Nick POV

Long time no see and hopefully updates won't take forever

I can't believe that we're going to have a kit and it happened so so fast. We're lucky in that regard and are thankful for that. We know that never is lucky in that regard. I feel so excited right now like we're going to burst. Knowing that's how Shutterbug feels right now. The feeling is one of the best feelings we can have. Still holding and give her another kiss.

"Get a room."

Bigots won't ruin our day, not a chance. Today is a joyful day nothing going to ruin our day. Even if it's going to start pouring. This isn't the first time we have been told that and it won't be the last time. Bigots just hate seeing us in love and we don't bother them. Anyway, Shutterbug was so creative about telling me we're going to have a kit. If the roles were reversed I would tell by art.

"They're going to be so happy," I say

We have been talking about having a pup ourselves for we're ready for that step. Shutterbug and I have been focusing on older kits for we know they're the ones that need caring and love the most. The majority adopt babies since they have no worries. No kit should age out of the foster care system that's a sad state and right now we're focusing on the good sunflowers. Mom and dad will be happy because they have been waiting for this. Shutterbug and I have been waiting as well. Mackenzie and Kaia are going to have another pup. They're going to have a son and no name currently. They still have time to decide and we'll decide on a name for our son or daughter when the timing is right. Holly's growing up to be a wonderful vixen. She reminds me of Kaia and Katheryn.

"For it's something wonderful," Katheryn said

First, we're going to tell our kids and they know we were trying. We decided to tell them for they have the right to know the truth. We don't want them feeling left out or that we're going to send them back. It was an important and difficult task.

We around gathered around it's a nice cool fall day. We've gathered around in a sea of red, yellow, red, and brown. There's this nice scent of fall and the winter will be coming soon. This means we have to get ready for Christmas. This year Christmas is going to be great and we can't wait. Today is perfect for a picnic and that's what we're having. We have a large blanket and in the middle is the picnic basket. Which holds bug sandwiches, chips everyone's favorite flavors, apples, and peppers, and we have water or pop to drink. Shutterbug doesn't like pop but doesn't mind when we drink it. We don't overdo it and have pop for meals like pizza, bug burgers, and bug dogs.

"Yummy sandwich," Mari said

Picnics are so great and have enjoyed them all my life. It's nice that our kits enjoy picnics as well, They like we let them have what they want. We won't force them to eat what they don't like. We still make sure they eat fruit and vegetables They do just not all vegetables and we can deal with that. After all, Shutterbug and I don't eat all vegetables. I won't get celery and Shutterbug watermelon radish. Looking at kits and we've all gathered around. Mari is sitting next to Mackenzie and Soren. Percy and Virgil are sitting next to each other. Of course, Shutterbug and I are sitting next to each other. Percy is sitting by himself we're still trying to bond with him. It's a work in progress. We knew that was going to happen with older kits. They're going to need a lot of care and love.

"So what's the reason we're having a picnic?" Percy asked

Percy is smart and picks up on things. We know that he picked up that skill living in the foster system. It's sad and we would never do something to hurt them. But we do have something important to talk to them about. We decided to talk outside for getting fresh air is always good.

"Is it bad news?' Virgil asked

"No, it's good news," Katheryn said

"That's good," Mackenzie said

We know when to give bad news and this isn't bad news not at all. Shutterbug and I have been talking about it for a while. Knowing that it was going to happen since we were young. To have our own kits. Shutterbug and I waited until we were ready to have our own kits. Now we're ready to have our own. Now we're going to make sure that they're ready as well. We want them to know and tell us how they feel. For their feelings matter as well and if they're not ready we'll wait.

"What's the good news?" Soren asked

"Katheryn and I have been talking about having a biological kit," I say

Katheryn and I sign what we say so Virgil can understand. We're going to let them think about it for a few minutes. Shutterbug and I hold paws with each other and we have friendly smiles on our faces. We want them to feel good and happy just like us. Percy is uncertain we knew that he was going to feel that way. He has dealt with this before and it hasn't ended well. This time it's not going to happen.

"So we'll have a little sister or brother?" Mari asked

"Yes, you will," Katheryn said

"Are we going to help take care of him or her?" Virgil asked

"Only if you want to," I say

Also, sign for Virgil and we would never force them to take care of him or her. That's our job as parents and they'll help if they want to. We will show them how to feed and change a diaper. Just like we learned in health class by taking care of that fake baby. Now just realized we're going to those someday. That brings back memories those were interesting days.

