Digimon Adventure, Episode 49: My Sister's Keeper
Gomamon narrates, "Leomon and Ogremon decided to stop fighting and decided to face. MetalEtemon together. Meanwhile, the rest of the gang had their own problems with Puppetmon. But thanks to a brief appearance from Matt and MetalGarurumon, he finally got his strings cut. Risking all to save Mimi, SaberLeomon threw himself in front of a vicious blast. I Digivolved to Zudomon and used my Vulcan's Hammer to put a serious dent in MetalEtemon's armor. We thought Leomon would return to a DigiEgg, but Primary Village was poisoned by evil, and it'll stay that way unless all of the Dark Masters are defeated."
We skip the theme song.
We open to see the 5 remaining DigiDestined walking through the hot-scorching heat. Sweat ran down their heads.
"This road has to going somewhere, right?" Tai asked.
Kari wasn't feeling so well. Her face turned a small hint of pink and she began coughing.
"Don't count on it. Nothing is certain in the Digital World," Tentomon said.
Kari coughs again, but it didn't escape Gatomon's notice.
"Do you have a fur ball, Kari?" Gatomon asked.
"No, silly, I'm okay," Kari weakly answered. She started to slow down while the others went on ahead of her.
"One thing is certain. Only a cactus could love this place," Sora commented.
Kari coughed one more time and she collapsed. This catches everyone's attention, especially Tai's.
"Kari!" Tai exclaimed with worry as he and Gatomon rushes to her side.
After they reached Kari, they came to a nearby bus stop for Kari to rest while Tentomon has flown off to find some shelter as the rest stayed behind to tend to her. TK has her using his backpack as a pillow.
"She has to stay out of the sun, and we've got to find a way to get her fever down soon," Sora said. Gatomon was gravely concerned for her partner.
"Don't worry. I won't leave you," Gatomon said. Kari weakly smiles.
"Oh, yeah," Kari weakly said.
"How come you didn't say something before now, Kari? If we'd have known sooner, we could have rested until you felt better," Tai said.
"You mad? I didn't want to slow everyone down," Kari said, coughing.
"I'm not mad," Tai assured.
(Flashback)
We see Kari who is just 4 years old, being put on a stretcher and placed in the back of an ambulance with Tai standing there with a devastated expression on his face.
(End of flashback)
Tai and Izzy separated from the rest of the group as Sora, TK, Agumon, Biyomon, Patamon, and Gatomon continued to look over her with concern. TK was just as concerned for his crush.
"I wasn't paying attention. We probably shouldn't haven't even brought her along," Tai said. Izzy just looked at him, knowing that wasn't like Tai to say.
"Huh? What are you talking about? We had to bring her. We need her if we want to save the Digital World! She's one of the DigiDestined, haven't you forgotten that?" Izzy asked, reminding Tai of what's important.
"Not at all, but her being sick, we should have left her someplace safe. We should have split up so someone could take care of her while the others looked," Tai said.
"Split up? Tai, this isn't like you!" Izzy exclaimed in disbelief.
"I'm just worried about her. It's a part of what I do to be a good leader, Izzy," Tai said.
"Yeah, but..." Izzy paused. Sora quickly noticed her crush's distress and she knew what was bothering him. She sighed to herself. She looked at TK and saw how concerned he was for her and she started to catch on quickly. It reminded her of herself and Tai at their age.
"Izzy, I've found it!" Tentomon's voice yelled, getting the Child of Knowledge's attention. "We're saved!" A few minutes later, Tentomon Digivolved into Kabuterimon and brought them to what he found. "Look, right up ahead! You wanted civilization. Well, it doesn't get more civilized than this!"
He flies over what appears to be New York City, much to everyone's surprise.
"Is that America?" TK asked. "Do you think they have a bathroom?"
Kabuterimon continues to fly over to what looks like Rome. And then what looks like Paris. Izzy knew it was the Digital World, but it didn't sit right with him.
"That's New York City, but that isn't," Sora pointed out.
"That's Rome. We studied it in geography, and up there, that's the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. They're all smooched together," Izzy said.
"It's like that theme park in Florida," Tai said.
