My fanfiction already exists, but I would like it to be accessible in English... I am counting on your comments to tell me if it is readable in translation or if the adaptation is not good :) if I can publish the continuation in English or not.
This is my first fanfiction, I'm a bit long but I still think I'll be able to finish it!
Fan of the Superman/Wonderwoman couple. But still new to DC playback; I hope not to make too many errors with the characters.
...
This evening should have been like one of the umpteenth Bruce Wayne galas: Champagne, beautiful people, lots of gossip, journalists... but always with the same decorum and forced calm...
NO WAVES!
However, it was much more eventful than that.
Clark stared at the woman in front of him in her now messy big bed. Those long, slender legs struggled feebly under the white sheet that only partially covered her.
Her long raven hair lay flat on the pillow, some strands sticking to her neck and shoulders. She was sweating.
His closed eyes narrowed jerkily under his obvious unease. She was mumbling unintelligible words.
He bent down to try to decipher them, that's when she arched her back slightly and her luscious mouth whispered:
"... heat... "
He clenched his jaw and mentally slapped himself at the reactions Diana's squirming and sounds were inflicting on him.
His self-control was always under strain with the young woman; at the same time she could bring any libido to a boil with a look.
This is what put them in this precarious situation at the present time.
FLASHBACK
In the reception room, the hubbub of conversations mingled with the air of Chopin played by the small philharmonic orchestra on the stage in its center. The decor was understated yet classy and classic; hints of gold and large chandeliers with crystal drops added prestige.
It was enough to welcome all the gratin of Gotam and cie.
Only, in the small group of which the host of the evening was part, an almost electric tension was palpable.
The cause was the special guest: Prince Arane de Lusac. A planet recently listed as one of the richest and most powerful in the Avalon system.
The "young" prince had just celebrated his 320th birthday, the age of majority on Lusac, and for the occasion his father had given him the mission of traveling through different planetary systems to preach their good word: "We are the best, what precious thing do you have to haggle worthy of our greatness? ยป
The justice league had to maintain its stay inconito, the government would have seen in its presence only an additional extraterrestrial threat to have to control. It was a question of showing the Earth to the prince without any diplomatic incident occurring and that he leave happy with his visit.
Flash, Aquaman and Jo'nn had taken turns all week to make him discover the different continents as well as the underwater world. The prince's stay was coming to an end, his teleportation was scheduled for the following evening. All the members of the justice league present for this mission seemed to be waiting impatiently for his departure; the man was vain, affable, and seemed unusually powerful. Even John had failed to quantify his powers, the fact is that he was immune to his telepathy.
Arane raised a flute of champagne to his mouth and dipped his lips in it to taste this unknown beverage.
He took a sip and arched an eyebrow.
- What is the name of this drink? I've never tasted anything that comes close.
"It's champagne," Arthur replied.
- Delicious, even if it is not worth the Amanithe of our regions, it is drunk much better than your... how already? water ?
- Sir has expensive tastes, sneered Barry. It is on that one cannot rust with Don Perignon.
The prince gave him a haughty look but didn't answer. It was clear that for him the Flash didn't deserve his attention.
- Did your stay with us go well? asked Bruce. What do you think of our dear blue planet?
- I must admit that I am somewhat disappointed that, despite our complete physical similarity, our respective peoples are so far apart when it comes to technology and culture. With your short lifespan and the youth of your planet you are still only at the beginning of your development. Maybe in a few centuries, a future visit will be less lucky.
- I see... interesting. Bruce gritted, clenching his jaw.
He glanced at Clark who was standing to his right and read the same annoyance on his features.
The prince was terribly a killjoy.
- Good evening gentlemens, greeted them a soft and honeyed voice. Can we join you?
It was Selina, accompanied by Mera and Dinah.
In civilian clothes of course, like the rest of the men in the group. But even so the three young women attracted attention. They were a charm for the eyes.
Mera clung to Arthur's arm, while Selina crept to Bruce's left and Dinah to Clark's.
- And me then where is my other half for the evening? Barry asked with a sulky pout.
- Maybe you'll have your chance with Diana, smiled Mera. If she decides to arrive.
Barry chuckled and puffed out his chest.
- For her I am willing to wait a bit.
It itched Clark to ask Bruce about their friend's mission. She should have returned yesterday already. But with the prince on the side it was out of the question to talk about a league mission, so he held back.
- You are all three charming ladies, Arane complimented them, although a bit smug. Queen Mera it is a pleasure to see you again, since my visit to Atlantis.
His gaze lingered a little on her; with her alabaster skin and her flamboyant hair she shone in her black cocktail dress.