"So I can help feed him and her. I can hold him or her?" Mackenzie said

"Of course, we'll teach you how to do it," Katheryn said

Unlike them, we're going to let them help us. They can hold their little brother or sister. We'll teach them how to hold a kit. How to feed and change a diaper. No one is looking forward to that. Mackenzie loves playing with dolls. For Christmas, we're getting her one of the dolls she has been asking for.

"I want to help out," Soren said

Soren has taken younger mammals when he was living on the street and has enjoyed it. He always made sure they had food, water, clothes, and things to do. He played with the younger kits and all of them are going to be great older brothers and sisters.

"So what about us?" Percy asked

"What is he talking about?" Mari asked

"You're saying with us for you're our sons and daughters." I say "We're going to be a big family."

"We do mean it nothing going change that you're our daughters and sons," Katheryn said

Shutterbug and I sign for Virgil. We always wanted to have a big family since we had a small one. I didn't want our kits growing up as only kits those nothing wrong with it for I enjoyed it. A kit should have a playmate and learn life lessons. Katheryn tries to hold his paw in a caring way and Percy moves his paw. It hurts Shutterbug but she hides the hurt.

"We're going to be one big happy family," Virgil said

"Big families are good," Soren

"My old family was big and I liked it," Mackenzie said

"Never experienced it but it sounds enjoyable," Mari said

Percy doesn't say anything and eats his lunch. We knew that he was going to react like this. Poor kiddo has a rough life. Being sent to different foster homes after a kit was born. Or being forgotten in big families. So we're going to take it one day at a time. Caring and love will get to him we know it. So far he hasn't called us mom and dad but the others have. Hearing it the first time was so emotional for both of us. Taking a bite of my sandwich and overall this went well.

We're glad that it went well and they're still excited about having a little sister or brother. Percy still doesn't like it. The pup room going to be upstairs. We have a baby monitor to watch our pup. Video camera no question stories have freaked us out we don't want a sicko watching our kits. Those we do have Jingle on the front door. We have been lucky with no close calls with a break-in. Where we live is a safe neighborhood and we're liked in the neighborhood. Not fully trusted but it's nice that we're liked. We get invited to cookouts and gatherings they're a blast. It took some time for them to warm up to eating food we made, The neighborhood kits do like our kits and of course, there's bullying. We do deal with it that's something that won't stop. Mammals are always going to think they're better than others. That they feel the power when they hurt others. Shutterbug and I are teaching our kits to not be bullies and if they do we'll punish them as they should be punished. We would be surprised if that happened for we teach good values. We do know that bad mammals can come from good homes.

"Our pup is going to be one talented fox art and photography will ruin those his or her veins," Nick said

Placing my paws on Katheryn's stomach I don't feel a pup yet. It's too soon for he or she would only be a few weeks old. Not too bushed up on pregnancy. Haven't had health class since freshmen of high school. But there's one growing inside of her. Our little boy or girl is going to be great.

"That would be amazing," Katheryn said

We'll have a check-up soon and seeing our pup on an ultrasound will be so great. That will be a keeper for sure. As much as we want to stay here we have to head back to work. Still have a few hours left. Grabbing her left paw and we head back to our business.

Our business hasn't changed much in looks don't fix what's not broken. What we have created is great and wouldn't change it. Some new pictures and artwork are hanging out. Each of us has artwork or pictures hanging on the walls. Mammals do love seeing our work. Looking over at Rory Fernson we became instant friends after he helped Katheryn. He's a fantastic photographer and clients love his work. Those Shutterbug has the best photographs and I do believe that. Even when she's my best friend I would stand by that.

"Alright time to say cheese," Rory said

"Cheese."

Rory works well with kits and can make them smile. There's a flash a few minutes later. It was heartbreaking to hear about his story. First lost his wife and I would be a wreck if I lost Katheryn. To be lost without our kits. I would just be a con artist wasting my life away. Giving a skunk butt rug to a mob boss I don't know why I would think I would do that. That's a bad idea that would get me killed. I'm glad his life is doing better for he deserves it he's a good gentlemammal and protected Shutterbug. We're forever grateful for his selfless actions. As for Mr. Stone well, he's still rotting and will be for the rest of his life. One stone fell many others fell as well. He has been clean for about two years and we're proud of him. We know he can do it for the rest of his life.