"Except that this place is deserted. Look, there's not a sign of life anywhere," Sora said.
Kari's illness was starting to get worse.
"Hey, Izzy, Kari's getting worse! Let's find someplace to land!" Tai said.
"Oh, yeah, right, uh..." Izzy started to look around. They found what looks like a mansion, which suits their needs.
"This looks like a nice quiet spot," Sora said.
Kabuterimon lands and de-Digivolves as soon as everyone got off his back.
Everyone got Kari upstairs and onto a bed just so she could rest as the boys searches for some medicine to use to help Kari's fever go down.
"These cupboards are empty. There's not even a speck of food," Izzy said.
"Hey!" Agumon shouted, running in. He's holding a box of children's medicine. "Is this what you're looking for?" Tai takes it and his face lit up.
"Alright! Way to go!" Tai exclaimed happily.
"What is it, Agumon? Did you find some aspirin?" Izzy asked.
"Yeah, this ought to do the trick," Tai said, opening the box. He frowned when he saw it was empty. "It's empty!"
"Just like everything else. This place is weird," Izzy said.
Tai didn't say anything as he worries about his sister.
Over to the girls, Sora, Biyomon, and Gatomon are watching over her.
"Tai, humans aren't supposed to be this color, are they?" Gatomon asked as Tai walked in.
"Mm-mnh," Tai said, shaking his head.
"Well?" Sora asked with concern.
"I'm afraid to leave in case something happens, but she needs medicine," Tai said.
"She's stable, I think. All we can do now is hope her fever breaks soon," Sora said.
"It will. At least I know I'm leaving her in good hands with you," Tai said.
"Don't worry. Just be careful," Sora said.
TK, Izzy and their partner Digimon walk in, too.
"Listen, Tai, I want to come with you. I won't get on the way, honest," TK said.
"No way. You're my last line of defense. What if the Dark Masters come, huh? I need you here to look after the others," Tai said. TK knew Tai was right, and this will be his chance to protect Kari in case the Dark Masters or at least one of their goons would come and attack.
"You can count on me. On I'm the job," TK said.
"Yeah, leave it to us," Patamon added. Tai beamed as he nodded.
"I knew I could count on you guys," Tai said. He looked at Izzy and Tentomon. "You ready to go, Izzy?"
"You can count on us, Tai," Izzy said.
"We're right behind you," Tentomon added.
"Let's go, Tai," Agumon said.
"Right," Tai said.
"Agumon, don't do anything risky," Biyomon said.
"Don't worry, Bee. I'll come back. I promise," Agumon said, making Biyomon blush.
"Bee?" Gatomon asked in a whisper to Patamon.
"That's Agumon's pet name for her. It's a good thing for Agumon that Gabumon and Gomamon aren't here to hear this, otherwise they would tease him about it," Patamon said.
"And we're off!" Tai said.
With that said, Tai, Izzy, Agumon, and Tentomon set off into the city to find medicine for Kari's fever. Sora sighed to herself.
"I know Tai is thinking about Kari being in the hospital that one time. I only hope it won't affect his judgement when he runs into trouble, which will happen rather if we want it to or not," Sora thought.
Tai, Izzy, Agumon, and Tentomon ran down the streets of the deserted city, and so far, they didn't find any trouble.
"This place is deserted, but I still get the feeling we're being followed. Isn't that strange?" Agumon asked. Tai stopped when he noticed Izzy is looking around. Agumon does the same thing.
"Izzy, what do you think you're doing?" Tai asked.
"Aha!" Izzy exclaimed when he saw what he was looking for. It was a British telephone booth. Tai, Agumon, and Tentomon follows Izzy into the booth and he sets up his laptop as Tentomon lifts him up.
"This is the digital age, Tai. There are a lot simpler ways of finding things now," Izzy said.
"Good. I was beginning to get a cramp in my wing," Tentomon said. Izzy does some typing and he pulls up a map. His face lit up.
"I knew it! There's an online map of the city," Izzy said.
"Izzy, you're a genius! Nice going!" Tai praised the Child of Knowledge.
