Disclaimer: This story is a Side Story to Yu-Gi-Oh! Dragon Knight Reborn! I do not own Kamen Rider Decade or any Kamen Rider Series. Characters may be SLIGHTLY OOC due to the story and events. I do own an OC in this story but I will not say who yet.
This is Chapter 10 of the Decade Side Story for DKR. Please enjoy it like a fan for Kamen Rider and for Dragon Knight Reborn. Please enjoy!
Chapter 10.5: World of Heaven
Tsukasa and Dragon stare to look at Mayu who is looking at the man who is her brother. Tsukasa just observes this, confused as if not getting the gist of this situation.
''Tsukasa-kun!'' He turns to see Natsumi and Absol arriving. Dragonic decides it was time to go as he dashes to grab Mayu as he and Tsukasa with the others escape the area. Kabuto did the same, vanishing. The man that was formerly TheBee looks at his destroyed Zecter but then smirks sinisterly.
Taking her back to her grandmother's small restaurant, Mayu informs Tsukasa and the others that that man was no doubt her brother, but he looked so different with the scar he had and the outfit he had on. Still… Tsukasa was still suspicious about it.
He sits pondering in Hikari Studio, taking a sip on his coffee with Dragonic.
''So Mayu's brother was TheBee. That doesn't add up.'' Yusuke utters, having been told of what's going on. Tsukasa looks up and scoffs amazed even Yusuke could tell this was off.
Tsukasa then recalls how TheBee's user, the so-called Soji, tried to kill his own sister while trying to kill him. Even if it meant getting rid of an enemy, no human would let their obsession end up with the death of a sibling.
''He stared at her with no regard, not even caring when we were fighting and his attack could have killed her.'' He states, thinking back more how the man was so obsessed in hunting down Kabuto for an injury so far he doesn't tell his own family that he's alive. Obsessed, he was obsessed. ''His obsession for Kabuto… his obsession…''
It then hit Tsukasa recalling the Worm that took on his form, doing everything in his way to be the real Tsukasa.
''Could it be?'' Tsukasa starts uttering out astonished at his brilliance. Could it be that Mayu's brother, or that man she assumes is his brother is not him but a Worm mimicking him. And Kabuto could be her real brother.
''What?'' Yusuke asks, puzzled not following. Tsukasa just eyes him disgusted by his face, trying to explain it. ''That man, that Soji is not Soji, he's a-''
Just then his phone starts ringing. Tsukasa scoffs, pulling out his phone and answers lightheartedly. ''Hello?''
''HELP US TSUKASA-KUN!'' Natsumi's voice screams loudly from the other end. Tsukasa hangs up and sighs, stating very calmly. ''Duty calls. Take care of the house Yusuke.''
''A-ah…'' Yusuke just utters out as Tsukasa and Dragonic left in a hurry.
The two run off with Dragonic leading Tsukasa as they find Natsumi being protected by Absol by a Worm with Detect… that turns into Mayu. The two are startled by this as they could tell Mayu was just as shocked and runs away.
Tsukasa walks up to Natsumi who explains a Worm was going to kill them but Mayu stopped it by becoming a Worm herself.
''So that was Mayu?'' Tsukasa mutters astonished that she's a Worm… but then… the real Mayu; could it be that she's dead?
''The mystery thickens.'' He mutters more curiously. However, before they know it, someone is sent flying off a building and screams descending. ''GAAH!''
The group turns as something crashes near them. On top of a destroyed car he crashed upon, it is Diend grunting before reverting back to a badly hurt Kaito. Natsumi gasps surprised with Tsukasa, grinning, and takes a photo of that epic fail.
Kaito drags himself off the car he landed on, not believing that capturing Kabuto would be this damn hard.
''You alright Kaito?'' Tsukasa asks with a small smirk. Daiki just chuckles in agony as he drags himself while uttering out. ''Perfectly well… Tsukasa-san…''
They watch as Daiki limps away.
