I don't own the characters: Lex or Scar (as well as other characters that will appear eventually). I really admire their creators and respect them; this fanfic is just for fun.

I answered all your reviews until the end of the chapter :)

Hello again, after a long, long time.

A lot of things have happened to me in these months? wow... I hope it doesn't take so long for the next update...

I want to thank everyone for the support in this crazy story, especially my beta who supported me in correcting this chapter, despite she is also a busy person, she made a time to help me.

And I know I said it, but really, thanks to all of you for your lovely comments, kudos and views!

Scar arrived to the warehouse and, to his surprise, it was empty.

He slammed his fist against a wall repeatedly and started to curse in his own language: shrieks, clicks, grunting, everything seemed to get out all at once, ¿was it so hard to stay put in the damn room?

After managing his anger, he went out to search for his humans.

And meanwhile, Emma and Daniel were walking towards the same direction where, minutes before, their aunt had fought in. But when they reached their destiny, they didn't find anything but blood, bullet shells, and the ceremonial spear that belonged to Lex.

"We have to find her". Daniel said, picking up the spear. "Let's search the whole place, we have to-" looking at his sister, he stopped his words, watching her agitated breathing and her expression full of terror. "Emma?" he called to her hesitantly.

"On… the…corner…" mumbled Emma, as if she thought that even with the softest sound, the creature would explode in rage.

"What the fuck? What is that thing?" yelped Daniel, trying to grip hard the spear with hands that shook from the weight.

Both children observed the huge (ehhh no me sé la palabra para abrazacaras :[ ), even bigger and more aggressive that the normal ones; it was there, lurking in the bleak shadows of one corner, its long and viscous phalanges curving from up the ground and tail waving through the air like a feline before attacking.

"Wha- what do we do?" Emma stuttered, seeking refuge in her brother's shadow.

There wasn't anyone else with them in that moment They were alone and trapped with the murderous creature.

A voice inside his head started Daniel out of his stupor. It was his own, begging him to run away run, run, run!. He looked at his sister, noting how she only needed the impulse, maybe even just a glance, to run with him through the halls; but even though the most logic action seemed to be to start a race against the creature, Daniel had the feeling it was a terrible idea.

Nevertheless, he decided to throw his common sense out of the window and, barely holding up the spear in his right hand, he grabbed at his sister hand to prevent her from running.

"Emma", whispered Daniel, barely audible. He quickly scanned the place, gaze falling to Fred's gun near his sister's feet. "Take the spear and give me the gun. Slowly".

The girl nodded, and slowly leaned down, picking up the gun and giving it to Daniel, who passed to her the heavy spear, which Emma struggled to keep balanced.

Out of the few useful things they had done in the facility, Martínez had taught them how to use a weapon, which allowed Daniel to notice almost right away that the gun didn't had the safety on, aiming to the [inserte palabra aquí].

Then, he took the shot.

Emma screamed with terror at seeing the horrendous creature lunge at them.

"Don't run!" Daniel yelled with urgency at her, still shooting at the creature. The ricochet form each shot made Daniel's hands go up, but he persisted.

"By the wall!" Exclaimed Emma.

1, 2, 3, shots, and all of them failed, the vermin seemed to dodge the bullets with surprising agility, and it moved like a slippery cockroach along the ground, near the walls of the building. "Where is it?!" Daniel shouted desperately.

"There!" shrieked Emma, terror invading her. The creature lunged towards her, opening its members and unfolding the long and bulbous appendage to adhere itself to Emma's face.

And, finally, he did it.

Daniel managed to hit it with a bullet, breaking one of its phalanges and triggering a spattering of acid blood falling on Emma's sweater, eating away at the fabric.

The girl felt the heat of the acid's reaction and threw her garment at the ground.

Daniel pulled the trigger and his legs started to shake when he took notice of the lack of bullets in the gun's magazine. Running out of options, he considered asking his sister for the spear, but inciting the […] with their movement.

They both stayed still, without breathing, waiting for the worst.

That never came.