"Okay, now I'll search for hospitals and pharmacies," Izzy said as he types in hospitals and pharmacies in the city, and 12 locations pops up. "Jackpot! Take your pick!" Tai points to the one next to their current location.
"This one's the closest," Tai said. "Let's go!" Tai bursts out of the booth and Agumon follows him.
"Hey, wait for me! I got to unplug myself!" Izzy said, unplugging his laptop from the phone.
Meanwhile, we see 2 gear-like Digimon monitoring the map displayed on the screen. They're with Machinedramon. The Digimon are known as Hagurumon. The Digimon Analyzer activates. Hagurumon are machine Digimon that'll definitely grind your gears if you had any. They have the ability to infect their enemies with a virus in their Cog Crusher attack. It'll drive you mad. The Digimon Analyzer deactivates.
"They have logged off," the first Hagurumon said.
"Yes, my Lord Machinedramon, sir. They've accessed maps and things for hospitals and pharmacies. Hi-oh!" The second Hagurumon said.
"And you're waiting for what?" Machinedramon asked, annoyed. "Show me those locations."
"Right away, sir," the second Hagurumon said, turning around. "There are, uh, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 of them."
"Let me put this in words you can understand. Send units to all 12 locations and blow them up," Machinedramon ordered.
"Oh, I get it now! Blow them up! Yes, sir!" The second Hagurumon said.
"Consider it already done, my lord," the first Hagurumon said.
Everywhere in the city, several Mekanorimon come out doing a chant, heading to the 12 locations. Elsewhere, the street opens up as machine Digimon riding in tanks come rising up.
"Our little foes have swallowed the bait. Now it is time ti spring the trap," Machinedramon said.
Over to the Roman section, the ground opens with 2 dragon-like Digimon are underneath. One is red and the other is gray. Both are identical to each other, but the difference is, the gray one has mechanical wings while the red one has organic wings.
"Ah, finally! It was getting a little stuffy!" The red dragon said as they flew off to the coordinates.
The duos of Courage and Knowledge have arrived to the nearest hospital.
"No wonder this hospital's so clean. There's no sick people," Agumon commented. "Hello?" Tai said nothing and looked down the halls and he saw that it was very familiar to him as the memories were starting to haunt him again.
(Flashback)
We see young Tai in the hospital.
"Tai!" Yuuko's voice yelled. She ran up to her son and she panted. Tai looked right at her. She exclaims very angrily at him. "Do you have any idea what you've done?!"
(End of flashback)
Tai clutches his fist from the memory. Agumon looked at Tai and saw the look on his face. The Digimon of Courage became concerned for his partner.
"Tai?" Agumon asked. Tai said nothing. His trail of thought was interuppted when Izzy and Tentomon returned to them.
"Hey! Over here! I found the pharmacy!" Izzy exclaimed.
The duo of Knowledge leads the duo of Courage to the pharmacy and saw lots of medicines to choose from, but they only needed one particular medicine.
"There's a lot of medicine alright, but how do we know what do use for Kari's fever?" Tai asked, holding two of the medicines.
"Strange as it sounds, I wish Joe were here. He might know what these are. His father's a doctor," Izzy said.
"That's a doctor's kid for you. There's never one around when you need him," Tai said. Izzy spotted a phone outlet.
"Hold on! I can patch into the hospital's computer!" Izzy said.
"Izzy shoots, he scores!" Tentomon praised as Izzy unplugs the phone and inserts his laptop into the outlet.
"Fever reduction, children," Izzy said as he types on his laptop.
Back to Machinedramon's lair, they pinpoint to the location of the DigiDestined.
"Sir, there they are, sir! Ha ha!" The first Hagurumon said.
"The network is being accessed from inside target 4, master, sir," the second Hagurumon said.
"Then wouldn't it be a good idea to have all forces converge on that target and prepare to attack?" Machinedramon asked.
"Oh, a brilliant idea, my lord, sir," the first Hagurumon said.
Outside of the hospital, the robotic Digimon converges on their target.
"After you, Megadramon," the gray dragon Digimon said.
"Oh, nno, after you," Megadramon said.
Back inside, Izzy found the medicine to treat Kari's fever.