Returning back to the Hikari Studio, Natsumi sighs worryingly as they have gone to the Heaven House to check if Mayu was there but she hasn't returned home. This worries her as does Tsukasa, wondering what's going on.
Just then, Gatack user arrives badly wounded, explaining that Sou, TheBee's user, had taken Mayu and revealed himself as a Worm planning to kill Kabuto as the last resistance to conquering Earth.
Natsumi staggers heavily helping the guy up as Dragonic reminds Tsukasa to do his job. ''Time to go hero.''
Tsukasa scoffs at that stupid sentence but admitting he has to be the one to deal with this. After all, Mayu deserves to be with her true brother.
''Natsumikan-'' He begins to tell Natsumi he'll be back but she tells him really mad. ''Show her she's more human than that man, Tsukasa-kun!''
Tsukasa startles but slowly smirks nodding. With that, he and Dragonic headed off.
The duo runs off to where ZECT Headquarters are and sees the massive satellite that is meant to negate Clock Up.
''Expect a lot of worms.'' Dragonic warns the young rider of the danger they'll be in. Tsukasa scoffs, telling him. ''Don't worry. This will be easy.''
''You will be.'' Tsukasa stops on his tracks as he and Dragonic look ahead to see Narutaki standing in their way.
''Your travels end here, Decade!'' He declares vanishing through an Aurora Curtain and in his place is Kamen Rider Glaive, coming at him with his card holder attached sword. Tsukasa ducks and evades the slashes backing away quickly
''Well let's settle this fast Tsukasa-kun.'' Dragonic tells him. Tsukasa was a step ahead of him, strapping on the Decadriver around his waist. ''Agreed.''
Glaive breathes angrily preparing to kill him as Tsukasa is ready to smack him apart but then they feel a quake. This surprises them as the sky opens up and the flying train, DenLiner, flies out through a portal.
''The DenLiner? Why is it here?'' Tsukasa questions rather unease, hoping it just leaves and-
However something or rather someone literally jumps off the train. Tsukasa and Dragonic look up and widen their eyes to see Momotaros, screaming for his life. ''WAA! LOOK DOWN BASTARD RIDER GUY''
The two back away quickly as Glaive comes at them until the Imagin drops on top of him. The two watch stun as something lands beside them. They turn and it is someone on a motorcycle, sighing of relief uttering out. ''Oof, close land crash Momotaros.''
''LIKE HELL IT WAS!'' Momotaros yells furiously as he gets off on top of the Dark Rider. The Imagin looks around and sees him on the ground. The peach Taros chuckles cocky, picking up Glaive and tells him like a badass. ''Today is your unfortunate day because we'll be your opponent, bastard!''
Glaive groans as Momotaros doesn't follow and throws the dark rider onto a wall. Dragonic sweat drops by that idiot. Tsukasa though eyes the stranger removing his helmet, revealing his shoulder length black hair and sighs until he blinks eyeing Tsukasa.
''S-sorry, we haven't met yet Tsukasa-san.'' He apologies softly, introducing himself with a bow. ''I'm Ryotaro Nogami. Thank you for helping the Taros.''
Tsukasa startles fully aware who he is, saying it. ''Then you're Den-O.''
''I am, haha.'' He expresses laughing a bit nervous, for the first time in a while to be referred to as said Rider. Ryotaro gets off his bike and asks Momotaros. ''Ready Momotaros?''
The red Imagin chuckles and responds with a fist bump swing. ''You betcha partner!''
Ryotaro nods, walking forward as he has on the Den-O Belt around his waist.
''Wait.'' Ryotaro pauses, turning to look at Tsukasa who questions him, already annoyed by what is going on. ''Why are you, the real Riders, trying to help me but also try to stop me?''
Ryotaro blinks once more before uttering out just as puzzled. ''You don't know?''
Tsukasa raises an eyebrow, asking. ''Know what-''
Immediately Dragonic whips Tsukasa by the head with his tail who gasps in agony. Ryotaro blinks awkwardly as the dragon tells him seriously with claws on his hips. ''Tsukasa-kun, we have our own time schedule! Mayu-chan, remember!''