"Alright all done your parents are going to love the picture," Rory said

"You think so."

"I know so," Rory said

Roy smiles even those it hurts and told us he did want to focus on kit photography does help him out. Seeing kits smiles and helping them to discover more fulfilling than drugs ever did. He's honest about his past and that has chased away clients and we don't blame him. Mammals like that are one of the worst. Everyone has made mistakes and he never hurt anyone. Just himself by ending up on the streets. Never rob anyone of their money for drugs for his wife and kits kept him from sinking that low. Did use money given to him for drugs that kept the pain and bad memories away. He told us he tried saving his kits and risked his life. Yet he couldn't and they died before his eyes. That would destroy any parent. Watching their older sister pay for the pictures. The kits take some Yums Yums the little suckers that places have for little kits. They don't cost much and the kits enjoy them Lucky enjoys them. We like them as well. Shutterbug's favorite flavor is blue raspberry and mine is blueberry. Soren is strawberry for he loves strawberries. Mari peach-mango Virgil loves root beer Mackenzie cotton candy. Percy tells he's told old but we have seen him enjoying fruit punch.

"Great work Rory the kits love you," I say

"Thank you, Nick and I have missed that." Rory said, "I used to be the favorite dad friend."

At first, we didn't want to bring up things like that but Rory told us to do so. He wants to talk he wants to remember he wants to feel even the pain. He wants to experience life not shun it away. He has fun stories and he was a popular dad. Making the dad jokes I do the same and they don't like it. Of course, I don't think any kits like them I sure didn't. Those did laugh more after almost losing my dad. I still thought they were bad but realized I would have missed them. Rory and I have talked about the pain of losing a loved one. I haven't lost as he has but we still can talk. He does the same with Shutterbug and he does know how feels to have bad parents. I'm glad Shutterbug can talk about it with someone who experienced toxic parenting. That's where his addiction comes from and saw a lot of drug use. His parents are still alive just barely losing themselves to drugs. Rory hearing what would be my life was good for him to talk about how he felt. It's a good feeling that I can help out someone else.

"We would have been your friends," I say

"I would have been proud to call you a friend and taught you a few things," Rory said

Rory heads over to get some coffee and we're careful with drinks. We either have tea or coffee and I enjoy both. Shutterbug only likes tea and I see her happily working away. I should get back to working on my artwork. It won't take long to do what I paid for, simply, I can do it in my sleep. Those I do enjoy for I do giving others artwork they paid me for. I believe that everyone should have artwork in their homes for art brings inspiration to a home. We have so much at home. Rather it's my artwork or from our kits. Along with Shutterbug pictures and our kits. Makes our home lively, fun, and inspirational.

"We would have been happy to learn," I say

Rory heads over to his stop and I focus my attention back on my work. Kami has been working away and life has been good to him. Married and plans to have no kits but he's a loving uncle. His wife is cool and we enjoy her company. Serenity life is also good life and currently on a field job. She likes taking them for they help her out. I remember the texts I got that stopped my heart for a moment. Of course, I was joking about making her would-be mugger disappear we watch too many crime shows. On the way back Shutterbug told me what happened. It took me by surprise. The lioness never saw it coming and my Shutterbug got spunk. Of course, the tripod helped and I do feel bad for her. Their abuse messed her up violence is never the answer they made her never forget it. So she wouldn't put up a fight even if it meant protecting herself. I hate them horrible monsters. I wonder if that changed since becoming a mother since this robbery is the first since becoming a mother. That's what lead her to break that robber's arm and she'll be going to jail for some time with a broken arm.

"Alright back to work."

Taking out my pencil and drawing over my light sketch. Even master artists like myself can make mistakes. So I always start with a light sketch before adding a rougher sketch and pen. Shutterbug would love this sketch for she would be a mage in a fantasy world. For she always loved magic. I would be the handsome rogue or archer. Sketching out tigress mage and I gave her a beautiful robe. The staff is grand and based on her idea that drew which is amazing by the way. She wrote to me she can't draw mammals or clothing well but can draw weapons and magic. She's summoning a powerful windstorm. Shutterbug would storm a powerful flower storm. I have drawn that before. Created some for our kits. Soren is a brave warrior, Virgil a powerful wizard, Mari a skilled cleric, Mackenzie a talented bard, and Percy a warlock. I also made one for Aspen and she's a powerful sorcerer using magic to replace her limbs. She loves the artwork I created for her. Framed it and hangs it proudly which makes me happy. Also made this large artwork with all of us together. There are multiple of them telling a grand adventure sort of like a comic book.