"Hey, Izzy, you sure that's the right stuff?" Tai asked, holding a medicine bottle reading "ZE 22 Y-ZE".
"It's as safe as children's aspirin," Izzy said.
"Good job. Let's head back!" Tai said.
Back with Machinedramon...
"Fire!" Machinedramon ordered.
Back outside, the tank-like Digimon fires the first shot at the hospital.
Back inside, the cabinets shakes from the vibrations of the blasts.
"Oh no!" Tentomon gasped.
They all screamed as the power goes out.
"Hey, let's beat it!" Agumon suggested.
They ran towards the entrance and stopped when they saw the Mekanorimon doing their chant.
"Lucky we're in a hospital, because we might need one," Tai said. "What are they?" The Digimon Analyzer activates.
"Mekanorimon, evil robots with one job, blasting Digimon! I suggest we get out of here and fast!" Agumon said as the Digimon Analyzer deactivates.
"Target in range!" One of the Mekanorimon said, aiming its eyeball and raises its claws. "Twin Beam!" Their claws emits electricity before separating. It fires a red beam of energy at Tai, Agumon, Izzy, and Tentomon, but the beam its the doors and the couches, so they run for their lives.
The tank-like Digimon breaks through the wall, trapping them.
"They've brought along a friend-" Agumon said as the Digimon Analyzer activates. "Tankmon. An armor-plated bully with a sneeze like a cannon! If you think these other guys are bad, these creeps have more firepower than a volcano!" The Digimon Analyzer deactivates.
"I thought we'd lost them! How did they find us so quickly?!" Tentomon exclaimed.
"One of them must have been following us and saw us come in here," Izzy theorized.
"Think! Kari needs this medicine to get back pronto!" Tai said.
"Target in range!" The Mekanorimon from earlier said, alarming them. "Twin Beam!" It fires the red beam at them.
"Hyper Cannon!" The Tankmon roared, firing a yellow torpedo from its nozzle.
"Look out!" Tai yelled as Tai opened a door and ran out with Izzy, Agumon, and Tentomon following him. The two attacks collides with each other and destroys each other in the blast.
"Ouch!" The Mekanorimon yelled as the Tankmon just screamed.
"Duck!" Tai yelled as he and the other three ducked their heads after escaping through the window. The explosion destroys the window. "Come on!" Not needing to be told twice, they run for it. The Mekanorimon and Tankmon are patrolling for the DigiDestined, knowing that they'll make themselves known again, but not knowing when. They do their chant again and again, and it was really annoying Tai. "I'm really getting tired of that sound! When are they gonna call it quits and go home?"
"We don't have time for this. I'm going to go down there and take care of them!" Agumon said.
"No, wait!" Izzy said. The duo of Courage turned to Izzy. "Those rolling arsenals are just waiting for us. We show ourselves and they'll go ballistic."
"So we just hide here all day? Is that it?" Tai asked, irritated. Izzy starts typing again.
"Those machines are the only things moving out there, so a map of the traffic flow will show where they are. Then it's just a question of plotting a course to avoid them," Izzy said, typing. Tai calmed down, liking the plan.
"Yeah, it just might work," Tai said.
"Or course it'll work," Izzy said. He accessed the map and pinpoints all of Machinedramon's forces in the entire city. The red dot indicated their current location. "You see? I've pinpointed every one of them."
"Good job, Izzy," Tai said. Izzy smiled, feeling proud of himself.
Back in Machinedramon's lair, their location has been pinpointed again.
"Excuse me, your metalness. They are accessing the network again, but the access is relocated to sector B-17," the second Hagurumon reported.
"Then relay those coordinates to all forces and attack," Machinedramon ordered.
The machine Digimon retrieved the orders and started to head for their location to launch their attack.
"Well, it's about time!" Megadramon said.
Back to their hiding place, Izzy was shocked that the machine Digimon were coming right at towards them.
"Inconceivable!" Izzy gasped in horror.
"Incon-what? What now?" Tai asked, not understanding.
"The machines! Every one of them rotated in sync, and headed our way!" Izzy said. Tai knew that was a bad thing. Izzy then realized how they found them so easily. They were tracking them through his laptop. "Of course! They're zeroing in on my computer connection!" Izzy has never thought his computer would be used against him by the Dark Masters.
