You feel cold. A shiver crawls down your spine. You lay your hands on the ground. Ground? It's concrete. Blood splatters littered everywhere around you. Your breathing starts to pick up.

You look down at your body. You see your bare breasts and legs.

No no no no.

"Hello angel."

Tears start to prick your eyes.

No no no no.

You lift your head up and towering over you is Graves. His face has that same disgusting smirk that makes your instantly nauseous.

"Get away from me!"

You scoot your self back into the corner covering yourself as much as you can.

"Don't fucking touch me!" You scream as you swat at the hands that come near you.

You scream and thrash trying to just get away from everything.

Not again. Not again.

"Everything will be fine angel"

"MY NAME IS NOT ANGEL GET THE FUCK OFF ME", you thrash.

You scream as you jerk awake back again in your hospital room.

A nurse is by your bed side.

"Hi sweetie you're okay. Just a bad dream." She says as she tries to lower you back onto your hospital bed. Your back is in fiery pain. You most likely aggravated your bullet wound. Your breathing is still uneven as you lay slowly back on the bed. A few other nurses come into your room. You look around for that certain face you want to see but you don't see him. You look out the window and it's a pitch black sky. The nurses are around you checking machines and tubes and who knows what else. You close your eyes again as tears prick your eyes.

You sense they inject more medication into you as your eyes feel heavy once more.

——

Ghost enters the small hospital at about 11 pm. No nurse dare tell him visitation hours are over. Everyone in the hospital is to scared of his intimidating aura. He makes his way down the hallway to your room. Before he gets to your door a nurse stops him.

"Excuse me sir?"

Ghost turns around to see a small nurse holding a clip board.

"She didn't have a great rest. We had to give her more medication so she could sleep hopefully dreamlessly so her body can heal."

Ghost nods , "thank you"

Ghost enters your room to find you sleeping once more.

If it wasn't for fucking Price or Laswell he would have been here sooner. Ghost was surprised the dreams were already haunting you. Ghost sighed and sat once more in that uncomfortable chair and glances at you before resting his own eyes.

"Hi Ghost"

Ghost swings his head to you.

He's instantly standing, "Hey (Y/N). I didn't know you were awake."

"For being a Ghost you sure do have loud foot steps." You smile slightly.

Ghost smiles despite himself, "I'll try to be better about that Chaser."

"Are you alright?" He asks

You shrug slightly, "I've been better."

Ghost sighs, " you know you can talk to me."

You nod your head in response.

You just lay their quietly for a while as Ghost sits back in his chair. Your body feels so numb and your mind just hurts.

"Was it Graves?"

It was a question that caught you slightly off guard. One you knew Ghost would ask eventually. You knew he wasn't asking about the dream.

Ghost didn't know what brought him to ask it so suddenly. He knew what Graves did. Especially hearing the things he did from Alejandro. He just needed to hear it from you.

You nod as the tears start to fall.

"Anyone else?"

"I lost count." Was all you replied as emotion choked your throat. Ghost was at your bedside once more at eye level with you.

"I'm so sorry (Y/N)", he says, "I shouldn't have pried so early."

He lowers his head to yours as you sob onto his shoulder. Ghost chest cracks once more at all your pain. The helplessness you must have felt.

You slide your arms around Ghost's neck embracing him. It catches him off guard as he goes stiff.

You continue to sob. That makes Ghost give into the hug. He didn't know if you wanted to be touched or how or where might trigger you.

"Ghost" you say as you continue to sob into his large shoulder.

Ghost made a vow to himself to murder Graves as slowly as he could. He would pay for his sins for ever thinking of touching you. He would slit his throat slowly as Ghost would give him the beating he deserved for ever taking advantage of you for ever thinking he could have you! He would kill Graves even if it killed him just as long as he was dead.

You sniffle as you draw away from him.

"I'm sorry" you say as you sniffle once more.

"Never be sorry." He says.

"I'll kill him."

You smile, "I know you will. But right now I just need you here."

Ghost's heart jumps at that. Hearing you say those words that you NEED him. Something he had never heard in this context. Something he thought he would never hear.

"Can you help me too the bathroom?" You ask, "I'm about to piss this bed."