"You would be an ally," I say

Now I do the fine marker to make the art stand out. I will follow the colors she wanted me to use. I do honor those who pay me to do commissions. I love the feeling of bringing out their commissions for I love to see other artwork and ideas. It only takes a few minutes to do the whole sketch. For the wind magic, I match the colors of the wind she wanted that. Using fancy markers for this sketch and the best markers I have. They're my favorite markers and the best in my opinion. Picking up greens and purples for her robe. I slowly color the sketch out. She asked for full color and that's what she's getting. That costs more but I charge fairly. It only takes a few minutes to finish the sketch. Adding my signature on the bottom.

"Alright all done," I say

Now I just got to put in an envelope and send it in the mail. She wrote down her address and I don't remember them. I also make sure clients don't find the addresses keeping them hidden and then destroying them. Take one of the small ones and fit the sketch into the envelope. Sealing the envelope and then taking a black pen. Writing down her address and adding a stamp. I place the envelope with the others then ripped up her address and we'll set the mail after work. Having some to send in the mail both artwork and pictures.

Seeing that Serenity is back and is chatting with Shutterbug. We'll gather our friends around after we tell our kits and our parents. We'll tell them in a few days since we have a friend night and today our kits and tonight our parents. Looks like she enjoyed the field job.

"I'm glad that you're alright I heard about the attempt of robbery." Serenity said

Kami and Rory were worried as well when they heard what happened. Also, we're glad that she was alright and we're shocked as well. They do know her well even when Kami is more of my friend. Serenity is the same way with me.

"It was a scary moment." Katheryn said, "I'm glad it wasn't too bad."

Our kits are going to pick up that she was hurt. We're honest with our kits and tell mature things in a kid-friendly way. Just as a parent should do. Kits are smarter than we realize and sheltering will harm them. I'm glad that Kathern had the support she needed they taught her little. It still makes me mad that parents like them exist and they shouldn't be parents. But without the Icenhowler's I wouldn't no we wouldn't have Katheryn. Light can be found in darkness.

"We're all glad for that," I say

Shutterbug smiles at me and I smile back. Looking up at the clock business hours are almost up. Today was a slow day and we still have days like that. Sometimes slow days a good after busy long days. Most of the time it's dreadfully boring. We're all finished for today just have to send out the mail and that won't take long. A half-hour later our business is closed for today and we went about our early evening. Shutterbug and I hold paws as we walk over to the post office in the downtown area district of Zootopia. Each district has a post office or things would be chaotic.

"I'm looking forward to pizza," Katheryn said

"Pizza night is always good," I say

We do have routines for dinner and once a week we plan to have pizza. Sometimes it's more than that and we all love pizza. Of course, they don't like pineapple on pizza and think we're crazy for liking it. So we just have on our own all alone and more for us. We get pizzas that we'll all like. Most of the time frozen pizza and we make them on a pizza maker best way to have pizza. Sometimes we make our pizza and that's an idea they love. Percy is an excellent pizza maker and we have seen him take pride in that. As treat, we do have pizza from pizza places and the most popular vote gets chosen. Her voice was off something bothering Shutterbug.

"What is it Shutterbug," I ask

"I'm worried that I will like foods that I don't like." Katheryn said, "Those hormones will change me to someone I'm not like. To someone that you won't love."

Knowing Shutterbug I knew that was coming up. My mother told us she did enjoy food that she didn't like before when pregnant. Found herself not minding the food after she gave birth to me. Shutterbugs can worry about minor things for they seem big to her. I'm not bothered by that and help her out.

"You won't change and I will always love you." I say "Mashed potatoes will always be your enemy just like celery for me. You have nothing to worry about."

"Thank you, Nick," Katheryn said, "The Icenhowlers told me that I would change since pregnancy isn't right for someone with autism."

They're monsters for doing that to Kathern. They didn't want her to learn, they just wanted her to be lifeless and live in a home. That's what they thought about autism. They're wrong for Autistics are capable of so much they just need the right resources to do so. Shutterbug got them and now she has an amazing life.

"Well, they were wrong like they always were," I say

"Not in everything but I do know what you mean." Kathern said, "Tonight's pizza will be a treat."