"Incoming!" Agumon exclaimed. Tai and Izzy turned to the window and they saw Megadramon coming right at them. They screamed and ran out of the way before Megadramon smashes the window.

Megadramon roars at Greymon as the dinosaur Digimon prepares to fire.
"Nova Blast!" Greymon roared as he spews his fireball attack, but because Megadramon is a higher level than he is, his signature attack didn't even phase him. Tai, Izzy, and Tentomon climbed up on him and ran off.
On the top of Spiral Mountain, Piedmon is watching the event on his telescope, drinking a glass of wine.
"Oh, the plot sickens. Ah, me. I had such high hopes that these little ones would put on a more entertaining show, but this! Really, it's too tiresome! Can we just get this over with and get on to something a little less tedious? There's no escape from Machinedramon. He's designed for total annihilation. It's only a matter of time now before he catches them, and then the game is over. Ah, it's not fair that overgrown can opener gets all the fun, when I was so looking forward to playing with them myself. Farewell, little ones. Adiós. Au revoir. Auf wiedersehen. Arriverderci, and all that jazz." He holds up his glass and sips it.
Back to the duos of Courage and Knowledge, Greymon jumps out of the window.

Tai's Digivice vibrates rapidly and turns solid orange. It shoots a beam of light that blasts through his tag and the Crest of Courage spirals into the air.

The Crest of Courage stops and explodes, beaming light down the Digi-zone and gives Greymon his newfound strength.
"Greymon Digivolve to…"
Greymon's left arm turns into a large metal claw, his brown head plate became covered in armour.
Digimon, Digital Monsters, Digimon are the champions!
He sprouts bluish-purple wings and two armour plates cover his chest as well. After gaining his armour he roars.
"MetalGreymon! RAA!"
Digimon!
...
"Hang on!" MetalGreymon said as he stomps on some of the Tankmon. The other Tankmon fires their attacks at MetalGreymon as he ran off, losing them quickly.
Back in Machinedramon's lair...
"Oh, I have a teenie bit of bad news. They've escaped again, my lord, sir," the second Hagurumon reported.
"And yet you're still here," Machinedramon growled.
Once they have lost their pursuers, MetalGreymon De-Digivolves back to Agumon and they hide into Notre-Dame de Paris to hide in. Izzy was discouraged by what happened as Tai was angered by the fact they have been delayed again.
"It's all my fault. I was giving away our location every time I logged into my computer. How could I not thought of that before?" Izzy asked in disbelief. Tai angrily grabs Izzy by his shirt.
"Good question! Now we're stuck here! Meanwhile, Kari's getting sicker and sicker because of you!" Tai yelled. Agumon and Tentomon attempted to separate him from Izzy.
"He got us this far, didn't he?" Tentomon asked.
"Stop it, Tai! What's come over you?" Agumon asked with concern. Tai realized what he was doing. He let's Izzy go and he's instantly filled with regret with what happened.
"I'm sorry, Izzy," Tai apologized. He then sobs. Izzy knew Tai wasn't himself at all. It wasn't like when he and Matt fought each other when they were in Puppetmon's forest, so he knew it had to be something eating him up from the inside. Something had to happen.
"Hey, Tai, this isn't your normal behavior. Did something happen?" Izzy asked.
"Yes. It's Kari. She almost died once before because of me," Tai said. Izzy, Agumon, and Tentomon all gasped in shock. "It happened when she was 4 or 5, just a little kid. She stayed from kindergarten one day because she was sick. I mean, I knew she was sick, but all I could think about on the way home was playing soccer."
(Flashback)
Young Tai returns home from his day from school. Young Tai opens the door.
"Hey, I'm home!" Young Tai announced.
Little Kari is sitting on the couch, watching cartoons.
"I wanted to go out and play, but I didn't want to leave her by herself, so I took her out with me. She seemed okay. Really, she did," Tai narrated.
Young Tai tossed his backpack to the floor and took her out to the park.
