Disclaimer: This story is a Side Story to Yu-Gi-Oh! Dragon Knight Reborn! I do not own Kamen Rider Decade or any Kamen Rider Series. Characters may be SLIGHTLY OOC due to the story and events. I do own an OC in this story but I will not say who yet.

Chapter 13: The Rider War: Prologue
Every story has a beginning. So there is also a start, a setting, a home.
The Hikari Studio arrives upon the seemingly last world, the World of Decade. Stepping out from the house, Tsukasa emerges with no changes to his current clothes, confirming this is his home. The others come out with Natsumi looking around, seeing the world they've arrived in. It felt rather peaceful. Was this really Tsukasa's home?
''So this is Tsukasa's world.'' Yusuke utters out surprised, expecting something else. Humming as he looks around, Tsukasa holds his camera and wonders.
''I wonder…'' He says as he turns to Yusuke. He smiles smug as he takes aim with his camera, telling him. ''Yusuke, cheese!''
Yusuke is about to protest but the flash catches him off guard, rubbing his eyes from the blinding light. Tsukasa scoffs with a small smirk at him as the picture comes out. He waves on it before looking at it and stuns him. He hands it to Natsumi who looks at it with such surprise.
''The picture…'' She begins to say as she still stares down at the flawless, perfect photo Tsukasa just took. ''It looks amazing!''
Yusuke staggers looking at the photo and just drops his jaw. Dragonic examines it and nods, smiling with Absol also surprised.
''Wait-wait, you can't take good photos unless you're in your world?'' Yusuke theorizes as he looks at Tsukasa who just shrugs his shoulders. He answers with a smug smirk. ''One of my many flaws. Who knew?''
Still this confirmed to him that his mastery as a photographer is limited to being in his world. Shame.
Thinking about it for another reason, Tsukasa pulls off his camera and orders Yusuke. ''Yusuke, take a picture of me, Natsumi and Dragonic.''
Yusuke blinks as Tsukasa shoves his camera in his hands before warning him. ''Don't break it.''
Gulping, Yusuke nods as Tsukasa drags Natsumi and Dragonic into view. He eyes Absol and sighs adding. ''And the mutt too.''
''Absol?'' Absol barks not following so Tsukasa tells her directly. ''You heard me. You too.''
Absol still blinks but nods walking up to join the group. Natsumi blushes happily, always wanting to take a family picture with them. She wonders if this is Tsukasa's apology for all the trouble he asked… or-
''Take a good photo, no bad angles.'' Natsumi snaps out to hear Tsukasa's orders at Yusuke who nervously tries to take the perfect position. ''This good?''
Tsukasa makes a look like ''Take the damn picture already'' face. Yusuke sighs, taking the shot. The photo comes out as he shakes on it and asks, handing the photo to Tsukasa. ''Good?''
Tsukasa hums observing it and just states handing it to Natsumi's possession and taking back his camera from Yusuke's hands. ''Decent.''
Natsumi smiles liking the photo as she grabs on Tsuaksa's arm. He raises an eyebrow turning to see her and she asks smiling. ''Just a photo with just you and me. Please?''
Sighing unable to deny her smile, Tsukasa nods. Still holding his camera as he stares at Yusuke, Tsukasa instead hands the camera to Dragonic who grins accepting it. The dragon floats over Yusuke's head, taking aim as Tsukasa and Natsumi pose for the photo and he takes the photo. It comes out as Dragonic shakes on it and hands both it and his camera to Tsukasa.
Tsukasa, putting his camera around his neck, eyes the photo and smirks, handing it to Natsumi who takes it happily.
''How about a picture of me, Tsukasa-san?'' Tsukasa staggers, turning to see Kaito walking out from behind a camera. Yusuke is startled as to why he was here while Natsumi is fixated on the photo.
''…'' Silent but smirking a bit, Tsukasa aims his camera one handed in a precise angle and takes the shot of his so-called rival. Kaito smirks before the flash hits his eyes and the photo comes out. Tsukasa shakes it and smirks, tossing it to Kaito who catches it.
