Disclaimer: This story is a Side Story to Yu-Gi-Oh! Dragon Knight Reborn! I do not own Kamen Rider Decade or any Kamen Rider Series. Characters may be SLIGHTLY OOC due to the story and events. I do own an OC in this story but I will not say who yet.
This is Chapter 3 of the Decade Side Story for DKR. Please enjoy it like a fan for Kamen Rider and for Dragon Knight Reborn. Please enjoy!
Chapter 3: A World of Darkness
Natsumi, groaning, was on the floor with her eyes spinning. From last she remembered; she, Tsukasa and this magical purple dragon and dog-like Pokémon are off on a journey to save multiple worlds including her world. She gets up her vision, dazed and really puzzled.
Dragonic hovers towards the door declaring. ''Well here we are!''
She blinks asking. ''W-where are we?''
The dragon grins adjusting his hat opening the doors of the studio.
''The World of Kuuga!'' Dragonic proclaims proudly at the new surroundings before them. Natsumi gasps astonished that the whole Hikari Studio remains the same but everything else is different. They're near a mountainside town now.
The dragon then snaps his finger claws and corrects himself. ''Actually, this would be the A.R. World of Kuuga.''
''Absol!'' Absol barks communicating if this world is dangerous. Dragonic shakes his head explaining. ''Oh don't worry about here… just worry about the Grongi monsters.''
''G-Grongi?'' Natsumi utters nervously. Dragonic nods about to answer but Tsukasa's voice beats him to it. ''One of the monsters we came across that I destroyed. The monsters to the World of Kuuga.''
Natsumi blinks turning and sees Tsukasa while leaning her head puzzle. He was wearing what seem to be a police uniform.
''Tsukasa-kun? Why are you wearing that?'' She asks when and how did he have the time to wear that. Tsukasa raises an eyebrow studying himself. ''Huh? Not sure.''
He walks to the window to see his reflection and hums posing with a smirk.
''I look good though. Handsome, perfect.'' He comments on his egoist awesomeness. Natsumi gives a deep sigh with Dragonic, sweat dropping, proceeds to explain. ''Any world Tsukasa goes to as Decade allows him to become part of the world with a role and a new talent. In this world, he's a police officer.''
Tsukasa hums rather conveniently yet off-putting that he has this ability but he's not complaining though he does state. ''Could look cooler.''
Natsumi sighs again with Absol scoffing like a dog. Tsukasa ignores their sarcasm and asks the dragon about their mission. ''What's the plan again?''
''Find the threat that is affecting this world and deal with it. Simple stuff.'' Dragonic just says adjusting his fedora.
''Easier said than done.'' Tsukasa comments as the police radio starts stating that Unidentified Lifeforms, what the police call the Grongi, have been spotted and all officers are needed. Amusing to see what he will see, he walks over to the biker and puts on the helmet. Natsumi blinks, questioning him. ''Where are you going Tsukasa?''
Tsukasa proclaims with a smug smirk. ''I have a job, Natsumikan. Be back soon.''
He turns facing the Absol and tells the mutt. ''And you better not let anything happen while I'm gone, dog.''
''Absol!'' Absol replies barking. Tsukasa forms a smug smirk glad the dog is getting the picture.
''Good-'' He begins to say before suddenly his eyes are shot open by Absol biting his leg. Tsukasa lets out a shrieking shout, kicking the annoying mon's fangs off his leg. ''AW WHY AGAIN?!''
Absol finally backs away, smirking as it barks happily. ''Absol!''
''…'' Tsukasa just glares coldly, rubbing his bitten leg. He gets on his bike and rides off to his ''job''. Natsumi smiles as she kneels to Absol and pets her, telling her. ''Good girl!''
Absol blushes warmly enjoying her scratching.
However, watching afar is an older man wearing what seems to be a fisherman-like outfit being a long trench coat light brown coat with white shirt, pants and a brown bucket hat.
He stares glaring through his simple glasses, uttering out gazing towards Tsukasa's direction. ''So Decade, you've come to die. Then I shall make that come true.''
