Hemophilia.
That was the answer to how Carlisle would keep Jasper fed.
After almost five months of tortuous theories and possible methods the answer came to him as the most simple one.
Hemophilia.
Jasper's permanent medical records held his PTSD and DID already, Hemophilia could be the perfect solution. And it wasn't as if it was a complete lie. Kind of. Jor was still impossible to keep from self-harming which in a sense did made Jasper lose blood.
For humans all Carlisle had to say was that one of Jasper's alters was prompt to self-harm and due his hemophilia he lost a lot of blood. His PTSD sometimes made him hurt himself too which was also problematic. Due his past he couldn't step into hospitals without breaking into panic attacks and he didn't trust doctors much either.
Thus that left Carlisle as his personal doctor. He was his father. No one would question it.
He could have blood bags delivered to him to keep in case of an "emergency".
He could still put him in school in their next move. Jasper could drink venom before going. Silver wasn't a regular eye color among humans but it wasn't unheard of unlike red.
Of course that wouldn't fix Jasper's sulking though. He missed hunting with the others. With Alice. But there was nothing Carlisle could do about it. Jasper couldn't feed on animal blood. That would be allowing his own son to poison himself and that was something he refused to allow.
Still.
He had grown better. His skin had gone back to its natural tone and his bone structure had regained most of its natural strength too. He was healthier than Carlisle knew he had been in a long time.
Of course there were still signs of the damage. His hair still held brownish "highlights" and he still got sick at times. Plus. He couldn't hold flight for too long either.
He did got a hold of echolocation at this point though. And he had also taken it to attempt to get over his disgust over the garlic scent for some odd reason. Carlisle didn't mind as long as he didn't touch it or tried to eat it. That would be a stupid move.
The human blood was starting to return him to his original state. Fact proven during his wrestling matches against Emmett, Edward and Bella. Carlisle watched him during these times. His speed and strength were starting to surpass Emmett's and Edward's.
He could take Emmett down quicker than he used to. Carlisle had to admit that part of him felt mesmerized during those matches. He still couldn't wrap his head around the fact of what and who had been living under his nose all this time.
Never had he expected himself to take a black blood in. Much less one with Jasper's background. One who had no qualms about threatening or speaking down to the Volturi.
That was something that still troubled Carlisle. Jasper could be awfully fearless at times to the point where it could reach straight up stupidity.
But he guessed that's what happened when he was raised how he was.
With some luck the Volturi wouldn't come back. He knew Aro wanted Jasper, or more like The Major. Much like he wanted Bella, Edward and Alice.
It put him on edge that most of his children were under the Volturi's watch list but he also knew that as long as no laws were broken the Volturi wouldn't be able to touch them.
For the time being his family was safe.
The Major on the other hand... He had been more subdued. He still had his moments but at least Alice was no longer the only one able to get him to behave. He was learning to get a better hang of his anger which could still be quite explosive at times.
The kitchen was a great aid into getting him to focus on something else. Not that that was new for Jor had always seemed to be more civil and willing to speak rather than insult and growl whenever he was cooking or baking.
He had also stopped calling Edward "wussy" and started calling him "golden boy". It wasn't his name but at least he wasn't insulting him anymore so Carlisle would call it an improvement.
Also. Since Esme built him his own space he had taken it to fill it with so many plants it was like a small jungle inside the house. And Carlisle could have sworn there were squirrels and rabbits in that room. Alice had even gotten him a parrot.
A parrot he named The Cat.
Esme and Alice had also been attempting to get Carlisle to give in to the idea of getting him a cat.
Carlisle did start considering it after Jor brought home a full grown mountain lion. God knows what he did to the poor animal for this one to act so tame (more like frightened).
~~~~~~~~~~
A giant light brown wolf crashed into a tree somewhere in the forest. Wood cracking due the force of the impact. A silver wolf snarling at it.
-You can't touch him.- Edward reminded from his position on one of the branches. Leah glared at him as her ears pointed back. A silent snarl on her face.
Seth got up from the ground and shook himself. Despite his fifth collision with the tree in the past hour he looked as eager as he had earlier as he came to stand in a defensive position right infront of Jasper.
Jasper who had decided to test how long he could keep a transformation now that his bones didn't threaten to break whenever he tried to shapeshift.
Even if he took the size of the Quiloutes' wolves the fact that his fur was such an abnormal bright white left clear that he didn't belong among those wolves. The light almost made the fur sparkle like a vampire's skin would beneath the sunlight. It was an odd sight.
