Alyce fidgeted as she sat across from the two gentlemen in front of her. She seemed to zone out as she watched the men in front of her. Since her up-bringing she learned not to trust so willingly. From her swollen face, she could barely make out their appearances.
Billy black was a large heavyset man with dark russet skin and black eyes. He wore a cowboy hat upon his head covering his black hair. He sat in a wheelchair right in front of her. Charlie swan was a pale man with a mustache and curly brown hair. He had the softest chocolate brown eyes Alyce had ever seen. From what she could see, he was tall...much taller than herself.
With their eyes upon her frame she felt shy and embarrassed fidgeting with the loose strings from her pathetic clothing. Her hair was in a fray of tangles upon her head with a large bald spot from her earlier encounter.
Her left wrist had swollen to the size of a soft ball by now and moving it even a little caused pain to shoot through it. Her right shoulder was black and purple in color from what the men could see. Her Right arm seemed to hang lifelessly to her side.
". .Alyce?" Billy's voice soothed her very soul. Alyce quickly jerked her head up in response to the man her eyes large and wild in nature. He turned and looked at Charlie before deciding it was time to bring Alyce to a more discrete location to talk.
"Charlie, would you be able to take me and Alyce back to my home, I need to address the council in regards to her..appearances." Billy muttered softly as the other man clicked his tongue in distaste. By now the diner had more occupants who turned to watch the exchange, that and the new girl caused a lot of questions for the locals. "Billy, I think she needs to be seen by the authorities so we can find the BASTARD that did this to the poor girl" Charlie's anger out of control causing him to raise his voice and frightening Alyce who immediately covered her head with her left arm sobbing.
"Ah-Ahh! I'm sorry Alyce!" Charlie quickly soothed her whispering softly to ease her sobs.
Billy pulled out his phone sending a quick SOS message before ushering Charlie and Alyce from the small diner. Alyce was unsure about the entire encounter but remembered her mother's soothing stories of Billy black. "We are going to get you all fixed up alright?" Billy declared to the girl as she clambered into the squad car beside Billy as Charlie situated the wheel chair.
The drive from the diner to Billy's home was a short one. Before she even knew it she was climbing out of the car and being ushered into the home.
The house was red with white trim and a white door. There was a wooden ramp built to allow the wheelchair easy access in and out.
Over all the house was a decent size, it looked to be 3 bedrooms from the outside...but Alyce knew how deceiving looks could be.
Charlie quickly pulled the wheel chair out and helped Billy get situated before they entered the home. Knowing that he couldn't stay for council stuff, Charlie turned tail and bid them a good day before returning home for the day.
Seeing as they didn't get a bite to eat before leaving the diner, Billy made some chicken broth to start Alyce on with some white rice. "Here, try eating this," He offered the bowl with white rice and chicken broth. "This will fill you up. .for now" He ushered her to the table to eat. Alyce skittered around Billy and across the room for the food. Moving the bowl to a chair at the table where her back would be to a wall she sat down and begun to eat eagerly. Her eyes would flick up to keep track of Billy as he moved around his house. Before long, several loud voices pierced the air. She could tell from the sound that it appeared to be several men coming to this particular home.
The door opened and Alyce jumped up from her seat at the table and moved to the farthest corner of the kitchen as she watched. Her fight or flight instinct was strong as she watched several large men greeting Billy.
One man in particular was large, appearing to be over 6 feet tall with copper skin and cropped black hair and brown eyes. His eyes flicked over to Alyce and she stilled. Tilting her head to the side she watched him. She could see a family resemblance to her mother. Tears burned at her eyes as she soon slid down the wall until she hit the floor.
The chattering of voices soon drowned out as Alyce took the moment to grieve all that was stolen from her. Her eyes burned with tears, the swelling of her face making everything sting. Her body raked with sobs, the pain and loss too great to keep in any longer.
The man from before felt the same instinctual connection to the broken sobbing girl before him. Very similar her appearance was but he couldn't place a name to the face.