In its most basic instinct, the creature reasoned with itself. It could impregnate these children, but it was probable they wouldn't resist the gestation and it wasn't worth it to try at the risk of death or losing another phalange. Resigned, the creature halted its attacks, already planning on finding another unfortunate soul big enough to bear the gestation of its queen, and it slithered back to the shadows, disappearing out of view.

"What was that thing?" Emma asked with fright.

"I- I don't know". Answered Daniel, feeling agitated still.

Emma walked slowly to the long appendage off the […], looking how it seemed to be a foot and a half of longitude, with a few inches in thickness.

"It's so…gross". The girl said, leaning down and observing the finger-like thing up close, noting how it was moving a little still.

Scar followed the screams and shots, feeling glad to see the children unharmed. After inspecting the place, noting in the blood in the walls and the ground, his attention focused in the fuming hole in the ground, caused by the acid blood of the […]. Scar faltered, where the fuck did that even come from?

The children began stepping away of the phalange as the predator got closer to inspect it up close.

"Oh shit". For the first time in a very long time, Scar felt as haunted as he felt when he was along Lex in the pyramid's tunnels, listening to the Alien Queen's roars in the distance.

"My brother managed to tear off that finger-thingy to the black thing that attacked us". Emma explained.

"Where is it?" Scar asked.

"It escaped…" Answered Daniel, glancing at a bullet in a pool of blood and reaching down to take it "I thought there wasn't more" he muttered to himself.

Scar grunted with annoyance Just what I neededhe thought. "And Lex? Where is she?"

"She went after the monster that killed mom" Emma said.

The predator looked the girl that was carrying Lex's ceremonial spear, and stretched a hand out to take it. Emma passed it to him, and he couldn't remember a time where he had felt more helpless than now.

And the answer was obvious to him. Lex had been kidnapped.

Scar roared with rage and desperation. Then, he crouched to the ground and put his fingers in the pool of blood. What should he do now? The predators had gotten to Lex and he was sure they had already left.

And there was the other problem, it was his duty to alert that the queen was probably already gestating inside someone; he expanded the metallic lid of his wrist device and sent out a warning to the elite of what had happened, knowing that the signal would arrive soon. An out-of-control hive in their favorite hunting ground wasn't convenient to them.

"We have to go for aunt Lex" Emma said. Scar was too immersed to notice, lamenting the course that the situation had taken. He knew just what those predators where capable of; he knew they wouldn't stop at hurting her. Lex would die.

He clenched his fists. He wouldn't allow it, he'd go after them even if it cost him his life.

"Scar, what do we do now?" Daniel asked.

The warrior stood up from the ground. It was only him and the two humans in the building, which clearly didn't represent an advantage. Or, well, maybe a negative advantage-

"Give us a weapon". Emma pleaded.

"We'll help you! We'll do anything, I just don't want my aunt to die the same way mom did" Daniel said, eyes filling up with tears.

Scar wasn't aware humans could cry for anything else apart from sadness or terror. He had fought with human prey with the same eyes, filled by tears and fright, before. But in the little human's eyes he couldn't find trace of those emotions.

"It's too dangerous for two weepy pups". The predator said to them mercilessly.

"Then we won't cry anymore" Emma affirmed, already looking decided, wiping at her eyes. Her brother was other thing altogether, Scar was suddenly reminded of the way he had bolted out of the room when Scar entered it by the roof, leaving his human companion alone, without caring of anything else but his own safety.

Scar clearly didn't trust them, at least not like partners or warriors, but at the same time, if he wanted things to work out, he had to test them or accept that they weren't capable enough of surviving what was coming.

With that in mind, and though he cherished Lex, he had to know by himself if those pups deserved to be saved.

In only a few seconds, the scene changed completely for the two kids. The predator grabbed little Emma by the nape of her neck, lifting her up from the ground without breaking a sweat. He then let Lex's spear fall to the ground, kicking it to Daniel.

"If you want this human pup to keep her life, fight me". He said, his voice carrying like a sinister and deep echo across the room; Scar was reminded of an old game from his infanthood; his father used to play fight his little kids to test their worth and, though it wasn't serious, it always used to induce in them a certain insecurity and fear.

Daniel lifted the spear "Why are you doing this?" He asked, clearly confused. In front of him, Emma started to kick her legs.