Arthur growled under his breath and pulled his wife closer to his statuesque torso.
- No wandering eyes please!
- Don't worry king of the seas, I'm far too demanding, Arane sneered.
Mera restrained her husband's momentum as he groaned again and was about to come and hold her to account.
Hadn't he just implied that his wife wasn't good enough for him?
- How about we dance? Dinah offered as a diversion.
The orchestra had started a soft waltz, and some guests had started dancing on the floor.
- Very good idea, exclaimed Selina, already dragging Bruce in her tracks.
This one didn't seem to have a say. Mera also pulled Arthur after her, he really needed to regain his composure.
- Clark? Dinah asked hopefully.
He smiled affectionately at her but declined her offer.
- I'll stay with Prince Arane, thank you. Why not ask Barry?
The young blonde woman gave a little disappointed pout but Flash grabbed her hand to take her to join the other waltzers.
- You do seem to be one of the only ones in this room likely to prevent me from doing any "mischief", Prince Arane smiled slyly, while the two men watched the couples in front of them evolve more or less gracefully on the track. of dance.
Clark raised an eyebrow.
- Why do you think that?
- I know it. I don't see your abilities clearly, but I have like... a built-in strength barometer.
And your power seems to explode my meter. What planet are you from? Because none of his Earthlings could have a quarter of it. You must be an alien.
- I'm from Krypton.
- A Kryptonian? inquired the prince; he took a closer look at the tall brunette with deep blue eyes. For the first time since his arrival on this planet, he seemed to find information worthy of his interest. I thought they were all extinct.
- I'm the last... answered Clark without going deeper.
His tone was cold and distant. He did not know why but this prince was strongly antipathetic to him. And that aversion wasn't just coming from his haughty side...it was something else...a presentiment.
- I see. I would love to hear your story and that we can talk technology. You would be welcome for a visit to Lusac if you feel like it. I'm surprised you stayed on this insignificant planet. These short-lived little lives don't have much to bring you. Where would you plan to submit this population to your subjugation?
Clark blinked in amazement. He was about to make him repack his hideous allegations when Bruce came back to them.
The waltz had just ended. Selina had gone to get herself a glass of champagne.
- Gentlemen, you seem very serious, it's a party! Prince would you mind showing us a little dance step or two?
Is this done by you?
The billionaire played his role as party host wonderfully. Clark was still amazed at how easy it was to appear so carefree, jovial, and unenlightened about his surroundings, when he was the exact opposite.
Arane didn't seem fooled though.
- I admit I'm not in the mood for..
Arane's sentence remained suspended, something had caught his eye at the entrance of the room. Bruce and Clark turned to see what had caught his attention. Clark had "heard" it before he saw her. His heartbeat was so familiar. Many of the guests had also stopped their conversation to watch her descend the stairs with unparalleled grace despite the heels of her vertiginous pumps. Murmurs escaped from all sides as the young woman approached them without seeming to care about the eyes on her. "The Ease of Habit" . Well, that was what she let it seem.
Her large flowing, fitted sequined beige dress slit open revealing her endless tanned legs with every step. Her cleavage was light in front, just enough to show off her breasts, but it was plunging down her back revealing all the way to her slender, golden waist.
Her black hair was plaited in a long, thick braid of corn that descended over her left shoulder.
On reaching them she gave them her famous smile; the one that melted the ice floe.
- Good evening sirs. Sorry Bruce, I missed a lot of the party. Work a little longer than expected.
"You'll tell me all about it later Diana," Wayne eluded with a nod. I present to you Prince Arane our "distinguished guest"
By emphasizing these last words he reminded her of the situation. Not having been there for the reception of the prince, she had only had the outline of this escort mission.
She then studied him; tall, almost as tall as Superman to his right, he had thick golden brown hair worn short and beautiful hazel eyes.
His manly jaw was covered with a very neat light beard of a few days. His dark outfit was tailored, showcasing his slim but muscular body. He was handsome, no doubt, but of a cold beauty. His eyes had a dangerous shine.
- Delighted prince Arane, I am Diana princess and ambassador of Themyscira.
He didn't answer but grabbed with a disconcerting rapidity for the human eye the hand she had just held out to him.
His hazel eyes catching Diana's ocean blue ones he whispered:
" gorgeous ... "
One of his large hands still held the young woman's, and the other began to caress up her forearm.
A red light flashed dangerously in Bruce's mind. It didn't smell good.
Clark frowned and clenched his jaw. How dare he touch her like that?
- Let me go... ordered the Amazon princess in a dangerously calm tone.
