Disclaimer: This story is a Side Story to Yu-Gi-Oh! Dragon Knight Reborn! I do not own Kamen Rider Decade or any Kamen Rider Series. Characters may be SLIGHTLY OOC due to the story and events. I do own an OC in this story but I will not say who yet.
This is Chapter 18, the final chapter, of the Decade Side Story for DKR. Please enjoy it like a fan for Kamen Rider and for Dragon Knight Reborn.
Chapter 18 Final: The Completed Journey
Suddenly all of the photos in Natsumi's possession float on their own till they overlap each other. A bright light shines through them as the cards fly and expand, becoming almost like portals similar to the Aurora Curtain. Each photo flies through, showing the brief image of the A.R. Riders that Tsukasa met. Each photo turns into sparks of light but in its place a figure is slowly manifesting out of them. Natsumi slowly widens her eyes as the last photo in her hand flies off of her hands and emerging through it is Tsukasa, smirking pretty okay.
Edaced staggers heavily while Absol smiles astonished.
Adjusting his blazer, Tsukasa eyes the young girl in front of him and answers carefree with a hand wave. ''Yo.''
Silent, Natsumi stares, shaken as Tsukasa smirks and asks her. ''Did you miss me, Natsumikan?''
Not saying anything, Natsumi approaches up to him and finally parts her lips, muttering out mad. ''… Baka.''
Tsukasa raises an eyebrow not following until Natsumi raises her hand and smacks him across the face with a slap. The others sweat drop except Dragonic chuckling.
''BAKA!'' Natsumi yells out madder, smacking him across the chest and face in combination, sobbing but out of joy before she strikes him with the thumb Laughing Pressure Point attack. ''BAKA-BAKA-BAKA!''
Tsukasa laughs uncontrollably, breathing heavily before yelling out still laughing. ''HAHAHAHAHAHA! WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!''
Natsumi stops and rubs her eyes, still sobbing. She didn't mean it but it is just too much for her. She looks at him so sad yet happy, relieved to see him alive. Tsukasa eyes her and could tell she is broken down by what just happened.
He slowly cracks a small smile and says patting her head. ''Sorry if I made you worry, Natsumi.''
Natsumi still sobs, wiping off the tears off her eyes. She relaxes looking at him and can't help but be happy. She removes his camera still dangling on her neck and asks him, returning it back to him. ''Are you… adventurous again searching for your own world?''
Tsukasa stares at his camera she kept safe. He smiles as he answers her, accepting back his prize possession. ''Yeah.''
He puts back his camera around his neck, confirming it once more to her. ''That adventure has become my world.''
Natsumi blushes smiling as Tsukasa smiles back.
''Why…?'' Tsukasa turns to hear Narutaki's voice from the monster he has become. Edaced feels so tense and only grows more and more and more just looking at him. He killed him, he died… SO WHY?! WHY?!
''Why? Why?! WHY? WHY?! WHY?!'' Edaced starts yelling out in protest, not believing this is even happening. He growls mad, releasing bursts of energy that everyone braces for.
''WHY DON'T YOU JUST STAY DEAD ALREADY, DECADE?!'' Edaced yells out insanely, demanding furious at this outrage that he keeps coming back and ruining his life.
Adjusting his thin blazer once more, Tsukasa gazes at the monstrous Narutaki and speaks up in a taunt. ''Why, you ask Narutaki? You tell me.''
Breathing in hisses, Edaced stares at this damn human and answers him coldly. ''Decade doesn't need to have a story! Your journey ends here!''
''There's no journey that really ends.'' Diend, however, protests in a taunting voice.
''Yeah.'' Tsukasa begins to say actually agreeing with Kaito as he starts walking forward. ''I'm going to continue crossing worlds, and continue crossing stories.''
He grabs his camera, smiling a bit that he has a promise to keep towards Sayo. He stares forward and declares proudly. ''That is my journey. That is Decade's, mine, Tsukasa Kadoya's story and it starts here!''
Dragonic then declares with a confident smirk, pointing forward. ''This is the story of the destroyer who saved the Rider Worlds and the hero who will destroy you!''
Edaced snaps furious and lets out a furious shriek that quakes the area around them, even reality by its own voice.
''DECADE!'' He roars angrily before questioning him coldly. ''Who do you think YOU ARE?!''
Tsukasa smirks glad he asked him that. He prepares to say it but then hears a sound. Whistling to get his attention, Tsukasa turns as Dragonic tosses the broken Decadriver towards him. He eyes and quickly catches it as the device glows in his possession. He looks down at it and slowly smirks before lifting it up, showing the fully restored Decadriver to a frustrated Edaced. Tsukasa still smirks, thinking that was Sayo's doing, once more grateful of her.
''A passing-through Kamen Rider.'' Tsukasa answers cocky to the monster as he straps the Decadriver on his front waist as the belt manifests around him along with the Ride Booker. He then points at Narutaki with his signature finger point hand gesture. ''Remember that!''
Edaced growls, releasing surges of energy. Natsumi watches worryingly as Tsukasa tells her, smiling. ''Natsumikan, this won't take a moment.''
Natsumi stares at him and nods, knowing he's the only one who can do anything.
