang. She went to pick it up and saw that it was a text from Shigeo Chiarai.
Chiarai: Any luck so far?
Yamai smiled a little. How could she forget that the Church of Komi had sworn to help her in the conquest to break up the TadaKomi relationship?
Yamai: No, not at all.
Chiarai: Well, that sucks. Do you have any sort of plan?
Yamai: Not as of now.
Chiarai: Hm, alright.
Yamai: Why the sudden text though?
Chiarai: Well, I was hoping you had a plan to deal with them. Guess we need to go back to the drawing board, huh.
Yamai: What do you mean, 'go back to the drawing board'?
Chiarai: Well, Sonoda and Shinobino were hoping you had an idea of some sort, so that we could assist you. If that's the case, then we'll continue thinking of a solution.
Yamai: Wait, a solution?
Chiarai: Yeah, we want to get the two to break up, don't we? We can't have ordinary loser Tadano dating our Queen.
Yamai: Of course. So you guys are coming up with solutions to deal with it?
Chiarai: Heck yeah. We've gone over multiple options, all in one google document.
Yamai: May I have a look at this document?
Chiarai: Sure, let me send it to you…
Chiarai:
Yamai: Those are some… interesting options… Why is killing him one of those though?
Chiarai: Oh, we got desperate at some point…
Yamai: Haha… I hope we never have to resort to that.
Chiarai: Obviously. We don't want one of us to get a criminal record now, do we?
Yamai: Yeah, but if we have no choice… That will be our last resort then.
Chiarai: I agree. But I honestly do hope we never have to use it.
Chiarai: Anyway, I have to go now. Sonoda, Shinobino and I are off to the arcade. Enjoy the rest of your day!
Yamai: Have fun. Get a plan sorted out and tell me once you got it, alright?
Chiarai: Definitely.
She placed her phone on her nightstand, then smiled to herself. With the Church behind her, Tadano would stand no chance…
"You had better watch your back… Mister Chudano… Soon enough you'll find out that being with Queen Komi will be nothing more than one of your petty delusions!"
"Achoo!"
Slowly, Tadano opened his eyes as he awoke from his slumber.
Man, it feels cold…
He felt something to his left and instinctively went to grab and snuggle against it. But then it let out a little squeak.
"Huh…? Wha… AHH!"
He had turned to see the beet-red face of his girlfriend, and then realised he was snuggling her a little too intimately.
"S-SORRY…! I… I-IT WAS AN A-ACCIDENT, I S-SWEAR!"
He had also almost forgotten he was having a sleepover at her place.
"I.. It's alright! I… d-don't blame you…"
The couple blushed and looked away.
"Achoo!" Tadano sneezed again.
Komi's immediate reaction was to press the back of her palm against Tadano's forehead.
"S-Shouko…?"
She blushed and retracted her hand.
"Sorry… I was c-checking if you had a fever…"
"Oh, I don't feel sick though…"
"B-but… you have… been sneezing… a lot…"
"Probably someone mentioning my name or thinking about me a lot…"
Komi's eyes widened a little. He realised what he meant by saying it.
"Ah, wait! I don't mean the latter as in…!"
She didn't respond verbally but threw her arms around him.
"Y-you… can only… think about me…"
She blushed. He blushed.
"O-of… course. I only think about you, Shouko…"
If only Tadano knew that the former was true.
If only.
