Hayley looked up from behind her fingers to see them staring at her and Klaus.
Elijah smirked, not even trying to hide it. Over the two years that had passed, their romantic feelings faded. She was so depressed with her curse, and only did he fail to understand her pain, but he also also wrapped up in adjusting back into his life after regaining his memories. The strain that had been created between him and Niklaus was his first priority, so that left little time to try and salvage what was left of intimacy. But as he looks back at it now, he's glad it worked out the way it did. Throughout his long life, Klaus' redemption and happiness had been his lifelong pursuit. His purpose. Hope was able to do everything he could not. (in a much shorter time span, he might add) But Hayley. Hayley had a much larger part of his brother's heart, larger than Klaus would like to admit.
He remembered when he first witnessed it; Hayley was standing atop the balcony, throwing punches with furry and will power only a mother could pose. And yet, he didn't lay a finger on her. He let her shove him, let her scream. Elijah tried to reason it to be that the bonds of parenthood is what stopped him from ending her as he would have done to anyone else. Looking back now he believes that was his own subconscious mind still in love with her that played it off as such. But those moments where his brother showed true kindness and love to her, they only continued to thrive and grow. Comforting her of the loss of their child, showing her how to thrive as a hybrid then as a vampire.
About six months after Hayley's curse had been thrusted upon her is when he could finally see it for how it truly was between Klaus and Hayley. Niklaus loved her. And her love was growing too. A seed had been planted when Hope was born. She was a 'gateway' to them finding love. It was a truly beautiful bond, and he didn't dare to break it.
So now, when they seemed to finally relinquish themselves to each other after all these years of pinning. He couldn't help but smirk. He was proud of his brother. Although, that did lead to another question. What was he to do now? Hayley was burning red, a truly embarrassing scene to be caught in. Klaus didn't seem nearly as bothered by it, but that might be because it's his own brother not his ex. She was still comfortable with Elijah, but due to their past relationship it still held boundaries between them.
Freya pursed her lips in an attempt to stop her grin. "Well, we better make sure this kitchen is clean before Kol gets back" Those words were barely registered, because Klaus was already halfway pulling on his shirt, and Hayley couldn't help but stare. Only moments ago she was trailing her hands across his firm body. Her light touches escalating small shivers from him. She wanted to continue. See what noises she could pull from him- Only then did the Hybrid realize she was still staring.
Even Klaus looked startled. "Are you alright?" He squeezed her shoulder. Hayley bit her tongue to stop whatever half thought response was going to spill from her mouth. Freya and Elijah are still here She reminded herself. She wanted to continue this later, when they were alone.
To digest the fact they were…well she's not sure what they are right now. Friends don't even begin to cover it, but a couple feels too sudden. "Yeah," She replied lightly. Klaus' gaze softened. She could tell there was a lot on his mind. He didn't plan for this to happen like he normally does things. Klaus likes to be one step ahead of everyone. To know every move they'll make even before they know they'll make it. But he's completely in the dark here. He doesn't know what's going to happen, but yet he can't stop the deep urge within him to jump head first. Because all he does know is that it feels right. And that's enough for him.
He licked his lips. "I would like to continue this discussion later"
Discussion
She thought with a laugh. She readied her brows teasingly. "After the beignets?"
He smirked. "After the beignets"
It was around 7:30pm. The beignets finished baking hours ago, they were soggy and for some reason sticky in the inside. Hayley wasn't surprised, but it was still a fun experience to indulge in. If she knew one thing, there was never a day that was boring with the Mikaelsons. Some time ago everyone had gone to bed, leaving only two. Klaus had set a fire in the living room, off to get some wine while Hayley curled up in a blanket. They had yet to really discuss what their kiss meant for the future, so she was looking forward to this conversation, even if it made her a little nervous.
Finally, Klaus appeared. A bottle of wine and two glasses in hand. "Cheval Blanc" Hayley read the label as he poured her a glass.
"Only the best," he replied, slightly smug. The wine warmed her body. She hummed slightly. When she looked over she could see Klaus rubbing his hands together. They both knew what they needed to talk about, but both were scared. It's funny. They already admitted to having feelings towards each other. That was supposed to be the hard part. For Klaus however, that wasn't the case. He couldn't help but feel that this new and fragile relationship will break because of him. Nevertheless, a discussion must be held, for god sake they've both waited all day to do so.
"Klaus" "Hayley" They both stopped. He nibbled on his bottom lip and huffed a chuckle.
"Ladies first" What was she to say? She needed to say so much, but didn't know where to begin.
"We kissed" That seemed like a good start.