''It changes nothing while-'' Edaced begins to proclaim, about to attack Tsukasa until the Diendriver announces to his alarm. ''FINAL ATTACK RIDE! DIEND!''
The monster turns and as he did, gets blasts through the chest by Diend's energy blast. He gags out, staggering as Diend rushes towards him and shoves his fist into his chest.
''Daiki Kaito, you!'' Edaced utters out but Diend chuckles waiting for this moment as he kicks the monster backwards, gripping on what he took. It is a sphere of energy that soon becomes the 9 Rider Cards he handed over. He turns towards Tsukasa and shoots the cards at him who catches them.
''You can have back your treasures, Tsukasa-san.'' Diend tells him with a slight taunt. Tsukasa eyes his 9 cards and smirks before telling the thief cocky-like. ''This doesn't make us even!''
Diend knows that pretty well, snicker. Natsumi smiles brightly that they can be friends hopefully. Just then she notices a shine from her purse. She opens it and sees it, the K-Touch glowing too. She is startled and realizes this might be what Tsukasa needs now.
Smirking a bit, Tsukasa taps the Decade card twice on its card end as he begins to declare. ''Hen-''
''Tsukasa-kun!'' Tsukasa stops halfway through and turns as Natsumi shouts, tossing something. ''Catch!''
He catches it with ease. Tsukasa holds and stares at a strange rectangle-like, touchscreen-like cell phone of the same size as the Decadriver with similar colored to Decade: black and magenta colored strips with a green light on the right. It has certain symbols with the label ''K-TOUCH'' on the bottom.
''What the heck is this?'' Tsukasa questions her, not familiar with this thing and yet it looks familiar to the Decadriver. Natsumi smiles softly, thinking of her Grandfather making it, as she tells him. ''Grandpa made this too. It was meant for the Decadriver but it wouldn't work, not even when you became Decade but now…''
''The K-Touch! Ah smart thinking Natsumi-chan!'' Dragonic comments as this is THE perfect chance to confirm if Decade truly is completed.
Natsumi giggles with Mega Absol blinking not following. Dragonic eyes Tsukasa and tells him confidently. ''With it, Tsukasa-kun, you earn the right to become Complete.''
Tsukasa raises an eyebrow not completely following until the Ride Booker shoots something out in front of him. He snatches it and looks at it, being a strange new card with the logos of each of the Heisei Riders including his own, almost meant for this device. Now he gets it.
''I get the gist of it now.'' He proclaims about to slide the card in but then pauses, hearing shouts. He looks up and sees Diend getting beaten down by Edaced dashing around with Clock Up before punching the cyan colored rider backwards.
''Daiki-kun!'' Natsumi yells out of concern. Kuuga tries to help him but the monster releases multiple energy spheres, hitting him so hard it reverts him back to Yusuke, dropping on his knees.
''I have already absorbed the powers I wanted from them!'' Edaced proclaims overconfident yet still pissed. He won't tolerate that anyone ruins his mission, his destiny especially by the hands of a thief.
''And you are no longer worth keeping alive, Daiki Kaito!'' Edaced declares facing Diend and holds up his claw, swirling energy into a giant sphere. Diend tries firing at him with the Diendriver but to his shock his attacks are instantly absorbed into the sphere, making it bigger.
''DIE!'' Edaced roars, throwing the massive sphere upon him. Diend quickly slides a Rider Card into his blaster, loading it up.
''ATTACK RIDE! BARRIER!'' The Diendriver announces as Diend is surrounded by his barrier, blocking the sphere. However the attack only expands and begins to consume him with shields all together. This staggers Diend as the barrier starts cracking as well as his suit.
Chuckling, Diend turns towards Tsukasa as part of his helmet mask cracks and opens, showing Daiki's left eye.
''Heh… guess this calls us even, Tsu-'' Kaito begins to express with a snicker before the sphere and explodes, destroy itself and Diend completely. Tsukasa just stands there in silent as Yusuke slams his fist onto the ground.
''N-No…'' Natsumi utters horrified. Absol, reverting out from her Mega form, whines sad, not wanting him to die like that.
''Kaito…'' Tsukasa mutters out softly as he gazes coldly at Edaced laughing at the death of Diend. ''One down. Now join him, Decade.
Snapping in anger, Tsukasa slides the card in his hand inside the card inserter of the K-Touch, activating the device. He quickly drags his index finger across the 10 Rider symbols of their origin.
"KUUGA, AGITO, RYUKI, FAIZ, BLADE, HIBIKI, KABUTO, DEN-O, KIVA!'' The K-Touch, having the same voice as the Decadriver and Diendriver, announces one by one each main rider's names as their logos glow until they all flash, including the Decade one. He presses on the F letter on the screen.
''FINAL KAMEN RIDE!'' The Decadriver announces as Tsukasa removes the Decadriver and swaps it with the K-Touch on the front as he straps the main device on the right side of his waist. All 10 Rider Cards glow as Tsukasa holds up the Decade card, glowing magenta colored, towards this monster. No more deaths.
''Let's end this, Narutaki!'' Tsukasa declares loudly as he shouts, thrusting the Decade card into the Decadriver on his right waist. ''HENSHIN!''
He slides the card in and slaps the front of the Decadriver. Both it and the K-Touch begin to glow brightly.