''You look like a decent human being for once, Kaito.'' Tsukasa tells him, actually praising him somewhat. He then asks firmly. ''What are you up to doing here?''
''Nothing much. You?'' Kaito responds now asking back with a smirk. Tsukasa had no comment for him.
''Also.'' Kaito then says pointing upward to the sky. Tsukasa and the group look up and they widen their eyes to see the literal sky breaking apart, showing the images of the upside down cities of many different rider worlds and they were cracking.
Natsumi trembles unease with Dragonic stating. ''Each world is merging within Tsukasa's world. That just means this might be the last world holding up before destruction.''
Gazing at the sky ripping apart, Tsukasa knew he had to stop this destruction, spotting Natsumi's world within the sky too. He turns towards the dragon and asks him. ''Dragonic, where's Narutaki?''
Dragonic hums, picking up Narutaki's aura and informs him. ''I can sense where he is. I can show you the way.''
Tsukasa nods but he then says. ''I need to do something first.''
He walks and mounts on the Decader Machine. Putting on his helmet, he tells the group mainly Natsumi watching him worrying as he salutes. ''Be back soon.''
He rides off on his bike at top speed. Natsumi watches him leave, worrying where he's heading off.
''OH!'' Dragonic utters out remembering a thing as he pulls off his fedora, revealing his slightly arched twin horns. He pulls something out of his hat before neatly putting it back on top of his head.
''Here Natsumi-chan!'' The dragon says handing over something smooth to her. Natsumi blinks, eyeing the strange bracelet with an almost rainbow pattern stone with the same DNA-like symbol inside of it in her palm.
''Wear it, just in case things become messy.'' Dragonic insists. Natsumi nods while putting it on, giggling at how cute the bracelet is. She eyes Absol whining concern. Natsumi smiles petting the white furred mon and eases her worries. ''Don't worry Absol, everything will be normal. I know Tsukasa-kun won't let us down.''
Absol oddly looks down, looking towards Kaito who walks away but not before gazing back at the mon.
Tsukasa rides on his motorcycle and arrives at the closed mansion. Stopping in front of the gate, he pulls out a key and opens it up. He rides inside the gate, arriving at the closed mansion.
Mounting off from his bike, he walks up to the closed home as he eyes the dirt on the sign. Tsukasa approaches the sign and touches it, wiping off the dirt on it. The sign shows the surname ''Kadoya'' on it.
''…'' Silent with his hands in his pockets, Tsukasa looks up at his former home. He left this place behind not long ago but to him it feels more like he left years ago.
Ironic… he's really pathetic that he came back to this place. He never wanted to return here, to this world but like the dragon would put it best: Fate is cruel.
He has no choice anyway… and sadly that was the truth on what Tsukasa must do to save the other worlds.
Turning his back from his house, Tsukasa simply says saluting it off. ''Sayonara.''
He mounts back on his bike and rides off back to Hikari Studio, knowing he wouldn't return to this world… or get to see his old home again.
Tsukasa arrives back to see Yusuke waiting on his bike as well as Absol and Dragonic also waiting. He sees each of them except for one.
''Where's Natsumikan?'' He asks with Yusuke eyeing back at the Hikari Studio. Tsukasa scoffs, wondering if she's doing the whole ''I need 5 minutes but it's really 2 hours'' dressing up.
Natsumi, however, was actually pulling out a small box in her closet. She kept it hidden so no one ever tries to steal or take it. Opening the box, she reaches and pulls a single item out. What she was holding was another device her grandfather worked on that would only be used by Decade. He called it the K-Touch, and yet, it's not working. She tries pressing the green button and nothing.
Natsumi sighs expecting something to happen since Tsukasa was able to get the Decadriver into working.
''I would have thought this would have fully worked on its own after Tsukasa-kun became Decade.'' She tells herself mentally that the device would work. She recalled how her grandfather told her something like that this thing will make Decade complete? Complete what?
''Still…'' She asks, puzzled if this could help Tsukasa. Deciding that it could come in handy, Natsumi puts the device inside her purse as she rushes outside. There she sees Tsukasa and the others waiting for her.