"You read my mind," I say

After the news we got tonight is the perfect night to have a special treat. Knowing that they are going to like that for they love going out to eat. They wouldn't go out to eat much when in the foster system. We want them to experience life and eating a mix of food is good for life for you only live once. Or at least in this world for we believe we have different lives in different worlds and we told our kits about that. They like thinking about it just as we do. Shutterbug and I head over to the post office and drop off the mail before heading over to my parents.

Mom and dad live in nice a apartment and our kits are like hanging out here. They switch between grandparents there will be no favorites. Each grandparent and great-grandmother are great kit sitters. They love doing it because they love seeing their grandkits. Of course, they love seeing their grandparents. Getting close to their apartment feels like I'm going to burst. I want to tell them right now but I can hold it in for our kit's sake. For we promised we'll tell them first and we don't break promises. So we don't make promises we don't keep. Those that can be difficult. There's a sign on the door made by our kits. Such an artistic sign that we love. I knock on the door and it's the respectful thing to do.

"Dad and mother are here!" Soren said

They do know our knocks and they will check in the eye hole for safety. We taught them all about safety because we want them to be safe. The door unlocks a few moments later and we head in. We either get hugs or high paws. Hugs are earned not given we respect how they feel. Mackenzie and Soren love hugs and we always give one to them. Virgil likes hugs too so we give one to him as well. Mari, it depends on how she's feeling. Percy doesn't like them currently and has been a bit distant. I think he has jumped to the conclusion Shutterbug is pregnant.

"Mother and father!"

Other than Percy they were quick to call us mother and father. Dad and mom, daddy and mommy too. It was thrilling the first time we heard it and never gets old. Hearing from Percy going to be thrilling. We're gathered around with our kits and Percy still sits on the chair he's sitting at but he does wave to us with a small smile. So all is not all lost we smile and wave at him. He's working on homework and dad is helping him out. We get into a group hug and it's a wonderful feeling.

"Mom you're hurt," Mari said

"It happened during work a bad mammal tried to rob me and I didn't let that happen. It does hurt a little and your kisses will make it all better."

That makes them happy for they love giving us magical kisses to make us feel better. We give the same magical kisses. Shutterbug gets to their level and gets kisses from them. Percy pushes back we take one day at a time. Percy does look upset and gives Shutterbug a caring smile. Mom and dad looked worried and would know what happened. It would appear on the news you don't hear a robber's arm being broken by the victim they were trying to rob.

"We're glad that you're alright." Rachel said

"Yep for you don't back down when comes to photography," John said

That she does and it's a part of her wonderful personality. I kiss her on the cheek. I would get the same about art I learned from my mother. There will be no stolen art supplies when I'm around. I would defend myself from a robber.

"That she does and who's ready for special pizza?!" Katheryn asked

"Oh, we are!" Soren said

Percy looks up and he knows what's up. I do see an upset look on his face but hides it a few moments later. I feel for him and we would never hurt him. Never hurt our kits as others have. We are their parents who cared for and love them.

"What kind?' Virgil signed

"That will be for you to decide," I say

That gets them talking and signing that always gets to them. We make sure that there's no fighting or the treat meal is over. We give them three chances and they're good kits and listen. So far we haven't canceled a treat night. As they talk they gather their things and put them in their backpacks. They do this every day so we can get going.

"We have a special treat for grown-ups tonight," I say

"Great we're not doing anything tonight we'll be there," John said

My parent's nights are mostly calm relaxing at home and still have date nights. Mom spends a lot of her time doing art and dad loves to sketch outfits. They also enjoy watching shows and movies. Great Grandmother Marissa won't be busy. Same for Kaia, Mackenzie, and her parents will be free and will be there as well. Percy already has packed his things and we hear a popular choice and that's what pizza night will be. Everyone is packed up and ready to go.

"Goodbye, grandma and grandpa we'll see you later."

"See you later our lovely grandkits," John said

They'll be in time for nighttime and will be able to tell them goodnight. Girls share a room and gentlemammals share a room too. Percy has his room above the garage. Having his own room works for him and his brothers. After goodbyes, we head off to dinner. Feeling hungry and ready to tell the news.

