I've been dealing with exhaustion lately, I've been feeling so tired as of late, I want to write but I had no energy outside of work. Here's something to read, it's perhaps not my best work, but it's what I got going for me.

Thirty minutes had passed by, Jane was sound asleep and Maura didn't want to wake her, she managed to slip out of Jane's arms without waking her. She headed towards the nursery where Frost and Korsak were rocking the girls.

"Jane's still sleeping?" Korsak looked up noticing Maura's presence.

"Yes, for once she didn't wake when I left the bed. I didn't realize you both would still be here."

"Can't seem to be able to leave them."

"Yeah seems that Korsak has a soft spot for your twins, we both do," Frost stood up, "but we probably should get going if we want to go out to eat. Plus if I don't leave I never will and then packing to move into the guest house will be delayed even more."

"I am glad that you decided to move in Frost, I know that makes Jane very happy. I think she felt like she had been losing touch with you."

Frost nodded, "It has been a while since Jane and I did anything together. Glad that's going to change," he shifted slightly to hand Mayveh over to Maura. "Do you need any help before we head out though?"

"I think I can handle it, or at least try to do so," Maura sat down in the chair Frost was previously sitting in.

"Remember Maura, we're just a phone call away if you need anything," Korsak nodded. "Are you able to hold both of them?" he asked wanting to make sure before he handed Evangeline over.

Maura nodded, "There's no harm in trying," she moved Mayveh into one arm while Korsak placed Evangeline in the other. "See, it isn't so hard," she smiled confidently.

Korsak grinned and took out his cell phone, "Mind if I take a picture? Angela would love this."

"As you wish Vince," Maura flashed a smile as Korsak took the picture.

"Absolutely precious," Korsak gave her shoulder a squeeze. "Remember what I said."

"You're a phone call away, got it," Maura nodded with a smile. Frost earned a pat on the back from Korsak.

"Alright, let's head out, I'm starving."

Maura observed as the two men left before focusing on the babies. "You girls are so loved, must feel good even though you don't realize any of this yet," she leaned back against the chair, enjoying the feel of holding both babies as they slept.

"So did you want to take both of our cars or just one?" Korsak asked Frost as they headed out of the Rizzoli-Isles house.

"I think taking one car would suffice just fine," Frost shrugged. "We should take your car, it's slightly bigger and perhaps you could help me pack at Crowe's place, I do have to tell him that I'm moving out though."

"We can always invite him out as well, sometimes he might drive me nuts, but technically he is one of the guys. I'm sure he wouldn't mind getting his whole apartment back," Korsak unlocked his door, being nice and holding the door open for Frost. He nodded his thanks and buckled himself in, he pulled out his cell phone, texting Crowe to see if he was available to go out to eat with him and Korsak.

"So where exactly were we going to eat?"

"Want to go to that one place you like, with the oysters?"

"The place I haven't been to in years, the place you don't like."

"It's not that I don't like it, it's just that I'd rather not eat oyster snot."

"You're missing out, but yes I would love to go there," Frost smiled, patting the older man's leg. "You're so kind to me Korsak."

"Hey, don't be getting mushy on me now Frost," Korsak chuckled.

"You know you like it," Frost laughed, just before he received a text from Crowe, asking where they were headed and he wouldn't mind joining them for dinner.

Back inside the house, Maura had found herself dozing off as she rocked the twins in her arms, she regrettably had to put them in their cribs. They had woken up the moment she laid them both down. "Oh, I didn't mean to wake either of you up, my arms were getting tired and I was dozing off, I didn't want to end up dropping you," she tried to speak softly to quiet them down.

She heard some hurried footsteps, turning to see Jane standing there, "Maura, hey, is everything okay?"

"Not really, I was holding them felt myself dozing off so I laid them down then they started to cry."

"Sounds like their hungry cries, I'll go get their milk bottles ready so you can help feed them," Jane rested a hand on Maura, giving her a warm smile before heading downstairs to fix their milk bottles she pumped earlier today.

Maura rested her hands one on each of the cribs, humming gently a song for them. The cries had gotten a little quieter, both of them looked at Maura. She decided to keep on with the humming until Jane got there, since it seemed to distract the babies slightly.

Maura stopped once Jane entered the room with the bottles of milk, "Don't stop on my behalf."

"I just thought I'd distract them for a bit," she pulled one of the girls out of the crib and went to sit down as Jane handed Maura a bottle of milk before doing the same with their other daughter.

"Seems to me that you have excellent humming skills."

"It's just humming Jane, nothing to swoon over."

Jane glanced at her wife and shrugged, "It's you Maura, you're always swoon worthy to me."

