The vehicle comes to a halt at the base entrance gate.

"Why are we stopping?" You ask

"No fucking clue" said Ghost

Alejandro is the first to step out of the vehicle and the rest of the team follows suit.

"What's this?" Says Alejandro

Graves steps out of the vehicle ahead,

"This is the immediate future, please step away from the gate and y'all are relieved of your duties gentlemen. Thank you for your service."

Alejandro's face lines with rage and confusion, "this is crazy, this is my base."

"This is not a base, not anymore, this is a sizable facility that we are now taking" responds Graves.

"What?" Soap and you say in unison

"What the fuck did you just say to me pendejo?" Says Alejandro in a deadly quiet.

Soap and you struggle to hold him back as he steps closer to Graves.

"You're out of line Graves." Shouts Soap

"Don't do that. No one needs to get hurt here." Replies Graves pointing his finger at everyone of you, authority lining his words.

"Are you threatenin' us?" Says Ghost. His first statement into this whole situation after purely observing.

"I don't make threats soldier, I make guarantees. So let's not do this." Replies Graves his eyes passing over every member of the 141.

Soap nearly rolls his eyes walking back to where Ghost was standing near the other vehicle, "I'm calling Shepard."

Graves roughly laughs, "Shepard sends his regards and says y'all wouldn't take this very well."

What? Shepard knew? How? What the fuck was going on? How was the team not informed?

"Shepard knew about all this?" You pipe up getting a word in of your disbelief.

"Yes and now it's time to let the pros finish this." Replies a now annoyed Graves.

You look back at Ghost who now shares a look with Soap. Ghost looks back to you with those same cold eyes. You see as one of his hands goes to his hip. Where a hidden knife lay. He was readying his defenses

Shit. This is not good.

"And who the fuck do you think you are cabron? My men are inside!" yells Alejandro now nearly in Graves face. You pull his arm back toward you not wanting things to get hostile.

"I'm afraid not, your men have been….detained" says Graves with a smolder nearly on his lips.

That was the last straw for Alejandro. He rips his arm from your grip going straight for Graves with no mercy in his actions. Graves knocks him over easily as two of his soldier pin down Alejandro against the vehicle and restrain him. He is swiftly knocked out with a back of a gun. Gun fire rings from the other soldiers toward Ghost and Soap.

The pair fall into action quickly taking out the soldiers behind them with ease.

Shit. We were being betrayed. We were nearly sitting ducks. You take the gun that's slung around your body and point it toward Graves but you're not quick enough, he easily kicks it out of your hands shoving you to the ground.

You try to get your bearings and kick at Graves to keep him from grabbing you. He grabs your hair and hauls you up putting a pistol to your head. You go still. You feel the cold gun metal touching your temple. Tears threaten to prick your eyes at the harsh pull of your head.

How could this happen? No no no no not Graves. No no anyone but Graves.

"I've been wanting you this close to me for months angel." He whispers in your ear with his hot breath. You nearly gag at the smell of it.

"Hold your fire boys. You might want to be careful." Shouts Graves.

Soap and Ghost whip their heads around instantly, only to find you with a gun to your head.

They stand frozen in their tracks, the men behind them all dead. Their only threat is standing in front of them.

You start to shake. Fear and adrenaline setting in once more.

"You sick bastard!" Yells Soap

"I've been called worse Sargent" replies Graves

"Let. Her. Go"

You look to Ghost. You knew his voice anywhere. He only took that tone to his greatest enemies. His movements go still. His eyes locked on Graves's face with nothing but death emanating from him. He was going to murder Graves even if it killed him. Especially after seeing you hurting is his arms

"Guys I'll be fine, just go. GO NOW!" You yell trying to wiggle out of Graves's grasp. Graves only pulls on your hair harder and pressed the gun harder on your temple.

You whimper.

Soap and Ghost take a step forward as they hear your groans of pain.

"Hush angel you weren't spoken too." Whispers Graves in your ear.

"God Ghost you look dreadful." Said Graves laughing, "I know you wish this was you. having her this close to you, her ass grinding on you. Her wiggling under you. Don't think I ever caught the way you look at her? "

Soap looks to Ghost. Ghost only continues to look at Graves

Confusion sprawls across your face as you look at Ghost. His gaze goes to your eyes his look softening just a little.

You go still. Blood turning cold at the realization you just made. You close your eyes, fuck it all made sense. How could you have not see it. How could you have not said anything. Ghost was always there for you. He was always the person to go first in threatening situations using his body many time as a shield to protect yours. In non threatening situations he was always a gentleman. Always respectful to open doors for you and to knock in a room you occupied in safe houses. Even when he knew you weren't changing or showering. He never left a man behind, especially not you. He's nearly got him self killed protecting you.

You didn't realize until now. You thought he was just being a good soldier, a decent man. You didn't let your self have hope that he might return your feelings. But now you see that it wasn't. It was something more. You wish you could tell him you felt the same.

"Shut the hell up Graves and let her go! She has nothing to do with this" Shouts Ghost barely holding him self back. Graves would be a dead man if it wasn't for the pistol to your head. Ghost wasn't stupid enough to gamble your life at the expense of a traitor.

"Ahhh there is the reaction I was looking for. But she has everything to do with this" said Graves smiling. He then flared his hips to grind on your back side.

You try to wiggle free, "Graves stop. I don't like this, stop please."

You couldn't help it, those words just came out of your mouth, you hated the feel of him. You couldn't believe this was happening. You wanted it all to stop. You just wanted Ghost and Soap safe.

Pleading with an insane man would likely get you no where but you couldn't help but feel like a hundred spiders were crawling up your skin from the contact. You wanted to vomit.

Ghost was now seeing red.

After Graves movement you got your bearing while he was distracted.

You slightly raise your leg without Graves noticing and you're able to kick him in the groin. He goes down hard letting go of his grip on you.

You fucking run for it.

"Soap, Ghost RUN, GO RUN!" You say as you make a break for it.

Ghost is nearly to you when gunfire erupts from Graves and his soldiers. A bullet catches Ghost in the arm and he goes down to the ground the same happens to Soap as you look to your left.

Shit.

You nearly make it to Ghost when someone tackles you from behind sending you to the ground. You knock your head against the pavement as your vision turns to stars.

It's Graves again as he pulls you to your feet. You quickly turn around the land a punch on his jaw sending him back a little. In your peripheral vision you see Soap and Ghost getting up to their feet.

"You little bitch!" He yells

"GUYS RUN! PLEASE! I'll be okay just GO." You scream so desperate for your team to run. Just to be safe, just to see another day.

Graves tackles you again and grabs you by your hair. He smashes your face in the pavement and you can already feel blood dripping down your forehead. You look up and see Soap running toward Ghost pushing him away from the commotion. You lock eyes with Ghost on last time.

A promise to see him again.

Gun shots ring as Soap and Ghost turn and flee. Now it's only you, an unconscious Alejandro, and Graves.

You let out a breathless laugh as you don't see Ghost or Soap in sight.

Thank god.

They are safe, they are alive. That's all you needed.

"Don't laugh now bitch, you have been so naughty, the best is yet to come" says Graves pulling your hair shoving you against a car. one of his men bind your hands. Someone hit the butt of their rifle at your temple and the last thing you remember is being shoved into a vehicle.

You welcomed the sweet sweet darkness