"Daniel!" She yelled, the grip on her nape never getting any tighter or looser, but keeping steady still. "Please!" The girl started to plead, fear coursing through her veins. Her hands tried to claw at Scar's arm in a desperate attempt at getting away.

"Or run" Scar said to Daniel, ignoring Emma's begging. Then, he raised his arm higher, lifting Emma more. "You'll live…but I'll tear her head off".

Daniel didn't know what took a hold of him, but suddenly he ran up to Scar with the spear tight in his hands, and he attacked him up front. "Put her down, you bastard! Or I swear I'll kill you!"

Scar took the spear, knowing the kid had taken the right choice.

Daniel tried to tussle with the predator, but he pushed him to the ground with ease. To his surprise, the kid rose up, furious, and with only his tiny fists, no weapons in sight, he launched himself against him.

No one with a sound mind would had take such a decision, not even the boldest Yautja's pups would have dared, but Daniel was more than willing to give his life for Emma's.

Scar dropped the girl and pushed Daniel again to stop his useless punches. "Shut up and follow me". He said, already walking away through the halls.

"Why did you do that, dude? I thought you were going to kill my sister!" Daniel exclaimed.

"It was a test and do not call me dude." Scar said, he'd had the time to teach them something about respect to those two pups.

"Well, don't include me in those tests of yours, anymore" Emma complained, annoyed.

They were Lex's kin no doubt.

When they arrived to the room, Scar lifted both kids to the roof and the he climbed up himself.

He still didn't know what to do with them while he looked for Lex, but he knew leaving them behind wasn't an option.

"Scar" the enormous figure of the predator made itself visible in front of them. It was Falconer, who had been sitting on Scar's ship all this time. He jumped down, facing them straight away.

Tracker appeared behind him, camouflage dispersing away letting see his corpulent figure; Scar went from surprised to enraged in record time, roaring at them furiously.

"I just wish you're better off than your partner" Tracker said, ready to let Falconer entertain himself for a while.

Scar walked in front of the children, keeping them safe behind him. Then, he unfolded his own spear, activating its long blades.

In another situation, the best he could do was to analyze the movements of his rivals, but them didn't have a fighting style, always managing to cheat their way to victory stabbing in the back.

"Stay behind me" He said to the kids.

Falconer was the first to attack, throwing his spear, but Scar dodged the attack and, with his wrist's blades, he wounded the Bad Blood, puncturing his side. Scar felt the adrenaline in his very blood, a vertiginous impulse taking hold of his extremities.

Falconer roared furiously and pushed him to the ground with overwhelming force. Then, he put his hand on Scar's neck and started to strangle him, sinking his nails on the skin. Falconer was taller, heavier, and stronger than him. He hit him without mercy just to grab him again by the neck with both hands, lifting him and shoving him to the ground. He then activated his blades, lounging to Scar, who barely managed to interject the attack with his own blades.

Meanwhile, Emma was grasping at her brother, who hugged her tighter against his chest. The scene seemed so unreal, both predators fighting so seamlessly despite their sizes.

The boy tried to search for something that could help his partner, but he only found Tracker aiming his plasmacaster at Scar.

Daniel, who had kept Fred's gun and the crimson bullet he had found in the ground, tore away from Emma, firing the gun to the powerful predator, which surprisingly hit his head, but bounced off his biomask.

Tracker grunted with disgust. To him, it was an insult that something so insignificant as Daniel had dared interrupt him

Scar realized what the kid had done, and used the distraction and all of his strength to get away from Falconer's hold until he finally got himself away, just to see Tracker walking menacingly towards Daniel. He could split him in half!

The idea overwhelmed him and he ran swiftly to the predator, pushing him to edge of the building. Tracker fell and his body plunged to the emptiness, barely getting hold of the ledge to stop his fall, roaring wildly.

Daniel grabbed Emma and together, they moved away from the fight, knowing now that the gun was really empty.

Scar aimed at Falconer and started firing at him with his plasmacaster. He wouldn't be able to keep fighting them for much longer and he wasn't even sure if it was a real fight. Both Bad Bloods seemed to be taking pleasure in hurting him, just like they had done with Lake.