"Well for that I'm flattered," Maura decided to just accept the compliment as she continued feeding their child. "It must feel nice for them to not drink from you all of the time."

"I hate to say it but I find breast feeding to be quite comfortable and gets me to feel more connected to the twins, much different sensation than that breast pump. But me and my breasts won't always be available after I go back to work, so I might as well get used to pumping."

"True and it'll make the weaning them off of the breasts that much simpler in the future."

Soon the girls were done with their bottles, eyelids closed, "Looks like we've gotten them back to sleep," Jane spoke softly as she went to go put Mayveh back in the crib, Maura doing the same with Evangeline. "Sweet dreams our precious angels."

Maura followed Jane out of the room, Jane stopped to lean against the door, a warm smile on her face. "What is it?" Maura glanced at her wife in confusion.

"It's just that... you're so good with them. I'm glad that we're parents now, glad that I get to spend the next 18 years raising them with you by my side," Jane placed her hand on Maura's cheek. "I don't know where I would be in life if you weren't in it."

"Our lives would both be much different without one another. There's no one else that I would rather spend my life with. I love you so much."

"I love you too," Jane leaned down to capture Maura's lips in a kiss. "We should get downstairs and make us something to eat," Jane spoke against Maura's lips.

"Maybe you shouldn't distract yourself with me."

"You're an amazing distraction though," Jane smirked before pulling away. "Come on babe, let's see what we can make ourselves for dinner."

"Do you think Crowe would get offended if we ordered without him here?" Korsak asked Frost from across the table at the seafood restaurant.

"Korsak it's only been twenty minutes since we got here."

"Yeah, twenty minutes too long."

"He'll be here soon, he was finishing up with work when I contacted him," Frost leaned back, crossing his arms.

"Can we at least order an appetizer while we wait?" Korsak grumbled.

"Why are you so damn whiny?" he shook his head, but decided to wave the waiter over. "While we wait for our other guest, could we perhaps order an appetizer, fried calamari?"

The waiter nodded, "Of course anything else?"

"A shrimp cocktail," Korsak added, earning a smile from the man.

"I'll be right back," he gave a curt nod before heading back into the kitchen.

Soon after the appetizers were sent to the table, Darren Crowe entered the restaurant. "About time he showed up," Korsak nodded toward the man as he dipped his shrimp in the cocktail.

"Sorry that I'm late. Had some last minute work things that I needed to take care of."

"It's alright Crowe, what matters is that you're here now," Frost reassured him.

Crowe took a seat next to Frost, "So what brings us here today?"

"I had something that I wanted to discuss with you, but why don't you get some food in you first, you must be hungry."

"I did have a pretty long day, even forgot about lunch."

"Could be because all of your good employees are off today," Korsak added.

"True," Crowe sipped at his cup of ice water, having one of the fried calamari on the appetizer plate. The waiter came back to the table now taking their order for the entrée. Korsak ordered the tilapia fish platter with mixed vegetables and rice, Frost of course ordered the oysters with a variety of dips and Crowe got the lobster. The men ate quietly, Frost felt himself being glanced at several times by Crowe.

As their dinner was done, they had decided to order dessert, as they were waiting Crowe shifted slightly in his seat. "So Frost, care to tell me now why you wanted me to join you both for dinner, beside the obvious reason that Frankie couldn't be here because he's on his honeymoon."

"That's not a reason I invited you out with me and Korsak. I had been talking to Maura and Jane and well, I really like spending time with their babies and they understood that. And well, they sort of offered me to stay in the guest house so I can help out as much as I'd please. Don't get me wrong, it's not that I don't enjoying living with you, but this is a great opportunity to connect with the twins and to reconnect with Jane and Maura."

Crowe listened to what Frost had to say and he nodded, a slight frown on his face, "I understand completely Frost, would I prefer you stay with me, of course, but you do have to do what's right for you. You've been a really great roommate and I hate to see you leave," he rested his hand on Frost's leg. "Promise we'll still be as close as we gotten since you've moved in."

Frost smirked, "Yeah that sounds like a fair thing to promise. I've liked the way you've been lately... personality wise."

"Surely it doesn't make up for all the shit I said to any of you guys, but I'd like to think I redeemed myself."

"Well it's safe to say I don't think you're a complete asshole anymore," he spoke with a soft smile, earning a squeeze on the knee from Crowe.

Korsak watched their interaction, hating to interrupt, "Uh, should I leave you two alone?" he asked, eyebrow raised.

"What are you on about Vince?" Crowe turned to look at the older man.