And of course his eyes were red.
Seth had jumped at the idea of getting Jasper to train him in that form. For someone who was still healing Jasper was still pretty much kicking Seth's ass.
Something Leah was hating with all her core. Edward due his gift had chose to keep an eye on things in case Leah decides she's had enough. She could be quite impulsive and overprotective when it came to Seth.
Edward watched Seth pounce at Jasper. Unlike before, this time Jasper dodged the attack and without missing a beat he twisted around and slammed into Seth's side. Bringing him down and attempting to bite him.
Surprisingly Seth managed to escape him before he could.
The action managed to catch Jasper off guard long enough for Seth to be able to manage a thing a select handful could manage.
And that was bring Jasper down.
"I can't believe a puppy just overpowered me."
Edward smirked as he heard his brother's thoughts. He knew that despite all Jasper felt more than excited about the idea of getting to train Seth. It was no secret how much potential he seemed to have.
And of course Jasper would jump at the chance to train him. Ever since training them to fight Victoria's newborns he had seemed to favor Seth despite his repetitive comments about disliking the wolves.
He watched them fight for a bit longer before Leah decided that it was enough. Edward could tell she was starting to grow restless over the sight of her brother being pinned down too much by a vampire wolf that faked biting Seth just to make a point.
Edward couldn't blame her. As harmless as he knew Seth to be along with the situation and the fact that Jasper could handle an entire army singlehandedly part of him still felt a bit anxious about his brother fighting a wolf.
He guessed instincts died hard. Vampires and shapeshifters were meant to be natural enemies and regardless of it all there would always be a little vein screaming about nonexistent dangers.
He dropped off the branch once Seth and Leah were gone. Landing right beside Jasper. There was something odd about seeing a giant wolf but rather than dog getting the scent of a vampire instead.
-You played enough, can we go back home before Carlisle figures out we didn't went for a walk?- Edward questioned, as if the fact that Jasper didn't ask Alice instead to come with him wasn't suspicious enough that he planned to do more than just walk.
Alice would have his skin were she to find out Jasper was exerting himself.
And Edward's for not stopping him.
But Edward had to admit that Jasper deserved to stretch a bit. He was still healing but he wasn't weak nor helpless. He wouldn't die for making a bit of exercise.
"We did go for a walk though. How did we get here if not walkin'?"
At Edward's unimpressed look Jasper made the closest amused sound a wolf could make.
-You aren't going to find that as amusing if Alice ends up finding out.
"The only way she's gonna find out is if you tell her. Which you won't if you value your life."- Jasper told as a statement of fact before beginning to walk in the direction of the house. He smirked internally when he felt a flicker of fear wash over Edward.
Alice could be quite the frightening little monster when she wanted to and not even Edward could be saved from her wrath.
Jasper knew she meant well. That she was worried but he was fine. Still a bit sore but perfectly fine.
But he also knew she was as overprotective of him as he was of her.
Which was kind of amusing if given thought considering she hated with a passion that side of him.
He on other hand found that side of her kinda cute. Of course that when she wasn't screaming at him for having gotten an arm ripped or bitten for protecting her.
He spent half of the walk giving mild chase to random rabbits and hares. Edward despite his silence about it didn't hide his amusement at all.
Jasper didn't mind it. Now that he was sure the Cullens wouldn't kick him out for hiding his black blood status nor the fact that The Major was part of him he had decided that loosening up wouldn't do harm. Lowering his guard wouldn't be fatal.
He felt lighter than he had ever felt with the secrets in the open. Like the world was no longer weighing him down.
Like for the first time in a long time he could be himself without repercussions. He could play and joke around without fear of being seen as weak, or accidentally revealing too much.
He was home and he intended to let himself loose.
Much like The Major had let himself loose and had made his own little garden for the world to see.
He did felt a bit self conscious as the house came into view but it wasn't as if he could turn back. He hadn't planned to shapeshift thus he hadn't bothered to take the clothes off.
Hence. His clothes right now were torn and laying somewhere in the forest.
Alice didn't waste a second to jump him, her small arms wrapping around his neck and her face burying against his neck. It took his entire strength to not wag his tail at the happiness she was oozing, if he did that his siblings would never let him live it down.
He did also notice the stain of disapproval.
Ah.
She knew what he did.
But since she wasn't arguing his ear off he guessed she wasn't as mad as he had expected her to be.
-Why is he white?- Renesmee questioned curiously from where she was standing on the tree with a screaming squirrel between her hands.