Tsukasa rubs the back of his head in agony and nods. Ryotaro oddly smiles, able to tell they like each other like himself and the Taros.
''I will try to tell you another time.'' He says, going to respect that they need to go though he adds firmly about it. ''But I don't think you're a bad person Tsukasa-san. If you were, I wouldn't have gotten my friends again.''
Tsukasa just scoffs though smiles. Momotaros, stomping his foot bored, watches Glaive get back up angrily. Seeing enough, the Imagin thrust himself into Ryotaro's body. His hair spikes up slightly with a single red streak and he gains more muscular definition and the physical strength to go with it as his clothes turn black with red shirt.
''Enough chit-chat! Beat it, passing guy.'' M-Ryotaro shouts seriously, pulling out the Rider Pass.
''It's-'' Tsukasa is about to correct him but stops himself, knowing he'll just forget and just tells him instead. ''Have fun.''
M-Ryotaro smirks as he announces swiping the Rider Pass over his belt. ''Oh I will! Henshin!''
''SWORD FORM!'' The Den-O Belt announces as M-Ryotaro transforms into Den-O Sword Form. Taking on his signature pose, Den-O declares energetic. ''Ore Sanjou!''
Glaive comes charging at him furious with a swing but Den-O dodges the attack before coming at him with strong heavy punches.
''Let's go.'' Den-O proclaims confidently, holding the transformed DenGasher sword form as he swings it, clashing blades against the Dark Rider. Both were seemingly evenly matched but then Den-O goes even aggressive, slashing harder and faster that he manages to slash Glaive across the chest, sparks flying out.
''You're going down asshole!'' Den-O announces slamming a strong wind-up punch across his head, slamming Glaive backwards. Den-O chuckles pulling out the Rider Pass and swipes it over the center of his belt.
''FULL CHARGE!'' The Den-O Belt announces as Den-O charges forwards and he shouts, swinging a roundhouse kick while his right leg is engulfed in red energy. ''MY FINISHING RIDER KICK ATTACK!''
Glaive watches too stunned as Den-O kicks right through him. The dark rider lets out a scream and explodes on impact. Den-O wipes his hand chuckling as he declares proudly. ''Hehe, easy win!''
Tsukasa smirks as he runs off with Dragonic following right behind her, both heading towards ZECT Headquarters.
The situation went bad for A.R. Kabuto tried to save Mayu but the anti-Clock Up device negated his power to Clock Up and then was de-transformed. Captured, the fake Soji, the Worm leader, taunts the defeated real Soji about how he failed to save his sister and how he basically replaced her with a Worm.
''Now you will disappear, Kabuto.'' He tells him sinister, planning to end his life and then rule this world.
''You're the one who will disappear.'' A voice speaks up, alarming him. They turn as they soon hear footsteps. They watch as a figure is seen through the top doorway, getting closer and closer. There, a single white dove bird flies out of the open, bright lighted door and walks slowly but like a badass, Tsukasa Kadoya.
Tsukasa looks down at the numerous Worms, expecting more. He turns his head to Dragonic flying next to him and just glares at him at the white dove part. The dragon blinks as he explains. ''What? Mission Impossible 2.''
''… It needed the flames.'' Tsukasa says wanting it flashier. Dragonic grins admitting it did. The dragon then looks down at the fake Soji and tells him just as seriously. ''Like Tsukasa said, don't be deceived by appearance. That Soji isn't him but a Worm taking his appearance.''
Mayu admits broken down that she's a Worm too, mimicking the real Mayu who died long ago. She sobs that she's no different to him.
''Just a Worm huh?'' Tsukasa utters out, reminded of Sayu and immediately begins to say it as a speech. ''There is only one person in this world, even if everyone in the world was an enemy, there is a place where one's family is waiting one's return.''
Mayu staggers as Tsukasa walks down from the stairs, continuing his speech. ''And in this world there's only one man, even if everyone in the world was an enemy, he will fight for his family.''