''Took your time, Natsumikan.'' Tsukasa calls her out, tossing her helmet. Natsumi catches it and slides it on, responding hesitantly. ''I was just getting a thing!''
She runs and hops on Tsukasa's bike, wrapping her arms around his chest.
''Let's go!'' Natsumi declares, smiling. Dragonic smirks taking flight. Tsukasa scoffs with a small smirk as he rides off with Yusuke riding right behind him and Absol running after them. The group follows the dragon to where Narutaki is and where their last battle will be.
In some rocky-like empty mountainside in the outskirts of the city they were in, Tsukasa and group arrive in the middle of nowhere. Dragonic lands on Tsukasa's head still wearing his helmet, informing him. ''This is it. This is where I can sense Narutaki.''
''Here of all places huh?'' Yusuke asks, looking around, finding this really suspicious. Tsukasa pulls off his helmet that Dragonic hovers over him to scan the place. He mounts off his bike to look around and yea, he found this place pretty anticlimactic for a final showdown.
Natsumi, however, slowly widens her eyes looking around the large plain rock-like field with mountains partly surrounding them. This place, no doubt, was the place in her dream, her visions of-
Immediately Natsumi pleads to Tsukasa in a panic. ''Tsukasa-kun, let's go back!''
This causes Tsukasa to raise an eyebrow, questionable.
''We have to stop Narutaki. If we don't then-'' Yusuke tries reasoning with him but Natsumi immediately shouts in protest. ''I DON'T CARE!''
Yusuke staggers heavily by this as does Absol. Tsukasa watches her calmly as did Dragonic hovering beside him.
''Natsumikan, say it.'' Tsukasa asks her, wanting to know what is making her scared. Gulping that she might not have a choice but to tell him, Natsumi tries to calm down and utters out. ''I-I have to tell you something!''
Tsukasa eyes her as he and the others listen to the dream that Natsumi has been having for a while now; in fact a few weeks after Tsukasa entered her life.
''A dream?'' Yusuke utters, surprised. Tsukasa doesn't say a word as Natsumi begins to explain what she saw. ''My dream of the Kamen Riders killed and destroyed… by you, Tsukasa-kun.''
That actually shocks Tsukasa before he forms a smirk. He looks around. Anticlimactic is turning into a climactic final battle now.
''So this is where I will truly become the Destroyer of Worlds.'' He says praising this place, chuckling a bit of this irony. Natsumi sees him not following what's so funny about all of this. Silent for a moment, Tsukasa turns facing her and finally declares. ''… I'll do it.''
Natsumi is left stunned while Yusuke is speechless.
''You can't!'' She protests loudly, not wanting him to do it; not wanting Tsukasa to go through becoming this demon, becoming the Decade that would destroy all worlds and all riders. She didn't want to lose him.
''You don't have to do that, you can walk away and-'' She pleads to him not wanting him to go through with it but Tsukasa immediately protests and tells her as honest as he's ever been before. ''Natsumi, I can't escape fate.''
Natsumi startles as Tsukasa further says looking humble and firm. ''I must simply use what power I have and change the outcome. I have no choice.''
''… And if you don't.'' Natsumi then questions him, sadden, feeling like if he can't then all they've done would be pointless. ''If our journey was all for nothing?''
Tsukasa stares at her eyes and scoffs. He reaches to his neck and pulls off his camera dangling from his neck. He walks up to Natsumi and places the neck strap of his camera onto Natsumi's back neck. He smirks letting it fall gently on her chest.
''W-why did you-'' Natsumi tries uttering, surprised by this but Tsukasa simply tells her rubbing the top of her head. ''To hold it for me. I want you to believe in me so until I keep my promise that I will change that dream, hold onto my camera.''
Natsumi is silent, not sure how to feel but her heart was beating loudly. She felt… happy.
''Tsukasa-kun.'' She mutters gripping on his camera with such care, wanting to believe in him. Pulling out from his vest, Tsukasa gives Natsumi all of the photos he's taken to every world he went to, including the ones he just took when they arrived here.
