Resurrected memories

Authors note. Hi, this is my first fanfic so I hope you like it. I love Dazai and kinda wanted to make the story more about him. It is slightly AU cause I changed Dazais powers a bit to fit with the story. There will be regualr updates and please leave any reviews.

And I don't think I need to say that Bungou Stray Dogs is not mine!

"Sakunosuke Oda?"

"Yes, that is his name. Dead about four years by now."

"And why exactly do you wish for me to resurrect him? Is he an old friend of yours?"

"Well" a smooth voice replied "I cannot say that he is my friend. I simply wish to reunite him with an… acquaintance of mine"

The other man raised an eyebrow at this. One would not really go that far for someone they considered to be just an acquaintance. But, who was he to question why he wanted to resurrect this man. He often had people coming to him, begging him to resurrect an old loved one, or someone they wished to have revenge on, by now he felt he had seen it all.

"And you said you wished for him to be under your control?"

"Yes, that is right"

"Very well" the man stood to the side, the gems from the wall illuminating his face in red. "One final question. You wouldn't happen to be… Tatsuhiko Shibusawa would you?"

Many stories had spread about what had happened the night that everything had plunged into darkness. He had found himself being forced to fight his own power that had somehow manifested in front of him. Word got around that it was because of the Armed Detective Agency that everything had returned back to normal. And he was not a fool enough to not be able to recognize the room that he was currently in. The hundreds, possibly thousands, of gemstones on the wall were proof enough that he was where Tatsuhiko Shibusawa stored the gifts he stole from others.

"No no, I most certainly am not that man. I am merely using this place for its convenience. There is no need to fear, I have no intention of stealing your gift."

The man spoke with an elegance about him that automatically made you feel inferior. He was foreign, that was for sure, though he couldn't quite place where. But he wore a sly smirk on his face, as if he knew everything that was destined to happen and when it would happen. As if he already had everything planned out.

"Very well" He repeated, "Find me the body of the one you wish to resurrect, and I will grant you your wish."

"Ah, there is no need to worry. I have the body right over here."

He turned the corner and there it was. The corpse of one Sakunosuke Oda. He was a middle-aged man in rather unsuspecting clothes. However, what was not as normal, were the bullet holes lodged within his chest. There was dried blood that had soaked into the once deep brown shirt and beige coat. Staining them to forever show how the man's life had ended. Due to his gift, he had seen many dead corpses, with multiple causes of death, and while this one at first felt as though it was nothing special, he had a feeling that there was more behind this man's plan than what could be seen on the surface. But he didn't have time to ponder on this now, he had a job to do.

Without another word being uttered, his hand began to glow as he reached over the corpse laid out before him. The body began to glow as the light continued growing brighter and brighter until it got too much and they were forced to look away. As soon as it had begun, the light ceased and faded away. Leaving the body still lying there, motionless. But then, there was a rise and fall of his chest. Steady breathing soon emerged, but the man still did not wake.

"Give it a day or two, and he will be awake again."

"Thank you, you have no idea how much this means to me."

There were hints of sarcasm dripping from the mans voice. As if this was all an act, and he was being played for a fool. But he grunted in response, and began heading towards the door.

"Now just a minute."

He stopped dead in his tracks, and turned towards the man with a questioning glance. He had done his job. He had resurrected the man and was now meant to go on his way. What else was there that he needed to do?

"Must you leave so soon?"

The silky and manipulative voice of the man pierced his ears. Why else was he needed here? He had resurrected the body and was now ready to be on his way. But the man's voice still halted his movements, almost rendering him imoblie

"I wish for you to stay a bit longer. I may have need for your powers of resurrection again in the near future"

"You know how to contact me."

"Yes but I would feel a lot safer if I knew you were going to be by my side, constantly."

"Safer?"

"Yes, you see, I have a game in mind for… this friend of mine… and your assistance would be greatly appreciated. With the proper funding of course."

The man's head was tilted, almost as if he was a small puppy asking for help. Playing the innocent act. Well, all that mattered to him was that he got paid, if this man wanted to keep him around a bit longer, who was he to say no. But that didn't mean he wanted to stay there right now. So, while signalling his answer as a yes, he turned to the door to leave. But just as he was about to walk out, a thought struck him.

"I never did get your name?"

"Hmm, my name… is Fyodor Dostoevsky"

The name itself meant nothing to him. Although he felt as though he had heard it from somewhere. But he paid no mind to it now and left through the door from which he had entered, leaving Fyodor to look at the now breathing body of Sakunosuke Oda.

"I am sure Dazai will be thrilled when he sees his old friend is alive again. Now, to see when we should arrange this, happy reunion."

So thats the first chapter! I hope you liked it. Plz review if you have any ideas and just to say what you thought of it. I've almost finished writing the second chapter so it will be published soon.