Tsukasa arrives on the scene in some abandoned warehouse with multiple cops, shooting down at a group of 3 Grongis. He hums watching from afar away from the police to see another riding on a bike arriving. He then runs at the monsters from back and performs a strange hand pose, manifesting a belt around his waist and slams both hands on his sides, transforming into Kamen Rider Kuuga: A red armored with golden-lining, black skin tight bodysuit wearing a red bug-like helmet with golden horns over the helmet.
Tsukasa raises an eyebrow watching closely as Kuuga engages the monsters. ''So that is Kuuga- no, the A.R. version of Kuuga.''
He observes this Kuuga fighting the monsters away from the police inside the warehouse. Kuuga tries to overpower them but gets smacked around. Tsukasa watches with his arms crossed as Kuuga uses Dragon and Pegasus Form to destroy one of the monsters. The rest escaped though.
Tsukasa keeps an eye as a female detective approaches Kuuga and he de-transforms, giving her a thumbs up smile.
''What an idiot.'' Tsukasa immediately quotes himself walking away. He's seen enough checking up why the Grongi were even here. Surprisingly, they were spotted having killed a woman. Tsukasa raises an eyebrow, questioning this. ''I wonder why a Grongi would attack a single female.''
He rides back on his bike, using the radio and his new knowledge that a few women-only Police Officers, 3, have already been killed. He hums to himself. Now this was unlike how a Grongi should act or what the Decadriver has granted him.
Tsukasa smirks at this mystery, one he'll have a good time rubbing it on everyone's faces. He hears noises from the radio and listens to a report of an Unidentified Lifeform attacking near a tunnel.
''Perfect.'' He tells himself, making a wide U-turn fast on his bike towards the tunnel. He arrives just to see two officers sadly killed and the same female detective who knows Kuuga firing at the Grongi, one of the two that escaped Kuuga. Coincidence?
Smirking, Tsukasa amps the acceleration and rams his bike on the back of the Grongi, tossing it backwards.
''Yo.'' Tsukasa proclaims getting off his bike. The female detective watches this puzzled by this officer's actions as the monster gets back enraged, yelling out in its language. Tsukasa hums, able to understand every word it is saying and responds back in the same language.
Translation: Funny how sentient beings who lived for over a millennium would go off only killing only human females. If you ask me, it's pathetic.
The monster, taken back, begins questioning how and who the hell he is to understand their language in its native voice.
Tsukasa, smirking, pulls out the Decadriver and places it over his front waist, attaching it around him in belt form. He holds up the Decade card.
''Henshin!'' He shouts, sliding the card he flipped around into the card slot and pushes the handles of the belt.
The device glows red with large words saying KAMEN RIDE in red as it spoke through the belt. "KAMEN RIDE! DECADE!''
Tsukasa instantly transforms into Decade, surprising the head detective and the monster. Decade comes walking with the Gnorgi charging at him. The two engage but Decade is obviously stronger, tossing the monster back and landing direct blows while either evading or blocking the receiving end without any difficulty.
Having played enough, Decade pulls out his finished card and tosses it downward just below the belt. ''FINAL ATTACK RIDE!''
Wiping his hands, Decade leaps up as the holographic cards form and he dives through them, kicking the Grongi across the chest and passing it as the monster explodes. ''DECADE!''
The female detective watches, puzzled by what just happened as Decade de-transforms and Tsukasa approaches her, announcing, rather cocky. ''Detective, I believe I figured out your case.''
Still staggers, she tries to put up a front and calls him off from everything. ''You're a lower rank officer, what would you know?''
Humming with amusement, Tsukasa responds back. ''Funny, same can be said for the human who became that Kuuga, right?''
She staggers more. Frowning, she can't risk letting this man reveal who Kuuga was… or how.
''Willing to listen now?'' Tsukasa asks her, still smirking. He loves being right and all the attention too.
Watching from above them, Dragonic observes. He sighs rolling his eyes, not disappointed but annoyed at how Tsukasa functions. Still, he's doing his job.
Agreeing to listen, the detective Ane takes Tsukasa back to the station where he shows him the room where they were all working on the link behind the Unidentified Lifeforms' actions. There Tsukasa dumps every theory they had come up with and stated that the Grongi have only targeted female officers for they see them as this world's female warriors. Likely killing them to complete a revival or rather a ritual.
''So you think they are killing our officers for some kind of ritual?'' Ane questions the insane theory this newbie has revealed, not believing this. Tsukasa twirls with a charming yet smuggish smirk and replies. ''Naturally.''