Tsukasa begins to transform into Decade as all 9 Heisei Rider Cards float around him as his transformation begins to change heavily, shining with a more magenta light.
Decade's changes, becoming sleeker with black with silver lining across his body and limbs and black chest detail on the stomach portion. He still keeps the rectangle elbows on each arm with silver forearms on each hand and his shoes are all silver but his chest armor changes to become more lineal with magenta colored lining. Decade's helmet also changes with a crown-like forehead. Soon the Rider Cards fly around him, each one transforming into the Final Forms of each rider with Kuuga becoming Rising Ultimate. The cards thrust themselves onto the chest armor with the Decade Rider Card embedded onto the crown, transforming into the same form as the current Decade. As the cards are all attached onto him, Decade's green bug-like visor eyes turns pure magenta color with magenta line through the center of each visor eye.
''DECADE! COMPLETE!'' The Decadriver/K-Touch both announce proudly as Decade, by merely breathing, releases an overwhelming pulse of magenta colored energy across his body so strong it pushes Edaced back. Yusuke staggers astonished while Natsumi has a face of astonishment with Absol gasping of such power.
''Decade Complete?'' Natsumi mutters out speechless with Dragonic smirking. Edaced growls intensely before declaring. ''It doesn't matter what new powers you gain, you are no match for me!''
He waves his arms and creates multiple Aurora Curtains that fly in front of him, summoning multiple monsters. Decade now walks forward as he swipes his hands. The monsters come charging towards him but Decade dashes at the closest and punches it across the chest so hard it cracks and explodes.
The other monsters stagger as Decade comes at them with unseen speed, kicking or punching them away from him as they explode into pieces.
This shocks Edaced as he comes at him with Clock Up with a claw swipe and Decade responds by catching the wrist of his swinging claw before it could touch him. He startles as Decade tosses the monster aside like a ragdoll, slamming onto the ground. Edaced immediately gets up taking flight and flies at him. Decade watches and simply side steps to the left and stomp-kicks the monster away.
''What? How are you-'' Edaced begins to question as he suddenly gets punched by Decade Complete, slamming him into the ground. Natsumi slowly smiles, not imagining Tsukasa would become this much stronger.
''Kaito…'' Decade mutters, thinking of his so-called rival's death. He clenches his fist, admitting he will regret this choice but he owes him. That and the thief will owe him back greatly.
Decade quickly pulls out a Rider Card being Kabuto and thrusts it on his side onto the Decadriver, tapping on the device once.
''FINAL KAMEN RIDE!'' The Decadriver announces as Decade Complete transforms into Kabuto's Final Form, Hyper. ''KABUTO HYPER!''
Edaced staggers as Decade thrusts another card into the Decadriver, tapping on it with a slap.
''ATTACK RIDE!'' The Decadriver proclaims as the Kabuto armor opens up on the back to reveal energy bug-like rainbow-like colored wings. ''HYPER CLOCK UP!''
Suddenly Decade-Kabuto is consumed in green electrical energy and vanishes to rewind the course of events.

Natsumi suddenly blinks while looking around and Tsukasa is gone. But Dragonic is aware, smirking.
''DIE-'' Edaced roars throwing the sphere of energy at Diend but before he could react, sparks of green light appear and Decade-Kabuto emerges and dashes with Hyper Clock Up, punching through the sphere and destroys it before the Frankenstein monster with widen shocked eyes.
''Decade?!'' Narutaki utters as Decade instant performs multiple stomping kicks across his chest before kicking him on the 100th time and sends him flying backwards into the air, sparks flying out. The monster crashes and is dragged onto the ground in pain.
Natsumi, Absol and Yusuke drop their jaws not believing this. Diend is also shocked too staring at the back of-
Decade-Kabuto turns to face Diend as he changes into Decade Complete, telling him with a point of his finger at him. ''You now owe me, Kaito.''
Diend didn't say a word not following what the hell just happened... but it does cause him to chuckle a bit.
''W-w-what just happened?!'' Natsumi questions in surprise, not even sure what even happened. Even Absol is left speechless with a open mouth. Dragonic cracks a smirk, informing her. ''That was Hyper Clock Up. Tsukasa travel back in time and he prevented Kaito's death.''
Yusuke stands up with widened eyes, yelling in disbelief. ''HE CAN DO THAT NOW?! AND KAITO DIED?!''
Dragonic nods with a big grin, unaffected by abilities that rewind or change time.
Edaced gets up angrily, not going to accept this. Even with this new power, he won't win. He will not win!
''Decade! This isn't over!'' Edaced proclaims getting up furious. Decade turns, looking at the pitiful monster and scoffs wiping his hands together.
''I'm just warming up.'' He responds as he taps his gloved finger on the Blade symbol on the K-Touch.
''BLADE!'' The Decadriver announces as he then presses the F symbol as the belt glows. ''KAMEN RIDE! KING!''
Instantly manifesting alongside Decade Complete is Blade King Form. Everyone startles heavily with Natsumi uttering out in surprise. ''Tsukasa-kun can summon holographic versions of other Riders like Daiki-kun!''
