This is my first time making a fanfic so I'm sorry if the writing isn't up to snuff.
I want to clarify somethings before the chapter begins so you know what to expect.
This story will include Canon, filler, parts of fanon that I like and some changes to the way chakra works. For example in this story the five major chakra natures will interact as follows:
Fire-Wind-Earth-Lightning-Water-Fire.
Finally somethings this story will NOT be: A self-insert, a harem fic, an overpowered mc that curbstomps kage level shinobi while going through puberty. I'm not really a fan of humor in fics so don't expect much.
While the gamer will get strong as the story goes on don't expect them to start dropping 'zingers' while they suplex the narrative and characters around them.

"Hmm.."
The Gamer System's ability to gather information was fed into my mind. There was no display that I could see or read like a screen or scroll, instead I simply knew it as if remembering a recent trail of thought.
The best way that I could explain it was to have a whirlpool injected into your muscles forcing them to flex, but replace 'muscle' with brain and 'flex' with think.
It had been a day now since I acquired this ability and I still wasn't sure if it was all in my head. Maybe it was simply a vivid and overactive imagination or perhaps the stress of starting my final year at Konoha's Shinobi Academy has left me unhinged.
Whatever the explanation, I had quickly discarded the notion of revealing this momentary, hopefully, delusion to anyone.
The last thing I needed was to be thrown into some Yamanaka asylum or worse, kicked out of the academy for being mentally unfit for the trials and tribulations expected of shinobi and kunoichi alike.
For now, I have chosen to settle for 'recalling' and reviewing my available information.

Title: A title grants the bearer passive and/or active abilities that cannot be acquired through typical means.
That one seemed pretty straight forward, but what my title meant and how I received it was throwing me through multiple shuriken loops.
'Info: The Gamer Eclipse.'
The Gamer Eclipse: A title granted by the Sage of Six Paths, which allows the bearer to experience life as a game.
It was difficult to accept that someone I once believed to be a myth actually existed. Even more bewildering was the possibility of this shinobi legend taking an interest in me for some, as of yet, unknown purpose and reason.

This section while being the most familiar and easily understood, still harboured some odd quirks.
One: it 'ranked' me as Genin even though I've yet to graduate from the academy.
Two: I was pretty sure that 'Sennin' wasn't really a rank but more of an achievement that few shinobi and kunoichi have accomplished.
Three: the 'secondary ranks' were, as far as I knew, more layman terms and less official rankings.
I get the general sentiment. There is enough of a distinction between shinobi within each rank to make note of it, but it was still a bit much to take in all at once.
Rubbing the sides of my head did help with the growing headache though, so there was that I suppose.

Level: The representation of an individual's accumulated experience. Each point of Attribute(Base) adds .1 to Level.
That didn't really explain much, but later sections did go a bit more in depth.

Value Points: The representation of an individual's available energies.
Lifeforce Energy Points: The representation of an individual's health. Each point of Vitality adds 10 points, and regenerates .1 of Lifeforce Energy per minute.
Physical Energy Points: The representation of an individual's physical stamina. Each point of Endurance adds 10 points, and regenerates .1 of Physical Energy per minute.
Spiritual Energy Points: The representation of an individual's spiritual stamina. Each point of Willpower adds 10 points, and regenerates .1 of Spiritual Energy per minute.
Chakra Energy Points: A type of energy created by combining Physical Energy and Spiritual Energy.
Placing my hands together and closing both eyes, I began to mold some chakra.

Using only half the molded energy, a small burst of chakra escaped from my body and I opened both eyes to look around.
The small bed positioned next to one of the corners in my bedroom still had a light blue cover and white pillow. The chest drawer opposite to it still had notches made by kunai, and everything else around me looked the same so it couldn't be a genjutsu.
"Hmm.."
Then again, a powerful enough genjutsu wouldn't be so easily broken.

I stood up from my bed prepared for the start of this year's shinobi academy. Stepping into the organic-lit hallway and walking down a set of creaking stairs, I made my way to the kitchen.
There leaning over a large pot was a thin woman, wearing a simple beige kimono, busy making this morning's breakfast.
The gruel she worked on which fed some 30 or so children, though unappealing was filling and nutritious. I could vouch for that even without the gamer system.

The wizened woman flickered her gaze towards me, acknowledging my presence before returning her attention to the morning meal.

Walking towards a wrapped lunch box placed atop the counter she was using, I stopped to check its stats.

Raising my head, I looked up to The Elder Matron.

Walking around the counter top, I stopped in front of her and waited.
"You're far too soft. If you don't toughen up soon the world will run you through," she spoke while using a dry towel to wipe my face clean.
"Hmm.."
"Now go, I still have much to do."
With that she turned and ignored my presence.
Jumping from rooftop to rooftop, I observed the stats of civilians and the occasional shinobi or kunoichi I could see. As I passed by a merchant selling their wares to some other civilian, I took the opportunity to gather their information.

It seemed that levels 1 - 20 were common amongst the civilian population.
Maybe this 'Gamer' power was some sort of bloodline, but I have never heard of something like it and the research I was able to conduct revealed nothing.
Not that I had access to Konoha's archives.
Thus far the only thing it appeared to do was show me my 'stats' and that of others.
Yet, the difference between ranks could not be more apparent as I landed on a building not far from the academy, where below me a small child walked near a tree.

Landing in front of the Academy's gates with a few minutes to spare, I made my way through the building and into my assigned classroom.
It was full, and buzzing.
Glancing around, I could only recognize about a third of the students. Every year classes were merged with those who did not drop or were kicked out of the program. Which made it difficult to form lasting bonds with anyone.
Walking down some steps and towards the only remaining spot, I stopped at the center row where a returning classmate of mine sat in the middle.
They held their head in their left palm while casually twirling a kunai in their right hand.
"Nisshoku, right? Cutting it a bit close aren't you?" they spoke in a chirpy tone as I took a seat to their right.

"Sorry, I didn't get much sleep. The anxiety of finally starting our last year here has really gotten to me, and Ive been dealing with a mild headache since waking up that won't to let up."
I wasn't lying, using my right fingers to massage the side of my head wasn't doing much now nor was I any less worried.
If anything, the curved kunai this bout of delirium kept throwing my way was only making it worse.

"Cute," I replied without thinking, and wiped the smile off my face.
Seeing her look of surprise, I turned back to the curly haired class instructor who seemed like they were about to speak.
And they did.
After a few minutes.
A few awkward silent minutes.
"Okay class, please settled down now," she held a slight tremble in her voice almost as if about to cry.
"My name is Suzume, and I'll be overseeing your final year at the Konoha Shinobi Academy, yay," she sniffed.

That time the intrusive thought was so forceful that I physically flinched.
It was like one of the legendary toad sage's summoning took a page from Konoha's Noble Green Beast and dynamic-entry kicked the ever living shit out of my prior train of thought.
"What's wrong Nissho-kun, feeling jumpy?" I could feel her warm breath on my left ear as she whispered. I might have even given a reaction, were it not for the pounding amphibian-belly in my head.
Still.
Nissho-kun?
Where did that come from?
I shifted my eyes towards her, and there she was with a look resembling that of a cat having just caught a canary.

This was more an introductory chapter than anything really. The next chapter will cover the rest of the Gamer System, I didn't want to front load so much of it in the first, but it still feels like it covered a bit too much.
I'm currently re-watching the Naruto Anime from beginning to end. I'm at episode 51 when Choji fights Dosu, and wow i forgot how much I liked the series.
Anyways, life is really busy so to anyone who bothers to read this know that updates will be sporadic.