He points to the map of the region towards a mountain side, proclaiming. ''Mount Hitoki will reveal everything. Detective, are you willing to come with me to confirm if I am wrong or not?''
She frowns, not willing to go through a goose chase but if it could lead to finally stopping the monsters from killing and harming others, especially putting Kuuga away from these dangers… then it was worth it.
''It's worth checking out.'' She admits with Tsukasa still smirking, now having his bait to end this problem sooner than expected.
Watching outside the station, Dragonic still observes and could hear everything that was said in the building. He just nudges his shoulders, finding that plan rather effective… though.
''Clever Tsukasa… but…'' Dragonic begins telling himself to consider mostly that Tsukasa's overconfidence might backfire. For now he'll keep watching. Besides, he feels like something is watching Tsukasa as well… best be certain who though.
Left behind, Natsumi sighs sitting on the receptionist desk while petting Absol more.
''Sigh, now Dragonic left.'' She mutters complaining that she should be journeying this world too… then again she might get in the way… No wait, she should have gone or else Tsukasa will likely bail on the mission or just not bother!
She gets up needing to see him but just then the door opens with a male's voice speaking. ''Hello?''
Natsumi blinks seeing a guy she's never seen before walk in but he had one of the nicest smiles. She smiles back greeting him. ''Oh welcome to Hikari Studio!''
''This is a photo place?'' The young man says never been here before. Natsumi sweat drops behind her back head, not wanting to explain. Regardless, the young man shakes it off and introduces himself with another smile. ''I'm Yusuke! I never been here before but it feels nice.''
Natsumi smiles back, feeling oddly warm by his own smile.
''It's nice to meet you too. I'm Natsumi.'' She greets him back giggling.
Yusuke nods, smiling, asking if this place can maybe take a photo of himself with someone close to him, blushing while telling this.
''Of course we take couple photo shots.'' Natsumi responds to Yusuke's dismay uttering in protest. ''W-we're not a couple; she's just special to me.''
Natsumi giggles, nodding. Just then a phone rings as it is Yusuke's phone. He pulls it out and mutters. ''Speaking of.''
He answers and speaks to the one, being the detective he's close to. ''Ane-san, is it okay if you meet me in-''
Yusuke then pauses as she explains she's following a lead with the new officer.
''You're going where?! With who? The new guy?'' Yusuke utters oddly jealous she's going with someone else but his bigger concern is that she could get herself hurt by a monster. Natsumi overhears certain who this new guy could be.
''I'll see you there, a Grongi might show up.'' Yusuke tells her quickly to hang up. He bows apologizing to Natsumi that he has to leave but before he could head off she asks him. ''Um mind if I come with you?''
Yusuke raises an eyebrow not following but nods.
Ane looks around rather… disappointed. She and the new guy who could become something similar to Yusuke took her to the mountain to find the Unidentified Lifeforms and what their plans were but everything seemed quiet. She looks at Tsukasa, humming as he takes photos of the calming forest.
''So where is this lead?'' She questions himself with her arms crossed. Tsukasa looks around and just states relaxed. ''Just wait.''
She hums wondering how much longer will they have to-
''Ane-san!'' The two turn to see Yusuke rushing over towards them.
''Yusuke?'' The detective utters surprised he showed up this one. Following right behind is Natsumi calling out to her friend. ''Tsukasa-kun!''
Tsukasa just waves surprised how small the world is to have Natsumi find him, likely that idiot's doing. Yusuke eyes his crush before looking at the so-called officer and demands upset. ''Why did you take Ane here?''
Tsukasa didn't answer as hears a sound and smirks, muttering out. ''And on cue.''
Something leaps out from the tree but Tsukasa twirls with the Ride Booker in blaster form and fires rapid shots at it, revealing to be a Grongi waiting for its chance to attack but it has failed.
Yusuke is taken back as Tsukasa, twirling his gun, just has a smug smirk declaring to the monster. ''You needed one more woman for your ritual but you're the last of your kind from reports.''
The Grongi gets up angrily, slamming its hand on the ground, demanding in its language how he learned to speak its language. Tsukasa doesn't answer, pulling out the Decadriver and he places it on his waist.