Ghost lets out a breathy laugh, "you sure you don't want me to call a nurse?"

"Hell no. The last thing I want is a nurse coming in to stick me with another tube."

Ghost lowers your hospital bed and helps you sit up. You hiss in pain.

"Are you sure you can get up?" He asks

"No but I need to piss you wanker." Using his native tongue might make him just fucking help you.

"You arse." He replies still slightly laughing.

You finally make it to the edge of the bed, "you ready for the next steps?"

You are already breathing heavily at this point and you still had to make it to the bathroom.

Ghost could have easily carried you there but he knew you needed to walk on your own. For your own mental being. So he would help in any way he could.

You finally stand on two legs, a little wobbly at first but Ghost is there in an instant to catch your fall.

"Easy Chaser."

You slowly take your first few steps as you brace Ghost's arm probably a little too tightly while he pushes the pile of machines attached to you. You make your way to the door as Ghost opens it for you. He guides you in slowly.

"I'll wait out here." He says. He wanted to give you as much privacy as possible. He already knew how invasive hospitals could be with personal space.

You nod going into the bathroom closing the door to where it was barely cracked a sliver. You couldn't believe you really needed help to the bathroom. And to get help from Ghost of all people. You had to admit that it was a little hilarious watching Ghost be so gentle with you. It's like you were made out of glass. But Ghost was being more respectful then you could have ever imagined. You were so thankful for his presence. He was so thoughtful and to have waited hours and hours till you woke up the first time. You couldn't believe he did all that for you. You had to admit that you were slightly embarrassed that he could definitely hear you tinkle and weren't even sure if you could get back up.

Once you are done you struggle to get up from the sitting position, but surprisingly you make it.

"I'm done." You say as Ghost opens the door tentatively. He peeks in before opening it all the way. You are struggling to hold you body weight as you arms are supported by the countertop and the wall. He steps in slowly giving you his arm as you gladly take.

He slowly walks you back to your bed.

"Easy peasy." You say as you are breathing so heavily like you just ran through a practice combat exercise.

Ghost only gives a small laugh.

Ghost makes small talk with you for the rest of the time being trying to get your mind off everything. He glances at the clock and it's nearly 1 am.

"Well it's getting late. I don't want to keep you. You need to get good rest so your body can recover quicker. We miss you out there Chaser."

Ghost goes to stand up from his chair but you immediately grab his arm,

"No. Stay."

Ghost looks into your eyes before looking to your hand grasping his forearm.

"Please." You say

Ghost felt like someone was pulling at his heart strings. He was so surprised that you wanted him to stay. He wasn't sure if he was overstepping his stay in your hospital room now that you were awake. He didn't know if you wanted your own space or time to process everything. He assumed you would. He did in these types of situations.

"Are you sure?" Was his only response.

"Please."

He nodded and sat back down in his chair.

"It's getting late. We should sleep." He says going to turn off one of the room lights to make it easier to doze off.

"I know that chair is uncomfortable so we can share the bed." You suggest.

Your face nearly turns as red as a tomato at the statement. Thank god it was darker in the room.

"Chaser I really don't think I can fit."

"Well if you won't be comfortable then you can go if you like. I know you probably have a busy day tomorrow." You say losing hope of his staying. It was a very odd and sudden request. You just needed someone else there with you. And you trusted Ghost the most out of anyone. You just didn't want to be alone in a strange room anymore. You needed some simple comfort even if it was a little selfish of you.

Ghost sees that loss of hope show in your eyes. A sight he has seen much more often then he wanted to on you. He couldn't be the reason yet again for that look on your face.

"Scoot over." Was all he say

It took you by surprise at this statement. But you scoot over as best as your back and body would let you.

The hospital beds were quite a bit larger then the dorm beds back in base. So with Ghost now in your bed there is room for both plus a little wiggle space. Ghost's body was so stiff he was barely breathing. He could remember the last time he shared a bed with someone get alone with a woman. He didn't want to take up to much of your space. This was you bed at the moment after all. He also was scared about disconnecting one of your monitors. So he stayed as still as possible while you got comfortable next to him.

"Sleep Chaser."

"Goodnight Simon." You say before trying to drift off.