Pizza Grange is a pizza place we enjoy. You can enjoy all the pizza you want. There are also salads and ice cream. There are many pizzas to choose from and of course, Shutterbug's favorite is mac and cheese pizza. This is one of the places she can get mac and cheese pizza. Her second favorite is Pawiian. My favorite is bug sausage and bacon also do love Pawiian. Virgil's favorite is supreme and Mari is Pawiian as well. Mackenzie's favorite is bug pepperoni and Soren is bug sausage and green pepper. Finally Percy's favorite three-bug meat pizza. They eat as much as they can and they can eat a lot of pizza. We have been enjoying pizza. Shutterbug has been having mostly mac and cheese pizza. I eat her crusts if she doesn't eat them for she doesn't like crust mostly. On bread and pies never but on pizza it depends. Stuff crust she loves. Soft crust she eats and those with herbs and species she likes. Hard crust is no good. If she eats pizza crust she starts with that for saving the best for last. During dinner, we have no phones and talk during dinner. We enjoy hearing about their days and they enjoy hearing about our days.

"So what do you have to tell us?" Soren asked

Of course, they would know that we have news to tell them. Kits are smarter than we realize and they would know what's up. We do treat them and it is in a way but it's more about the news we have for them. Taking a sip of my pop and Shutterbug is enjoying her raspberry tea. Kits are enjoying their pop. We're in the back area of the restaurant it makes sense since we're foxes. Not bothered by it we can talk more without others listening in.

"Yes, we do have news," I say

"It's wonderful news," Katheryn said

That does make them happy other than Percy. He's saddened and annoyed and we knew that was coming. That's what trauma does to you. Hopefully, with therapy and us he can heal from that trauma. We will be there for him no matter how long it takes.

"Oh, we love that kind of news," Mackenzie said

"Yes, we do," Mari said

Mari's head twitches and she hums as well. Those her tics we're not bothered by it for that's part of who she is. There's nothing wrong with Tourette's and its mammal's views on it. We do get looks and whispers and we tell them to mind their own business. Mari developing like a kit her age and doesn't have any difficulties with school. We know mammals with Tourette's can have other conditions like autism. She does have a Sutter and told her to not be ashamed of that for we all mess up words. So far it's Tourette's and Sutter but we suspect she'll have anxiety. We're not experts in that regard but it's something we have seen.

"Happy faces mean good news." Virgil signs

"Good news is the best kind of news," Soren said

"If that's how you see it," Percy whispered

Percy eats more of his pizza and drinks some pop. Shutterbug and I look at each other we're ready to hear that. There wasn't a lot of anger in his voice but it was still there. We'll have a talk with them later and them if they need it.

"W….what does h..he mean?" Mari asked

"Nothing to worry about," Soren said

Soren holds Mari's paw and smiles at her. Soren is a great older brother. Helping his brothers and sisters when they need it. They're all great siblings to each other. They do have fights like normal siblings but they make up. They love each other and see each other as true brothers and sisters. We're glad about that.

"It is I didn't mean to worry you, sis." Percy said, "I should think before I speak."

"Oh, that's good. I was ..w..w..worried." Mari said

Mari hums and Percy gives her his chocolate pudding to her as an apology. Which she accepts and smiles at him. Taking a bite of pizza and Percy eats more of his pizza. We wait for a few moments to tell the news.

"Our news is that you're going to have a younger brother or sister." We say

That does make them happy and Percy looks down. They talk among themselves and indoor voices. Talking about having a little brother or sister they will have. We knew that they were going to be happy with this news. We love seeing the happy looks on their faces and Shutterbug takes pictures.

We're hanging out on the covered porch as mom and dad put their grandkits to sleep. It's their turn tonight there are shifts. The covered porch is a place we like to hang out when the weather is bad or just to hang out. Nothing outstanding about the porch a regular roof and large windows. Of course, filled with window clings it looks so beautiful. Currently, a winter theme so lots of snowflakes and snow foxes. Two lantern-looking lights hanging from the ceiling one on each side. There's a bench and chairs to sit on. A table can be set up when we want to eat outdoors when the weather is bad or cold. Or playing broad games we have family game nights. They love doing that. Bathtime and a bedtime story are something they enjoy. Then giving a goodnight kiss and they fall asleep. Currently, they're on bath time. Percy is with us because we wanted to talk to him. Kaia, Mackenzie, Marissa, and her parents are sitting in the living room talking to each other so we have a private talk.

"Percy how are you feeling about this," Katheryn said "We won't be upset or mad at the truth."