-Oh my God Ren, you can't just ask people why they are white.- Emmett told half scandalous half amused.
"I'm white 'cos I'm dead."- Jasper thought more to himself than as an answer. Edward rolled his eyes.
To be honest Jasper's color was kind of unnatural. Such bright white it seemed to almost sparkle. Kind of like snow beneath the sunlight.
Or like a poisonous vampire's skin.
A sudden thought occurred to Bella.
-Have you ever walked under the sun while turned into an animal?
Jasper gave her a blank look.
-Is that a yes or a no?- Bella questioned glancing at Edward for translation.
-No. Why would he do that?- Edward said reading his brother's thoughts.
-Just a hunch, that patch over there, put your hand there, paw.- She requested to everyone's mild confusion.
-You want him to put his hand under the sun?- Rosalie asked needing confirmation that she heard that right.
-His fur looks like a vampire's skin under the sun. Wouldn't it be possible that as an animal, as a method to blend in, his skin could take on the sunlight?- Bella elaborated. Jasper frowned at that. He had never given it thought.
In fact.
White fur only appeared during the day. Were it night he knew he would have a more normal color.
Alice stepped back and gave him a reassuring look.
He stared at the patch of light. One of his ears twitched before he decided that it wouldn't hurt to test Bella's theory.
What's worst that could happen? He would burn his hand? He could survive that.
He walked closer and closer to the patch until he could almost feel the heat of the sunlight. It made his instincts flare.
But he refused to back down. He had never been a coward towards the sun. Once close enough he took in a deep breath and braced for the explosion of agony that would wreck through his hand.
He touched the patch.
But the pain never came.
He opened an eye he didn't even knew when he closed.
His paw wasn't sizzling nor burning. In fact. The sparkle had heightened to a point where it did look like Alice's skin when she walked under the sun. Like little diamonds encrusted deep within the fur. Glitter.
He stared at it in silent wonder. Shock. Surprise.
Much like the emotions weighing the air around him.
It felt warm. A kind of warmness that spread across his veins like a pleasant flood and centered around his chest.
Feeling more than curious now he dared to step completely into the patch.
But once again no pain.
Just a warmness that made his insides feel all fuzzy. And this time he had no strength to keep his tail under control. The growing excitement way too much to handle.
Because he wasn't burning.
He was under the sun.
And he wasn't burning.
There was no pain.
How did he not know this? Bella would definitely never cease to amaze him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Carlisle had to admit that at some point in life while in Volterra he did wonder about the change in color when a black blood turned into an animal during the day vs during the night.
But he never managed to find the reason. Hence. He forgot about it with time.
Now. As he watched Jasper running all over the garden as if having discovered the world for the first time he wished he had found about it earlier.
If it weren't for Bella who knows how long until someone managed to figure it out.
It should have been obvious if he thought about it. Such drastical change in the fur had to be for something. Much like animals changed for winter in order to survive.
Esme's arms wrapped around his waist bringing him out of his thoughts and he glanced down at her. A small smile tugging at her lips as she watched their family in the garden.
-He's grown so much.- Carlisle knew what she meant and he couldn't agree more with her.
He still remembers that withdrawn young man who arrived at their doorstep all those years ago, so broken and frightened, all hiding behind a wall of glares, growls and anger.
Carlisle at times had wondered if Maria had managed to break Jasper too much for him to ever be able to have a normal life. If he wasn't putting his faith on someone who couldn't be saved.
Now he had his answer.
And he was more than glad that he never gave up hope.
Hope for a brighter future.
Of course he knew things weren't perfect, they may never be considering the kind of damage Maria did to Jasper and for how long he was subjected to it.
But he had a home and was surrounded by people who loved and cared about him.
He would be perfectly fine.
And as he watched Bella and Emmett team up to tackle Jasper and bring him down he couldn't help but smile.
Yes. They would be perfectly fine.
As long as they had each other they would be fine.

I wanted this quote in the fic but since I couldn't find the right place for it I put it here. I think it fits The Major and Jasper rather well.
PS: I'm not crying y'all are. I'm gonna fucking miss writing for this fic. On the bright side, I'm working on another handful of Twilight fics with the black blood vampires bc I can't get enough of them XD
PS2: The last two chapters are just a deleted scene from Chapter 19 and an alternate black blood reveal. Officially, this is the last chapter of this entire series. Thank y'all for reading and for the positive feedback, I never thought so many people would like this concept :)