"Now, watch me!" Young Tai said as he kicks the ball over to little Kari. "Just like that. Now you try!" Young Kari kicks the ball, but it veers off course. Young Tai picks it up. "No, that's not right." Young Tai picks up the ball and picked it up. He gasped. "Kari? Kari!"
An ambulance picks Kari up and takes her to the hospital.
Yuuko slaps Young Tai in the cheek which becomes red. Yuuko is feeling a mixture of anger towards her son and horror for what she just did.
"What were you thinking, you knew she was sick!" Yuuko yelled. Yuuko sobs and Susumu puts a hand on her shoulder and Young Tai rubs his cheek and is about to cry as well.
"She ended up with pneumonia or something. She almost didn't make it. But what really kills me is what she said when they brought her home from the hospital. The first words out of her mouth."
"Tai..." Little Kari said weakly. "I'm sorry I can't kick the ball very good; you'll probably never wanna play with me again."
Tears well up in Young Tai's eyes and he sniffs as he begins to cry.
(End of flashback)
Izzy, Tentomon, and Agumon began to cry with regards with Tai as they share his expressions of sorrow as tears drips from his face.
"That's her, that's Kari. She never thinks about herself, it doesn't matter if she's feeling bad or feeling bummed out about other stuff; she's always worried about the other kids. She wouldn't be sick; she'd be just fine if she never came to this stupid place! But she came because she knew we needed her help! She never thought about what she wanted, SHE NEVER DOES!" Tai exclaimed.
Tai has an emotional meltdown, not caring that they're all watching.
"It's because she cares," Izzy assured.
"She's a kid, I'm her big brother; I'm supposed to look after her and protect her and think of what's best for her," Tai said as he clenches the medicine tightly. "That's what I'm supposed to do!"
"Oh, Tai," Agumon said, feeling touched by how much he's such a dedicated big brother.
Izzy then gets an idea on how to deal with the machine Digimon, and this time, he had thought it through.
"Okay, it would be ridiculous to try to break through them, but maybe we can use their own surveillance techniques against them," Izzy said.
"You're not going online again, are you?" Tentomon asked, knowing what might happen again.
"Yes, but this time I know what I'm doing. I've got a program that will throw them off our trail. I'm going to mask our access point. It's a little trick a computer programmer taught me once," Izzy said, hooking himself up and starts typing.
In Machinedramon's lair, the Hagurumon picks on them again, but this time, several locations were going off all at once.
"There they are again!" The first Hagurumon said. He gasped when he saw them blinking all at once. "Um, boss, uh, there are now dozens of access points all over the map! Hi-oh!"
"Does this mean what I think it does, my lord, sir?" The second Hagurumon asked.
"That you have the brains of a tin can?" Machinedramon deadpanned, feeling annoyed.
Back in the church, Tai, Izzy, Agumon, and Tentomon saw the enemy signals on the map.
"What are those?" Tentomon asked.
"Those are the enemy Digimon," Izzy said.
"They're not moving," Tai pointed out.
"That's because the program worked, and they don't have a clue where to look for us. Prodigious!" Izzy said.
"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's get going!" Tai said.
They step out of the church and run out.
Back in Machinedramon's lair, his patience has finally reached its limit.
"I'm bored with this game of cat and mouse!" Machinedramon snarled. "Initiate Plan Elimin-8!"
The Hagurumon were horrified by this plan, and knew how bad it would be.
"Uh, Elimin-8? How about Elimin-9?" The first Hagurumon asked.
"Are you actually questioning me?" Machinedramon asked, angered by their question. "Initiate Plan Elimin-8... Now!"
The Hagurumon knew better than to defy their master and they had no choice but to comply with his orders.
"No, sir! Yes, sir!" The 2 Hagurumon said said in unison.
"Attention! Initiate Plan Elimin-8!" The second Hagurumon said.
"Attention! Initiate Plan Elimin-8!" The first Hagurumon repeated.
"I'm glad you agree. Fire at will!" Machinedramon ordered.
Meanwhile, Megadramon and his gray counterpart flies into the sky.
"Oh, can I blow something up?" Megadramon asked.
"I don't know, can you?" The second dragon-like Digimon asked.
Tai, Izzy, Agumon, and Tentomon sees the flying Digimon above them, knowing was up.