"That we did, little wolf" he said while pouring a glass for himself. To be honest, she was almost offended by how nonchalantly he said that. Well, she would have been if it weren't for his next words. Suddenly, he was inches away from her, caressing her cheek. "And I want to do it again" His words cut through her like butter. Making her melt. Since when did he hold such power? Although, she was a little too caught up with his lips mere inches away. Hayley kissed him. It was far slower and softer than earlier, she could taste the wine from his lips. His alluring scent was only heightened due to being a wolf. Everything about him drew her in, which is why it was so hard to pull away. Her lips lingered, stealing one more kiss before parting. She spoke softly, afraid if she was too loud, she'd wake from this dream.
"We need to talk about today. About how…are we going to do this? A relationship…A-" Hayley herself had only been in a few relationships. Some short, some longer, but none had felt like this.
Klaus cupped her cheek again. Glancing between her eyes. "Hayley." he whispered hoarsely. "I want this..I want you. I have never felt this feeling from any other women." That was a big statement to make from someone who was 1000 years old. "I have never felt.." he gulped slightly.
I have never felt this much love
She knew that's what he was going to say, but weirdly, she's glad he didn't. She's not quite ready to admit to love just yet. And from how his voice trailed off, neither was he. "I want to have this with you" he ended up saying.
"Good," She smiled. " because that's what I want too" Klaus bent forward to kiss her cheek and neck so softly that it tickled. It never ceases to amaze her how a man so strong, so violent can be so gentle with her. She's seen him tear hearts out like it was nothing. Bite into human flesh with ease. And here he was, pressing feather light kisses to her skin, brushing his thumb pad across her cheek. Within the next couple beats, Hayely pulled him on top of her so she was laying on the couch and wrapped her legs around his waist. She pulled him up to her lips and he body's warmth surrounded her, arms on either side of her , she felt his tongue, wishing to enter her mouth, she quickly opened her mouth to him. Suddenly, with his vampire speed he was standing upright, next to the couch. She had to cling onto him to not fall.
"What are..?" She asked, surprised by this.
"We got interrupted earlier. I don't intend on that happening again" After that their mouths never parted even as he scrambled for the door handle to his bedroom and slammed it shut behind them.
"Quiet" Hayley chastised. "Or the whole house will hear you"
He took his time to respond to that. Smiling smugly. "Oh love, you're the only one whos' going to have to worry about that" There was a burning desire in his eye, voice low and husky.
"Really?" She probed, trying not to sound breathless as he laid her on the bed. Klaus had always been smug, much to her annoyance, but right now, she couldn't help but get turned on by it. Sat on his knees. Tossing his shirt to the side and she found herself whining softly, rubbing her thighs together. He made quick work of the rest of his clothing and hers as well. Until they were both bare.
Klaus took a moment to gaze at her. He had always found Hayley beautiful, but she looked like a goddess before him. He loomed over her, minding his weight as their lips molded together. He slowly trailed his hand up to her breast. She moaned into his mouth at the touch, pulling him closer. After a moment he locked eyes as he adjusted the position of his hips with hers. They both felt a wave of pleasure coarse through them when their bodies joined.
"Hayley," he whispered into her neck. Voice thick and low. After allowing her a couple seconds to adjust their bodies moved in a beautiful harmony together. He muttered her name like a praise, a repeated mantra. There always sounded like more words-three words-would fall from his tongue but they never did. He let his finger slide down to her most sensitive area. Hayley threw her head back, sounds pouring from her.
"What happened to being quiet?" He teased. She didn't respond, words began to become complicated.
"Klaus-" She breathed heavily. "Klaus!" She felt all her pleasure reach its peak and she fell from its dizzying heights. And not a moment later she felt him join her, colaposing atop her. His weight was heavy yet comforting. Mindlessly, she ran her finger through his curly hair which she long admired, feeling him pull her closer in response. Snuggling against her chest, a few light kisses here and there. Hayley squeezed her eyes shut when he rolled beside her. Already missing the warmth.
He soon made up for it though, pulling her closer by the waist to cuddle against his chest. She felt so warm, so relaxed…but- "We need to clean the bed" she mumbled, unappeased. She didn't want to get up, anything besides sleep sounded like too much work.
"We'll clean it in the morning" "Klaus-" "The mess is over there, we'll just stay on this side of the bed" Convenient excuse to cuddle Hayley pondered in her mind, although it was short lived due to the great call of sleep. She let her eyes flutter shut. The thrum of his heart like a melody, pulling her to rest. Maybe he's right, they'll deal with it in the morning.
I have never written smexy times before, was it good, bad, okay?