We want our kits to talk about how they feel for holding it will hurt them and others. Percy has difficulties with his emotions. It has to deal with how he was raised and born. We're helping him out with his emotions by what we're told by professionals. We knew that was the best way to help him. Percy's glad for the help for he doesn't like feeling like did.

"I'm happy for my siblings. I feel good for you two you're nice and loving but I don't like it. No, I hate it I hate the pregnancy." Percy said, "I won't hate him or her for they're innocent."

Percy looks down and holds a stress ball. He has different stress toys and they help him out a lot. Currently is using a rainbow stress ball. He squeezes the stress ball and that does make him feel calm. Just like Shutterbug with her camera motion. We all should have something to calm us down so we don't last out. Percy likes his stress toys for it feels better than lashing out. Told us it felt bad and he didn't want to scare or hurt others.

"We're happy to hear what you have to say that's good Percy," Katheryn said

"So you're not mad about how I feel?" Percy said, "Are you hurt? Are you going to hate me?"

"No, you have the right to feel the way you do." Katheryn said "We want you to express how you feel. It hurts but pain is part of life."

"No, we could never hate you," I say "good and bad feelings are part of life we feel them all. They're not bad how we use our negative emotions can be bad."

We're truthful with our kits about feelings for holding them back is bad. Lying is as well as for Santa Claws and the Tooth Fairy they can be real. Just because we can't see them doesn't mean they don't exist. Hearing him say he hates it does hurt but he has his feelings and is allowed to express how he feels. He won't react badly to it just showing how he feels. He has bark but doesn't have a bite for doesn't want to hurt or scare others. He squeezes the stress ball a few times. We're teaching our kits to express how they feel even when they're bad feelings. Shutterbug has difficulty with that especially when it comes to jealousy. Still hates they make her feel like a bad vixen. Catherynne is helping her out and we're glad for her. She's becoming a great psychiatrist. Learned that bad habit from the monsters they always set to weigh her down.

"I loved my siblings," Percy said

There are a few good squeezes and he doesn't look at us. We know he's hurt and we wish we could make him feel better. We wish that we can take the pain away that others gave to him; for he has challenges. The majority don't want broken kits they way perfect ones. There's that past tense again.

"We won't replace you, Percy none of you for you're our sons and daughters," I say

"We do mean that family isn't tied by blood but by bonds," Katheryn said

"I heard that before lies they tell you," Percy said "We want you we care and love you. We have so much love we want to give it out. We don't want kits growing up alone. You're our son you are part of our family. Nothing will drive us apart. Blood is one way but our connections are another. All lies they just want biological kits. Foster and adopted kits just make them look good. That they just want the money."

Percy squeezes the stress ball tightly he does that when he's stressed and has rising anger. That hurts when we hear that. Both of us know he has heard that before being sent back. How could parents do that to their sons and daughters? Percy still doesn't look at us and holding back his tears.

"We would never do that to you." We say

"I don't believe you and goodnight Katheryn and Nick," Percy said

We let him go for we know that's for the best. Hearing the door open and somewhat a hard close. One of our rules is no slamming doors. There are better ways to show your anger. Shutterbug and I hold paws and we're taking it one day at a time. We lay on each other just enjoying the silence. We get to have the silence for a few minutes until they gather around.

"So how were goodnights?" Katheryn asked

"It went well they were happy kits bright smiles on their faces." Rachel said

"Yep told a great bedtime story and we gave them lots of goodnight kisses," John said

"They always look forward to goodnights from their grandparents," Katheryn said

"I remember I always called them granny and grandpop."

"For those are the best nights," Kaia said

"Agreed there's something special about grandparents' love," Mackenzie said

Kaia touches her stomach and a beautiful kit is growing inside of her. Mackenzie sits next to her they hold paws. We have that to look forward to. Little Holly is growing up to be a wonderful vixen for Mackenzie and Kaia are wonderful mothers. Katheryn smiles and they will find out they also have something to look forward to. I did enjoy nights like that for I loved my grandparents until they died. They were sweet loving grandparents and they would be happy for us. The grandparents sit together and we all have hot chocolate to enjoy. Made Great Grandmother Marissa.

"Both loved hearing that." John said, "Always made my parents happy."