The fake Soji starts laughing at such ridiculous crap. Tsukasa, however, as he gazes with an icy cold look, correcting him. ''Weak huh? I only see one person who's weak and it's the one mimicking a greater man.''
This enrages the Worm as Tsukasa lands on the main floor with Dragonic beside him.
''And that great man chose loneliness to protect everyone. This man is stronger than all others!'' Tsukasa declares pointing at Soji, the man who would protect his sister from the shadows even if his sister assumed he was the killer of her brother.
''Like my partner said, you have his face… but can never compare to the original's passionate soul. You're just a worm, less than a worm even.'' Dragonic then adds gazing just as coldly at the fake Soji, a weak imitator to a greater being.
The fake Soji, gritting his teeth, begins proclaiming that Clock Up is useless and the world is his now, laughing as he transforms into his Worm form.
''Really?'' Tsukasa, however, protests as he threatens him firmly. ''I destroy everything. And that includes your mad delusional world.''
This snaps the fake Soji, having heard enough of this nobody.
''You bastard! Just who are you?!'' He demands furious. Tsukasa glares, raising his right hand forward and pulls out the Decade card out of thin air, holding it forward with just his index and middle finger. This shocks the human form Worm as Tsukasa tells him firmly. ''Just a passing-through Kamen Rider. Remember that!''
''… Get rid of him!'' Literally sweating, the fake Soji orders the Worms to attack. The monsters run up at Tsukasa with Clock Up speed until they're instantly smack backwards by Dragonic's whipping tail.
Dragonic roars letting out fiery flames from his mouth, burning the monsters into ashes.
The Fake Soji tries to do something until Tsukasa walks up to him calmly. He just panics, yelling and swinging a punch at him only for Tsukasa to easily dodge it and thrusts his own fist onto his face, knocking him hard backwards.
Tsukasa reaches Mayu to pull her up but she resists, expressing he doesn't need to do this as she's still a monster. However, Tsukasa protests as he reminds her. ''Wherever you are, it's a place you need to be. That's why your brother allowed himself to be a framed as the wanted Kabuto, to protect his little sister.''
She staggers, eyeing Soji being freed by Dragonic.
''Nii-san…'' She utters out, still sobbing. She was a fool to blame it on Kabuto and a fool to believe the one that pretended to be her brother yet… she's pretending to be someone else who was dead.
Soji frowns approaching her and admits his mistake to not tell her anything before
''Mayu, sorry for what you witnessed.'' He expresses apologizing for his mistake. Mayu just sobs, shaking her head and utters out of sadness. ''Nii-san, you were always there for me? Why? I am-''
Immediately her words are stopped as Soji is gripping softly on her hands. She looks up at him as she says smiling. ''You're my little sister; I can never see you as anything else.''
Mayu blushes softly, still sobbing as she hugs him.
Tsukasa looks down at the two, reminding him of himself and Sayu. He turns to see the fake Soji getting up angrily. Soji sees this pulling himself and Mayu up and asks her. ''Leave here Mayu, I have to settle this.''
''… Come back home, Nii-san.'' She asks him. Soji eyes her and nods. Mayu smiles a bit and runs off in a hurry.
Fully up, the fake Soji gazes at the real one with such anger as his body starts cracking.
''Damn you…'' He utters out at first before exploding out of fury. ''DAMN YOU!''
He lets out a shriek so loud he transforms into his true Worm form.
Tsukasa scoffs at this literal monster and plans to squat him. He eyes Soji and tells him firmly. ''Let's beat him, Soji.''
Soji eyes this stranger but nods, trusting him as his sister would. Flying into his hand is the Kabuto Zecter, ready to be used. Tsukasa gazes at the sinister transformed Worm and smirks holding up the Decade card again. This time, they finish this.
''Henshin!'' Both shout as Tsukasa slides the card into the Decadriver while Soji slides the Kabuto Zecter around the silver belt around his waist.
