Disclaimer: I do not own Percy Jackson, the ATLA universe, or the first 9 ½ chapters. Because Benthatguy did a helluva job, and I wouldn't have ruined the live-action movies.

"Of course, Uncle. When the boy wakes, he will be in a new world where the Fates cannot curse him with a hero's tragedies," Hermes replied as he exited Atlantis in a golden flash of light.

"Good luck, my son. I hope you will find joy and happiness in your life. Always remember you are a true child of the sea" The god whispered as he watched his son's body disappear from the infirmary in a flash of golden light. A passing thought entered the sea god's mind. I wonder how much a single demigod can impact an entire world. After thinking about it for a moment, he concluded. "Nope, not even my son can change that much." Besides, Poseidon had other things to worry, about like the wrath of Sally Jackson. Tartarus hath no fury like a woman scorned, and sending her only child away was going to put Poseidon through Hades.

The Earthshaker greatly underestimated his son's refusal to play by the rules, for Percy Jackson was about to change the bending nations forever.

Percy was having the most messed-up dream of his life. First, his best friend had become half donkey/goat, then his mom got killed by some bull dude in tighty whities, and now to top it off he was at the bottom of the ocean with some guy in a Hawaiian shirt and khaki shorts claiming to be his dad and a Greek god. So, he did what any sane person would do when talking to a guy at the bottom of the ocean

He reached out and poked the bearded Hawaiian's nose.

The man let out a long sigh, "Please do not poke me in the nose again, Perseus—"

"It's Percy," he interrupted out of habit before offering a sheepish apology, "Sorry."

The man smiled at him this time. "It's fine Percy. As I was saying, I'm sorry but this is not a dream. I am your father, Poseidon, Lord of the Seas & Elder Olympian." He paused briefly as if to gather his strength to keep talking "Your mother has been taken by Hades, but I will get her back. This is the last time I will ever truly speak with you like this." He let out a deep sigh, "You're probably going to be furious with me, but I am sending you away to another world to keep you safe. The Fates would use you as a pawn, your life would be raised on war and loss. You are only 12 and you are my son, I will spare you from this destiny."

"Another world like Mars or what?" Percy responded, deciding it's easier to just go along with the crazy dream until he wakes up.

"Not quite my son, more like another dimension with different people and ways. When you arrive there I will not be able to visit or protect you."

"Thanks but no thanks I've been fine without your protection for 12 years." Percy spat suddenly angry. "If this is real then you owe me. You left me and mom, you have to save her, you owe me."

The man winced, "Percy please ancient laws forbade me from seeing you or your mother when you were born. You have my word on the River Styx, I will get your mother back safely. I just want to help you please heed my warning." He pleaded, "This new world is very different from our own. The world is divided into four different nations I'm told by Hermes. The Earth Kingdom is a strong hardy people with the power to control the earth. The Fire Nation is an ambitious cunning people with the power to control fire. The Air Nomads are peaceful people who value peace and freedom with the power to control air. And finally, the Water Tribes are determined and highly adaptable with the power over water."

After this massive amount of information dumped on him, the young half-blood responded in the usual way, "Ummmm okay?"

"Percy, this is very important, when you discover this world you must tell them this. Tell people who ask that you are from an isolated island who lost his mom in an attack. It will explain why you have almost no knowledge of the nations." The man sighed again, "I wish I had more time to say goodbye to my son. Know that I love you, and I am proud of you. Do be careful with the pen." He ended with the same troublemaker smirk Percy saw when he looked in the mirror. That same smirk that scared all teachers since elementary school they just signed up for chaos.

"Wait what?" Percy had no clue what was going on and honestly just wanted this dream to end so he could wake up.

"Oh and remember no matter how many times they tell you you're a waterbender, you are my son. The son of the Storm-bringer, the Earth-shaker, and Lord of the Seas. You're more powerful than you imagine." The man's eyes suddenly sparkled, "And remember even the strongest flames yield to the untameable ocean." As the dream world faded away Percy could still see that same mischievous look in those deep sea-green eyes.

It was a quiet night off the eastern coast of the Fire Nation. All that could be seen for miles was the stars reflecting off the glassy water of the ocean almost as if it was being kept calm for an extra special purpose. The Fire Nation battleship completing the last leg of its journey home was the only thing marrying this serene image.

"SIR... SIR!" The young soldier called out to his commanding officer.

"What is it, soldier?" Snapped Lieutenant Lee as he approached the railing of the ship that the soldier was staring over.

"There's a kid in the water sir!" Exclaimed the soldier as he pointed at the boy adrift on the wood.

"What in Agni's name are you waiting for?! Get him on board, and if somebody wakes the prince he will want to know about this and also alert the ship's doctor the kid may need medical attention...NOW!" The Lieutenant thundered to the crew as they ran off to complete their orders. Throwing down coils of rope and netting to pull the boy onto the ship as the deckhand rushed to alert the sleeping prince and doctor.

Several minutes later the aged prince of the Fire Nation approached the medbay with the deckhand and ship's physician in tow. The Dragon of the West looked with a critical eye as the strangely clothed boy that was brought onto the ship. The boy looked to be about the age of his nephew, with dark black hair and tanned skin. However, the child was small and scrawny like someone who didn't get enough to eat. But the prince was not one to be deceived by appearances, he could sense the waves of power rolling off him like a great beast.

He looked to his Lieutenant standing in the room, "Report Lieutenant Lee." He commanded in a tone that left no room for argument.

Lee snapped to attention, "The kid was spotted drifting in the water General."

"We

"We'll leave him here in the medbay for now after the doctor has inspected him for injuries. I have a feeling that there is more to this boy than meets the eye, Lieutenant Lee." The general said calmly.