Both Decade and Blade King charge forward as Edaced fires multiple spheres. Blade King swings his massive blade and releases a golden energy wave, cancelling the attacks. Decade leaps forward and wields the Ride Booker sword form, slashing down at Edaced follow by the summoned Blade King vertically. Both riders slash down the monster with a strong combination, sparks flying out from the monster.
Natsumi watches and can't help but be amazed, muttering out. ''Amazing…''
Absol nods, feeling the same as Yusuke by ths power.
Edaced is pushed back as Decade pulls out a card, tapping on it twice while Blade King mimics him. Decade thrusts the card into the Decadriver on his left waist side as Blade King still mimics every motion.
''FINAL ATTACK RIDE! BLADE!'' The Decadriver announces as Decade grips his sword with both hands as did Blade King, each one gaining their 5 specific holographic massive cards in a row. They come charging through them and speed them up right through them and find themselves slashing through Edaced. Sparks fly out of him as he gasps in agony.
''That was for Dragonic.'' Decade declares swiping his sword as Blade King mimics him before vanishing. Edaced growls mad as he takes flight. Decade watches as he taps on Kiva's logo on the K-Touch.
''KIVA!'' The K-Touch announces as Decade presses on the F switch. ''KAMEN RIDE! EMPEROR!''
Soon manifesting on his side is Kiva Emperor, wielding the Zanvat Sword. Both riders leap forward and help each other, tossing the other at Edaced. The monster flies around them but both Decade and Kiva Emperor both manage to cut through a wing, causing the monster to crash into the ground instantly and then Kiva holds up his hand and fires waves of red bats, blasting Edaced backwards. Both riders on their feet as they turn in perfect sync and Decade tosses a card into the Decadriver with Kiva Emperor mimicking him.
''FINAL ATTACK RIDE! KIVA!'' The Decadriver announces as Decade and Kiva Emperor swing their swords forward and release energy slashes from their blades at Edaced that just stood up and crossed his arms to guard. He tanks their combination attacks, exploding onto him, yet the damage is still severe causing burns on his arms and damages on them.
''That was for the mutt.'' Decade declares as Kiva Emperor vanishes. Absol blushes red by the comment and that he forgave her.
Edaced breathes heavily uncrossing his arms, never experiencing such pain. He looks at himself, not believing this.
''T-this isn't happening?!'' Narutaki starts complaining through the monster, gazing furious towards Decade. ''I will not LOSE TO YOU! I AM NOT GOING TO DIE BY YOUR HANDS!''
He comes charging as Decade pulls out a card and thrusts it into the Decadriver, slapping its center once.
''FINAL KAMEN RIDE!'' The Decadriver announces as Edaced appears in front of Decade who lifts up his right arm and catches his fist just as he transforms into Kuuga's Final Form, Ultimate. ''KUUGA ULTIMATE!''
Edaced staggers as he tries to pull his arm back but Decade-Kuuga has a good grip on it with a very tight grip as a burst of dark energy manifests and hits Edaced continuously. He growls proclaiming. ''That form isn't-''
Decade simply taps the Decadriver as it announces. ''FINAL KAMEN RIDE!''
Edaced staggers as a burst of golden energy surrounds Decade-Kuuga, transforming him into Rising Ultimate. ''KUUGA RISING ULTIMATE!''
''This is for Yusuke.'' Decade proclaims calmly as he pulls Edaced towards him and delivers a powerful thrusting punch with his other hand, right through the monster. He gasps in massive agony with his eyes widened and twitching before Decade-Kuuga swings a kick and sends him flying backwards. Edaced is slammed onto the ground, gasping as his wound starts regenerating.
Decade-Kuuga wipes his hands as he reverts to Complete.
''Tsukasa-san!'' Hearing Diend's voice, Decade turns as he catches a card. It is the Diend Rider Card as Diend joins beside him and asks playfully. ''Shall we?''
Decade just scoffs as he thrusts the card into his belt, wielding the Ride Booker in gun form.
''FINAL ATTACK RIDE!'' The Decadriver announces as Decade takes aim with his gun as did Diend. Edaced gets up just to see this.
''This one is for Kaito.'' Decade declares as he and Diend fires together. ''DIEND!''
They fire a magenta-cyan energy mixed blast from both their weapons, hitting through Edaced as he screams in agony. The monster grinds his feet on the ground, bracing the blast until it ceases. However he's taken heavy damage, most of his features badly damaged.
''T-this…'' He utters out in dismay, becoming angrier and madder by the moment. No. He did everything right. This was his gift to end this world and he's losing to a form that he had no idea of. Why? WHY?!
''THIS CANNOT BE HAPPENING!'' Narutaki yells out furious, roaring loudly as his body is consumed in dark magenta energy, screaming louder. ''DECADE!''
Natsumi watches bracing herself as did the others but she knows, without a doubt, Tsukasa is about to end this nightmare.
Diend whistles as he takes a step back to let Tsukasa finish this.
Decade Complete puts the Ride Booker on his waist as he pulls out a card, revealing it to be his Final Attack Ride Card.
''And this last one is for Natsumikan and her grandfather.'' He declares, tapping on the card twice before dunking it into his Decadriver.
''FINAL ATTACK RIDE!'' The Decadriver proclaims as the 10 Holographic cards manifest in a row towards Edaced. Decade breathes and takes a leap upward as the cards follow him yet still locking at his target.