"Now we're in for it," Tai said.
Back at the house, TK is tending to Kari who is still laying in bed.
"TK, thank you for being here for me. But, I'm worried about Tai," Kari said as she coughed.
"I know. Tai and Izzy will be back before you know it, Kari. And I won't let anything bad happen on my watch," TK said. Kari just smiled, touched by what TK said.
"I'd give you a kiss but I don't want you to get sick too," Kari said.
"That's okay, I'm sure you'll have done that in your heart," TK said.
Kari was taken aback by that and TK turns red in embarrassment, realizing how weird and awkward that sounded. Patamon facepalms and Gatomon deadpans.
"Okay, that was just awkward," Gatomon said.
"That's what I meant, what I meant to say is, well, uh, oh boy! I'm just glad Matt isn't here, because he would be teasing me silly like I did with him and Mimi, I mean, I know Matt has a crush on Mimi because she's cute, and you're cute, too! Ooh, why do I have to say the silliest things?!" TK exclaimed as he comically waving his arms, still blushing.
To his surprise, Kari is laughing hysterically despite her illness.
"You're so funny, TK! You're as cute as you are sweet," Kari said.
TK calms down, still blushing a little but manages to put on a smile.
"I'm just happy I was able to make you smile, Kari," TK said.
"And I'm glad you're here, TK," Kari said as she touched TK's cheek and TK kindly holds her other hand in both of his. "TK, do you miss Matt?"
"Yeah, I miss him. I missed him ever since he left the group. I'm worried about him," TK said.
"He'll come back; just like Tai will come back like you said," Kari said. This made TK smile.
"You're right. And thanks for that. You're very sweet, too," TK said.
Sora and Biyomon were in the doorway, listening in on them and she knew she was right after all. TK has a crush on Tai's little sister. She knew she was right about Kari and TK hitting it off when they were at summer camp.
"I knew it," Sora said.
"You mean TK having a crush on Kari?" Biyomon asked.
"Yes. It reminds me a lot of how Tai and I met when we were little. The only difference was, the fate of the world wasn't at stake," Sora said.
"I think Kari has one on TK, too," Biyomon said.
"You're right," Sora agreed.
TK suddenly hears something from outside. He reluctantly lets her hand go.
"Hold on a sec, Kari, because I think I hear something," TK said. And he was right, because he saw the 2 Digimon in the distance. He gasped, knowing what was coming.
"Darkside Attack!" Megadramon roared as he fired missiles at the buildings, destroying them.
"Man, what a waste of ammo. They're way off," Tai said.
"I don't think they're shooting at us," Tentomon said. Izzy then realized what they're doing.
"Huh? No, it can't be!" Izzy said.
The Digimon Analyzer activates for Megadramon.
"That's Megadramon! An Ultimate level flying fiend with devastating destructive powers! Those missiles of his can level a city block in the blink of an eye." The Digimon Analyzer switches to the other one. "The other one's Gigadramon. If anything, he's more powerful than his buddy. Believe me, if these guys were shooting at us, we wouldn't be here talking about it." The Digimon Analyzer deactivates.
Izzy opens his laptop and looked at the map displayed on the screen.
"Looks like my plan may have backfired on us," Izzy said.
"How do you figure that?" Agumon asked.
"It appears they've decided searching for us is too much trouble. So instead, they're just going to level the whole city and everybody in it," Izzy said. Tai and the 2 Digimon gasped.
"You've got to be kidding!" Tai exclaimed.
Back in Machinedramon lair, the city's leveling is displayed on the map.
"That's it for sectors A and B. What a mess!" The first Hagurumon said.
"Megadramon and Gigadramon have begun operations on sectors C and D," the second Hagurumon said. "Children sneaky. Mm."
"Soon there will be no place left to hide, and this game will abruptly end!" Machinedramon said as his cannons flashed.
Tai, Izzy, Agumon, and Tentomon hurriedly ran towards their hiding place to get to TK and the girls before it was too late. Megadramon flies over them, much to their dismay, knowing where he was heading.
"Uh-oh! Megadramon! He's heading right for the others are hiding!" Tentomon said.