''I won't fail you, Natsumikan.'' He vows to her, not going to let her down. If he doesn't, then-
''Absol!'' Tsukasa stops thinking as Absol barks growling towards the sky. He looks up along with the others, watching as the DenLiner emerges out of thin air and twirls descending. The flying train touches the ground before ramming through time and vanishes. As the train leaves, Tsukasa looks at where it touched the ground and there, he sees all the 9 original Heisei riders in their human appearances.
Scoffing with a small smirk, Tsukasa stares down at the 9 riders expecting he would meet all of them at once. He's been prepping ever since meeting Hibiki, having learned all about the 9 riders and more than confident he's ready for them.
''I feel honor you all showed up before me.'' Tsukasa states cocky and carefree before he adds with a much more firm voice. ''Is this where you all try to gang up on me and kill me?''
Wataru frowns and nods. Natsumi immediately panics as her greatest nightmare is actually coming true.
''No hard feelings, Kadoya, but we have already made up our mind about it.'' Tendo tells him, sounding almost upset about it.
Tsukasa wasn't upset by this, already having come to terms since Narutaki revealed the truth.
''Wait please!'' Protesting, Natsumi runs up and stands in front protecting Tsukasa. She wasn't going to let that nightmare ever happen, pleading with them. ''Please, all of this isn't Tsukasa-kun's fault! It was Narutaki! He's been using Tsukasa-kun to achieve his plans.''
''… We're aware.'' Shinji, sadden, utters out. This shocks most of the group except Tsukasa and Dragonic.
''Then why?!'' Natsumi questions them, not understanding any of this.
''It's because Tsukasa is the one that commenced all of this.'' Kenzaki informs the group as he further adds. ''If we stopped Narutaki, it would not stop the destruction of the A.R. Worlds. In fact…''
It soon hit Natsumi, widening her eyes horrified while Tsukasa and Dragonic knew this would be the case.
''No…'' Yusuke mutters out not believing this cruelty.
''That's why we must stop it and make sure what remains of those worlds still exists.'' Shoichi expresses not wanting to lose Mana or the friends in his world or the other Riders' loved ones.
''We tried to fix this, used the DenLiner to stop this but Tsukasa-kun's power is just above any of our efforts.'' Ryotaro tells them of their attempts to stop the destruction but none work. At least Tsukasa now confirmed how they were able to travel between worlds.
''So we debated on what action we had to do and well-'' Hibiki begins to remind the group of the last they met as Takumi adds firm. ''We talked and we had no other options.''
Tsukasa has no words, still staring at them silently.
''We're sorry, Tsukasa-kun, but this is the only way.'' Wataru apologizes not wishing for this to happen but they have no choice.
''…'' Tsukasa did not respond, still gazing at them. He knew very well that this would be the only option. That Narutaki; he set this up as his final attempt to kill Tsukasa.
''We know of all of your struggles you went through and we are grateful for it all.'' Yusuke Godai speaks up as he and the other riders have seen his selfless actions and good deeds as Decade so he offers him a chance. ''We're willing to let you surrender peacefully or-''
''Or I fight you all.'' Tsukasa finally speaks up, interrupting them. Smirking a bit, Tsukasa has a good time to think about his options and only one remains the same.
''I think my answer is clear.'' He begins to proclaim turning towards Natsumi. ''I'll fight for Natsumikan's world.''
Natsumi blushes to hear that. Tsukasa then faces back at the riders before him, remembering their A.R. counterparts and their stories too.
''And to save the A.R. Worlds and every other world, including yours.'' Tsukasa then adds, not forgetting the worlds that he vowed to protect but also his own duties too. ''Even if I must become your enemy, I will do it with no regrets!''
The other riders eye him with most like Tendo expecting this response.
''Seems we both have something in common, Tsukasa-san.'' Walking up beside Tsukasa is Kaito, twirling his Diendriver. Tsukasa narrows partly towards him, still suspicious about his reasons.