Decade Complete takes on the pose of a Rider Kick as he descends rapidly through the cards, passing through them as a magenta aura-like barrier surrounds him. He yells out as he comes down at Edaced with a strong kick just as the monster responds slamming his right fist towards the kick. The two attacks clash, bursts of bright magenta and dark magenta entwine among each other. Decade Complete lets out a small chuckle before he releases more power, overcoming Edaced to his horror. Decade shouts as he kicks right through the monster as the Decadriver proclaims. ''DECADE!''
Decade Complete kicks through Edaced as he lands behind the monster. Breathing softly, Decade reverts back to Tsukasa exhausted as did Edaced, transforming back to Narutaki. Yet the older man gasps in pain as his glasses suddenly crack.

''W-why…'' Narutaki begins to mutter out, almost unable to turn around. ''Why can't you understand?''
Tsukasa doesn't turn around as the man begins telling him, struggling to even move. ''I wanted to end this pointless cycle. You, Riders, will only bring more destruction.''
''Maybe… but we, Riders, are heroes.'' Tsukasa, however, protests his ideal believing in what Yusuke and even Natsumi believe in. ''Regardless of the cycle always repeating, it's still our duty to do what we believe is right.''
Narutaki glares at such utter trash, questioning him weakly. ''So you do it for justice? Such empty-minded justice.''
Tsukasa cracks a smile as he protests carefree. ''I'll like to say we do it for human freedom, for humanity, for the future.''
He turns halfway his head as he then says, recalling all he's seen and the heroes he's met who only wanted to fight for the good of others. ''After all, that is who Kamen Riders are. We fight so there is a future for everyone.''
''… You will doom them…'' Narutaki then mutters out coldly, knowing well there is no future if Decade is part of it. Tsukasa doesn't say a word before looking at his friends up ahead and soon protests with a confident smile. ''No. I will save them. For I am the Destroyer of all threats and ally of all stories. I know who I am.''
Tsukasa then turns towards Narutaki's back, looking at him disappointed before telling him off. ''That is the difference between you and me.''
Narutaki just widens his eyes irately. Tsukasa turns forward and begins walking away as Narutaki slowly turns still grunting, gazing at him with such hate. He grits his teeth, trying to reach out but he isn't going to be able to touch him. All he can do, all he really can do; is utter out a single phrase, two words his remaining energy had to utter- scream out for all to hear including the young man walking away.
''… ONORE DIKEIDO!'' Narutaki screams out furiously as his body starts to glow and soon explodes in a massive blast.
(Before someone ask ''Onore Dikeido'' is translated as ''Curse you, Decade'' and it's one of the biggest meme in Decade)
As the explosion consumes the dust and ashes of Narutaki, Tsukasa slowly wipes his hands as he mutters to himself. ''It's over…''
He joins up with everyone as Diend changes back to Kaito, sighing really drained by this pointless deal he made. Next time, confirm that he gets something good than a distrustful offer.
''Tsukasa-kun!'' Tsukasa eyes towards Natsumi smiling at him. He smiles back. But before they can celebrate, the world around them begins shaking violently.
''W-what's happening now?'' Yusuke utters out as the group looks up to see the sky shattering as if the world- Tsukasa now gets it worrying.
''Narutaki may have had a backup plan. Likely if he was beaten, the destruction effect would spread at full force.'' Dragonic theorizes as it is the only explanation. Absol whines nodding, recalling this happening to her world too.
''Then…'' Yusuke utters out as he looks down defeated. They fought an unstoppable evil and won and yet Narutaki gets the last laugh. It isn't fair. Now everyone is going to vanish and everything they did for nothing.
''After everything…'' Yusuke continues saying in despair until Tsukasa argues towards him. ''Stop complaining Yusuke!''
Yusuke startles looking up at Tsukasa still looking up with a small smirk. He eyes the group and tells them mainly Yusuke. ''Narutaki is just a sore loser and he'll still lose regardless.''
Natsumi looks concerned, not sure how he'll still lose with this happening. Absol then senses it with its ability to sense a disaster and widens her eyes, realizing what Tsukasa will do.
''What do you intend to do?'' Kaito questions him on his plan. Tsukasa forms another smirk on his face, facing him.
''Why my job, Kaito.'' Tsukasa answers him as he stomps his foot. Suddenly the shaking ceases. Most of the group blinks thinking that it ended until they notice up ahead as the world starts vaporizing into nothing to their shock.
''I will destroy the World of Decade.'' Tsukasa reveals to the group, feeling as billions of lives cease to exist including the planet itself. Everyone, including Kaito, startles heavily except Dragonic with his arms crossed.
''W-what?'' Natsumi mutters out but before she could question him, Tsukasa swipes his arm and an Aurora Curtain manifests and starts swallowing everyone in its path. Tsukasa is last as he lets out a deep breath in and then taps his foot a second time, the earth beneath him cracking him.
''See you later huh…'' Recalling the last words he said to Sayo, Tsukasa asks himself with a dismayed smile before he's taken away by the Aurora Curtain. Once gone, the World of Decade starts quaking and vaporizing. It soon explodes, destroyed by Decade's power along with the destruction energy that connected across the other worlds.