"No!" Tai exclaimed.
"I hope they see him coming!" Tentomon said.
"Kari!" Tai yelled as they all ran to their hiding place before it was too late. They made it back, seeing it was still in one piece.
"Safe and sound. Everything's okay," Izzy said.
"We're back, Kari!" Tai said, running towards the house. One of Megadramon's missiles struck the house, destroying it. Tai is blown back the explosion. Tai was horrified, fearing the worst.
"The building's gone!" Izzy gasped.
"No! No way! It can't be! Kari!" Tai yelled out of dread. Izzy looked up and he gasped.
"Here comes one more!" Izzy said. Tai looked up and he sees the missile coming right at them. "Oh no! Look out!" Tai screamed and closed his eyes, knowing what was coming next, but a golden beam of energy struck the missile, destroying it. Tai, Izzy, Agumon, and Tentomon turned around to see Angemon hovering above them.
"Angemon!" Agumon said.
"But that means-" Izzy paused as TK poked his head from the shrubs.
"Hey, what's up? You look tired," TK said. Biyomon, and Gatomon poked their heads through.
"TK!" Tai said.
"Biyomon!" Agumon said.
"And the others!" Tentomon said.
Sora comes up, carrying Kari on her back.
"Kari, you're okay!" Tai said.
The DigiDestined rushed to another building.
"Actually, you look better than okay," Izzy said.
"When we saw them bombing the buildings, we thought we better get out," Sora said.
"And I led the way. I took care of them, like you said," TK added.
"I never doubted you," Tai said.
Their moment is interuppted as a blast of yellow energy erupts from the pavement and Machinedramon himself came out from underneath.
"Machinedramon!" Agumon gasped.
"You can't rely on scrap metal if you want the job done right," Machinedramon said.
"I'll take care of him!" Angemon said. He flew towards Machinedramon, ready to engage him.

TK's Digivice vibrates rapidly and turns solid yellow. It shoots a beam of light that blasts through his tag and the Crest of Hope spirals into the air.

The Crest of Hope stops and explodes, beaming light down the Digi-zone and gives Angemon his newfound strength.
"Angemon Digivolve to…"
Angemon's angelic feathers spread out from his wings and surround him, encasing him in a bright light in the shape of some sort of egg.
Digimon, Digital Monsters, Digimon are the champions!
He emerges with 8-shining silver wings. His body solidifies and he gains new garments/armor. He gains a gold sash that form near his ankle.
Digimon, Digital Monsters, Digimon are the champions!
A beam shield forms on his left arm and he draws out his purple blade of light, Excalibur in the air. A purple helmet covering half of his face is formed and he slices the air with his blade.
"MagnaAngemon!"
Digimon!

MagnaAngemon stopped in front of Machinedramon as he laughed.
"Do you think you can beat me? Haven't you forgotten about our first meeting?" Machinedramon asked.
"You can't blame a Digimon for trying! Gate Of Destiny!" MagnaAngemon shouted as he traces a circle of light, the gate appears and opens up, blasting a rainbow coloured energy beam. It struck Machinedramon on the mark, but it doesn't even put a dent on his body. He laughed.
"That actually tickles. My turn!" Machinedramon said, preparing to fire. "Giga Cannon!" He repeatedly fires at MagnaAngemon, making him fall backwards as he screams. He de-Digivolves back to Patamon and he fell right into TK as he fell on his rear.
...
"Take cover, everybody!" Tai said as they all ran in the building.
"That's right, scurry away," Machinedramon said as he prepared to fire again. "Ask any red catcher; the chase is part of the fun. Giga Cannon!" He fired a single shot at the building, bringing it down. He laughed as the building started to collapse. "Nothing like a little wholesale destruction to end a hard day's work. Goodbye, DigiDestined!"
Inside, Sora, TK, Kari, Biyomon, Patamon, and Gatomon fall on way as Tai, Izzy, Agumon, and Tentomon fall in another. They all screamed as they fell.
"Help me, Tai!" Kari called out to her brother, trying to reach out for him.
"Kari!" Tai called back, trying to reach her.
They all screamed as they kept on falling to their supposed doom.