''KAMEN RIDE! DECADE!'' The Decadriver proclaims as Tsukasa transforms into Decade.
''HENSHIN!'' The Kabuto Zecter announces as Soji transforms into Kabuto armored Masked Rider form. He immediately declares gripping and pulling down on the horn part of his Zecter. ''Cast Off!''
''CAST OFF!'' Kabuto Zecter declares as he pulls on the other side. The armor pieces fly off, striking and destroying the remaining Worms while he transforms into full Kabuto. ''CHANGE BEETLE!''
''KABUTO!'' The villainous Worm shouts furiously charging at him but Decade intercepts with his Ride Booker's sword form. Kabuto assists with his kunai weapon while Decade slides a card into his belt.
''ATTACK RIDE!'' The Decadriver announces as Decade glows and duplicates into 4 identical versions of himself. ''ILLUSION!''
The five Decades come at the Worm who easily destroys the copies with his superior speed. But as he reaches the real Decade, he dunks a card into his belt.
''ATTACK RIDE!'' The Decadriver announces as he turns invisible. ''INVISIBLE!''
This staggers the Worm as the invisible Decade delivers unseen punches and kicks as Kabuto slashes the monster and slams back hard. The Worm just chuckles evilly brushing off the damages as Decade becomes visible standing beside Kabuto.
''It changes nothing! Without Clock Up-'' The Worm taunts both riders only for Kabuto to protest determinedly. ''Even without it, I will protect my family and my world!''
The Ride Booker shines and shoots out 3 cards that Decade catches, revealing to be the fully restored Kabuto cards.
''Agreed.'' Decade states holding up the key to their victory as he thrusts the card into his belt.
''FINAL FORM RIDE!'' The Decadriver announces as Decade pushes its handles. He then walks back facing Kabuto's back and warns him carefree. ''This might tickle a bit.''
''Huh?'' Kabuto just utters but it is too late as Decade slaps his hand onto his back and it immediately transforms the rider into a giant version of the Zecter Kabuto Beetle. ''ZECTER KABUTO!''
This shocks the Worm as the massive Zecter flies right at it, slamming itself so hard it literally breaks through the wall and sends the Worm flying on top of the rooftop where his larger anti Clock-Up tower is present. He breathes heavily as the Zecter flies at him with such speed but he dodges by flying around it.
''DAMN YOU ALL! US WORMS WILL RULE THIS WORLD!'' He declares blasting a shot at the thing but the giant Kabuto Zecter penetrates into the ground, burrowing underground to dodge the attack.
The Worm pants as Decade stands behind him, declaring. ''As long as this family is here, that will never happen!''
The Worm turns furious and tries to attack him but the Zecter shoots back from the ground and takes Decade into the sky.
''And the first and the best victory is conquer self!'' Decade declares as he leaps upward and dunks a card into his belt, pushing its handles.
''FINAL ATTACK RIDE!'' The Decadriver announces as the Zecter flies downward and literally flies through the Worm. Sparks fly out as he gasps as the Zecter reverts back to Kabuto, standing with his back facing him as electricity courses through him.
Decade then descends downward, coming at the Worm with a flying Rider Kick as Kabuto does a 180° degree roundhouse Rider Kick at his back. Both kicks connect and the Worm explodes screaming. ''KABUTO!''
The double Rider kick obliterated the Worm into nothing but flames through the explosion. Both Riders stood on the other's back, having come out the victor. Decade wipes his hands reverting back as did Kabuto.
''That's that.'' Tsukasa states as the tower is destroyed and now this world's riders can use Clock Up again. However, Soji feels strange as his body begins to vibrate. He frowns fearing as much since he's been in Clock Up for too long.
''Sorry, it seems being in Clock Up has left me in this state. I must remain in Clock Up until the effects wear-'' He tries to explain it to Tsukasa but then suddenly feels a tap. Just then the vibrating stops, his body normal again. He blinks more as Dragonic is the one who taps on him floating beside him.