"Nothing, never mind, I do think I am going to use the restroom, and then give Angela a call, see how she's doing," Korsak stood up, excusing himself from the table.

"His brain seems clouded. Is he doing alright today?" Crowe asked Frost, in concern.

"He seems like he's doing fine, but who really knows, you know."

"Yeah, I am going to miss you though, and that's odd to say because I see you all of the time at work."

Frost heard Crowe talk, but noticed how his hand gently rubbed against his leg. "Crowe, is there something that you need to tell me?" he asked, curious at the man's movement.

"No, why would you say that?"

"Because your hand has been on my leg for over five minutes."

At these words Crowe pulled his hand away, "I'm just going to miss you, that's all."

"So there's no reason you rather me stay living with you?"

"No, not besides you being great company, it'll be nice getting my bachelor pad back," he smirked, sighing in relief as the waiter came with the dessert. "Oh look, time for dessert."

Frost looked at the molten lava chocolate cake with ice cream in front of them, before looking at Crowe, "I know you said you didn't want dessert, but did you want some, they gave me two extra spoons."

"Sure, It does look pretty appetizing, sharing is caring after all."

"Yeah it is," Frost took a bite of the cake, his mind trying to figure out what's going on with Crowe. It was probably nothing, Crowe just seemed to be pretty lonely, but one thing was for sure, Darren Crowe wasn't attracted to Frost. Was he?

An hour after Jane and Maura finished their dinner, they had retired to couch after feeding and changing the twins. Jane was watching a movie, snuggled underneath the blanket with Maura. She was really intrigued by the movie that she didn't realize Maura had fallen asleep on the couch until her head fell against Jane's shoulder.

Jane kissed the top of her head, wrapping an arm around her, giving her a small squeeze. She enjoyed this moment, everything was silent except the sound coming from the television. Jane wished that it could be like this forever, but her family would visit of course, and Kate and Todd were going to come back to stay here after the first two weeks of the new twins being home. She was grateful for all of the help she would be getting throughout their daughters' lives. It takes a village after all.

Jane focused on back on the movie but it was short lived as her phone vibrated, signaling that she got a text message. She picked up her phone from the side table, looking at the message. It was Frankie.

Hope things are going well, Ma told me you guys headed home with the twins today. How are they enjoying their home life? Susie had fallen asleep it's 2 in the morning over here, but I'm like wide awake. You can call me if you'd like, if you aren't busy of course.

Jane was debating whether to just text him back or give him a call, she chose the latter option. She slowly got off the couch, tucking Maura in underneath the blanket, leaning down to press a kiss to her cheek. Jane went to go sit down on the bar stool in the kitchen, dialing Frankie's number. He picked up on the first ring, making Jane smirk, just imagining her brother just staring at the phone until she got back to him.

"Jane, hey. I'm quite glad that you called. I take it you aren't busy then?"

"Me, no. Everyone else is sleeping, so it's just me. Is Susie enjoying the trip so far?"

"Oh yeah it's great, we did some sight seeing the first two days then it had been raining so we spent the day today in the hotel. Just you know... enjoying each other."

Jane rolled her eyes at her brother's words, "Uh yeah, I got your drift, doing what newlyweds usually do. The good stuff."

"Great stuff actually," he chuckled, "But I know you don't want to hear about me having sex with my wife. So are things good at home?"

"Yes, please spare me the details. Things are great, babies are adjusting quite nicely to their new surrounding. I still can't get over how cute they are, and Maura was feeding them, she seemed so natural at it, too bad she can't help with the breast feeding part, I know she'd want to be included in that kind of connection as well. She is doing better about it than she was when we were at the hospital. Maura seems very glad to be home, we both are."

"That's good news, I was hoping that you guys would adjust well to things, your new lives..." Frankie paused for a moment, Jane was about to ask if something happened when he spoke up again, but not to her. "I didn't wake you, did I?"

"You'd didn't technically wake me up, the bed felt cold and I was confused for a moment, who are you talking to?" Susie asked in the background.

"It's Jane, did you want to talk to her?"

"Only if you come back to bed, so you can warm the bed back up."

Jane heard some shuffling for a few moments before she could tell Frankie had handed Susie the phone. "Hey Susie, if you want to be alone with my brother we can talk later, if you'd like."

"I've been alone for three days with him, I can spare some time to talk to you," Susie smiled on the other side of the phone. "So, tell me everything that I've missed in Boston so far..."

Let me know what you thought. I guess this chapter wasn't too bad, but you get to decide for yourselves. I'm uncertain the next time you'll find a story post from me and any of my three active stories, can't make any promises apparently.