The Aurora Curtain takes the group and even the Hikari Studio into another world. Most of the group is staggered as Natsumi realizes where they are.
''This is…'' She begins to mutter out as Dragonic interrupts and reveals it. ''This is indeed Natsumi's world.''
Natsumi nods rapidly. Yusuke turns towards Tsukasa and rushes over, grabbing him by the front of his blazer and demands him angrily. ''What did you do Tsukasa-san?!''
Natsumi is startled that they're actually fighting at a time like this. Tsukasa looks down at Yusuke and bashes him off him, repeating himself again. ''I destroyed the World of Decade. I destroyed my world to prevent the destruction of the Rider Multi-Universe.''
Dragonic nods liking that last minute call he made. Yusuke isn't at all happy to hear that, questioning his cruel act. ''Why?! That was your world! All those people, they're-''
''They were dead long ago, Yusuke.'' Tsukasa, gazing at him calmly, tells him firmly. Yusuke staggers and slowly frowns, thinking about it for a minute. Tsukasa scoffs, explaining in detail. ''If I did save everyone, the destruction would consume us and we would all be dead. I had to contain the destruction to just that world even if I had to kill everyone else in my world.''
Absol looks at Tsukasa and sighs admitting he is a disaster but he's not wrong. Every other life would be gone if not for his sacrifice to destroy his own world which began this destruction. And if he did tried, the destruction would likely spread out of the world and destroy everything again. Absol understands that Tsukasa made a huge sinful act but he also make the right choice too.
Yusuke now understands but this still upsets him, muttering out. ''But your home...''
Tsukasa sighs and tells him shrugging his shoulders. ''I can live without it.''
Kaito scoffs smirking, glad to hear that. Natsumi still feels bad Tsukasa made that choice but it could save all the other worlds then- and then it hits her, uttering out in shock. ''B-but if the World of Decade is gone, then wouldn't the A.R. World of Decade and all other worlds are gone too?''
Tsukasa eyes her and smirks, proclaiming like if he's 5 steps ahead of everyone. ''I thought of that actually.''
Natsumi blinks, puzzled by what he means by that. Tsukasa sets his sight towards the purple dragon and asks him with a hand in his pocket. ''Dragonic, if I put a different world to be the new World of Decade, would it prevent the chain destruction of all worlds?''
Dragonic eyes him and actually smirks, responding. ''Actually yes. I'm surprised you figured that out.''
Natsumi, Yusuke and Absol still didn't follow but Kaito did, questioning. ''Then wait, you-''
Tsukasa eyes him and nods. Natsumi stares and soon realizes it; Tsukasa placed her world in place of hers.
''I had to use a world. I hope you didn't mind, Natsumikan.'' Tsukasa asks her with a small smirk. Natsumi stares blushing before she answers a bit Tsundere-like with her arms crossed. ''A little but I'll live with it.''
Tsukasa still smirks as suddenly a glow comes out from the Ride Booker. He almost forgot he wanted to taunt them.
''Well look at the timing.'' He declares raising his hand forward and manifests an Aurora Curtain as all the 9 previous Riders emerge from it. Natsumi gasps smiling with Yusuke uttering out. ''All the other riders are back!''
Dragonic nods smiling. Through Tsukasa's death, it reset the destruction happening on the other rider worlds and restored those same riders who died by Decade or Diend.
''Yo!'' Hibiki expresses with a small smirk, glad to be alive. Tsukasa salutes back as he eyes Wataru and taunts him. ''So much for a guy without a story huh?''
Wataru just smiles, chuckling, before he responds. ''Point made.''
''You actually did it.'' Shinji expresses happily, placing his hand on his shoulder. Tsukasa scoffs, brushing him off as he says, pointing his finger at him and the other riders. ''You all owe me, remember that.''
''Yea-yea.'' Takumi says acting all cold but he's glad to be alive. Shoichi nods, feeling the same as he expresses even to Tsukasa. ''I'm just happy to have met you guys.''
The other riders smile feeling the same. Even after everything, they are happy to have met each other including Tsukasa and owe him that much.
''And next time, we will become your comrades, Tsukasa-san.'' Ryotaro declares, smiling as the other riders nod. Tsukasa scoffs hoping for that as he manifests another Aurora Curtain. Most of the Riders bid their farewell, entering the curtain.
''Kenzaki.'' Tsukasa then speaks up, noticing Kazuma leaving quiet. He stops eyeing him as Tsukasa tells him firmly about his condition being an Undead. ''That curse of yours can be broken. Don't let it break you.''
Kenzaki eyes him and makes a bittersweet smile, going to try his best to not let his curse break him. He salutes and walks inside the Aurora Curtain.
"A bond is a deep connection that can never be broken. Even apart; hearts are always connected." Tendo preaches with a small smile at Tsukasa and his friends before he turns and waves as he enters the curtain back to his world.
All the riders went back to their world except for the real Yusuke Godai, smiling that Tsukasa created a miracle with his power. Tsukasa looks back at the man, still strongly wanting to beat him. He raises his right hand and finger points at him, proclaiming confidence. ''I'll beat you next time, Yusuke Godai!''
The real Yusuke smiles at Tsukasa and answers excitedly for a friendly rematch. ''I would love that, Tsukasa-san!''
