Fall of the Yakuza

"Now, you take care of yourself and Kotaru-chan, Toshinori," Nana-sensei said.

"You can count on me, Mom," Toshinori said, smiling widely at her as he held Kotaru close, patting Nana-sensei's little boy on the back as he held him; then, of course, Toshinori realized what he'd actually said and felt his entire face heat up. "I mean; yes, sensei."

Nana-sensei laughed softly. "Looks like you're settling in better than I thought, Toshinori."

He didn't have the chance to do much more than splutter awkwardly, before the sound of Hisashi Shigaraki's laughter drew his attention. The white-haired man made his way over, red eyes sweeping over them with that same, slight smirk he always seemed to be wearing. At least, he was whenever Toshinori saw him; it was probably why he and Nana-sensei got along so well. She had always said that the people who always kept smiling were the strongest kinds of people.

He'd never seen Shigaraki-san without a smile, so Nana-sensei probably thought he was the strongest person she'd ever met; second strongest behind her, maybe.

Watching as Nana-chan said her farewells to the boy she'd clearly taken into her heart, Hisashi chuckled softly. Toshinori Yagi – though it seemed more than likely that the boy would soon become a Shimura of his own volition – truly did remind him of Shiro, particularly back when he and his brother had both been staying together in the mansion that he had claimed for himself and those who had chosen to follow him. It was a rather sentimental feeling, whenever he and the child would have the chance to speak with each other, and Hisashi found that he truly enjoyed the time they spent together. More and more, Hisashi was coming to enjoy the presence of the inheritors of the Quirk he and Shiro had birthed together for themselves, slightly more than just for the fact that they each carried the remnants of Shiro's spirit.

However, considering the task that still lay before them, it was truly best that they returned to it.

"Nana-chan, it's time to leave," he said, knowing that she would understand.

"Yeah, I guess you're right," Nana-chan said, turning to him with that smile on her face; the one she seemed to have chosen as the face she would put forward when she was acting as a Hero, or even in civilian life, since Nana-chan was one of those who made little to no distinction between the two.

He'd never truly understood the appeal, himself.

"I suppose, since we're going to be gone for some time, Toshi-kun, I suppose I should leave you with some sage fatherly advice," he paused to think for a moment, chuckling at the expression on Toshinori Shimura's adorable face as he did so. "Oh yes: do try to avoid inviting all of your friends over for some kind of celebration."

The sound of Nana-chan's laughter drew his attention before Hisashi could consider just what else he should tell the boy that she was so fond of; the one that he himself was steadily becoming more fond of, over the time the pair of them had spent in each other's company.

"Maybe you shouldn't try to give sage, fatherly advice if the only place you've heard it is on television, Hisashi-kun," Nana-chan said, grinning him in a way that seemed almost calculated to remind Hisashi of himself.

It was rather adorable, honestly.

Once Nana-sensei and Shigaraki-san had left, Toshinori found himself quickly drawn into Kotaru-chan's games, playing hide-and-seek throughout the large house. However, as he was making his way through the living room – looking for Kotaru-chan's latest hiding place – the front door slammed open, and Toshinori found himself confronted by what seemed to be some kind of criminal. If not an outright Villain.

"I was expecting to find those Pro Hero rats in this place, after I spent so much time tracking them down," the man growled, stomping his way into Nana-sensei's home. "Still, you'll have to do for sending them a message, boy."

Narrowing his eyes, Toshinori dove for the nearest of the chairs that took up the dining space, just as whatever Villain had come to attack Nana-sensei lashed out with what seemed to be his Quirk. The table collapsed into a heap, as what seemed to be some kind of telekinesis Quirk – or else very fine control over wind; Toshinori couldn't really say, after seeing just one use of it – tore it to shreds. Grabbing the chair he'd been aiming for, knowing that he was the only thing standing between Kotaru-chan and this invading Villain, Toshinori braced himself.