"We enjoy those days," Marissa said

Mackenzie's parents agree and I'm sure we will once we get to that age. But that's in the far future and we're focusing on the now. I take a sip of my hot chocolate and it tastes fantastic. Hot and chocolatey just as hot chocolate should be. It's nice for us to be gathered around life has been busy and we haven't gathered up like this in what feels like forever. Time can fly by before we know it.

"That we're glad for," I say

"So what brings us here sport?" John asked

"We're having a baby." Katheryn and I say

That gets them so excited and they always wanted more grandkits. Also to see some pups for they love holding little pups. Holly got held a lot by her grandparents. It will be the same for their newest pup and the same for ours. We're looking forward to that and we hear congrats from Mackenzie's parents.

"Oh, joyful I get to see another great grandkit." Marissa said, "Another joy to look forward to in my retired life."

Marissa's life is a quiet retired life and she enjoys it. Occasionally she does help with photography she has a good each for pictures. Or trailering for she is still good with her paws. Very active for her age.

"Congrats you two and we have been waiting for that." Rachel said

"We can't wait to see he or she more red fox or arctic," John said

Shutterbug and I are looking forward to that as well. Since we're two different species of foxes our kits will be a beautiful mix of that. They will on take what genetics are the strongest so our son or daughter would either be red arctic or arctic red. We won't know until he or she is born. That will be a long wait.

"Congrats sister," Kaia said

"We're happy for two," Mackenzie said

"We're so happy as well." Katheryn said, "I'm still wrapping my head around it."

"You'll do great Katheryn and I here for advice and help." Rachel said

My mom and Shutterbug hold paws with each and I'm glad she can have a mother. That monster would have never treated her like that. Always treated Katheryn like she was a lesser mammal. She would hate that she's pregnant. Great news her thoughts don't matter and we won't be bothered by them.

"I know and I'm thankful for that," Katheryn said, "The thought of a little boy or girl excites me so much I love the feeling. Never thought we would lucky to have this so fast I would guess almost four weeks pregnant."

"Yes, it's wonderful big sis, and oh….." Kaia said, "He got an extra Christmas present."

Seeing Katheryn so joyful is wonderful to see I won't forget that. We let out small laughs and Shutterbug smiles and laughs. Her face is almost like my fur. That slipped out of her tongue. None of them are uncomfortable after all they have sex. I hold her paw.

"That present is turning out to be great," I say

"Yah it is a great present," Katheryn said

Shutterbug's face is still red and I can understand why sex isn't a big deal to her. Many would state I should be bothered by that I'm not we do have it and marriage is more than sex. Anyway, I love Katheryn for who she is and am beyond happy with how our relationship works. I wouldn't change our and other lives in different relationships it would be different. Katheryn's not bothered that nor I'm for hers. Shutterbug's relationships are more romantic than sexual for that's how she is. Perfect in that regards just like how I feel.

"You two are so adorable," Mackenzie said

"Reminds me of young Rachel and me." John said, "Our parents were so happy to hear about you."

Lucky with my red fur you can't tell my face is blushing. Dad is so happy and I remember that video. They captured it on time like Shutterbug is doing with pictures and video. Now we have it digitally as tapes are thing of the past. More of a collector item or gathering dust in storage boxes. We do have a few as keepsakes to remember the past. Memories were changed to a DVD or digitally so we can have them forever. It's been since we were in middle school to have a VCR player. The last one Shutterbug had eaten a movie we were watching. Oddly a DVD of Toy Story 3 was stuck for some time.

"Oh great, I will turn like my dad when I get old," I say

"Hey, we're not old just older sport," John said, "You can't live up to me for there's only one Johnathan Kirk Wilde."

"I'm the one that's old," Marissa said

We all laugh and I wouldn't mind becoming like my dad he's a great fox. I know that I'm a great fox in my way. For that's how are we are. I'm glad that they're happy this feels so good. It's always nice to feel this way full on sunflower blossoms. Percy currently wilting but he will find his light to blossom into a beautiful flower. I know I have wilted and Shutterbug light has helped me out. I do the same for her and now our kits do the same for us. We will help him find his way no matter what. Everyone deserves to blossom into something beautiful. Shuttering and I still hold paws as they talk among themselves.

I wanted to show how difficult living in the foster system and moving from home to home can affect you. He's not a bad kit just hurting. I wanted to do that with Percy a young teen. Talking is key don't hold back your emotions. Everyone should have something to deal with stress and anger the world would be a better place.