''You're actually going to help me Kaito?'' He questions him not buying that he's doing this because they're friends or something. Kaito smirks, not surprised he can see through him and tells him. ''In this world I have a treasure I want to protect.''
Kaito gazes at the 9 riders before them and declares proudly. ''I'm willing to become everyone's enemy too.''
Tsukasa scoffs at this but he isn't going to deny his help. Yusuke watches the two, knowing well he can never be like them but he wants to try too. He walks up, joining them declaring. ''I'm helping you too Tsukasa!''
Tsukasa turns towards him and can tell he doesn't want to commit.
''I know it's wrong but…'' Yusuke begins to say upset that they're literally facing riders just like themselves but after everything they went through, he couldn't deny not wanting to help him. ''I won't let you fight them alone because we're friends!''
Tsukasa stares at him and smirks.
''Absol!'' Tsukasa now turns to see Absol joining them too. He scoffs smiling as he asks her. ''You too huh mutt?''
Absol nods firmly about her choice. Natsumi blushes, surprised they've made many friends willing to help Tsukasa even when he never asked for their help. She smiles, thinking now that her dream could be changed.
''So this is your decision?'' The original Yusuke asks Tsukasa who smirks, pulling out the Decadriver.
''I know who I am.'' Tsukasa responds by strapping on the Decadriver around his waist as the Ride Booker manifests on his left waist side.
Tsukasa does his signature finger pointing pose, announcing with a smug smirk. ''I'm Tsukasa Kadoya, Kamen Rider Decade: the Destroyer of Worlds!''
Tsukasa then opens up the Ride Booker and pulls out a card. He holds forward the Decade card upon all the riders, proudly declaring. ''I will save Natsumikan's world even if I must destroy you all!''
''Tsukasa-kun…'' Natsumi mutters happily that Tsukasa cares this much but she doesn't want to go through all of this, to keep being this destroyer. Tsukasa is a good person, not this.
She turns towards the purple dragon hovering next to her. She's seen Dragonic fight and he can likely stop all of this.
''Dragonic-'' Natsumi begins to say until she's interrupted by the dragon saying. ''I know what you want to ask me but this is Tsukasa's fight. He needs to do this with his own power.''
Natsumi looks sad. Dragonic frowns a bit, wanting to help but this isn't his world and… he knows better than get in the way of a fight Tsukasa and the others have more investment to win. He has no right to take that away from them. Besides, this was a Rider War, sort of.
Yusuke Godai stares at Tsukasa and just smiles, not surprised by his decision. He then becomes serious and immediately takes on a fighting pose as did Shoichi.
Takumi straps on the Faiz Gear and opens up its phone, dialing 5, 3 times. Kenzaki straps the Blay Buckle wrapping around his waist. Hibiki pulls out his Onsa while the Kabuto Zecter flies down and Tendo catches it as his belt manifests.
Ryotaro breathes holding the Rider Pass as Momotaros possesses him as the Den-O belt manifests around his waist. Kivat flaps as Wataru catches it as the Kiva belt manifests around his waist.
Shinji looks around worrying not seeing a reflection of anything to summon the Advent belt. Tsukasa rolls his eyes waving his left hand and an Aurora Curtain manifests, flying over them and shooting out broken down cars, trucks or bikes with still existing glass reflecting.
''Oh thanks!'' Shinji expresses smiling as he holds up the Advent Box to a reflection as the belt manifests around his waist.
Tsukasa eyes Kaito who nods back. Tsukasa taps his Decade card twice on the edge before both he and Kaito slide their rider cards into their drivers.
''HENSHIN!''
Author's Note: Time to clarify things:
1) The climax is a sort of World of Merging but having it all happen within the World of Decade. Plus a final nice moment with our group, all together.
2) A twist of the Rider War as each main protagonist rider is themselves but having made up their mind that the only way to stop the merging and destruction of their worlds is to defeat and destroy Decade. Thus the battle between Decade's team versus the other Riders began. Plus in this one the stakes are huge and the moment Tsukasa and Natsumi had, promising her to change the dream which she revealed.
Short chapter but obvious.