As the doctor went to inspect his new patient the crew went back to their assigned duties already discussing and theorizing on who this boy could be and how he ended up in the middle of the ocean all alone. Only Iroh seemed to notice that the boy was completely dry after just being pulled from the ocean.

Percy woke up with a pounding headache and the worst sense of vertigo he had experienced in his young life.

"Arrggghhhh," He moaned aloud, that dream was wild even by his standards and he had a pretty high tolerance for that kind of stuff. He finally opened his eyes fully expecting to see his room with clothes strewn all over. What he found when he glanced around was not his room in his small Manhattan apartment, but a metal-plated dorm with an unhealthy amount of red adorning the walls, bed, and well, everywhere he looked.

"Ahem," The polite cough alerted him to the older man sitting in the chair next to his cot sipping tea, wearing, you guessed it…. more red. The first thing Percy thought to ask was who are you or why are you watching me sleep but instead he said, "What's with all this red?" He internally cursed his ADHD for the millionth time.

The man seemed amused by his comment rather than offended as he smiled while sipping his steaming hot tea. "Before we start all the questions you might find a nice cup of tea will help make this easier." He replied sagely as he handed the young demigod a cup of hot tea.

As Percy took a sip of the tea his ADHD mind was working overdrive noticing the rocking of the room and the sound of the waves. They were on a ship and by the smell of coal and smoke, probably an old one.

"My name is Iroh and to answer your question young man, the reason for all the red as you put is because this is a Fire Nation ship." The man, now named Iroh answered as if it explained everything. Suddenly then Percy's dream rushed back to him, the weird conversation about the Fire Nation with the Hawaiian guy claiming to be his dad, and what happened before too. Oh gods, if that was real then his mom, his mom was kidnapped. He felt like breaking down then and there, he would be forced to live with smelly Gabe. But then he remembered what his Dad (might as well go with a dream dad now it can't be weirder than the rest of this) said to him, he was in another world. He would never see Manhattan or Grover again, but his dad was going to rescue his mom.

Iroh must have noticed the look on his face because he put a comforting hand on his shoulder saying, "If you want we can talk later, you can rest for as long as you like." Rest was the farthest thing from Percy's mind, he needed answers and he also needed to provide them to this guy without sounding like a crazy person. So steer clear of the whole beach god for a dad and another world topic.

"No, it's fine." He croaked out his voice thick with emotion. He took a deep breath to steel his nerves before continuing, "What's going on exactly, where did you find me?"

"We found you drifting in the open ocean. We are on the way back to the Fire Nation." He gave me a moment to absorb this new information before going on to ask. "Would you mind telling me how someone so young managed to end up alone in the sea miles from land?" He asked politely.

"Okay Percy you can do this, it's just like lying to the teachers at Yancy." He thought to himself, "I was on a small boat with my mom and best friend. We got attacked by some sort of creature and they didn't make it." He thought it would be best if he kept it as close to the truth as he could.

Iroh gave a moment of silence before pressing on, "I'm sorry for your loss but I must ask, is your father around? Do you have someone to take care of you?"

"No, my father left before I was born so there is no one left to take care of me. We lived on a very small island off the coast of the mainland." Percy thought it would be best to leave out that the mainland he was talking about was not the Fire Nation.

The man hesitated for a moment as if considering his options before replying, "I will have to think about what I can do to help you, but until then your belongings are on the table by your bed as well as a change of clothes for you to change into. I'll speak with you again before we dock."

Percy nodded silently, already drained from the whole ordeal. As the man left the room Percy tried to think of his next move, but it was pointless as his body was still exhausted from his fight with the Minotaur. He fell into a deep slumber only moments after the door closed.

Prince Iroh was deep in thought of what to do about the young boy that had just lost everything. His heart went out to the boy, reminding him of his son Lu Ten. He wanted to help the child, but it was going to be difficult. The boy was obviously from the Fire Nation, any Earth Kingdom or Water Tribe ships would have been spotted if they ventured this deep into Fire Nation waters. Not to mention the only landmass anywhere near here was the many small islands that dotted the Fire Nation's territory, so his story was checked out.

This led to the problem that he didn't look like a Fire Nation. He looked Water Tribe except for those sea-green eyes. In all his years the prince has never seen eyes like those, they seemed to swim with power and mystery. This combined with the way the water had reacted to him meant he was most likely a waterbender and a powerful one at that. He couldn't just be placed in any Fire Nation orphanage. They would kill him, claiming him a spy if they found out he was a waterbender. But at the same time, there was no safe way to bring him to one of the Water Tribes.

Iroh was lost in thought for a long time until his eyes stumbled upon his Pai Sho table, more specifically the white lotus tile. A wide smile snaked across his face. Maybe it was time to call an old friend. After all, he was looking for a new student last the prince had heard.

Author Note - Alright everyone so this is the end of chapter 2 of Percy Jackson & The Sapphire Flame and I hoped y'all enjoyed it. Give it a review or follow if you'd like to stay up to date on this story. A few things I'd like to talk about.

- If it seems like his whole encounter with the Minotaur got glossed over your right. He's only 12 and his whole world just got turned upside down. He doesn't want to remember that and it's only mentioned to show how he got to the ATLA universe.

- Percy kept his story super similar to what happened. Iroh is a military man he will notice small things, but Percy's a kid who lost everything, Iroh isn't going to press him. And by keeping his story so similar Percy isn't telling any big lie to notice.

- Finally, please leave a review, guys! A follower or favorite would mean a lot too for me. Don't flame me too hard though. I'm always open to advise on being a better writer.