''Let's wrap this up shall we? Henshin!'' He declares pulling out the Decade card and slides it in followed by pushing the handles. The driver responds loudly. ''KAMEN RIDE! DECADE!''
Tsukasa instantly transforms into Decade, wiping his hands. Yusuke widens his eyes in shock, only uttering out loud. ''He's…''
Decade proceeds to fight the Grongi, easily overpowering the monster with the sword form of the Ride Booker even with the Grongi using its own sword weapon and then Decade ends it with a Rider Kick, shattering and destroying the monster.
''That went easy.'' Decade says wiping his hands again. Ane is taken back and questions him, upset. ''You used me as bait?''
Decade turns and just gives her the finger point, replying. ''Thank you detective, thanks to your services your world is saved.''
She frowns not appreciated to be used as bait but if it worked then she has no reason to be mad with him… somewhat. Yusuke, however, walks up to Decade with a furious gaze.
''Not by a devil like you!'' Yusuke declares pointing his finger at him. Natsumi startles with Decade, leaning his head to his side, just utters out puzzled. ''Devil?''
Yusuke takes a pose as his belt manifests and he shouts transforming. ''HENSHIN!''
He charges transforming as Kuuga and attacks Decade. Everyone watches surprise except Dragonic watching closely.
''Lovely. First destroyer, disaster and now the devil. I'm not a fan of these titles.'' Decade says taunting these nicknames almost out of irony. Kuuga gets mad trying to punch and hit Decade as their fight moves towards a shrine.
''Shut up! I won't let you destroy my world!'' Kuuga proclaims grabbing the Grongi's sword and changes it and himself into the purple Titan form. He charges swinging but Decade easily responds with the Ride Booker sword form, both swords clashing and Decade repels it with ease. Kuuga gets madder swinging powerful strikes but Decade expertly counters each swing so that he can disarm the sword off Kuuga and deliver a kick strike across his chest. Sparks fly out from Kuuga as he's pushed back.
''If you're the A.R. version of the real Kuuga, then the real Kuuga would be a challenge unlike you.'' Decade proclaims taunting him. Kuuga is pushed aside reverting back to his Amazing form but he wasn't going to let it beat him. He rushes towards Ane and takes her gun by force, changing into the green Pegasus form.
Decade scoffs, changing the sword of the Ride Booker to gun form and the two engage in energy shots showdown, their blasts countering the other though Kuuga only gets madder by this.
''Let's finish this.'' Decade declares holding up the Final Attack card but before he proceeds Natsumi shouts at him and even Yusuke gets in their path. ''Stop it Tsukasa-kun! Please, you two shouldn't be fighting!''
The two Riders pause but both are still going to finish things. Watching from afar, the man with glasses watched, having seen enough of Kuuga's failure.
''Decade, you intent to destroy everything but this will end before you get the chance.'' He tells himself going to end the destroyer himself. In those very moments a mirror-like wall manifests over the shrine. Both riders startled with Decade stating. ''An Aurora Curtain?''
The curtain moves through the shrine and there two figures were revealed to Dragonic's surprise, raising an eyebrow. ''Kamen Riders KickHopper and PunchHopper?''
The demon ''brothers'' riders have indeed appeared before them. Decade stares as he gets information on these riders from the Decadriver and this gets him to worry. Not by these two killers but their abilities.
''Who are you guys?'' Kuuga questions, really confused. Both riders begin to laugh sinisterly at Natsumi's uneasiness, moving away.
''We're from Hell.'' KickHopper speaks up first, warming up eagerly for a fight.
''Now entertain us a bit.'' PunchHopper then states as he adds. ''And maybe Nii-san and I won't kill you quickly.''
The two riders charge at both Decade and Kuuga, forcing them to fight them instead. Natsumi watches, not wanting any of this at all.
Author's Note: Time to clarify things:
1) The events in the A.R. World of Kuuga is similar to the TV Series minus a few changes.
2) TO ALL… I'm not going to do SUPER DETAILED descriptions on every Rider… because that is like stabbing my brain with a plastic fork. I will however do only some super detailed descriptions on a certain few… will not say whom yet.
Here's what I'll do... each chapter (not each but you get what I mean) will be like the TV Show so this is just the first part of the A.R. World of Kuuga arc. Next week, part 2. And so forth.