It wasn't like he could get in trouble for this; doubly so, since this Villain had invaded Nana-sensei's home, and he was still Quirkless.

"Stop humming and concentrate, brat," he grumbled as Shigaraki's voice, sounding as irritatingly cheerful as it ever had, became just loud enough that Sorahiko could probably justify himself as being concerned about their movements being discovered by some kind of sentry or other.

"So serious," the brat volleyed back, and Sorahiko suspected that if he could have actually seen the brat's mouth behind that baklava he was wearing, he'd see that same irritating smirk Shigaraki always seemed to be wearing.

"Hisashi-kun, don't be difficult," Nana said, though the smile on her face had to be encouraging to the brat.

"Very well, Nana-chan," Shigaraki said, sounding about as annoyingly smug as Sorahiko had ever heard the man. "I suppose, if that's what you want."

"The world's oldest brat," Sorahiko grumbled, just loud enough for said brat to hear him, if he happened to be using one of those sensory-enhancement Quirks he was always so damn fond of showing off.

"So far as I've heard, Sora-kun, you're meant to respect your elders," Shigaraki said; Sorahiko could just hear the usual, annoyingly smug smirk on his face.

"The day you act like my elder, brat, I'll buy you an ice cream," he said, turning to glare at the brat as they all continued on their way.

"Settle down, you two," Nana said, though she was still smiling.

Sometimes, her whole Hero act could be more than a little troublesome; mostly when they were dealing with that brat, Shigaraki.

Cupping his left hand, Hisashi called upon his Skystrike Quirk, raining down lightning on the walls of the Yakuza compound that he, Nana-chan, and Sora-kun had discovered. Laughing as he moved forward, still in the shape he'd taken once he'd left the company of Nana-chan and Sora-kun, Hisashi pulled down his baklava so that he would be able to make use of his Dragon's Breath Quirk to cut down those attempting to flee from the remains of the compound. At least, the few who hadn't been crushed by the falling roof.

Or, conversely, those who managed to survive his controlled lightning.

Screaming as something tore through the right side of his face, blinding him in the eye on that side, Toshinori raised the chair he'd grabbed – the third of them, since the Villain he was facing had cut through the previous two with what was probably his Quirk – and brought it slamming down towards the man's head again. Panting, as he found himself clutching the upper half of the chair he'd just fetched, Toshinori glared at the Villain who'd invaded Nana-sensei's home.

He couldn't allow the man to get past him; there was nothing else in the house besides him and Kotaru-chan, and given what the Villain had actually said to him… Toshinori gritted his teeth, and stood his ground.

Watching as one of the remaining Yakuza tried to run from him, Hisashi chuckled under his breath as he tossed the piece of debris he'd collected up into the air and caught it in his right hand. Pulling a pair of Quirks from within the greater whole of All For One, Hisashi hardened the surface of the debris all the farther, then added a generous amount of extra kinetic energy.

"Shoot," he muttered, satisfaction filling him as he watched the broken-off chunk of concrete smash its way through the spine of the fleeing yakuza so far below him.

Making his own way back down to the ground, Hisashi pulled the minor Flight Quirk back into All For One again, then set off in the direction of Nana-chan and Sora-kun. He'd already taken the precaution of marking them both with Beacon, which would make it a great deal more simple to find the pair of them, even as far-off as his dear friends had managed to get themselves during the course of their current work. Chuckling softly as he called up a speed Quirk from within the greater whole of All For One, Hisashi raced off to find his dear friends.

Or rather, one dear friend and one man whose annoyance he found more than a little amusing.

Catching sight of a fast-moving form out of the corner of her left eye, Nana turned just in time to find herself wrapped up in Hisashi-kun's arms.

"Well, I guess you're finished, Hisashi-kun," she said, laughing softly as Hisashi leaned in to nuzzle her left cheek.

He'd stopped kissing her, at her request, when she'd gotten married at least.