But the prince didn't seem to feel the tension rising around him. Still caressing her arm, he moved forward to almost stick his body to that of the young woman.
"And this power, unbelievable..." he continued to whisper.
"I won't allow you," Diana hissed through her teeth. This is my last warning get away from me.
- It seems that I did not come in vain on this planet finally, smiles Arane.
Her eyes shone with satisfaction and something Diana couldn't identify. It was pushed out of his mind when he jerked her waist tightly against his chest and his other hand came up to grope her right buttock.
She arched her eyebrows in surprise as her grip was incredibly strong. As much as Kal's.
But anger quickly took over and her cheeks began to draw crimson.
She was going to send him to meet the back wall of the room for a shattering kiss, too bad for his billionaire friend's party.
ALERT, ALERT seemed to be screaming a siren in Bruce Wayne's head.
But it was Superman who acted first. With a movement so quick that it could only be seen out of focus, he grabbed the prince's wandering arm and twisted it viciously behind his back, making him wince in pain. Any standard man would have been dismembered by the maneuver.
- She told you not to touch her! the Kryptonian grumbled, his eyes turning a slight red tint in anger.
- Kal! Diana interjected, I don't need your help I can handle this alone.
- I think you'd better listen to him, moaned Arane.
- Clark stop it! We've all tried too hard to make it all right, Bruce chided him harshly, but with a soothing hand on his shoulder.
Kent sighed and released his pressure on the prince's arm.
This cracked a few knuckles in a small rattle and then straightened up completely. Still his smug little smile on his face.
Whispers were heard everywhere. And Bruce exclaimed loudly:
- Another simple show of strength to impress those ladies! Don't worry everything is fine.
People turned away but of course it would continue to gossip for a while.
The few justice league members who were scattered around the room came back to the group.
"Perhaps we should escort you to Prince Arane's Tower," Arthur said. It looks like you've had enough fun for tonight and tomorrow is departure day.
The prince noticed the group gathered around him, all had the same menacing look in their eyes.
It was clear that he would not easily have the object of his desire. It made the game even more interesting.
- Excuse me princess, I let myself be dazzled by your beauty. My gestures have exceeded my thoughts.
Diana glared at him coldly in response. Flattery had never worked with her.
- I'm leaving tomorrow, it would bother me to stay on this false note. My role being to create good relations with the Earthlings, I would like to stick to it.
- Well... until now he didn't care so much, muttered Flash.
- What could I do to be forgiven? he inquired
Clark had all the difficulty in the world not to throw an acid retort at him. He was still bubbling with rage and it frustrated him; why couldn't he keep his self-control like the others?
He had to face the facts; when it came to his amazon friend he left quickly.
Diana herself was more restrained, despite her explosive temper, she remained stoic and seemed to try to smooth things over as much as possible.
- It will be fine, Prince Arane, she replied in a measured voice, if your apologies are sincere, we will leave it at that. Intergalactic peace is also close to my heart.
A victorious and somewhat wicked smile formed on the alien's lips as he bent down and reached out to offer her a hand kiss.
- The wisdom of a true sovereign.. I can therefore slip away from this serene evening. Can I?
Reluctantly Diana held out her hand, and was taken aback when he turned her around to kiss the inside of her wrist.
A small stab of pain shot through her and she quickly withdrew her arm.
"Ow, a shot?" she mused.
Bruce was alarmed but didn't flinch, he had seen the imperceptible start of the young woman.
- Arthur and Mera will accompany you to the Tower, he declared. We'll see you tomorrow for the teleport.
The prince nodded positively and, after a last look for Diana that stirred Clark's innards, he took his leave with the king and queen of the seas.
Selina approached her friend as she gently rubbed her wrist.
- Honey, you wreak havoc even with the wrong numbers. Although I admit that in the dark beauty genre he is not bad at all!
- By Era if Kal hadn't intervened when he dared to grope me, you could have seen him with another face: exploded!
The two young women began to laugh.
- Princess, would you grant me this dance? Clark interjected.
Diana gave him a half-annoyed, half-amused look. He knew she didn't like her friends calling her by her title, but he seemed to enjoy it every time. Where did he want to mark some sort of barrier?
He who was there for her in her actions, on each mission, very considerate (too even sometimes like this evening with the prince) always behaved so distantly during their conversations. As if he didn't want to get too close, to create a bond. Yet she did not bite ... although. This thought made her smile.
- Fffffiiiiooouuu, Selina hissed, looking happy and a little mocking, Mr. Kent is indulging in social events, it's a first...
I leave you then.
Diana put her arm around Clark's muscular arm.
- Let's go Kal