Tsukasa smirks as Yusuke turns and walks inside the curtain as both vanish, returning back to his restored world.
However the Aurora Curtain is still present as Tsukasa eyes the A.R. Yusuke, the friend he's made along his journey. He knows that he can't stay, facing him. Yusuke doesn't say much as he takes a step forward towards the curtain.
''Guess you're leaving too, Yusuke.'' Tsukasa asks him in a taunting voice. Yusuke turns facing him and smiles nodding. He's made up his mind, knowing now he still has a long way before can become stronger like the real Kuuga but he understands now; he understands to not let the darkness of his heart control him but to embody the power to shine through it.
''I want to protect the smiles of my world.'' Yusuke begins to say, believing now he can protect his world. Tsukasa stares at him before cracking a smirk.
''It's been fun traveling with you, idiot.'' Tsukasa states, turning his back at him but still smirking. Yusuke smiles, feeling the same for the journey they traveled together on. He asks of him, hoping he doesn't forget about him. ''Call me if you need help. And Tsukasa, thanks.''
Tsukasa merely salutes as if he will. Yusuke smiles as he looks at Natsumi and tells her. ''Natsumi-chan, don't let him get in that much trouble.''
Natsumi sobs, saddened to see him go but nods, promising him.
''Yusuke… thank you.'' She tells him, grateful for the journey they spent. Yusuke nods as he eyes Absol barking. He nods before looking at Kaito who salutes to him with a cocky smirk. Yusuke turns his back and gives them a thumbs up as he walks inside the curtain. He steps inside and the curtain vanishes.
Natsumi breathes still, sad as she then notices Daiki starting to walk away.
''Leaving too, Kaito?'' Daiki stops and turns eyeing Tsukasa who asked him that. He smirks answering his rival with a carefree voice. ''There are other worlds with treasures calling out to me. I can't deny them.''
Tsukasa scoffs, not surprised. A thief will always be a thief. Kaito prepares to leave but then he warns Tsukasa firmly, pointing his Diendriver at him. ''Oh and don't get in my way, remember that.''
Tsukasa doesn't acknowledge his threat and instead asks him something that's still bugging him. ''Kaito, you never answered why you chose to help Narutaki.''
Dragonic hums just remembering that. Daiki mentioned there were personal reasons why he betrayed Tsukasa. Kaito eyes Tsukasa and just smirks, putting away his blaster. ''I don't want to ruin this moment.''
He then admits to him, smiling as he does his finger gun hand gesture to him. ''Besides, I like you, Tsukasa-san. You're my only rival.''
''... Beat it, thief.'' Tsukasa tells him off with a small smirk. Daiki sighs pretending to be a man who was struck down by his lover. He smirks, saluting as he starts to turn around until Tsukasa then says. ''And Kaito.''
Daiki turns and watches Tsukasa pointing his finger at him. He warns him with a firm smirk. ''I will always get in your way. You remember that!''
Kaito just smirks before he vanishes, seemingly teleported away.
Tsukasa sighs annoyed, really hating that guy as he adjusts his coat. He turns to Natsumi and notices Absol crawling away. He calls her out. ''Guess you're leaving too, mutt?''
Absol staggers, turning to face him. Tsukasa looks at her, walking over. Absol groans thinking he'll- Tsukasa bends down and pets her. The mon blinks, blushing as he thanks her. ''Thank you for protecting Natsumikan.''
Natsumi smiles softly walking up beside Tsukasa, bending down and pets the mon too. Absol blushes even more confused yet… happy, she's happy.
Couching, Tsukasa prepares to let the mon to leave until he gets elbow by Natsumi, eyeing him firmly. He groans rolling his eyes.
''If you want, you can stay.'' Tsukasa begins to say though he glares, still mad about how the dog nearly killed him. ''And no, I am still mad what you did but I'll let it slide, Disaster Mon.''
Absol eyes him, not surprised he's mad about that. She looks down, realizing how wrong she was about this Tsukasa. He's… a good person. A dick but a good human.
She groans thinking for a moment and decides that there is one way she can make it up to him and Natsumi so this never happens again.
''Absol!'' Absol barks at him, blushing angrily. Tsukasa raises an eyebrow and Dragonic grinning.
''Catch you? Why the hell should I-'' Tsukasa begins to protest the idea to catch this killing machine puppy but Absol gazes firmly, serious about it. He sighs rolling his eyes. ''Fine. Then how am I supposed to-''
Tsukasa then finds a side of his cheek rubbed by a round object, held by Dragonic. It is a Pokéball or rather a Premier Ball.
''You and Natsumi throw the ball together.'' Dragonic suggests with a small grin. Tsukasa snatches the ball, looking at it. Natsumi looks at it too and asks concerned. ''We don't have to stuff her in this, right?''
''Only if you need her to get out from something bad-bad.'' Dragonic explains actually glad she feels sad to stuff a mon inside a ball. Natsumi smiles as she eyes the ball. She doesn't get the reason to ''catch'' Absol but if it means they can all be together then she wants to try it.
''Can we, Tsukasa-kun?'' She asks Tsukasa if they do it. Tsukasa eyes her and sighs, willing to try it. Natsumi eyes Absol and asks her. ''You sure about this, Absol-chan?''
