WISH
What do you wish for ?
Naruto sits up from the grass, looks up into the illuminated sky of stars, and gestures excitedly. His right index finger is pointed towards the sky, while his left hand tugs on Sasuke' shirt.
"All right ! What did I tell you ? See, I knew that there was gonna be a wishing star tonight ! Hah ! Pay up, Sasuke!" says Naruto, while smiling with glee.
Sasuke had his usual look of apathy on his face. He casually glanced up into the sky. Sure enough, streaking among a canopy of stars, was a meteor, or a "wishing star", as Naruto had called it.
"So ? You dragged me out here to some abandoned hilltop, made me wait for one whole hour on this chilly night, just to show me that ? You really are an idiot, Naruto. If anything, you should be paying me !" Sasuke says, indignantly, refusing to pay. He turns around and begins to walk downhill.
Here in the sky was a meteor, and Sasuke was acting as if it was the most common thing in the world. Naruto shakes his head, and protests.
" Hey! We made a bet ! You pay 100 yen to me if a shooting star appeared tonight, and it did, just as Iruka-sensei said it would ! He says that these stars are very rare, cause it makes your wishes come true…"
Naruto suddenly jumps up. He looks at Sasuke with glazed eyes.
"Which reminds me ! Make a wish, quick !" Naruto runs towards Sasuke, and stops him from leaving. He pulls on Sasuke's shirt, and makes him sit back on the grass.
"Hey…I don't believe in stup…."
Sasuke's sentence is stopped by the sight of Naruto, closing his eyes, and wishing as earnestly as possible. Jeez. He's 18, but he could really act like a five year old at times. What's he wishing for anyway ? An endless ramen supply ?
A little smile tugs at the corners of Sasuke's mouth. Ah, hell. Just this once, to humor Naruto. Sasuke closes his eyes and wishes too.
For a moment, only the sound of the rustling leaves and crickets could be heard.
After a while, Naruto got up, brushed his shorts, and gave Sasuke a grin.
"So, what'd you wish for ?" Naruto asks. He lies back on the carpet of grass, tracing little invisible spirals in the air.
Sasuke sits up, and inches towards Naruto, who was still absent mindedly tracing invisible spirals in the air.
"Naruto…"
Naruto turns his head towards Sasuke.
"What ?"
At that point, Sasuke did the unthinkable.
He leaned in, and kissed Naruto, lightly, on the lips.
It wasn't deep, or passionate, just light, like a brush on the lips.
Naruto turned beetroot red. He didn't know how to react or what to say. What the hell just happened ? His brain struggled to process the entire incident.
Sasuke smirked. "Well, I got my wish tonight."

Aaah ! I am melting with fluff tonight ! Usually I am dark and cynical...I can't believe I just wrote that...and I'm supposed to be studying !