He started to feel tired, sore.

Tracker took advantage of Scar's distraction and climbed up to the roof. Meanwhile, Falconer hid behind the air ducts.

"Watch out!" Screamed Daniel just as Scar felt an impact at his right side. Tracker had pierced him with a serrated spear. They wouldn't stop against him, and wouldn't even take the bother to kill him quickly with his plasmacasters.

Scar ripped the spear out, the pain was overwhelming, the exposed flesh pulsed and burned, and he barely managed to open his ship's door.

Suddenly, Emma fell to the floor. Daniel shrieked horrified, Falconer's blade having pierced through the girl's left side.

Scar took her in his arms and pulled Daniel to the ship's interior. Then, he fell heavily in a metallic chair, pressing at various buttons in the board that made the ship start to lift itself up the ground.

He felt ashamed of what was basically running away, but it was his duty to keep the kids safe.

The predators followed him in their own ship, Daniel barely holding Emma up, everything in the place was hanging by a thread, the ship swaying precariously.

Daniel saw bursts of fire across the ship's window that were the Bad Blood's charges. He hugged his sister fiercely, sobbing at the blood that was seeping to the floor in a pool each time bigger.

Then, the whole place filled with smoke and Scar knew they were doomed; a hit had reached the rear of his ship.

Daniel started to pray, seeking comfort in all the deities he could think of, he cared little of being in an actual spaceship with an alien who knew where. He just wanted to see his sister awake and for the Bad Bloods to leave them alone.

Scar lost one of the motors and started searching with his gaze for a safe place to land, nearing the coast. He crashed against a bunch palm trees and Daniel draped himself over Emma, trying to shield her and hitting his head against the left wall of the ship, a thin thread of blood pouring down his face.

The Bad Bloods' ship stopped in front of them and Scar arose from the seat to the kids while the two other predators stalked towards them.

"My sister…she's-"

Scar could see the weak heartbeat of the girl with the special vision of his biomask and deployed his medicompy, pulling out a small flask filled with a light blue liquid.

The predator took out the spear from the girl's side before the stunned eyes of Daniel. Next, he poured the flask's liquid in the wound, making the blood stop immediately.

"What do we do now?" Daniel asked in a trembling voice.

"I'm going to bring the ship down to distract them and you are going to take this girl away".

"But…what about you?"

"Just do as I say!" grunted Scar "If you two had stayed in the room, none of this would have happened, but now…" Scar stopped.

Daniel seemed to shrink and Scar walked to the ship's gate.

"It's okay, I'll take Emma". Daniel said between sobs.

"Shut up!" yelled Scar, turning back to the kid, "You must be strong and stop crying!"

"I know!"

Scar watched the predators and looked at Daniel one last time. "My medicine stopped the bleeding, she'll be okay, but you two have to go".

"Thank you" Daniel said, looking at Scar "Please, find my aunt". He begged.

Scar nodded and went out of the ship, extending his spear and walking towards the others predators.

But Tracker had grown tired of melee fights; he just wanted to finish off Scar once and for all, so because he didn't care for honorable combat, he fired at his left leg without mercy.

Scar fell to his knees.

Falconer got closer to him and with a punch he tore Scar's biomask off; Tracker kicked him in the abdomen and then he took Scar's plasmacaster, throwing it away from him.

The two of them were having fun with the other Yautja's pain, emitting annoying clicks full of scorn and mirth.

Daniel looked quickly at Emma and he carried her on his back. His legs almost gave out because of the weight but he had to be strong for her, so he went down the ramp on Scar's ship and left the girl for a moment to go back for Lex's spear.

Tracker looked at Daniel coming back to Emma and, still feeling annoyed by the shot the kid had fired at him, started to walk towards him.

"Shit" whispered Scar in his own tongue.

Daniel kept his gaze on the predator while he stood in front of Emma. He was terrified but he stood his ground, refusing to get away from her.

"What a stupid little pup" Tracker snatched the spear away from Daniel and he grabbed him by the neck. "Why do you strive so much to protect them…? They are such weak creatures" He asked Scar while Daniel kicked at the air.