"Sam," Billy broke him from his thoughts, "this is Alyce Uley. ." He trailed off. Looking back at the girl who wasn't aware of audience around her, he suddenly saw it. His aunt's daughter.
His cousin.
Alive. And abused.
His body lit with a burning rage like none other before this. His body shaking. He snarled as he turned his back to the boys and raced from the house bursting out of his skin he began his patrol.
Billy sighed, looking at the other boys in front of him. "Paul, please contact Sue.. we need to have her checked out." He asked his son-in-law. The man named Paul turned back to Billy before excusing himself from the room; his own bodies shaking in anger as he quickly dialed the number for sue.
Alyce completely unaware of everything around her could only focus on her pain and suffering. She sniffled as she finally turned to look back at Billy suddenly very exhausted and tired.
Billy looked down at Alyce on the floor, "Dear, Please my friend here-" He gestured to the man in front of him. He was large with rounded muscles straining beneath his shirt with cut off shorts. He looked to be over 6 feet tall and had brown skin, brown eyes and cropped black hair very similar to Sam's was. He appeared to be around her age as far as she could tell.
"He-hello," Alyce whispered. She pulled her arms around her body hugging herself the best she could with her injuries.
"This is Jared, he's going to help you to a room where you can lay down and relax. And then I have a nice friend named Sue, She's going to be visiting to help fix you up ok?" Billy questioned her softly. His deep baritone voice lulling her into a sense of security.
She nodded her head obediently as the beast-of a man in front of her scooped her up into his arms. One arm wrapped around her back causing Alyce to gasp inwardly due to the pressure on her injured shoulder as he cradled her to his body whereas the other was under her knees.
His body was like a furnace. Alyce could feel heat radiating from his body causing her to sink deeper into his chest sighing. Closing her eyes she drifted off into slumber as the man known as Jared gently placed her on the spare bed in Rachel's room.
With Sam
The Moment his paw's hit the ground he was running. His body; now that of a large wolf nearly the size of a horse was covered in thick black fur. His eyes normally brown in his human form now shined dark blue as he surveyed the lands before him.
Sam snarled as he barreled through the surrounding woods running laps that circled the Black house.
He wasn't leaving her defenseless any longer. As he ran his mind wrapped around his family. No one ever knew where his aunt Ellen had taken young Alyce all those years ago. Alyce was only 10 when she left with her mother from the safety of the Tribe.
He remembered a young Alyce with her beautiful black hair in braids and wearing a red and black feather patterned dress with brown strappy sandals.
As Sam remembered his past he felt another phase in. "Hey what are you doing on patr- Wow Sam?!" Seth and Leah had phased in for patrol and the onslaught of emotions and memories flooded their pack mind. A bruised girl kept flashing in their eyes.
"Sam," Leah; for the first time since he had imprinted on Emily sighed. "Go back to billy's, She needs you. . I can call Emily.." She trailed off as she shifted her front and back paws in the ground.
"No!" Sam's yell stopped both Seth and Leah in their steps. "Ill come back when im ready, Please watch Emily and Alyce" Sam commanded before turning tail and running the land again.
The siblings looked at one another as Sam continued to run laps around the tribe lands. Leah looked up back at Seth taking in his lanky form and sandy colored fur, and brown eyes. "Alright Seth, You contact Emily and stay with her and ill go to Chief Billy's home and stay with. .Alyce" Leah mumbled the name unsure.
Seth large wolf head bobbed up and down as he agreed. Turning her body from her brothers, Her small swift body quickly put miles between herself and Seth. Her paws hit the ground in thundering motions. Before she knew it she found herself at the edge of the forest overlooking Chief billy's home. Shifting back, grabbing a stash of clothing in the tree lines, Leah quickly dressed and marched up to billy's door step.
Leah paused at the door and knocked. She didn't wanna startle anyone.
A/N: I apologize for the short chapters, I'm currently trying to update everything as well as living life. I will try and make larger chapters once the story draws more attention. But for now, please enjoy,
Also, the last 2 days I meant to upload my stories but two sick kids made that impossible. So here's an update.