''Done.'' The dragon states carefree. Soji is left confused trying to ask. ''What did you-''
''I'm Immortal; I've learned stuff both out of life and death. This was child's game.'' Dragonic simply tells him, smirking. Tsukasa smirks back as he tells Soji using Zen term. ''Soji, treat every moment as your last. It is not preparation for something else.''
Soji startles slightly. Tsukasa looks down to see Mayu looking around for them, but most of all her brother.
''Mayu is waiting for her brother.'' Tsukasa reminds him. Soji didn't say a word, simply nodding. He bows and runs off.
Tsukasa and Dragonic follow him downstairs and there see Soji finding Mayu who runs up to him and hugs him. From afar, Tsukasa watches as the siblings are reunited. He smiles a bit, taking a photo of both… and imagining himself with Sayu.
Dragonic notices the expression on his face and smiles telling him. ''Tsukasa, time to go.''
Tsukasa nods, flapping the photo he took and he heads back to Hikari Studio.
Natsumi smiles that Tsukasa and Dragonic manage to reunite the siblings together. Yusuke felt the same as Tsukasa studies the 8 Rider Cards he now possesses.
''8 worlds we've been in. Then…'' He begins to say in a somber tone, knowing only1 more world remains but before he could tell the others, Daiki storms in and points his finger at Tsukasa calling him out. ''Tsukasa-san, I'm letting you leave this world until I get my treasure!''
Natsumi sweat drops wondering how he's getting inside. She locked the door and all. Tsukasa stares up at the thief, noticing the bandages around his right arm likely the injury he took trying to capture Kabuto. He gets up, swiping something and tosses it to him. ''Catch!''
Kaito catches whatever was tossed at him. He looks at it in his hand and stares puzzled at the salt shaker he's holding.
''This is pepper?'' Daiki tells him but Tsukasa corrects him using his charm and actor-like voice. ''It is the greatest pepper of this world, so precious, so LEGENDARY that the Kabuto of this world gave it to me. He said it is more valuable than Clock Up.''
Daiki just stares with such astonishment in his eyes, looking at the shaker.
''You sure?'' Kaito asks, almost wanting it. Tsukasa pauses before pointing his finger at him dramatically, telling him as did Dragonic mimicking him. ''Take it with you!''
Daiki eyes the shaker, oddly fascinated before giving a firm face and walks away. The group watches him leave.
''Legendary? Isn't that pepper-'' Natsumi begins questioning pretty sure that's one of her pepper shakers but Yusuke ''Sshhhs'' her, getting the message of what Tsukasa is doing.
''Yes!'' Daiki utters softly, getting really excited as he leaves the house. Dragonic sighs, holding up his left claw in a fist and praises Tsukasa's lie. ''Nice one.''
Tsukasa eyes his hand and smirks, giving him a fist pump. The dragon grins, his tail wagging.
''Last world, Dragonic. Take us there.'' Tsukasa orders him still smirking. Dragonic obliges though he does correct him slightly as he flies to the rope in the main hall of the house. ''I wouldn't say the last world but it is the last world to give you the full power of Decade.''
''Regardless, this is where my journey reaches its climax.'' Tsukasa points out, determined to keep his promise for Natsumi to save her world. Tapping his fedora hat downward, Dragonic forms a smirk grabbing on the rope to the backdrop.
''Let us go then!'' He declares pulling down on the rope. The house starts shaking, teleporting to the next and likely second to last final world…
However as they left, the sky in the World of Kabuto cracks entirely as the world is seemingly about to be destroyed by the empty black void.
Author's Note: Time to clarify things:
1) You know the cue; this chapter is based on the 2 part Kabuto episode of Decade with changes of course.
2) And here's our rider representative for Den-O, Ryotaro Nogami. Eh, nothing much to say, Ryotaro just reminds me of Yugi Muto(u) and I like him a lot! Kind people have the greatest potential, especially those who used to lack the courage to fight on their own.
Now ladies and gentlemen, next time we Beat a note into the World of Hibiki and the last canon AR. World from the TV series. Afterwards… well… you will find out.