"I'm going to kill you" Scar grunted and Falconer nailed down his spear on his right leg. A pained grimace formed in Scar's jaw, greenish blood pooling from his wounds.

He didn't even asked himself why weren't they killing him already, he was positive they kept torturing him to amuse themselves.

"You're going to kill me?" You can't even stand by yourself, you are a disgrace" Tracker said, throwing the kid at the sand of the beach; everything seemed to stop for the warrior, he forgot the pain the moment he saw the little one bounce off in the sand, he pulled out the spear in his leg and, with an animal fury, he pierced through the neck of the smug Falconer with his blades, detaching them from his wrist to finish killing him off.

Tracker roared with an all-compassing fury and hostility and he readied his plasmacaster, but his shot saw itself interrupted when a familiar roar resounded between the shadows. The Bad Blood retracted, Scar's vision went blurry and dark all at once and, when the world seemed to clear up, he only managed to see Tracker dragging Falconer to their ship.

Then, he noticed a new figure before him.

The camouflage mantle went away from up the head to the toes, like a tidal wave that left the rocks in sight between the water. Scar recognized the armor of Colt¸ who was a [bleeding] predator, a few years older than Scar and, thus, more experienced. He could already hunt by himself.

His biomask had a triangular design, with some metallic decorations in the form of small spikes that crossed through the middle of the mask. It was a few inches taller than Scar too, his eyes were of a greenish blue and his dreadlocks were light blue, which make him stand out from other Yautja warriors.

Scar staggered to his feet and picked up Daniel in his arms, taking him to Emma. The kid was alive, unconscious, but alive. Scar breathed a quiet sigh of relief.

"I didn't expect to see you here, Scar. You were supposed to be hunting in another planet". The other Yautja's figure came out as imposing.

Scar faced him straight away. He was completely dumbfounded, hadn't expected Wolf deciding to trust in him after he had practically insult him. Even still, he didn't understand why he would send Colt and not an elite Yautja.

"So…Wolf sent you" Scar said. It was hard to keep standing; all of his body was in pain.

"No, I was hunting near" Colt answered. "Did you decide to suddenly play babysitter to those ooman pups?" He asked, pointing at the children.

"They're under my protection now".

"Wolf is furious with you" Colt said. Scar feigned not hearing him and started to check out his ship although there wasn't much he could do, it was evident it was useless; he wouldn't be able to make it work again. The whole front part was destroyed by the impact in the sand, the frontal glass shattered and the motors turned to rubbish. "Wolf sent an Aj'ba to your mission and surprise…You weren't there" Colt continued.

Not having detected Scar's signal in planet CBP-23, they sent the [bleeding] Aj'ba to investigate what was happening, which wasn't common among predators, but since there wasn't no trace of Scar having used his auto-destruction device from being killed in combat, Wolf started to suspect that the young predator had abandoned his first hunt in solitary. Which was exactly what he had done.

"I'm going after them" Scar said, putting Daniel next to Emma in his ship.

"You're so arrogant; you seriously believe you alone can go against the Bad Blood. Just look at you, if it weren't from me, you would be dead".

Scar laughed "Do you think you scared them off? Surely Berserker ordered them away".

Colt crossed his arms "I should have left them kill you. Anyways, you go back to Yautja Prime and Wolf will do it himself".

"I don't care for it".

"The elite do". Colt walked towards Scar, "They'll care little that you survived, barely, a fight against the Bad Bloods, when they realized that you disobeyed them".

Scar contemplated for a moment. It hurt to acknowledge it, but Colt was right, he just wasn't a rival to them. The Bad Bloods were even bigger and stronger than him. He had managed to keep his life but he was sure part of the reason of it was because they had grown too confident during the fight.

And that wasn't going to happen again.

"The radar of our ships can detect the Bad Blood's signal. If I go now, I'll be able to reach them" Scar said.

Even Colt, a predator confident in himself, knew Scar's plan sounded like suicide. They weren't prepared to deal with the Bad Bloods and the evidence was in Scar himself almost dying fighting them.

"If you go alone they'll kill you".