''Absol!'' Absol barks willingly to try that, wanting to make a family too. Tsukasa huffs a bit, smiling as he questions. ''Family huh?''
He leans the ball to Natsumi who smiles and holds on to the ball too. The two eye Absol, readying herself. They nod and together throw the ball at the mon. Absol times it and hits the ball with her horn. The Premier Ball opens up and glows, sucking up the mon in a red light. The ball shuts close and drops on the ground. It only shakes once as it stands still.
''Catch successful!'' Dragonic declares grinning. He picks up the ball and tosses it to Natsumi who catches it as he advises her. ''Now throw it up.''
Natsumi eyes the ball and nods, throwing it upward. The ball shines and opens up as Absol emerges out, barking. ''Absol!''
Natsumi giggles, hugging the mon as Absol licks her cheek. Tsukasa sighs as he asks the dog. ''Happy now mutt?''
Absol eyes him and barks upset. ''Absol!''
Tsukasa huffs again with Natsumi not understanding. Dragonic translates what the mon just said. ''She doesn't like how Tsukasa always call her as mutt.''
Natsumi sweat drops figuring as much. She can't blame her with Tsukasa always calling her mutt.
''I don't like her name either.'' Tsukasa begins to sulk at that name. ''Absol? Pff. Dumb.''
Natsumi further sweat drops with Absol glaring at the insult. Tsukasa ignores them, eyeing the purple dragon and asks him. ''Can Pokémon have nicknames?''
Dragonic nods smiling. Tsukasa hums, eyeing Absol and thinks for a moment for a better name. He thinks and then smirks, suggesting. ''How about… Layla.''
Absol soon startles, blushing. She actually likes that name as the dog mon barks smiling. Tsukasa smirks taunting her now. ''Better name right, Layla?''
Absol eyes him and soon grins before charging and biting his leg. Tsukasa immediately yells out in pain, panicking as he lectures her while swinging her off his leg. ''GODDAMN IT! WHY THE HELL ARE YOU BITING ME AGAIN!''
Layla didn't shake off, barking happily. Natsumi stares at them and slowly smiles brightly. Just seeing them all together leaves this happiness into her very soul.
''Tsukasa-kun! Layla-chan!'' Tsukasa blinks, turning as Layla finally gets her fangs off his leg. Both stare at Natsumi who's crying tears of joy, expressing happily as she stands in front of Hikari Studio. ''Welcome home.''
Tsukasa looks at her and just smirks softly, nodding. Natsumi giggles back with Layla smiling, wagging her tail.
Dragonic looks at them and smiles, adjusting his fedora downward. This is a good happy ending, he thought as the group walked inside. Finally, the worlds are restored with bright futures ahead of them.
Author's Note: Time to clarify things:
1) As a greater twist, the climax of the story is based on the Decade Novel and the Decade last movie… but different for very obvious reasons.
2) Tsukasa is back... yea! Also Kaito SORT OF DIES? Not really. Hyper Clock Up. Think Flash and the Speed Force but... honestly, no drawback or side-effect. Actually thankful.
3) The K-Touch and Decade Complete. The K-Touch in the canon series was well… Okay there was a World of Negative, an A.R. Natsumi, the riders of that world were monsters and evil, monsters won and there was the K-Touch that either will save that world or will destroy by Decade…
And the Novel was different as the K-Touch was never a thing and the Complete Form was Tsukasa-Tsukasa's true Rider self.
SO for Tales of the Decade, just another device that Eijiro Hikari created to fully use the complete powers of Decade but that needed 2 things: The 10 Rider Cards and be true to who you are. So Tsukasa revived and speaking to Sayo allowed him to feel complete thus given the ability to use the K-Touch and become Decade Complete, the completed form of Decade.
Also unlike the canon, Decade Complete can become the Final Forms (even Final Forms that aren't the main ones) of the main riders and use their abilities as well as summon the holographic version of those final forms (that don't need to mimic Tsukasa's movements but acts as an extension to his will, fighting individual).
4) Tsukasa destroyed Narutaki once and for all... And destroyed the World of Decade to end the destruction of the other worlds. I feel like the latter is the part people might complain about. Tsukasa had run away from his world, unable to stay for all that happened to Sayo but he was finally able to forgive himself. Regardless, he destroyed his world to save Natsumi and all the other worlds. He is willing to make that choice for he is the Destroyer of Worlds. Oh and the whole Decade's world is gone, just replaced with Natsumi's world which Tsukasa did with Dragonic agreeing. The dragon never said the main world couldn't be replaced hmm.
5) And also all the Riders, all the worlds, were restored. And the goodbye of A.R. Yusuke. He has a world to protect and those smiles too but we might see him again. Of course Absol is forgiven and Tsukasa shows some respect to the mon with a beautiful dark name, Layla.
Sorry for the late reply. Got hit with... personal stuff I hate.
ANYWAY… I might get some hate for this conclusion but honestly it is way better than the canon conclusion but keeping it in theme of what it stands for; the start of Tsukasa's story. He doesn't have to be the hero but he will under his own terms.
Next time we truly conclude Tales of Decade with the Epilogue, next week. It has interesting stuff and... twists. DON'T MISS IT!
One more thing... I REALLY love the title I gave this final chapter. It's probably my favorite title so far.