"Then let's go together. You're an imbecile but you know how to fight".

Colt's instinct sang just imagining the glory that would bring him killing a Bad Blood. "You only wish for my help because yours is no more than useless pup". Colt said, detecting Scar's true intentions.

"Just tell me if you're in or not".

"I'm older than you, the responsibility of the hunt would fall on my shoulder and I'd have to alert our superiors, and I don't think they would be too fond of you participating in it":

There wasn't time for that, if they didn't part now, the possibility of finding them would go down drastically. "I'm willing to assume all responsibility for it".

"I don't know" Colt crossed his arms nervously "Why should I help you?"

"Because when we kill a Bad Blood, you'll go home with all the trophies".

Colt's eyes grew bright underneath his mask. It seemed like a reasonable deal, splendidly convenient for him. "The glory will be mine and you won't get in the way" Warned the predator.

Scar didn't have plans of going back to his planet; he just wanted to rescue Lex.

Colt was temperamental, hostile, had the sense of humor of a pickle and was the complete opposite of Lake, which meant Scar couldn't treat him the same way.

So he decided to make things clear. "You won't touch the oomans pups. And neither my [notable] one".

"So there is a female…that's the cause of your rush" Colt meditated for a few moments. "Alright, I'm down".

Scar went back to pick up his biomask and lifted the children to Colt's ship, laying them down in one of the seats, and he started to dress his wounds. Then, they left them in the front door of a hospital, Scar knowing they would be safer in Earth than with the two predators. He didn't want to risk their lives again.

Colt stood by. To him it was all a waste of time taking the kids to the hospital, as he saw humans as simple prey. But he was willing to respect his deal with Scar, as long as it suited him.

Scar went back to the ship and Colt activated the radar on the board. The screen showed them a small and faint red dot that represented the Bad Bloods' ship.

When they were far away enough, Scar activated the destruction at a distance of his ship to erase trace of him in the planet.

RKF22 haha she tried Thanks so much for reading!

NeverNeverLady That was the plan! but Berserker is a very tough guy :-( Thanks for your comment!

Predator1701 Hello! Absolutely, I understand you. Life is usually a very hard bitch and that has been the reason why sometimes I don't update soon :p

Thanks, I've been studying a little more English so sometimes I do my own revisions oh and thanks for looking at the cartridge.

Scar has yet to learn how to express his emotions, but he is definitely the type of guy who would risk everything for his love... even though he knows that would have consequences for him.

I would like to add it of course, maybe in future chapters, some things still have to be fixed before they can talk about another planet haha

I think it's a bit difficult for Scar to build his reputation, at least right now since even though his intentions were good, he pretty much did what he wanted without asking for permission... at least now, he should plan things well before even thinking about going back to Yautja Prime

Haha speaking of culture clash, he has to work hard on it.

That sounds good, about Kima, these children would do well in the company of someone kind who teaches them about predatory culture, without exposing their lives -like Scar-

They're probably staying in a cave haha, that's at best, meanwhile they're on the run.

That Wolf has been a pain in the… but hey, he had his hopes in young Scar and seeing him fail and stray, it was a hard blow for him, that's the reason for his anger.

Hahaha do you like star wars? I love it! and I guess Scar just wants to keep them from getting hurt, you know, so he doesn't worry Lex.

I love your long reviews, thank you very much for taking the time to write to me, I really appreciate it.

Until the next chapter, I hope you're doing well!

Lyrapup Oh! I really didn't know that haha sorry for the mistake, it will be taken it, thanks! And I'm glad you're liking this story, I'm very happy to read your comment :-)

ErisWrites Thank you very much for reading and even if it takes a while, here is the next chapter, I hope you like it.

Tiara¡Hola! Realmente lamento la demora, espero que te guste este capítulo, muchas gracias por leer.

Ninfa20 Finally, after an eternity, here is the next chapter lol, I hope you like it! THANK YOU!

Lucy Sly Hello! Thank you very much for your kind comment, it was something very sad about Lex's sister :p

I am glad that you like the development, it is very comforting to read that, I also hope enjoy this chapter. I still have things prepared for the little children, wait a little longer!

Cheers!
